Forgive me as I’m new to computer technology. I just like to ad that we’ve used Special Events & Tents in the past for various events. To the “Jessica” /Karen complaining about your deposit. During these Covid times, have some understanding from the business point of view. It almost sounds like you simply changed your mind about your wedding and you place blame on the company. I believe their policy is No Refund from what I remember. Did you sign up with them in the first place knowing this? Probably. We are all going through difficult times, not just your family. As well a very good friend is not getting her deposit back At a hefty price of 4K from a prominent hall in Windsor for her wedding. But, she moved it to this time next year. Stop complaining.

Frank helped to save the day when the DJ for my wedding fell through. I was very thankful for that, however, I wish we had went somewhere else. We would have been better off asking any random friend with a laptop to do the job. When we met with our DJ, we asked him if he could play a different song for each of the wedding party entrances at the wedding reception. He told us that he didn't have the equipment to do this. It was something that we were really hoping to have, so my fiance (who has never DJ'ed anything) sat down, downloaded a free program on his computer, and put a CD together. All of this was done in under an hour. Isn't this something that someone who calls themselves a Disc Jockey should be able to do? We gave him the CD to play. All he had to do was press "next" when each different couple walked in for the reception. Luckily, he was able to do this. During the dancing part of the reception, we had MULTIPLE guests come up to tell us how bad our DJ was. It was a little slow getting people on the dance floor; when people finally started going up to the dancefloor, excited for a song that he put on (I think it was the hustle), he abruptly changed the song (in the middle of the song). He did this often; a song would be playing, it would abruptly stop, and there would be a long pause before the next song started. To top it off, guests told us that he was extremely rude when they went up requesting a song. Even my mom (mother of the bride) was given attitude when she requested a song. After we returned from our honeymoon a few weeks later, I wrote to Frank to let him know how disappointed I was with the DJ that we had. All I would have liked was a simple courtesy email apologizing; he has yet to respond. I would never recommend Special Events & Tents to ANYONE. If you're in a tough situation and desperately need a DJ, save yourself the money and make a playlist on your computer.

ordered a tent in which the photos sent to us were pictures of a nice clean white tent. the product that came was a disgusting, dirty, and shredded to prices tent. the people who set it up didn't even set up the walls and left that, and the slight cleaning of the ceiling to us. most of the walls included were ripped and didn't even have a chance of actually hanging up like they were supposed to. The dance floor was gross, unwashed, and plastic that was a hazard to safety entirely. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

To Hassan, unfortunately I was present with your constant texting and calling. You were happy in the beginning, but shortly thereafter your financée yelling in the background and making more demands on you seemed to have set you off. You forgot to mention that you called very last minute for a tent. We also advised you that we had to abide by the venues regulations regarding set up including the times that they allow. I’m respecting that, the earliest time that we could set up is the time that we arrived. Again you were happy with the tent, however during your personal family argument your focus shifted to the dance floor. You suddenly changed your mind about location. We had to make another trip to re locate and add pieces that were not in the contract, yet we bent over backwards to accommodate you and you were satisfied. The decorator did a fabulous job, the decor was stunning. We do at some points have a less than 3% of the population that is unhappy no matter what you do. Please show all of the photos. The ones I’ve seen from the wedding are beautiful. I hope the rest of your days together aren’t as rocky as the first hours I witness. Congratulations on your on your special day!

After cancelling our wedding due to Covid-19 Special Events and Tents worked diligently to accommodate our new date and even forwarded our deposit without any hassle. I Have nothing but great things to say about this company. I had to cancel my wedding 3 times in the past year due to pandemic regulations. I decided to have our wedding in Ontario, logistic nightmare as most of our family is from B.C. Every step of the way Frank took care of us and the day was Spectacular! Our hall was cancelled several times then eventually closed down. A blessing in disguise I guess as we saved tons of money with an outdoor tent venue instead. Thanks again Frank and his staff.

Hassan it's rather unfortunate that you have to take out your frustrations of what appears to be poor planning and alot of stress out on a company that goes out of the way to make sure the customer is always satisfied. I've been using Special Events & Tents for many years and have always received courteous and top notch service. I know Frank and his team take pride in what they do and I'm sure if you brought something to their attention it would be taken care of right away. Sometimes things don't go as planned, especially when everything is crammed in with little preparation time. To take it out on an amazing family business by leaving a bad review doesn't seem fair. I will always recommend this company because of the excellent customer service I have received for many years

We were very disappointed in the quality of the products we received. The tent was dirty and full of holes. We spent 3 hours cleaning and repairing chairs. There were large holes in the walls of the tent. The tables were falling apart. We had also ordered flooring for the tent and it was not as promised. It was really unstable and wouldn't stay together. It would have endangered our guests. After laying it all down we had to lift it all back up. We returned it and ask for a refund but were told to bad!! Frank has good service and good prices but you get what you pay for because the quality wasn't there.

I find it curious that so many former customers watch this site. With that many happy customers I am very sad to hear he reserved his one old, dirty tent for me. CRA was interested in the cash. Although Frank is very personable he delivered a patched, very dirty tent and very dirty floor even after it was power washed with our equipment. I was extremely disappointed and at 2 days before a wedding what are you supposed to do? The state of the tent was a shame especially when he knew it was for a wedding. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I went to a wedding in Harrow on Sept 2 that had rented a tent from this company. the tent was dirty and had holes in the roof...did I mention it rained that day. I was told how this company had promised a pristine tent and set up. the family had to powerwash the floor that was put down because it was covered in mud. when the owner was contacted regarding the condition of his equipment...he stated you can take it or leave it. obviously a day before the wedding left no other choice but to take it. no discount was offered either. this company doesn't care about the little guy trying to create a positive memorable experience. I hope no-one else ever has to experience this company's poor customer service. I wish I could post pictures of all the holes and dirt in the tent. reading the owners responses on here it is obvious he only spins lies to cover his companies incompetent practices. sincerely disgusted.

We are getting married August 22nd 2020. We hired Frank for our reception as we were planning on 150 people. He was going to supply tents, chairs, DJ and dance floor. Due to covid we ended up having to cancel, as the law states that wedding receptions can have a maximum of 10 people right now. We are still getting married just very small now with parents and our 5 children. When I asked Frank for the deposit back he told me no, he had Bills to pay and he has no way of making income right now so he'd move the date but that was all he could do. I explained that we eventually would love to have a big party but we wouldnt know when we could or when it would even be allowed so I didn't feel comfortable with the idea. He told me I should be kind to small businesses. So now I've paid 1350 for a party that I'm not sure if and when I can even have. I think this was extremely unfair of him as this was out of my control. Every other company we had to cancel with gave back the deposit and were very understanding.

The service club that I have belong to has been using this firm for many years for our tent requirements along with table and chairs and even stages. We have yet to have a disappointment with the set ups and the quotes that we receive are more than competitive than others we have contacted. It has actually got to the point that this is our GO TO supplier.

Highly recommend this company. I have relied on Frank for years and have never been disappointed. His prices are fair and he is so fast and efficient. Answered all of my calls right away, and was always available for me to call incase of emergency during my events (such as weather issues). This alleviated stress for me and allowed me to focus on enjoying my events as Frank took the planning in his own hands. He answered all my questions and made modifications wherever I requested to ensure the event was exactly what I had envisioned. Incredibly hard worker, as well as his staff.
