I booked an appointment with Diana. I show up and she’s not even there. So I call and she tells me that she has a personal appointment at 1030 (our appointment was for 10) and that she wasn’t going to be able to make it. She was not apologetic or remorseful. She did say sorry but she didn’t care. She never called me to let me know that she wasn’t going to be there. Despite confirming my phone number upon booking the consultation. She said she didn’t know which number was mine in her phone. The complete lack of professionalism that I experienced has left a sour taste in my mouth and I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

The wedding hall was STUNNING! All the guests absolutely loved the decor and it really set the mood for the rest of the evening. Swanky Affair has been a long term vendor in the Wedding Extravaganza Show and The Fall Wedding Event both at the Caboto Club. Swanky has always been efficient and dependable to work with in this capacity. They have also done amazing jobs decorating our Interactive Wedding Gallery at our January Show creating a "WOW" factor our guests rave about. Within our corporate event planning division Swanky Affair has won a number of contracts through the RFP process to decorate some of our large corporate events. Dhyana seems to understand many of our corporate client's creative vision and budgets and delivers exactly what they often are looking for. Swanky always delivers exactly what we order with precision and timing. When Dhyana has a question she always asks to clarify exactly what we are looking for. Final numbers of guests and floor plan changes are communicated effectively with Dhyana and she always endeavors to take care of last minute changes. We love the fact that Dhyana and her staff have the hall set up with time to spare giving all involved in the event a cushion to breath before the doors are opened and final touches by the venue like candle lighting can be completed.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience with this decorator. We had Dyanna do a wedding for us. She called the bride's cell phone at 9am the morning of the wedding to throw a tantrum about an extra table that she wasn't told about. She said she didn't have a matching tablecloth (a decorator who doesn't carry a single extra table cloth? What if something else had happened to it like a rip?) and that we would have to pay for her to cover the table with a different one. She called the Bride! The other issue is that we had told her and the hall that we'd like a table for our guests to look up their personalized name and table cards. We had even paid (!) for her to cover this table with a tablecloth. She never had this table set up but had no problem charging us for it here. Regardless of whether or not it's the hall's fault or not, wouldn't you want your decorator to question where the table that you paid her to set up is? Instead, we found out on our own after realizing guests had no idea where they were to sit. We had to enlist family to direct guests to their seats based on our master list we had happened to carry. Nightmare None of the center pieces at the wedding had the candles in them lit. Can you imagine? She just had her staff place them on the table and never lit the candles in the CANDLEABRA!! She had also promised candle votives on mirrors at the base of all the centerpieces at each table. There wasn't a single candle in the table let alone a mirror. So disappointing. She was difficult to get hold of as she was doing this alongside a job. Also, we barely met two times and she NEVER wrote anything down. Overall we felt we her service and professionalism was very disappointing. The person who had originally recommended her to us decided not to recommend her to her own sister after she saw our wedding decor situation... Add: a lot of money was paid for their hall to be decorated the way the contract had been agreed upon. They paid every single dollar upfront and trusted that this decorator would simply deliver what was promised. It is not their responsibility, on their wedding day, to show up and take account of all the errors with the decor and report back to this decorator. they paid for a decorator to make sure the hall is perfect before leaving - the decorator was just expected to full fill her end of the contract and unfortunately this did not happen in our personal experience. Updated stars to 2 as from this experience I would not be able to recommend
