Though the road to my reception was not easy, Ally was great on the day. She went above and beyond and guests were talking about how well organized the whole event was.
From a photographer's perspective, Ally was short of a miracle worker. We were part of a group of photographers who attended a photography workshop where Ally was the event planning lead and designer for the day. The planning even started before the day of events, with clear and consistent messaging and programming timeline details. It is really appreciated as a photographer, to walk into a shoot to only have to worry about taking photos, and not every detail. At one point I was looking to light some candles, and Ally popped out of the trees with a lighter, she's a magician! The work on the shoot was absolutely gorgeous. I would not only recommend Ally for styled shoots, but if this is the attention to detail she brings for a shoot for photographers, I can only imagine the care and consideration she takes for weddings and other events.
I cannot say enough great things about Ally! She does the best job at planning, communicating, and bringing beautiful designs to life! As a vendor, I can say that everything runs SO smoothly with Ally around. She is committed 1000% to her clients, and she really puts her heart and soul into each event. Working with her takes away all the stress you would typically have during a big event because she's away a step ahead. She is the BEST at what she does!!! I cannot wait to work with her again.

I had the pleasure of working with Ally the first time 2 years ago. I was immediately impressed at her confidence and ability to smooth out the major wrinkles that arose at the wedding venue. She was in constant communication with me in regard to timing as well as a few change ups to the original schedule. Hiring Ally was the best decision I made while planning my wedding. She was there for me every step of the way, ensured that I did everything I needed before the wedding and made my wedding day run perfectly. Ally is calm, professional and so kind. We had planned a very elaborate party in April 2020 for my mom's 60th birthday party. Due to COVID, we had to cancel and then re-book the party, and then cancel again! It was very stressful with all of the changes. However, Ally made it very easy. It was the best decision I have ever made to hire her. She is professional, has a wonderful vision, and is very understanding. She advocated for us with vendors, and worked so so hard. Thanks again Ally - we hope to work with you again in the future!
I had the opportunity to work with Ally from Perfectly Designed Events for the first time recently and it was the most wonderful experience! Ally had reached out to me around late July, and right off the bat, she came in with a clear vision for an upcoming photoshoot that she was planning for September 7, 2020. After reviewing her full design deck, I was completely sold! I fell in love with the timeless, simple and minimalistic vibe she was aiming for, and knew right away how I wanted to meet her expectations for calligraphy & stationery. From the get-go, Ally was extremely clear with what stationery items she needed. This included a full invitation suite, 6 menus, signage, a custom hanger, 40 champagne flute escort cards and 2 champagne bottle engravings. I’m honoured that Ally had invited me to be part of a shoot that heavily focused on stationery as this project really allowed me to showcase many different detail elements. Throughout the whole project, Ally was quick to respond to my questions, and I really enjoyed brainstorming design ideas with her to fulfill her vision. She gave me plenty of time to work on everything to completion. I also appreciated the way she handled the logistics, including coordinating to provide me with all the necessary items to work on and then picking them up as well. Ally was absolutely indispensable leading up to and on our wedding day. After having a venue double book us we decided we needed a wedding planner to make sure everything stayed on track and to help reduce our stress. We are so happy we made this decision because through venue issues and COVID there is no way we could have had our wedding without her. Our wedding plans changed several times through COVID and Ally helped us every step of the way. She is quick to respond and professional. She acted as a middle-person between us and the venue which reduced our stress. She has a very calm and kind way of speaking while still asserting what needs to be done with any vendors, and when you're in the middle of wedding planning that's exactly what you need. There are many details surrounding our wedding that would not have happened if it weren't for Ally. Not being in the wedding industry ourselves we really wouldn't have known where to start without her help. She is extremely organized and ensures that you don't miss out on any of the details you want to include in the wedding. She was also very conscious of our budget and budgeting was one of the first things she went through with us. She knows what makes the most sense to spend your money on and what doesn't. I know we saved money by having her assistance. Our entire wedding party and families commented on how amazingly organized Ally was. Having her there on our wedding day made things run quickly and smoothly. Having her direct us for pictures and other parts of the night made sure we had as much time as possible to enjoy our time instead of trying to figure out what we needed to do next. She worked so well with all of our vendors and we have also heard from them that they absolutely loved working with her. While I'm sure most wedding planners would offer similar services I can not imagine that any of them would have been as kind and helpful as Ally was. Her organization and way of ensuring we got what we wanted out of the day was extraordinary. This was the most challenging time to have a wedding and she ensured our wedding day was perfect while also making sure it was safe for everyone involved. I can't recommend her enough.

There is a reason "Perfect" is in the title of Ally's business! Her wedding planning services was everything we wanted and more for our special day. She is willing to go above and beyond to make your dreams a reality and guide you through the entire process. She was great at honing in what truly matters to the couple and gave us great advice on navigating this special day. I work in the creative industry and admittedly can be very particular with design decisions. That said, I trusted her FULLY to bring my husband and I's vision to life. Everything she touched was true perfection. She helped plan the vision of the décor and executed it brilliantly. My husband and I were blown away by how beautiful everything was and hot detailed oriented she was! We reached out to her for a small elopement less then a month out from the date we were planning and everything ran so smoothly because of her amazing organization skills and ability to troubleshoot on the spot. She hand selected our vendors and made the process so enjoyable for both of us. To give you an anecdote from our wedding that really illustrates her dedication to her couples was right before we had the ceremony my husband and I realized WE HAD FORGOTTEN THE RINGS! Ally not only had emergency back up rings and was 100% calm BUT SHE DROVE BACK TO OUR HOTEL FOR US, GOT THE RINGS, AND LITERALLY SAVED THE DAY FOR OUR WEDDING! Our ceremony was completely relaxing for us because she took initiative to make it this way despite the hurdle! If you are looking for a wedding planner look no further. Ally has raised the bar so incredibly high for the industry and it shows.
I’m sharing this review as a wedding industry professional and sister of the bride. As summers pass, it’s become more rare for me to view weddings and the staff from a guests perspective. Saturday, Ally and Danie helped organize and run my sisters wedding after many reschedules due to the “pandy.” Watching them swiftly move through dealing with the wind damage and welcome guests, keeping the timeline, organize family for photos, as a photographer myself was incredible. Often I have a second photographer accompany me during my own wedding bookings but rarely does a planner get so involved willingly and swiftly when one is not there. Danie was able to ensure people were not struggling with the heat, my sister had water and what she needed whenever needed and had family members swapping out quickly and timely. Together, and then separately as they needed to split up, they ensured my sister had the day she so deserved after a year and a bit of uncertainty. Every interaction with them was pleasant and I look forward to working with them professionally in the future as I recommend them to my own couples for their wedding planning needs.

As a wedding photographer based in Canmore, Alberta, I had the pleasure of working with Ally over the past few months to plan a mountain wedding. During our email exchanges she struck me as extremely organized and committed to making her client's wedding a success even if she was planning it from across the country! On the wedding day, her professionalism and commitment to her clients was plain to see as she kept everything running smoothly and even joined us on a sunset mountain top hike for photos while assisting the entire time! We hired Ally to be a "day of" coordinator, but when I found out my pregnancy was at risk of preterm birth, we asked if she could take on more work with not much time before the wedding. She stepped up and took on a full coordinator role, and made sure everything was set up so we could have as worry-free a wedding as possible, given the circumstances! She is incredibly detail-oriented, and just an overall kind and warm person. We thought we might have to cancel our wedding, but thanks to Ally, we were able to have a perfect day.

We booked Ally about 2 months after we got engaged in July. In that short time I had a lot done already! There was much more to be done though ????! Ally was the perfect choice for us because she was efficient, professional, caring, responsive and organized (like Monica organized). As we all carried along planning the wedding, a little surprise came along... no not that... COVID. COVID screwed us. As many of you know it happened in the middle of March and our wedding was August 29th, 2020. We all waited to hear about when this would go away. Then, the world was shut down and myself and my fiancé (at the time ????) waited and waited to see what the stages were going to be. During this whole time Ally was quick to answer our emails and was patient as we decided what direction we were going to go. Then, my venue emailed and said they would be closing until September so our wedding there would be cancelled. We had no idea what to do. Ally gave suggestions, communicated clearly and was so sensitive to our situation. So we waited again. We wanted to see what Stage 3 was going to be and then make our final decision. When stage 3 came out, we decided we were going to go along with our wedding but we had to find a new venue now. With restrictions, we had to be outside now because our guest list was too high for indoors even after we reduced. Ally worked incredibly hard to search for hundreds of venues that fit within our budget and with what we were looking for. We finally found a venue at the end of July and we were sticking with our original date, August 29th, 2020. We had 4 WEEKS to put together a wedding that was nothing like the wedding we had already planned before COVID hit. This wedding was nothing liked I planned but it was exactly what I wanted. Ally absolutely killed it and made our wedding day the most perfect day we could possibly imagine. Her organization, efficiency and communication skills are unmatched to anyone else. I am not very good at expressing myself through email and Ally is an expert. Ally was still planning other weddings including one that was two weeks before mine, where she went out of province to do a wedding in the mountains while still planning ours and you would have never known. I could go on and on about all the problems that arose but it doesn’t matter because Ally literally fixed every single one right up to the day of our wedding. I cannot recommend Ally enough. She excelled at her job and is very passionate about it. I’m sure she is happy it’s over because it was not easy this past year. Thank you Ally for planning something we never imagined and making it ours. ❤️

I recently worked with Ally for the first time and have endless wonderful things to say about her! I am a wedding photographer, so I’ve worked with many planners through the years. Ally has a contagious kindness and outgoing personality. She worked hard the entire day, barely even eating during the meal to ensure things were on track. She planned the wedding during COVID, and handled it all with ease and while keeping our couple at ease. Ally was there for every moment of the day, ready to help or adjust anything that needed tweaking. She continuously helped with photos by either calling names or fixing bridal hair, making my job easier! Her communication (before the wedding and day of) was incredible, as well as her time management. Ally works hard for her couples, that much is easy to tell you. I dont even know where to begin. Having Ally as our wedding planner was the best decision we made. Ally is hard working, organized, patient, detail oriented and committed to making your vision come to life. We got married in October 2020 and there was quite a bit of stress at first surrounding the wedding because of COVID. However, Ally alleviated all of our worries (and ours guests) because we knew that she was up to date with the current regulations and that she would help us take all necessary precautions to keep everyone feeling safe. Ally was even willing to help each individual guest "customize" their day so they could be a part of the celebration all while meeting their covid needs and concerns. Additionally we have been told by many guests that it was the smoothest timeline/ best wedding they have been too and that is all thanks to Ally. She kept us on time and made sure everyone (bridal party& guests) were well cared for. We are so grateful that we got to work with Ally. Throughout the time we worked together Ally became more of a friend. We will miss working with her but are sure our paths will cross again!

I didn't know it was possible for someone to work as hard as Ally does, or for a wedding day to go as smooth as it does when Ally is on the job. The name Perfectly Designed Events suits perfectly for my baby's first birthday which was organized by Ally herself! I am a person who is very much particular to attention to detail and Ally never failed me! All of my imagination (Pinterest board) came to life at the party. Everything was PERFECT! As a first time mom, I didn't get to have ample of time to plan and source out suppliers which basically are the stressful part of planning an event but Ally handled it with ease! Not only we were celebrating my daughter's first birthday but our first year as first time parents and one year of my breastfeeding journey as well. And she is one of the few who made it very memorable for us! If there's one thing I did best for my daughter's first birthday, it would be hiring Ally as a coordinator. She is very professional, attention to detail, hands-on, creates timeline, dedicated and think of the event on the perspective of the client. Lucky are the brides and grooms who got to work with her in making their wedding day memorable! She is a blessing! Five stars for her and to Perfectly Designed Events! Not only am I a student in a graduate program, I'm a pandemic bride, who’s had to face a lot of challenges with school, family members and changing of locations, but one person who turned this wedding from maybe not happening to the best adventure of my life was Ally. Ally was with us from the get go and the best decision we made was to have her as part of our wedding team. Ally helped plan our first wedding before the pandemic but also was so adaptable and changed to help us elope and escape to the mountains. Ally even climbed a mountain and hopped in freezing cold water with us just to help us get the perfect shots. Coming down the mountain, Ally stayed with me as I was in my dress to help me down and if that’s not support then I don't know what is. I have never met someone so organized, knowledgeable and caring about weddings. She made sure we asked all the right questions with vendors and was so willing to talk to everyone included in our wedding. For me, being in school and having to do a lot, having Ally made the wedding planning so much less stressful, especially on the day of the wedding. If you’re a busy bride, not a wedding person (like me), or just want to make sure you have everything to have the best day possible, then you should definitely hire or at least talk with Ally to find out how amazing she is. Despite rain and how busy the actual day was, she kept us on schedule (even a bit early) the entire day. The day before the wedding, Ally was helping finalize all of the details of the ceremony and reception and always made the effort to ensure that the bride was happy with each decision being made by the groom or their family members. There was some stress on the wedding day in regards to the weather and Ally kept everyone calm and had back-up plans in place in case it rained. She was prepared for anything and everything and handled every situation amazingly. It was such a great help having her around and she made the wedding day that much more stress-free and enjoyable. I know the bride and groom had the most amazing wedding day and Ally was a big part in making that happen!
When we started planning the wedding for my son and his fiance, we really thought we could manage on our own. A few months before the big day Ally was recommended to us and we decided that maybe a wedding planner would be a good idea. WOW Best decision of the whole wedding. She thought of things that we had not considered. She made a list of what we wanted to happen and when, and from that day forward I felt so much better about the whole day. On the wedding day she was on everything. She kept us on time and was even attentive to needs of quests that I didn't hear about until later on. I was a maid of honour in a wedding this past weekend and I really can’t imagine getting through the day without Ally. Ally eliminated any stress for the whole wedding party, especially the bride and groom. Anything you needed or even things you didn't think of Ally was on top of them. We were all able to relax and enjoy the day. Ally came with us to the venue the day before the wedding to help set up. She then led us through the rehearsal and went over the schedule for the wedding day. She even printed out pocket schedules for everyone. The Bride and I also met with Ally a month or two before the wedding to go over everything. It was shocking to realize all the small details we had not even considered. She then put together a “to do” list for us to work on over the next few months. On top of being an incredible wedding planner/organizer she is also such an amazing person. We’d like to start off by confirming that Ally not only lives up to but exceeds the idea of her business name. She truly cultivated a perfectly designed event in our wedding day. We originally looked to Ally for day-of coordination, however, after first talking with her, we quickly realized we needed her expertise from the beginning to the end. Ally’s skillset was unmatched and it was recognized by everyone who took part in our wedding. She is incredibly organized, efficient and understanding. Ally will truly take your ideas and make them a reality. Our ceremony location and venue were breathtaking. The placement of everything, and the romantic atmosphere she created left us speechless. Ally also thought of everything, down to creating an tiny little accessible card that organized the day into a timeline for the wedding party and parents. Every person that mentioned Ally to us during the day of our wedding raved endlessly about how amazing she was at her job, to which we confirmed that she was the one person we couldn’t have gotten through our wedding day without. We can confidently say that out of all the wedding decisions we made, choosing Ally to be our wedding planner was by far the best choice we made! I was initially opposed to hiring a wedding planner as I thought we could do everything ourselves (despite living in Australia and planning a wedding in London, Canada!). Although I still feel we could have had a nice wedding regardless, having Ally made it 10x better and easier. We chose Ally as our wedding planner because from the start it was clear she recognised the challenges of living overseas. She used Skype and email as our main method of contact and always factored in our time zone when planning meetings. We contacted Ally around February 2019 for our June 2019 wedding. I had already chosen the venue and caterer, and sent out the invitations; but I quickly realised there were some aspects we were likely missing! After 'getting to know us' over Skype, she developed monthly to-do lists which she was great at following up on. There were multiple little things she identified that I hadn't even considered (such as would the caterer be supplying salt and pepper?) Because I couldn't phone and visit the various wedding companies, Ally did the leg work for me. She went to my venue multiple times for the simplest things, such as determining where the outlets were located around the room. She also recommended local hair/makeup artists, photobooths and djs. If at any point I struggled to get in touch with someone, she was willing to phone them and act as the go-between. She was also willing to deal with our parents who wanted to be more involved. Considering the family frustrations that can develop over wedding stuff, this was a blessing we hadn't expected. And she smoothly acted as a go-between when there were conflicting ideas. We only met Ally in person 3 days before the wedding. She made everyone feel comfortable and made it clear that she had set aside time over the next couple days to do whatever needed to be done. Unexpectedly, she offered to take home my wedding chalkboards and mirrors to be decorated. They turned out much better than anything I could have done! On the day of we had a hiccup with the caterer arriving quite late, but I knew with Ally running the show she'd come up with a solution if they didn't arrive. So although I was aware that I HAD NO CATERER as my guests were being seated for dinner, I can honestly say that I wasn't freaking out. We had our photobooth people, DJ, and photographer all tell us that Ally was one of the best wedding planners they had worked with. It was the simple things she did that made her stand out, such as reorganising our family photo list so they flowed well and in a timely manner, or helping our MC create our 'Wedding Shoe Game' questions. To summarise why it was totally worth it to book Ally as our wedding planner in London, ON: *Ease of communication (even across the world!) *Her attention to detail (including decor and little things I was likely to forget) *Her rapport with our guests and all of the wedding staff She made me feel like if anything went wrong, I had someone who could handle everything behind the scenes as my guests remained oblivious.
I couldn't thank Ally enough, and our family and friends echoed the same sentiment. We contacted Ally as a day of coordinator, but she was so much more. After I spoke with her on the phone, we contacted her within the hour confirming that we absolutely wanted to have her aboard. With a wedding on private property, there were many moving pieces - that with Ally and Ash, all moved in sync. Ally is so well suited for what she does, she is perfectly organized and incredibly friendly and professional, she knows how to gracefully keep any hiccups under wrap and is always graceful and calm as she thinks on her feet. She becomes a new friend and so easily fits in with friends and family, and she is full of nice touches. Ally and her assistant Ash ensured we had the best day, and we truly did. We spent our day stress free and were able to be fully present with each other and our family and friends; and there is nothing more important. Our family will have other weddings coming down the line, and we know that Ally will be the first call made.
I had the absolute best experience working with Ally to help plan my wedding! I hired her about a year away from my wedding date for the partial planning package, and from the day I hired her up until my wedding day she was so helpful and always responded in a timely manner to all of my questions. She was very thorough with everything she did and I felt like I was her number one priority. My wedding day was perfect and I know that is in large part due to Ally, I cannot recommend her enough. Not only did I enjoy working with her, but I also got compliments from my other venders and members of my wedding party/family about how amazing she was!

Ally and her team were wonderful to have involved in a recent wedding I was in. Ally brought so much experience, professionalism and detail with her. The wedding was so well organized and stayed right on schedule. Ally had worked out all of the fine details, ensuring the day went smoothly. As a bridesmaid, it was great having Ally and her team take care of the stressful parts of a wedding; set up, takedown, keeping the bride calm, organizing guest, etc. and allowed the bridal party and family to fully enjoy the day. Ally was also a great asset to have in these crazy COVID times. She was up to date on all the latest restriction, the dos and don'ts for a COVID wedding and worked diligently to keep everyone as safe as possible. Overall, Ally helped prevent the wedding from floundering in the pandemic, made the day easy and fun and most importantly, made the bride & groom very happy.
Hiring Ally to do our day-of coordination was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She is so lovely to work with, very professional, and has an excellent cooperative rapport with other wedding vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page. Trust me: you get ONE wedding day, and it goes by FAST. You do not want to spend it being bothered by vendors' questions, having to deal with stressful hiccups that arise, and keep track of all the (literally hundreds) of details that need to be addressed as your wedding day unfolds. You don't want your family or wedding party to have to deal with that either - you want them to be present in the moment and enjoy every minute of the day with you. It's not supposed to be stressful! I handed over the reins to Ally with complete confidence, knowing everything would be taken care of so expertly. My husband and I got to enjoy the day, our wedding party and family didn't have to lift a finger, and we sailed through the day completely stress-free. Brides: you CANNOT put a price on that!!! Ally is absolutely AMAZING! She was always professional and returned emails very quickly and thoroughly. Her ideas were great and her follow-through was quick and seamless. Her attention to detail was impeccable! She was a breath of fresh air in planning a virtual bridal shower when I was unable to get things completed myself. She arrived at our home exactly when she said she would to set up in preparation for the days events. She was happy and excited about our event. She stayed with us throughout the day and joined on the virtual event in the background so she could provide me with details such as who the winner of the games were, and to fix any technical difficulties etc. It was so so helpful and took the pressure off of me and allowed me to enjoy the event as well. I would absolutely consider having Perfectly Designed Events if you are planning any event! I know we will certainly have her for any other event we may have. My wife (still feels crazy to say) and I booked Ally back when we lived in London about a year and a half ago to help us with our wedding. We originally were going to have it in Cobourg, Ontario for about 80 people but then COVID hit, and our guests had many opinions, so we decided to change course with about 4 months left before the wedding! We decided if we had to have a smaller wedding we might as well do it in Alberta near the mountains as it meant so much to my wife and I, and we were worried Ally wouldn't be able to help us. Not only did she jump at the chance, helping to find us vendors in another province, but she was more than happy to fly out there and join us! She was always responsible and so organized, our day would not have gone nearly as smoothly without her. When we decided to hike up a mountain for our wedding photos, she decided to join us and hiked up the entire way! On the way back down she stopped at every steep area and helped my wife down as her dress made it difficult. I could go on and on about how nice she made our day and how amazing she was through the whole process but basically, if you are having a wedding, BOOK ALLY!! You will not regret it and you will be met with quick responses, constant optimism no matter what may go wrong, an everlasting willingness to make your wedding day everything you dreamed of, and just a great guest to join you on your special day. We can’t thank Ally enough for everything she did for us, not only on our wedding day but also the months prior to make our wedding dream come true. Our wedding was perfect, exactly what we had envisioned and a huge part of that success was because of Ally. Not only did we have a phenomenal day and night but our guests can’t stop raving about it. My husband and i took on the challenge of having a pandemic friendly wedding and having Ally to help us navigate was such a game changer! With the new rules coming out we had to change EVERYTHING for the wedding except the people and our outfits in only 18 days, Ally was amazing she sat with us and went over what could stay and what we now had to do, with her help we were able to book a new venue, tent, rentals and confirm a new meal. She was able to help us plan to have fun yet still keep everyone safe & healthy. With no dancing we had a hard time trying to figure out how to keep the night going and after speaking with her we decided to do the classic shoe game & a stationary flip cup tournament (covid friendly with everyone staying at their own tables ) and it was a highlight of the night for sure and a lot of people said they loved it! She brought to light a lot of the legal sides of hosting a wedding that we would have never thought of and was able to save us a lot of stress & worry by making sure we were covered in every aspect of the day. Speaking to Ally before and having her help was amazing and I can honestly say without her we wouldn't have had such an incredible wedding day to remember !
I don't even know where to begin. Ally was absolutely amazing for the month of, day of wedding planning. When I first started planning my wedding, I didn't think I needed any help but as the day came closer I decided it would probably make my day better and did it ever! Ally could see my vision I had and made sure it all came together. Ally's answer was always "yes of course" whenever I asked her for anything, seriously anything. I also thought I was organized until I met her. Her to do list's made me feel extremely organized and ready for the day. I would say most guests at weddings don't ever really notice the wedding planner but I had a number of guests comment how amazing Ally was as she seriously was not only helping me and my wedding party but all my guests as well. Ally is amazing, We started out planning our own wedding for the summer of 2020, Thanks to Covid-19 we had to postpone and honestly thank goodness.. As soon as we called it off I found Ally's info and contacted her right away to get things in motion for the summer of 2021. We live in Alberta and we were planning a wedding in Ontario which was so hard calling all the vendors with the time difference and google searching..
