I was totally on the fence about whether I needed a wedding planner since I was planning a garden wedding with only 30 people. Hiring Melanie and her team was the actual best decision that I made in the entire planning process. She's incredibly down to earth, honest, and professional. She was such a comfort to me throughout the process and she went so far above and beyond for the full year beforehand and on the day-of. I honestly cannot recommend Oak & Honey enough. My wedding would not have been the same and I would have been a nervous wreck without them. The final event was absolutely gorgeous beyond my wildest dreams and it's in very large part to Melanie and her team.

Honestly, our wedding would not have been possible without Oak + Honey. My now-wife and I were planning our wedding from across the country and the thought of trying to wrangle vendors and finding a venue was daunting. Melanie and Melissa helped us every step of the way, making a plan with us and keeping us on track. Their knowledge of the local vendors is incredible and we were happy with every recommendation. They also gave us incredible design tips and worked with our vendors with the result being a wedding that was exactly what we wanted, even with a last minute change of plans because of weather. If you decide to trust your wedding to Oak + Honey you can relax, you're in great hands!

after telling my husband we were hiring a “day of” coordinator for our daughters wedding, he wasn’t very happy that something else was being added to the budget & questioned the $$ being spent. fast forward to the night of our daughters wedding day. after the crowds left & we were packing up to head home, he looked at me and said “melanie & her staff were invaluable today. best $$ i spent on this wedding”. his words sum up their 5 star rating.

From that moment on, Melanie and her staff were going above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Even with all of the opinions and ideas thrown around, I always felt like Melanie was listening to and thinking of me and my fiance first. My husband and I live outside the country and I decided to plan my own wedding. Having worked in the event industry and weddings in the past I knew the amount of work I would have planning from afar and getting everything set leading up to and especially the big day. I decided to hire Oak & Honey for wedding coordinating services, and it was the best decision I made during this process. Since we live outside the country, we first spoke with Melanie over the phone and then via Facetime. Even though our initial meeting was over the phone, she was on top of everything 8 weeks out which definitely relieved my nerves and stress. Melanie had also worked with all of the vendors we hired so having the relationship with everyone in the industry definitely made things easier for every vendor. We got married on a family property, so the week of the wedding Melanie was also onsite for us when vendors made their deliveries which again was a huge help for us, and she was amazing at coordinating their times and where everything went. The day of the wedding Melanie was incredible and on top of everything making it 100% stress free for me and the rest of the wedding party. She coordinated with all the vendors where flowers needed to go, set out all of my table numbers and seat assignments, guided guests to their seats, helped coordinate the music timings with the DJ, and liaised with the caterers on food and allergies and this is just to name a few things. I have been in Melanie’s position before and know the hard work that it takes and running around on the day non-stop and I can say she did an amazing job. Minutes before the wedding she even pinning the boutonnieres and helping my mom with her dress. Throughout the cocktail hour, photos and reception she was on hand for anything that we needed which was so great and far more than I expected! I am sure she did so much more than I was even aware of which made it flawless. Our wedding was truly a fairytale and thanks to Melanie we did not have any stress or worries. I 100% would recommend any bride to hire Oak & Honey for their wedding! You will not be disappointed and will only make your day even better!

I have the unique perspective as the mother of both a bride and a groom that utilized the day-of coordination services of Oak & Honey Events. The weddings were approximately 1 year apart (July 2017 and July 2018). The first wedding involved a bridal party of 16, and 200+ guests. The second had no bridal party, and fewer than 100 guests. Both weddings were flawlessly executed, thanks to the coordination efforts of Melanie Tindell and Oak & Honey Events. We so appreciated the responsiveness of the team during the planning stages, and the coordination of the final confirmations and scheduling of all vendors. The timelines provided for both weddings were very manageable and kept everyone on track the day of the wedding. Melanie and her team have a great sense of design, style and attention to detail and placed all of the décor in a pleasing and sensible manner. When you consider your wedding budget, and all the resources you will expend to plan the best day possible, the most critical investment, in my opinion, is insuring that your vision will be perfectly executed. Because of our trust in Melanie and Oak & Honey, the families were able to enjoy the wedding day in a relaxed manner, knowing that all of the details would be attended to, and that any problems that popped up would be solved by Melanie and her team. They are certainly worthy of more than 5 stars!

Seriously have no idea what we would have done without Melissa and Melanie! My husband/family were not “sold” on hiring a wedding planner but we are now recommending hiring a wedding planner to everyone we know! Melissa kept me sane and broke down the wedding planning process into manageable pieces. Hiring Oak and Honey for our wedding was by far the best decision I made during the whole planning process! I was one of those brides who thought I could do everything on my own, but as the day got closer I realized I was going to need some major help pulling all my hard work together in an organized way. My interactions with Oak and Honey were amazing from the very beginning. Melissa and I met about 8 weeks before the big day (I had already booked all my vendors by myself at this point) and discussed how to pull everything together. I was super comfortable handing everything over to Melissa because I could tell right away she really cared about me and our day going exactly how I wanted. So she became the point of contact for all my vendors- which was amazing because we got married in a barn on a farm so we had A LOT of vendors coming in. I didn't have to worry anymore about coordinating a bunch of phone calls and emails on top of everything else I was doing. From there she made an AMAZING AND DETAILED timeline- which is exactly what I needed to ease my mind. She made sure all the vendors were on the same page and on the same timeline. Any time I had a question she responded instantly. There was never a lag or lack in communication EVER. She came to our rehearsal the day before and made sure everything was in place. On the actual wedding day I was able to enjoy getting ready with my bridesmaids because Melissa was the one taking all the phone calls and setting everything up at the farm that was 30 minutes away form where I was getting ready. I have no idea how I would have done all this without Melissa. When we got to the venue and had our first look and pictures done, I snuck up to the barn to peak at the setup and decor before the ceremony...and let me tell you... IT WAS GORGEOUS, I WAS IN SHOCK. I had a vision in my mind of what I wanted our reception to look like and Melissa went above and beyond all my expectations making it happen. My one bridesmaid even made a comment that it looked like a wedding straight off of Pinterest. Throughout the night she made sure everything was on track and took care of any issue that popped up without worrying me. She made sure I was eating and drinking and really cared about me as a person, not just a client. After everything was over, she loaded all our gifts in to the car and tore down all the decor so we didn't have to worry about that either. Oak and Honey also offers to donate all your flowers to a nursing home- which I loved and decided to do that. I could go on and on about how great I think this company is, but our day would not have been possible without Melissa and Oak and Honey, seriously! The peace of mind they provided to me during a very stressful time was worth every penny. Do yourself a huge favor and book this company!!!! Thank you so much!

There's a good reason they're the most highly rated wedding planners in the Cleveland area--it's because they're the best.
