Oh my gosh. I don't know where to begin! LaMalfa was just so wonderful! Robert the manager was such a help and got me and my husband everything we wanted. Would recommend this place to everyone! What a perfect wedding reception we had because of them. :)

The experience here was okay. I did like the venue, very spacious. However we went on Easter and I very much regret going, will be the last time. There were lots of food options but too much for the sternos to try to keep warm so we had lukewarm to cold food. And I would have thought the tables would have had water or cups on them, but you had to go to the bar to be served. All that said I would like to check out sometime their happy hour, I imagine serving fresh to order food it would be better quality.

My son and daughter chose the La Malfa Centre for their wedding due to location, convenience and the attached Holiday Inn Express. The planning sessions with Mr. La Malfa Sr. and Marty were geared toward the bride and that made things so easy to arrange and set up. Marty and Jessica handled every detail and with the additions of beads, chair covers, sashes and upgrades at the last minute, everything was still flawless. Tricia the Ballroom Manager and the servers along with Danny and Dave the bartenders gave us a great experience and made the day the best we could hope for. The food was excellent and everyone commented on the "home cooked" flavor and it all came out piping hot. Thanks Mike and Brandon! The manager at La Malfa Holiday Inn Express dealt with all the reservations, gift bags and requests and she did a stellar job. All the staff was very polite and professional and treated me and my family very nice. Our overall experience at this facility was "EXCELLENT"! My next wedding will obviously be at La Malfa. Thanks again for a great experience....it made the day extra special!

What an absolutely excellent venue to host a wedding! I don't think I have ever met a person like Marty La Malfa who is as good at what he does for a living, in any business field, as he is. The entire staff is very well trained and professional in all aspects.

We have a great, memorable time every time! Especially when we go with a group of friends. The rooms are large & spacious. Impeccably decorated. Jacuzzi rooms are so hard to leave. Finest large pillows and bedding wrap you in the best rest you will ever get at any other hotel. Delicious, Amazing Choices for the Best Continental Breakfast. Love the Pool. Marty is the the most gracious & hilarious host. We appreciate you so much!

I looked at this venue for my wedding and I believe Matthew was who showed me and my fiancé around. He was fantastic and gave a lot of details. However, the whole time he showed us around the venue Martin LaMalfa stalled us and never even came to introduce himself. When he finally walked up to us he just stood there and then handed us his business card and walked away. It was the weirdest and rudest thing I ever seen. We went forward with inquiring about the venue because I loved it so much but then Matthew told us we would have to pay 60% of the money 6 months before the wedding. My father thought this was outrageous so we decided to move on. A few weeks later a lady rep reached out to me and I told her the situation. She stated to me the 60% was unusual and she would have to look into it. Unfortunately, she came back stating there was nothing she could do about it. I believe this experiment was racially motivated. I would never recommend this place to anyone. That’s just not how you treat a customer.

Mother’s Day brunch was very disappointing! My husband and I treated our children, spouses and grandchildren 14 in all. Needless to say, it was not a memorable experience. We arrived at 12:30 hoping to still have hot fresh food. Plate stack was empty, food trays were not kept up, most cold, undercooked sausage, sticky utensils, some food trays empty, no rolls left, deserts were a mess, and unappetizing. No water on tables, had to pay for soft drinks, and absolutely nobody walking around to be of service to you. Our dirty dishes piled in the middle of our table until finally an employee came by and proceeded to scrape all the dirty dishes into one plate. So wrong on all levels. I was still eating at that point and could not believe he was doing such a thing. I thought LaMalfa was a classy place, not by what I witnessed. Did I mention one of the servers at the carving station laughed and said she didn’t know what she was doing. WOW!

My husband and I recently stayed at Wingate by Wyndham at La Malfa and we had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, there was one guest ahead of us being checked in, we had no issues loading our luggage on the luggage cart and waiting no more than five minute to be checked in to our executive suite. The front desk personnel was very chipper and helpful as to letting us know the amenities that were available during COVID. We were pleased to find out that the pool was available, and even though they had two volleyball teams that had recently booked with the hotel we would hardly even know they were there. The front lobby was immaculate. Beautiful furniture, creative lighting, and we could vaguely see the attached banquet hall. The actual room was larger than expected. The entry gave way to a office area perfect for my daily work. The room had two separate televisions, kitchenette, couch, beautiful wall mounted mirrors, closet space, a large COMFORTABLE bed. Please read fluffy pillows galore. I am definitely one that likes to be able to put my belongings away. I found the room to have lots of dresser drawer spaces as well as the standard bedside nightstands. Ample lighting in the room, helped me with my office work later in the evening. And those volleyball teams, we never noticed them when my husband and I went for our dip at 10pm. The pool accommodated our schedule staying open late. The pool area in and of itself was very well kept. It had small water foutains drawing attention to the sides. water jets located in the stair area. Nice seating poolside. and even though there was snow on the ground outside, it was well over 80 in the swimming area. I highly recommend this hotel. It was well worth the money spent. Very clean, very well kept, and high spirited employees. I do see myself going back there in the future.

My now husband and I wanted to love this venue, but we didn’t. let’s start by saying Marty is the most unorganized and unprofessional owner we could have imagined. He sent us several copies of someone else’s wedding contract thinking it was us. This included their full names, guest count, wedding total, etc. Personal information no one else should have. He canceled several meeting with only hours notice. The day of the wedding, we were suppose to have two full bars. We showed up to only one bar and two bartenders which made everything very backed up. Not a single staff person informed us of this change, we had to point it out. We understand with the current pandemic everyone is understaffed. But our bill wasn’t changed and no one informed us of this error. Our “custom” seating chart was not to scale and several important family members that were suppose to be in the front next to our parents were now in the back of the room. We specifically asked them to not set out their “complimentary” guest book because we were providing our own and they set it out anyway. Simple things like our names being spelled correctly, having the correct contact information, even remembering what ballrooms we were suppose to have was always incorrect. The overall event was pretty. Our guests did notice any of these things and had a nice time. But the planning process with Marty and the LaMalfa staff was NOT worth it. I’d tell any family member, friend, or stranger on the side walk: DO NOT have an event here. Simply not worth the haste of dealing with this staff.

Stayed one night after a wedding. 1. This place basically exists to host out-of-towners for whatever event they are attending downstairs, so why did we have to wait for the maintenance guy to put two TV's in our room before we could get the keys? 2. While he was in the room programming the TV's, I pointed out that the AC unit was not pumping out cold air at all. Had to wait for them to swap out units, then he asked if I was comfortable with only one remote, because he had "other things to do" 3. We had no shower curtain or liner in the shower. 4. We were assaulted by ants in the morning after grabbing a few muffins from the breakfast bar. 5. After we quickly packed our bags and made our exit, we waited in the lobby for 20 minutes for anyone to address our issues, only to realize the front desk attendant had been in an office directly behind the desk asleep the entire time we had been waiting. We rang the bell and called the front desk directly before she finally appeared red eyed and groggy. 6. The attendant admitted to being asleep, so there was no question. She explained that she was not able to offer a refund without manager approval, and that the manager would be "down in an hour", leading me to believe that they were probably asleep somewhere else on the grounds. 7. We were offered a partial (50% plus taxes) refund on the spot, and were told to reach out to the owner's secretary for anything past that. This was the incoherent response from the owner: "In follow up to your thoughts . I am unable to honor your request . It is very unfortunate that you may have had some unwanted pests in room, I as well as any hotel in America cannot promise those pests to not arrived unannounced. The Wingate by Wyndham once again beyond policy offered you a partial refund even thou you did use the room the entire time this course of action is highly unusual. I did review the camera for the day and it does show our team member installing a shower curtain in your room and it also shows she was wide awake and attentive behind the desk. Bells on our desk our designed to bring attention to our associate when someone is at the desk while they are on the phone. I am sure you understand you cannot eat the steak and then say it is no good after the fact . The room was used and the service was provide" 8. If they have the employee on camera installing the shower curtain, where is this camera located?????

I attended a Wedding and Reception 6/22/19. From start to finish every detail was well taken care of. The food , appetizers too dinner were scrumptious and the Staff were fantastic ! I highly recommend Lamalfa !

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! my tesla battery was down to just 2 miles of range, i was driving around trying to find a charger. this place had 2 chargers in the back, but turned off. The staff was super nice and helpful, they turned on the chargers and allowed me to charge my car at no cost!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I OWE YOU!! ❤️????

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at LaMalfa. Everything went off without a hitch. They really pay attention to all the little details that go into a wedding day. Marty and his team took care of everything so we didn't have to worry about anything. Our guests could not stop talking about how great everything was: the space, the food the bar, the service. We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding here!

Our Alumni Football Club at Lake Catholic had our event last night (1/25/20). The staff at LaMalfa starting with Marty LaMalfa, Jake, Steven, the bartenders and servers were all so accommodating. We highly recommend LaMalfa for any event. The ambience is top rated, service outstanding, the food was excellent and the audio visual equipment was superb. Marty added additional hors d’oeuvres and stopped by our event to ensure all was well. There was another event going on next door and there was plenty of parking. We will definitely be back for our next event at LaMalfa. Good job!

We have been attending their New Year's Eve party for 7 years. Very disappointed this year. I could not cut through my beef and the pasta was too spicy. The wait at the bar was horrible. We waited in line for the 10 o'clock snacks all that was left was nuts. The band and the DJ only played 3 slow songs after dinner. Missed dancing to 2 of them because my husband was in the line for the bar. The DJ played too much modern music, such as rap. Couldn't get to the bar in time for champagne. This year it was not worth the money. I can say the deserts were good. For $160 we expect more than good deserts We will be looking for somewhere for next year.

I had my wedding ceremony here in June 2016. I live all the way in North Carolina. Even with me living so far, they were very helpful and informative. I did all of my planning via email and over the phone. (It helped that I had prom here, so I pretty much knew what it looked like!!). When it was time for our ceremony, they took the time out to meet me and shake my hand. I felt like they cared about ME and not just the money I was giving them to have my wedding there. They really try to make your day/event special. Thank you to all of you that helped me plan my special day from miles away!

Marty and his entire family are always friendly, courteous, efficient and very professional..They will always accommodate your requests without hesitation.. I have attended many events there from New Year's Eve to reverse raffles and weddings. My hubby Billy and I had our wedding reception there in July of 2000. Marty and his staff did an excellent job of fulfilling every one of our wants and needs that day! Our friends and family still talk about it today, sayibg it was the best reception they have ever been to! The selection of food is always amazing and delicious!

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at LaMalfa yesterday 2/1/2020. Everything was perfect. Robin and Stephan were honestly the two best planners to work with. I just adore them both. Thank you for everything. Food was delicious. Bartenders were awesome as was the rest of the staff. We stayed in the hotel and Gina , Mary and one other lady were awesome. All the hotel staff were very friendly with the exception of one guy. He was very rude and had really bad customer service. Other than the one man from the hotel everyone was just awesome and very friendly . I would definitely recommend LaMalfa. Thank you Marty & Staff.

Would not recommend! I attended a wedding ceremony and reception for a close friend over the weekend. The ceremony was rushed due to a change that was done by the owner to accommodate a friends event. The bride and groom were not notified of the change! The bridal party noticed when they got there. Guests from another party were coming into the reception and enjoying food and drinks that they were NOT invited to!! The staff at LaMalfa did not do anything! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR A WEDDING!!!

The owner is rude and does not handle complaints professionally. He made changes to a wedding I was in recently to accommodate his friends. Did not notify the bride or groom of the changes the bridal party happen to notice it while getting ready. When we Questioned the changes and the inconvenience to the wedding and the other event that was moved we were given the ridiculous excuse of “it was a corporate decision”. They also allowed other people from other events going on at the same time to enter our event freely and help themselves to food and beverages. They were not stopped by the employees. The bride and groom and their families had to ask to have the uninvited guests removed. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any event.

The food is amazing! We've gone for a few holidays now and it's worth it! They always think of extras for the kids to do while the parents are eating and talking. I do wish they would keep the face painting limited to children because each time my son has missed out because the line is too long with older kids/adult women wanting their own make up done.

Marty and the whole staff was great. Marty from the start to the finish went above and beyond all expectations to make sure my and my wife’s day went from a dream to reality. The ceremony was wonderful. And too too it all off the reception was unbelievable. The staff that worked on the floor to the bartenders made sure that our guest were happy and made sure they had everything they needed. Woukd highly recommend this venue and his hotel to anyone that wanted to have an event here. Thank you Marty lamalfa for everything

We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything was. The team seriously blew it out of the water and VERY MUCH exceeded our expectations. We want to personally recognize Katie, Gina, and LeAnn. These three went SO above and beyond what we could have asked for, and without these three, things would not have gone as smooth. I can say so many things about each of them and how amazing they are. We can't thank the team enough for everything and for making our day everything we could have dreamed of. Everything flowed smoothly, our guests had an amazing time, the venue was beautiful, the staff was friendly, etc. I could say so many good things. Our wedding will definitely be one to remember forever, not just for us, but for our guests as well!

DO NOT STAY!!! ANTS INFESTATION!! Customer Service is not a requirement for staff. They are simply there to check in. Booked an overnight stay for a wedding where I was a bridesmaid. Checked in at 3 just to drop my bags and get dressed with the bride in the dressing room. So between 3 and 9 I wasn't in the room. The next morning my boyfriend went to get muffins and sat them on the night stand. I gave my 18 month old a few bites and sat it back on the plate as we started our day. Within 15 minutes they were covered with ants. A swarm. This wasnt a couple ants that got in...an infestation!! They obviously have a problem they haven't dealt with. We also did not have a shower curtain which we didn't notice because we were at the wedding. Get to the front desk as fast as we could get out of there to meet no one at the front desk. Another wedding attendee was already waiting 20 minutes. I rung the bell no answer. Another guest rang the bell, no answer. I called, nothing. 10 minutes later a lady comes out the door rubbing her eyes, and the lady who always already waiting before me asked if she was sleeping and she said "yes, I'm sorry" she couldn't do anything but have me send the photos to a phone number and said she'd take care of it. Manager was only able to do a partial refund. Days later I finally hear from the owner who is who I needed to reach, told me I was lying about the shower curtain and the sleeping front desk agent. Told me I "You can't eat the steak and say it's no good" and that my services were provided. No apologies, none of the staff were even horrified by the photos. Which let's me know they were aware. Will never stay again and would never recommend

We've been to the party cntr 3 times. This last time, Mothers day, was disappointing. The roast beef, turkey, and mashed potatoes were all very dry. I will say the sausage and peppers was delicious. They had a lot of side dishes, mostly salad types. I call it fillers to make up for not having enough main dishes. I also think that at $40-$45 a person you should not have to pay extra for pop. Liquor and wine yes, but not soft drinks. The center itself especially the washrooms were clean and absolutely beautiful.

2020 Easter Brunch was cancelled and attendees are not getting refunds. I was offered another event that I am not available or interested in attending but denied over 500.00 refund. If the Mother's Day Brunch is cancelled you will also be out of money. Be aware.

I myself have enjoyed 2 Commodore's Ball Events in my Honor. It is true that you get what you pay for, But At LaMalfa, You Get More. From the Ice Carving to the Admirals Appetizers to the Flaming Coffee Bar to the Sparking Deserts. Mr. Martin LaMalfa personally executed every detail to perfection. Special Thanks to the Lovely Event Planner and her staff. The All Suite Hotel topped off the weekend. Whether it is a Wedding, Corporate, Fundraiser or Special Event, nothing compares to the Elegance, Quality, and Value of LaMalfa Centre. Thank You.

We recently had our wedding at LaMalfa this past Saturday, July 21st. Everything went smoothly from the planning up to the ceremony and reception. Marty was very helpful and insightful with the planning and on the day of the wedding. The staff took care of everything for us so we didn't have to worry. The venue looked amazing and so was the food. Well my steak was a little overcooked for my taste but that's because I like mine blue/rare. But overall LaMalfa is a great venue with great food and service. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to hold a wedding or another big occasion.

It's been almost 3 weeks since the wedding and we are still getting calls and txt messages telling us what a wonderful time they had! Came for the Thanksgiving Buffett at 1:30pm, the food was not good. Turkey was basically scraps, unbelievably dry and no turkey gravy. Ran out of mashed potatoes and never restocked, mac and cheese had a layer of oil sitting on top, yuck! Nobody working the carving station. Sushi plate that looked like someone dropped it and put it back on the table, again, never restocked. Coffee pots empty. Over all a horrible meal and a VERY disappointing Thanksgiving meal.
