It was a very relaxing stay. Loved the fact that the lakehouse had it's own beach. The sunsets were beautiful with the sun setting over the lake! Night sky was full of stars, unlike cities where you can't clearly see them. Amazing experience! I highly recommend vising this lakehouse.

We recently had our small, intimate covid wedding at Essex Lakehouse. It was absolutely perfect, and a dream. The home was very luxurious and the property itself is beautifully maintained, perfect for all our wedding photos! You truly cannot beat those beautiful Lake Erie views. Jinnie was very helpful and responsive from day one, when we were booking the venue, to the end of our stay. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them and would 100% recommend this venue to any future bride and groom! Also recommend you stay at the lakehouse, the house is beautifully renovated, beds are super comfortable, and they’ve got a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools you may need! We definitely look forward to coming back someday with all our family and friends!

The venue was booked for a wedding. When we went for the walk through the venue was amazing and large and it would be a perfect location for a wedding. We were told we had to book for two nights and were not told why. The contract was not written properly for an event venue or an Airbnb. There was a lot of errors that the owners had to correct or address because they didn't make sense. Pros: - Venue beautiful - Large yard for outdoor weddings - Sleeps 24 guest - Provides tables, chairs, heaters - Full kitchen + warming oven in garage Cons: - Contract wasn't clear and when we asked about the corrections they were never made - Owners asked for a deposit before we had even seen the venue. Then the owner sated we would need to give a deposit to save the date without seeing it and in a week when we would have a walk through we would need to give the full amount to book it. - The time we were given access to the venue was 3pm the day of the wedding, which is very late and more like an Airbnb check-in time not an event venue time. We had to plead with the owners to allow us earlier access to the venue in order to set up and decorate for the event and they would still only let us in at 12pm. When normal event venues allow you access first thing in the morning or the night before if there are no other events the night before. - No cleaning products were left in house even though we were made to rent for two nights, the second one being after a wedding. - No extra garbage bags to be able to clean up properly - Owner provided rules/instruction for the house at 1am the day of the event. Guest had no time to prepare to the rules for garbage removal. - Multiple items in house didn't work properly, such as blinds were broken, doors didn't closer properly. - They have washer and dryer onsite but do not provide laundry soap. - Some of the toilets didn't flush. - We were asked to give a deposit and it would be returned with in 2 days of our last day. It was more than a week for it to be returned to us and that was after asking multiple times. The owners then said they would provide and additional $50 for the delay. When they finally sent the deposit they didn't add the $50. This is not to deture anyone from booking, this venue is great but im just explaining hiw our experince was.This venue is beautiful and very large and new. But it is unfortunate the owners do not have everything together to have things run smoothly. I would strongly suggest to read over the contract and hire a wedding planner or be extremely organized to have an event here because you have to do everything yourself. The owners do not help. They simply provide you with codes for everything.

Maddie and Bill are the best host at a B&B that we have ever experienced. They are extremely welcoming and super friendly. The house is amazing and very clean. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask. They will ensure that your stay is exceptional. The location is spectacular. You are right by the water and close to the wineries. The breakfast is beyond words. If you are looking for a home away from home, I highly recommend La Roos Maison Bed and Breakfast.

It’s a refreshing deviation from the mundane resort type and offers a tranquil escape from life’s daily stresses via the irreplaceable serenity of the lake. Each room has its own balcony, giving you the most breathtaking view. The lakehouse is backed up to Lake Erie, giving you access to a private beach and surreal views of sunrise and sunsets. With so much to do not only at the lakehouse but also the nearby attractions such as wineries, restaurants, local towns and shops. We cannot wait to come back here again!!

The perfect weekend getaway close to home. A beautiful , peaceful reprieve tucked away opening to a picturesque view of the lake but minutes away from wineries and restaurants. Madison and Bill have an incredible home and property that they open and welcome you to graciously. Oliver couldn't be a better host. He's so friendly and social. And our breakfast was just deeelish! We really enjoyed our stay at your cottage. Everyone loved your house, especially huge outdoor area. Really good interior decoration. Rooms are spacious and love that most of the rooms have their own balcony. Lots of sitting area outside to relax with a gorgeous views of Lake Errie. We captured some unforgettable moments and overwhelmed with the atmosphere of the house. We would love to come back again. We have never seen a perfect location like this before and the house owners are really helpful in providing required information for our stay.
