I've been playing golf here for over 10 years. I recently got married here because of my love for the course and the fact that my bride and I shared an anniversary here! The food is wonderful, the hall is beautiful, however it is pretty painful in dealing with Larissa.. Larissa showed absolutely no ability to compromise to ensure we got what we wanted on our day.. She talked down to my mother in law and the bride when picking menu options, even goingt as far as saying that they wouldn't make the chosen meals that my bride and I wanted. She showed no care in handling the cake.. The mix drinks were very short as you didnt taste any liquor.. We had ordered a gluten free meal, which we didn't receive.. When it was time to go onto the course for photos, they weren't ready with the carts which made our schedule fall behind, and even when they got the carts out, we wasted time going over "cart rules..". All in all we had a beautiful day for our wedding, however her actions, poor communication and general unwillingness to work with us soured our day!

Very disorganized, and disappointed with the starting of our rounds. 3 tee times starting at 9:00. Arrived at 8:25 only to find all doors locked. 12 guys wanting to get ready for 27 holes. There were probably 24 players wanting to do the same before the Doors open at 8:45 to pay for our rounds. We were not able to practice putting or swing a club by the time you pay and get your cart. First group finally started at 9:25 and felt rushed because of our afternoon tee time was at 1:30. After finishing the first 9 on the Buck we were met with a group wanting to tee off on the Fawn where we were scheduled after they came off the Doe. They agreed to go to the Buck instead. Very, very disappointed with the organization. The Starter would sit in his cart by the front door and not be down by the starting holes directing players to there next 9 holes as they should. They don't realize the money the or losing because no one has time to even get a drink and sandwich before teeing off. I wish a could buy this place and show them how a golf course should be run. This place has so much to offer but I guess they don't care or realize it's potential to be the place everyone would want to play. I would have given it more stars because the course is in great shape. Shame on the owners. As for the owner response. I did NOT shake all the doors. I simply asked at the staff door if I can have scorecards to fill them out for the tournament prizes ahead of time. Trying to save time so we can start as soon as possible. We had no issue with food and drinks at the turn. There was no time prior to starting the round. I understand that Covid as changed the way business do things. When you have 3 tee times and trying to get organized with only minutes to do it is very difficult. I can't answer why the group came to the Fawn to tee off for the next 9. They said it was on there receipts. I believe that the staff should pass along your Covid rules when making more that 1 tee time. I find that the rules are different from course to course and not what the group had expected. If there's a next time I hope everything goes smoother. John, I believe. Thanks for your quick reply

I’m not a golfer but I love going here for lunch. They have the most amazing food! If you’re looking for great food at a Blenheim, Ontario Golf Course, this is the right place. I love the clubhouse, the quesadilla and my mom always gets a big salad.

I had my wedding here on June 9, it was the most seamless day of my life. The venue is beautiful and the owner, Larissa is amazing to work with! Tee time 1220 pm Monday was busy there . No carts all was being used plus 6 groups ahead us waiting for carts as well . Obvious they over booked . Teed off 1259 walking still no carts . It was totally disorganized .

Course in great shape but the prices have doubled. 32 bucks for 3 beers a sandwich and dog. Just wanted a snack not buy the place. Parking lot not full like it used to be and I expect this is the reason.

Played here for yrs. Got gifted 4 rounds and did not know they expired. They wouldn't extend so I could use them. Played here for yrs. Lost my business for life. Also bunker sand is terrible full of stones. Holes aren't cut regularly so they're all chewed up around the cup. Go play blenheim golf coarse way nicer friendlier staff and 10 x better quality coarse.

Deer Run Golf Course is your typical middle of the road track. It appeals to league play and has garnered quite a lot of business servicing the needs of players who wish to play once a week. The course itself has potential, and it either suits your golfing needs or is just ok.

Food at Deer Run NEVER disappoints. Brunch at Deer Run NEVER disappoints. Easter. Mother's Day .. food is not only delicious, hot and so many options, but beautifully laid out and displayed. Prime rib was perfection. The banquet and dining rooms are gorgeous, the view is spectacular. Lots of room to get up from tables, nice big tables for groups and smaller tables too, discrete but busy staff keep things moving, tables clean and food stocked. Reservations are well timed giving you plenty time to enjoy and visit, but you don't wait to be seated. Elegance meets great food and a spectacular atmosphere! Normally I golf, and the ladies league and kitchen creations are so amazing. Every week something new, fun and always delicious.

After driving an hour from Windsor to play the course with 2 foursome they would not accommodate a club cart for my buddy who has walking disability from our group . They said because of Covid you need to book your cart in advance and we cant have only one person in the foursome riding a cart and 3 walker. Just want to add to this that it was not an issue a the end of August when we were there with the same group. When we called to make a complain they said is not true and hung up on you. The course is in a good shape but because of this bad experience not sure we will return to play it !

We had our wedding at Deer Run this past June and it was a BIG hit with our 175 guests. We actually had a friend from the UK make an impromptu speech about how amazing the food was, “that was the best steak I’ve ever had”. We’ve continually heard how great the food was from our guests and how organized the kitchen staff was with getting everyone their food from the BBQ and to their liking. The chefs (Larissa and Jackie) also went to great lengths to accommodate our growing number of vegan friends who were so appreciative of the effort that went into making sure they were taken care of at every course including the late-night food bar. My husband and I planned this wedding from overseas and Larissa was a breeze to work with. I have to admit I was a laidback bride so once I had made the major decisions I had her take the lead on many of the food pairings and am so glad I did. The kitchen and bar staff were a delight and we very accommodating on the day, going out of their way to make sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying the night. Don’t plan on getting married again but I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone! ;)

I've been playing Deer Run for the past 10 years, actually moved to within five miles due in large part to the course's existence. Over the years, I've been a member at several local courses, including Ridgetown, Blenheim and Countryview. All of those courses have their 9's squeezed onto 50 acres, whereas all 3 of Deer Run's 9's are on 100 acres, the difference is astounding. The greens are huge, fairways well maintained, and there are many tee block locations on every hole available for all skill levels. Deer Run is a good test of golf, where you're rewarded for good shots and penalized for poor ones. The clubhouse is one of the nicest I've experienced, and the staff is well trained and always friendly. The food is excellent., and the diverse menu and daily specials are sure to please even the fussiest palate. If you're planning an outing, large or small, I would highly suggest Deer Run. In my opinion, Deer Run is the best bang for the buck in Chatham-Kent.

The course and club house facilities are top notch However spending a hundred dollars plus and having to push a golf cart up and down hills for three holes before someone brings you a golf cart without any care or a free beer is just plain bad three girls running a property like that pro shop kitchen and bar is rediculouse I guess focus on a wedding rehersal shortchanges real everyday money here ..No beer cart service and 11_17$ burgers 6 dollar beer and ur treated ignorant asking for a glass of ice ..very disappointed golf carts were plentifully abandoned over the course .. u should focus on quality of staff at ur price point..not young girls that act ignorant to customer service and smile for$ I've played here before its beautiful but this had left a bad taste in my mouth other guests couldn't believe how long we waited to get a new golf cart stranded in the sun and here's you're cart 3 groups later playing through ..one would think u would have brought a complimentary beverage out with ya. We won't be back any time soon

This place is very clean and very pretty!! The staff was very professional. The vegan food was delicious !!! (Cauliflower steak) it had a nice setup with washrooms closely but out of the way, the dance floor was by the windows and looked new and sleek/modern. Good lighting. I have no complaints!

Plenty of parking on the property that is paved and overflow that is gravel. Fantastic golf course. Best conditions I have seen on any course this season. Tee blocks in excellent shape with great flat spots to feel comfortable while teeing off. The putting greens are also fantastic condition. There are 27 holes on the course and the different 9 hole course a are labelled well at different junction points so you don't get lost. The club house is in great shape with a full kitchen and food service. Plenty of room on their patio outside and tonnes of indoor space for tables and distanced seating. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all questions and during covid times I felt very comfortable and safe with all measures in place.

Stayed a night at Point Pelee and then chose the "all you can play" twilight rate on a Friday with a cart here. Nice staff in the clubhouse. Great price for a great course and not too busy too. It's no exaggeration that the greens are enormous and in good shape. Water, sand, mature trees and layout make for fun challenges. Though there are no real elevation changes for those that like that since there are no valleys around. One small sugggestion would be real towels at the ball washers to match the caliber of everything else here. The Doe seemed prettiest of the three 9's (the sun was lower by then too) and the long par 5 hole 9 capped our visit to Deer Run. Highly recommend that golfers give Deer Run a shot. I really enjoyed golfing here.

Played this course for the first time yesterday and I have to say how pleased I was. This is one of the nicer courses I have played in a long time. Course conditions were excellent, nice layout, huge greens, lots of nice scenery and a great low price. Just about everything you want in a golf course., including 27 holes to play. Staff were very friendly, food was good and a beautiful clubhouse with a patio overlooking a pond and 2 greens. I have nothing negative to say about Deer Run. We came from London to play it and I can't wait to come back and play it again.

Scenic and in decent shape. Some of the greens are huge and a little too tough in my opinion... depending on the pin placements. Overall I always enjoy playing this course. Staff has been friendly and welcoming which for my money is very important... I hope that continues. Large menu and I've been pleased with the food I've purchased. I plan on returning.

Played this coarse yesterday. Beautiful at this time of year. My wife and I dress neatly while we enjoy our chosen pastime however ..... they have the dirtiest carts you have ever seen .this coarse is as good as any in this area ...grass..fairways...greens ...almost perfect..carts trails horrible. NEW CARTS WITH G.P.S. NEXT YEAR could justify a modest raise in rates and encourage many golfers back on a regular basis and maybe train staff to clean them after ever use. Sorry for this review but you have earned it.

A great 27-hole public course. Each 9 offers a slightly different challenge, and water comes into play on most holes. And you can't beat the price. Great food in the clubhouse too. You can relax after your round by sitting on the patio with an excellent view of two of the finishing holes.

I dont normally put reviews and we took a chance to hope we could get on as a walk in. Asked if we could go golfing with 2 tee blocks wide open. She says not a chance, never seen this before at any golf course, they normally try and get you out. 2 of us would have taken 2 hours or less for nine holes. Its 11:00am the next tournament starts at 1:00 pm which gives us lots of time to be off by then, let alone it's a 27 hole course. Very unprofessional and very disappointed.
