As the mother of the bride I was very impressed with Jess. I have included a photograph of my daughter when her wedding dress strapped broke. I was not prepared with the needle and thread, My daughter asked me to go get Jess I did and Jess was prepared with needle and thread, safety pins, and whatever else was needed. She and her team made the day better.

Lindsey from Bonafide was my day of wedding coordinator. To say my wedding couldn’t have run as seamlessly and as smoothly without her would be an understatement. If there was anything that went wrong that day, I would have no idea, bcs Lindsey made sure to take care of everything, all while doing it with a smile on her face. Her energy and her attitude are amazing, and she is such a light. Brides, you need a Lindsey in your life!! She made sure I had a truly stress free day. Leading up to the wedding day she was also incredible in corresponding with vendors, coordinating and always having my back. I’ve had numerous people since my wedding day mention how incredible Lindsey was. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without her!

Could not be happier with the help that we received. If I plan any other large event in general I will be hiring these ladies again. They are truly beyond professional and always ready to help. They know exactly what needs to be done and more. I’ve seen so many people have their family or friends do the wedding planner duties, or don’t do the research when hiring a wedding planner, and I’ve watched these days go very wrong. Hiring these ladies is an absolute must!!! Especially if you want the day to run smoothly! My dress strap ripped off at my wedding and I wasn’t calling for my mom or maid of honour , I was immediately telling everyone to find me Jessica or Lindsay ! Because I knew they would have a sewing kit ANNND They did and they fixed my dress. I was also feeling sick and they had Tums for me. I also was starting to fade from the long day and they had an energy drink for me.

We hired Jessica from Bonafide Events to help us coordinate and manage all of the tasks that coincide with having a non-traditional wedding during Covid times. Throughout the 2+ year process, we completely changed our wedding plans several times, including the location, the guest list, the ceremony, and much more. It was a stressful wedding to pull off, but Bonafide Events did it with apparent ease and grace. Jessica was organized, efficient, understanding, and professional yet friendly (we now consider her a friend). Despite her being a new mother, dealing with constantly changing Covid restrictions, and us often being unable to make decisions, she never seemed stressed, and always kept her organizational role at the forefront. She even referred us to what turned out to be our wedding venue and it was beyond perfect. Without question, we had the wedding of our dreams - and we NEVER would have been able to pull it off without Jessica/Bonafide Events and their incredible staff. Jess at Bonaire Events was absolutely stellar! When we had to pivot from a fully organized wedding reception at a typical venue that came as is to a backyard celebration that required renting everything, from a portable fridge and porta-potties, to food trucks, to new hair and makeup stylists, Jess was taking the lead. The day of the wedding, we had no clue what was happening behind the scenes as Jess was taking care of it all as we could just enjoy our family and friends. If I could do it all over again, I would hire Jess every time and will wholeheartedly be recommending her to my friends and family.

I honestly don’t even know how to express in words how amazing Jess is - our day would not have been possible without her. With the style of venue for our wedding, we had to outsource all of our vendors. I also had many DIY dreams for our decor… requiring a lot of organization. Jess made sure we were set up for success with her fantastic planning tools, check ins and calm approach (I can be quite the tornado, so this was essential). She also has a great sense of humour and we managed to maintain smiles (and have many laughs) throughout the whole planning process. Now for the day of the wedding! With all the DIY decor, Jess really did work magic behind the scenes to make sure everything was set up how I envisioned. We had rain up until an hour before our outdoor wedding… yes…insert minor panic attack. But I had no real reason to stress as when I saw the ceremony space for the first time, it was absolutely perfect because Jess and her team ensured nothing less. Including our ‘circle’ format for the ceremony which she promised would make happen!! It was really amazing to have someone be your right hand for the day so all we had to do was enjoy our time with our family and friends. Hiring Jess will always be one of the best decisions we made. A true miracle worker and an artist at what she does…I could literally go on and on. I cannot say enough good things about everything Jess did to make our day truly magical.

ATTENTION: Please share this post. Our family does not want this to happen to any other unsuspecting couple/family who may be looking to hire BONAFIDE EVENTS as their potential wedding planner. Below is a post my mom wrote about her recent experience with them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I contracted Bonafide Events services in April 2020 for the month before wedding package. I have health issues and told the owner, Jessica, this right away so she understood the importance of her role at the wedding which is being held on our farm. 29 days before my daughters wedding she cancelled her services via email claiming she decided not to go forward because I couldn’t guarantee guests, including the bride and groom, were vaccinated. I told her I was following all Covid protocols and she asked if the bride and groom in particular would wear masks throughout the entire event. I said I doubt they will wear a mask every moment. She had over a year to tell me any of her concerns and said nothing. I said she is naive to think all guests and wedding party would be vaccinated at the weddings she was servicing and informed her under the Privacy Act it is illegal for her to even ask. To make matters worse she refused to give a full refund and has not issued even a partial refund at all. This has left us with having to seek legal prosecution to get our money refunded. I was left without a key player in my daughters wedding. The amount of stress and emotional upset this caused to our entire family cannot be under estimated. Earlier in the week she told me she had a very busy month with weddings every Saturday and Sunday including a weekend with three days of weddings back to back. I wonder if the truth is she overbooked herself and decided she didn’t want to work that hard after all so cancelled our contract. Please DO NOT use Bonafide as you can not trust they will follow through on their contractual obligation. If they did it to us, they will do it to you. Whose to say I’m not the first customer she did this to.
