Erin took photos of our newborn back in 2009 and since has taken family photos and business photos a dozen times since. Her photography is like artwork. I see photos of weddings and strangers and they are so pretty i would hang them on my wall! She captures light like no one else. One thing that I have noticed really sets her apart from any other photographer I have watched at events, weddings etc. is her way of capturing everyones attention when needed and blended when also necessary. She has a way with people, you trust her and that is why she can capture faces looking real, not posed. and one last thing i appreciate that during a session she will say things like, move that leg or lift your chin up! and save me from triple chins!

In case just looking at her photos isn’t enough… Choosing Erin was one of the easiest decisions of our wedding planning. She may have been chosen even before we were engaged. I followed Erin’s photos online with admiration and awe. Excitedly showing my family breathtaking images and longing for the time that we could be the subjects. Her blog made me love her even more. She spoke of her clients with language as beautiful as her photos. With precise clarity, her words captured the splendour in each couples story. You could tell she loves love and although she has been to hundreds of weddings, each one is special. When planning out November engagement shoot, Erin was patient and understanding when we had to reschedule due to a family loss, and waiting for a day that wasn’t storming. She made it very easy to feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. She is relaxed, and somehow at the same time full of passion and excitement. She puts herself in precarious positions to get the envisioned shot, and we even stopped on our way back to the car for ‘a couple more’ because she didn’t want to waste the ideal light. Driving home that night, my husband told me she was worth every penny. This was before he saw any pictures from that day. Just her presence, and the experience of working with her, he was confident in our decision. Erin was a calm and welcome presence at our wedding. Our entire wedding party really enjoyed having her around, which is important when you may spend all day with someone. Even before we had left the reception, she sent a couple of teaser shots. Somehow, through her lens, she was able to make the day even more beautiful than my eyes saw it. That is her genius. After the birth of our daughter, Erin came to our home to do a newborn photoshoot. With a 10 day old baby, you don’t want to invite just anyone over. But as always, Erin made everything easy, comfortable, and beautiful. It wouldn’t be too strong of a word to say that I am obsessed with the images she has captured. Even more-so now that time has passed, I am forever grateful for the moments she has saved. One of my favourite things about her is that she is truly appreciative and humble that people choose her. She is beyond talented, and a true gem.

Having Erin shoot our wedding was a absolute MUST for me. I was so thrilled when she was able to travel to Whistler to for our winter wedding. She is extremely professional and passionate about what she does but she is also an amazing person. She is so easy going and hilariously funny it felt like she was a guest herself! This gal went above and beyond to make sure we would get stunning snow photos with the mountains in the background. She found a beautiful picturesque backdrop by trekking through the snow and knocking on someone’s door asking if we could shoot in their backyard! Erin is incredible! My man and I did a couples shoot with Erin a couple months ago, and she made us feel so comfortable, and guided us the whole way through. She is very time efficient, we only did a mini 30 minute shoot and she sent over 60 beautiful photos. Sent us some sneak peaks within 2 hours of leaving the photoshoot! We’re not sure we can properly articulate in words how amazing Erin is, but we’ll try. Long before we were engaged, we knew we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. Being in the wedding industry ourselves, we knew our biggest priority for our wedding day would be the memories. Can’t really think of a better experience we could have had for our wedding photographer. Erin has the perfect combination of being a great person and professional to make our wedding day feel special, but also our own. A Tofino wedding is an intimate experience and Erin felt more like a guest than our photographer. She was never intrusive and a pleasure completely to have at the wedding.
