I did a lot of research before choosing Will Pursell and without a doubt - Best choice ever! Most wedding photographers take nice photos, but for the most important day of your life, why settle for nice when you could have spectacular! Lots of the other photographers mentioned that they go for ‘natural looks’ and rely on the ‘natural lighting to capture the moment’. Well, it’s Vancouver- the weather here isn’t always ideal, and I wanted someone who would be prepared. I can’t tell you how happy I was that Will is passionate about lighting; had huge flashes with him, and even had spray cans with mist to make the effect of sun rays. My husband only likes the way he looks in candid photos, and I only look good when posed- Will was able to capture a perfect blend of the two. Many of the guests at the wedding commented that Will and Lauren were the friendliest wedding photographers they had ever seen. I was a giant stress ball before the ceremony, so I was so grateful that they were so down to earth and easy going. The photos and the experience were everything I had hoped for. If you want photos that are nothing less than epic on the most important day of your life, I strongly recommend choosing Will Pursell.

We are ecstatic with the quality of images we received from Will and Lauren! We had them do our engagement shoot and our wedding. I have to admit, this won't be your cheapest option... but they really are worth every penny. Will may be the most creative person I have ever met. From the locations he scouted, to the poses and lighting he uses... it's breathtaking the images he can create from the simplest of things. Every picture he took really is a work of art. And Lauren is wonderful at capturing the most candid and intimate moments. Some of our favourite shots are ones she took of us joking and laughing in between posing. The craziest part... We received all 600+ of our edited pictures within 3 weeks of our wedding (they also sent us multiple previews throughout the weeks prior)! We are so happy with the results. We had a difficult dark venue for our reception, but everything turned out great. They were a great balance of professional and chill through the whole process. Will and Lauren were wonderful! The photos were without exception spectacular, even with the weather (it was raining) and the dim lighting. What drew us initially to Will and Lauren was their style. They have an eye for finding amazingly artistic shots and capturing the special moments, evident in their portfolio and in the pictures they took of our wedding. But what's not obvious through their website is their professionalism. They're both very flexible and quick on their feet. For example, on the day of the wedding, they quickly found us another portrait location after both our primary and backup locations became unavailable. We also noticed and appreciated how they identified all the important guests without our introductions. Lastly, we received our photos much faster than expected! Not sure if it was because we were early in the wedding season, but the preview photos came within a couple weeks, and the full set within a month. If you're looking for magazine-quality photos that will look stunning regardless of weather and wedding hiccups, Will and Lauren are your photographers.

My husband and I chose Will and Lauren to photograph both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding. The photos turned out absolutely stunning! It rained cats and dogs during our engagement shoot, but with Will's skill and knowledge in the use of lighting and equipment, the photos turned out even better than what I had imagined for a sunny day! For our wedding, Will and Lauren captured so many great moments: both candid and dramatic shots. We viewed the photos with our wedding music while savouring some wine as per their suggestion, and I started crying tears of joy! The photos are that good!!! Fantastic! I was initially drawn to Pursell Photography because of their artistic style. From the moment I found Will and Lauren I knew they were the right fit for us. It's a common story where the bride and groom are nervous and stressed on their wedding day about the logistics and the itinerary that they don't actually get to enjoy the day. When me and my wife got married about a month ago, we were able to actually enjoy the day with comfort because we had 100% trust in Will and Lauren capturing all the beautiful moments that occurred throughout the day that we honestly didn't even think about the photographers much. The beautiful photos aside, this was what I was thankful for the most: that we could actually enjoy our wedding day without worrying. To be frank, our expectations for the quality of the pictures were high, but when Will sent me some of the previews after the wedding, they exceeded our expectations BY FAR. There were shots that I didn't even know were being taken that turned out absolutely stunning. The quality of the photos they take speak for themselves (check out their gallery) but where they really shine is the whole experience. They're ready for any weather (they even have tips on rainy wedding days), they are very thorough with wanting to understand what type of photos we want, they are good at following up, they are professional, they showed up on time, they made us feel relaxed during the whole day. Throughout the whole time of working with them, we never worried once. If any bride/groom-to-be's out there are looking for photographers to capture all the moments from their wedding day, I can't think of any reasons to go with anybody else. 100% recommended. They'll make sure you enjoy your special day and they'll make sure they blow your minds with amazing photos.

Amazing! Different! Vibrant! Those are just three words to describe this fabulous husband and wife duo. Going back a few years… I started to browse casually online at wedding photos and fell instantly in love with Will and Lauren’s style. I showed their portfolio to my now husband and we both knew they would be perfect for our wedding, whenever that would be. When the time came, we immediately made contact and booked them. They made us feel so at ease. We didn’t know what to expect when we met up for our engagement session but they guided us, joked around with us, and just let us be us. The final product was just gorgeous and I still look back at those photos in awe. 2020 happened and we had to postpone the wedding. They were so accommodating and were so empathetic to the situation; they let us choose another date with no issues. Communicating with them throughout the entire process was seamless. Lauren is so organized, and very prompt and precise in her responses, from the date we first made contact up until the day we received our final gallery. Fast forward to the wedding day. With the pandemic still looming over us, they assured us that they were vaccinated and safe, and maintained such professionalism. We booked them for twelve hours (long day!) and they captured the day wonderfully. Our families are absolutely thrilled with the photos, saying how happy everyone looked. I initially fell in love with their dramatic photos but the candid shots they captured surprised me. They caught some very intimate moments, especially during the first look, and even captured a few tears and shy smiles! Watching the way Will and Lauren work is like watching art. They work perfectly together, always communicating and supporting one another, each with their own cameras, capturing the moments in different perspectives. They have a way of scoping out beautiful sites and manipulating light so that the perfect shot could be achieved. I DO have to say that I wish we got more photos, but I’m really just being greedy here. Can you really blame me though? All of their photos look amazing and you just want them ALL! Will and Lauren, thank you SO much for helping us capture our special day, and we hope you had a blast celebrating with us. I’m also sorry that you can’t get rid of us that easily… because it looks like my sister and her fiancé loved you guys so much, that they booked you for their wedding too ;)

I found Will and Lauren randomly on google one day as I was on the hunt for a wedding photographer. I looked at many different websites for a photographer but when I stumbled on Will and Lauren’s website and looked at the portfolio, his pictures took my breath away. They were so different from any other pictures I have ever seen. The details of the picture, the quality, the lighting, everything looked amazing. And couples that are afraid of rain on their wedding day, fear not, because Will’s rain pictures look gorgeous! I told my husband, we have to book this guy! My husband and I aren’t comfortable in front of a camera. My worse fear were the poses. I wondered, how do we do the poses? Will and Lauren made us feel very comfortable that I forgot all about feeling nervous, and I forgot that I was feeling cold in my dress! Will has a lot of knowledge about taking pictures. He worked different angles, and used the natural lighting from the sun to his advantage in a way to make a picture look unique and different. At one point, Lauren threw beautiful fall leaves in the air as Will captured a picture of my husband and I. I was happy that Will and Lauren sent us previews of the pictures while we waited to get our full gallery. Moreover, we got our pictures way sooner then the timeline was given. All of the pictures turned out beautifully and were breath taking. The lighting, editing etc; they were perfect. The best part is we got all the pictures in black and white AND colour. There was not one bad picture. Our friends and family absolutely loved them! My hunt for an amazing photographer has ended because I’ve found them!
