I was really disappointed at the lack of professionalism from Pamela and her team at Mohani Event Design. When we had first hired her, the communication was great. Then we signed the contract, and from then on it would take MONTHS and multiple emails/phone calls for us to get a reply from Pamela. We hired her about a year and a half before the wedding date. Any time I would try to reach out to Pamela, I would get an automated email reply, with no follow up from her team. Not even a courtesy email saying they had seen my email and would get back to me. I felt pretty ghosted throughout our interactions. I would finally get a response saying she would look into whatever request I made, but then I would never get a follow up response, despite my emails following up. I had finally reached her over the phone about a month or so before my wedding, she seemed apologetic, told me to give her a week to set up a “mock up table” like she had promised when we initially hired her, and then after that I hadn’t heard from her or her team. I finally reached her over the phone again a few weeks later, and she was dismissive during the phone call. Then we couldn’t get a hold of her, and almost opted to just find a new decorator altogether. I finally handed off communications with her to my coordinator, and from my understanding she did not reply until about two weeks away from my wedding. We had discussed a floor wrap and marble backdrop when we had initially booked her as well, and she didn’t get back to us about that until a few days before the wedding. There were also issues with the supply of decorations. My coordinator had to find another decorator to supplement the decor, that Pamela had told me they would be able to supply themselves. Then on the wedding day, my coordinator noticed that there were about $1000 worth of items we had ordered that Pamela and her team had not brought. On top of that, her team was placing broken and cracked vases on guest tables, which my coordinator quickly stopped. At least we were refunded for these missing items. Pamela did not apologize to us directly, but did send an apology through our coordinator. I am not sure if the stress of the pandemic caused all this mishap on their end, because they were highly regarded on some wedding websites. Unfortunately our experience with Pamela and her team at Mohani were not to our satisfaction, and we would refrain from recommending their services to anyone else.

Pamela from Mohani Events was absolutely AMAZING to work with!! We celebrated our son's first birthday at Hycroft Manor and hired Mohani Events to do the decor. Her staff was on time and exceptional, Pamela came to make sure all of the items were exactly how I wanted them set. All of thier items are stunning it was so hard to choose from but with Pamela's help our event turned out exactly how we invisioned it!! Definetly recommend Mohani Event Design for any of your future events!! :) Thanks again guys!!!

We first met Pam in 2018 for our wedding – she pulled together an absolutely incredible reception in record time of 3 weeks! A timeline like this for a reception party experience that felt like a year’s worth of wedding planning is unheard of. Pam was a breath of fresh air taking care of and elevating every detail of our unique vision, all with a smile on her face. The venue was transformed beautifully — both hosts and guests had the best time. Since then we’ve engaged Pam for 3-4 more family occasions from large scale full production events to more intimate Covid-friendly celebrations and she has left us amazed each time. The execution and final result are always raising the bar, highly Instagrammable and so memorable for everyone. Mohani Event Design will continue to be our choice for all Gill family events! We can’t wait to experience the magic unfold at the next event.

On the day of our wedding the chairs supplied by Mohani Events showed up 3 hours late, broken and dirty. Upon determining the uselessness of said chairs they were quickly dispatched for the backup chairs supplied by the venue. Post Wedding, we were returned our funds.

I’ve had an awful experience with Pam from Mohani. She didn’t show up to my wedding- one of the most important days of my life. She could have single handedly ruined my day had I not hired my amazing planners, exceptional florist and the wonderful staff at Fairmont in whistler to make up for her lousiness. I had booked her a year in advance and had expected her to deliver what she promised. We had corresponded for months and had all the details planned to my dismay. Pam took a gig the night before my wedding in the mainland and didn’t show up to whistler until 11:25 AM for my wedding that was scheduled to start at 11:30. I had booked a room for her and found out through the concierge she hadn’t checked in the night before. My planners and florist and the Fairmont staff were on their hands and knees getting all the details sorted and had to do with whatever resources they had because of Pam not showing up that morning. Talk about ethics!! Following the wedding we had a reception dinner and cocktail a few hours after. The only thing that Pam in the 3-hour break did was provide linens, charger plates and chairs(which fell short). We had to add extras from the banquet inventory. There was NO lighting, NO drapery, and barely any centre pieces. I could write out a long list of missing items but I just hope no one has to deal with something like this. I am SO thankful for my florist for saving the day and making up for everything that Pam didn’t do. All in all, I had a great day because of the people that were a part of it and all the other amazing vendors that really came through. I am so thankful I didn’t leave everything in Pam’s hands. Despite my wedding being amazing because of my other vendors(which should be recognized), I am really disappointed and feel taken advantage of by Pam. I regret giving her the deposit I did. I wish I allocated those funds to the people that actually did the work. Dealing with her has been nothing short of a nightmare. It was not what I had expected. She was unresponsive, disorganized, and unhelpful in so many ways. There were countless details missing on my special day because of her. Please do yourself a favour and don’t book Mohani. I have never written a negative review before but have been compelled to write one this time in the hopes that no one ever has to go through what I did.

Where do I start! We had Mohani for our small wedding last year and they just blew us away. Originally we had a big wedding planned however with COVID restrictions we opted for a 40 person wedding in our backyard. I can't even describe how over the moon my husband and I are. The transformation for our reception was incredible!! All I can say is I recommend Mohani if your looking for a beautiful transformation!!

Mohini Events – DO NOT USE! Pam does not have the time nor the passion for smaller events. I had gone with Mohani Decor as I always saw beautiful work posted on her instagram and I was hoping for the same for my brother’s wedding. Unfortunately, this was not the case. She will not return phone calls, emails, nor give you information requested when she says she will. Very disorganized. We had to change our venue due to COVID 19 from Vancouver to Surrey four months before the event was to take place. Pam was notified right away. It was such a difficult process to get her to come out to look at the new venue and after this, trying to get a revised quote. It was not until two months before the event that she came to meet me and even then she was 30 minutes late. The initial cost that we were quoted was much lower than what we were actually charged. Our vision did not come to life at all as I don’t think Pam took the care to think about what we had asked for. It was all rushed at the end. After our meeting we asked multiple times in advance of the wedding for a quote for the cost. Pam provided us a quote three days before the reception date, during our wedding functions. I was amazed but still hoped her work would make up for the lack of communication. We could not hire someone else at this point as it was thee days before the event. The final cost was completely not what we had planned for. For example, floor wrap which was originally quoted as $800 came out to $2600. The floral originally $3000 came out to $5000. In addition, the flowers were not even what we had originally discussed. She hired third parties for the floor wrap and floral so we had not choice but to pay as it was 3 days before the event. I was answering her question on the seating plan the night before the reception while I was supposed to be enjoying my brother’s wedding. There was no care taken for our choices or preferences. It felt like we were rushed after thought, nonetheless I still hoped the decor would make up for the experience. The entrance that was suppose to be “beautiful” was far from beautiful as she did not do anything. There was no proper way for the bride and groom to get on to the stage as the tables were blocking the stairs. The cake table was a pillar that could barely hold the cake – there was no place for the cake plate and utensils. In addition, we had asked that certain items only be placed on the family tables to control costs however this was ignored and was used on all tables. When we reached out to her to discuss the costs and what work was delivered, Pam took no responsibility for actions and how this function turned out. She claimed she would give a partial refund on October 14th and even though I reached out numerous times after this date we have not heard back from her. For a regular person, regular communication and full visibility of costs is very important. We spent a large 6 figure amount on decor for a small event and I feel as if it was not accounted for. Pam seems to be more interested in charging large amounts and not delivering results for smaller events. I cannot speak for larger, high end events which have planners that could guide Pam. My honest advise would be please do not use her for smaller events. There are many other venders such as Lux Affairs, Finesse, White Lilac Events that show more care in what they do. I regret not going with them. I am not a person who normally complains and even now I would not have but it amazes me that Pam feels she does not have to be accountable for her work. I do not have high hopes that she will respond to my review. Nonetheless, I hope I save someone else from going through the same experience. Nikki Mann

She knew how to take our vision and add her own spin to create something truly unique and amazing. She was very easy to work with, always offering suggestions, but never pushing anything we were uncomfortable with. She stayed in communication with us throughout the process and was easily available to talk with with when we needed her. Mohani Event Design made my wedding day a literal MASTERPIECE. Planning a wedding during the pandemic was not easy and we had to change the date a couple of times but Pam and her team were there for me every step of the way. They took the time to meet with me multiple times and go through my vision to make the most beautiful wedding. Pam would constantly be sending me new inspiration that she thought would look good with our wedding vibe and gave me some really good insight and inspiration to add to what I wanted. Sometimes, I swear Pam and I shared a same brain because she got knew exactly what I wanted. I was so nervous to pick a decorator and now, I don't know what I would have done without her. They have the nicest inventory as well - the most luxurious and intricate details that you only see on pinterest. Pam also got along with all my vendors and I can't even express how happy I was with my wedding. Pam is hard-working, creative, understanding and a true visionary. She is also really easy to get along with! When my husband and I first met with her, we were like "yup, we found our decorator". I cannot recommend Pam and the Mohani team enough!!! They will make your day beyond perfect.

Anjelina and the team at Mohani Event Design provided the most wonderful chairs for our wedding. The Rose Gold Washington Chairs and Rose Gold Infinity Chairs were the perfect accent for our wedding, and we could not have been happier with the end result. Anjelina was also thoughtful and responsive, and it was great working with her.

Pamela has beautiful stuff but she is the worst! My experience with her: 1. We went to her showroom to pick our linens. What Pamela brought on the day of the event was completely different from what we had picked. When we discussed this with her she said decided to go with another color as she placed the linen order too late and couldn't get the color we initially wanted. We picked our color 4 months prior to the wedding....she placed the order 2 weeks prior. The linen she brought wasn't even in the same color palette as the one we initially chose. 2. Centerpieces were different sizes than what we had picked. She brought cheaper smaller ones and said she thought they were nicer but never refunded us for the more expensive ones we paid for and wanted. 3. My planner had to teach Pamela how to drape a room which speaks to her experience. 4. She supplies broken chairs, burnt out uplighting, dirty linens and used candles. 5. She completely dropped the ball on providing some of our most important decor. My planner saved the day by ordering in what we needed but for 10 months Pamela mislead us by saying she had everything under control. The list goes on and on. Although she does have beautiful inventory, keep in mind you will have to hold her hand and hope that everything you discussed with her is exactly what you get on the day. I personally regret using her and would advise others to save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere

Not only she provides the most beautiful decor pieces that come straight out from the magazines, she also make sure we put together an event in the most reasonable price point for my clients.
