AMAZING. I cannot express how professional and smart Cliff is. We did our engagement shoot at Cypress in -1 degree weather and snowing. Cliff was so supportive, showed us how to pose, where to go, how to look.. just fantastic. We got over 200 pictures from him for our engagement shoot. Everybody LOVED them. On our wedding day, he went to take pictures of the groom and his groomsmen and then met up with the rest of the party at the venue. He is soooo quick on his feet and captured RIDICULOUSLY GOOD looking pictures (well from the previews at least.. omg my whole family is in love with them). He's so quick with setting up his equipment as well. All of a sudden, there was an umbrella light, burst lights... you name it, he was using them! We cannot express how satisfied we are with Cliff's photography services. Can't wait for the rest of the pictures!!!

Working with Cliff was a dream. From the very beginning, Cliff was always prompt with his communication and put us at ease by providing thoughtful responses to our questions. When we first met him, we were immediately drawn to his easygoing and friendly demeanour. I don't particularly like being photographed so we knew that having someone we felt comfortable with was going to be important. Cliff made our engagement shoot fun and relaxed and he provided excellent direction so that our photos had more of a natural feel to them. Cliff is an exceptional photographer. From our first email exchanges with Cliff to our later Skype conversations to when we finally met in person for our engagement photos, Cliff was responsive, professional, reasonable, flexible, and above all warm. Due to a family emergency we had to move up our wedding date at short notice and Cliff was very accommodating and patient as we scrambled to finalize our timelines and locations. Cliff knows Vancouver inside and out and brought us to all the best locations for our photos. We had lots of fun on our engagement photo session and enjoyed chatting with him between locations. On our wedding day, Cliff did an amazing job of capturing all the different parts of the day, communicating with us where needed but we barely noticed his presence most of the time. He also delivered our photos so quickly, which we really appreciated as one of us was leaving Vancouver soon after the wedding and we were able to go through them together. I don't think I can pick a good set of words to describe how amazing Cliff's work is. He did our engagement and wedding and we will hire him again in a heartbeat for any future events. If you're looking at his portfolio and love what you see, I can tell you they show the average quality of his talent, what you will receive will be even more amazing. He took his time to line up every shot, the color composition, geometry, and shapes, poses; he takes care of everything. He took his time and made sure every shot was great and if he was not happy with it, he patiently placed everyone back in their place and re-did it. He always made sure everyone looked sharp. He was a pleasure to work with, he's very friendly and funny and just a great personality to have in order to bring out the best in people for his shots. I'm sure you poured over dozens of photographs imagining what yours might look like, maybe you thought the pictures you saw were 'the best of the best' and expected maybe 1% to look like that. I did the same, and I'm about as photogenic as a potato. I can tell you from personal experience that anything you have pictured in your head will be blown away by what you will actually receive. Cliff, having you do our photography was one of the best decision we made, thank you for everything.

We had Cliff to shoot maternity photos recently, and the whole process was quite smooth and enjoyable. Cliff is very professional and knows how to interact with the client to help relax, and caputure the most nature and joyful moments. He also accomodated with all of our ideas and requests about the pictures. He listens to the client, and at the same time shares his creativity and great tastes to the work. My friends referred him to us and they had done both wedding photos and reception photos with him. The service and pictures were just beyond expectations. Great value of money. We had hired Cliff to shoot our wedding in March 2017 as both Annie & I loved the portfolio Cliff had online. Booking with him was easy as he kept in touch with us via email and through telephone. We set up initial meetings to discuss what we were looking for and what type of things we wanted and expected. Cliff was very friendly and professional at the same time, always asking and inquiring what we wanted to make sure we were happy. The first thing we had done was an "engagement/pre wedding shoot" done in Pacific Spirit regional park in Sept'16. The weather did not cooperate as we were trying to catch the Sunlight through the forest but even so Cliff had a backup plan. I found this very professional, he had all the equipment needed with him and a plethora of different camera lenses to help give him the shots he needed to get for us. We had this done in sept so it was a bit chilly but we we got it done, Cliff also had a passion for his work.. Even though the allotted time per our contract was up there was an opportune moment he saw for some pictures that he knew would look great so he asked us if we minded and proceeded to get the shots done for us. He has these photos done for us and we loved his work. We used choose a canvas photo for the entrance to our wedding reception that Cliff had done for us and it hangs on our wall in the house currently as well. When we met to pickup the canvas photo again it was very easy to set up a meet and location time with Cliff via email. When we met we went through our wedding reception timeline and what we wished him to focus on and otherwise let him do his work and hone his craft. The only thing he mentioned as an important thing to is was to act natural and not to hide from the camera. This way it makes it easier for him to catch natural shots and not have the bride and groom looking away subconsciously. We gave Cliff plenty of time to process the many pictures he took for our wedding as we had a trip to Taiwan after our wedding but it was perfect timing when we came back. He emailed us letting us know our picture were ready and we again very easily set up a meet. He let us peruse on his laptop all of the photos and then have us the USB stick with the photos in high res as well as FB size. We were very happy with his photos and his professionalism. His friendliness and ease to communicate with. We are definately happy we chose Cliff as our photographer and hope you do as well.

We were recommended through a friend of a friend when our original photographer bailed on us less than a month away from our engagement shoot, nine months away from our wedding. Cliff was very accommodating and reassuring during our first meet up, and we knew we wanted him to photograph our big day right away. Cliff gave us great instructions on how to pose, and picked great locations for all of our shoots. He was supportive of our silly pose ideas but also gave us great suggestions. Here's something funny - we've hired Cliff to shoot our wedding in a week and he has been so responsive and helpful with so many parts of our wedding planning that he really does NOT need to help us with that I can't help but leave a review. You can tell that he really cares about his work and his clients and he knows exactly what he's talking about. This is literally the first time I've left a Google review for someone BEFORE they perform the service that I've hired them for, but based on everything else I am COMPLETELY confident that we'll be extremely satisfied. Oh, and as an aside, we chose Cliff since we looked at the work of about 40 photographers and his were the only photos which really spoke to us in terms of the candid moments he was able to capture, the colour and...well I'm not a photographer but they were just the best. When we booked with our venue, we came across some venue shots from Cliff and we were intrigued and did more research on him and his photography style. Our wedding was October 27th and he was just flat out amazing. He had the best communication ever; we had many hiccups with our wedding, so I was often changing plans with him (I.E. where the wedding was, where we were taking pictures, what time it was starting) and his response was always "No problem!" I felt awful sometimes, but he never made me feel bad. He always assure me that he was happy to be flexible. He was worth every dollar. My husband and I are not too great at taking pictures, but we were so incredibly pleased with how not awkward we looked!???? He told us exactly how to pose, and did any poses we requested. He is very kind, and we could quickly tell during our engagement pictures that he genuinely cared about the couples he photographed. Cliff got to know us very naturally :) He is very professional. He was never on his phone, and always on his feet taking pictures of guests, us, etc. On our wedding day, we were very late and threw off his schedule (yes, one thing after another!) but oh my goodness, he was so patient. My parents first met Cliff at Tsawwassen Springs for a open house, and his reasonable rate, great personality, and incredible photographs, made him our first choice for photography for our wedding. He is so aware of every little detail, helping us pose certain ways, moving our bodies to more flattering angles, and capturing us in the best light. To top it off, he is such a pleasure to work with - he is very personable, fun, and has a great sense of humour. He worked by himself but was able to shoot various angles during the ceremony as if there were multiple photographers working. Our wedding was scheduled for 2020 but postponed to this year; he was more than accommodating with our frequent changes to the wedding date as well as venue. Cliff was a dream to work with from the start. Clear, quick and honest communications when we started inquiring about photographers for our wedding. After looking through his work and from his cheerful positive demeanor we decided to go with him for our big day! Then Covid hit and things changed pretty quick. We opted to postpone our big wedding until the next year and quietly planned an elopement on our original date. Cliff was with us the whole way, adapting and adjusting to a new timeline and plans. He made the trip out to Gabriola for our little Elopement and was a vital part of our day from helping Rob with his bow tie to making sure my veil was in securely, and was even one of our witnesses! For our photos, he made us feel at ease with his calm and professional direction, it felt like we were with a long time friend. Cliff noticed all the little things that he knew would be important to us and made sure to capture them. We were so excited when he ran back to the truck to grab his drone! It was such a great afternoon! And when we got the photos back a week later we were blown away! He genuinely captured the excitement of our special day as well as the beauty of our surroundings and celebration of our love. He made us look great and that drone shot is unreal! My husband and I had the most amazing experience with Cliff!!! I did a lot of research on various photographers in Vancouver and their pricing and I can say that Cliff is definitely very reasonably priced for the quality of his work and package he offers. Most important of all he is very professional, calm, easy going and an overall nice guy. Not only did he put my husband and I at ease but my family as well. Everyone kept commenting on how they loved his calm demeanour and positive vibes. Like most couples out there our original wedding got cancelled because of Covid. Throughout the whole process of figuring out what we wanted to do Cliff was super accommodating and understanding. We finally decided to just have a smaller wedding in July and we couldn’t be happier with the results. What we love is that the pictures he showed us during the wedding were exactly what we saw with maybe some minor editing on some, because he just knows which camera to use and how to use his lighting. Cliff is such a professional easy going guy to work with. One main reason we chose Cliff was that he is super good with lighting and we love his photography style. He bought a lot of professional lighting and did all the setup really quick at the venue that we didn't even noticed. He would constantly move the lighting around to get the best results. He is also super efficient and proactive and we didn't even see Cliff to take a short break from our wedding day. We were also impressed that he not only captured all the important moments for us, but also our family members and our guests. We absolutely love all our pre wedding and wedding photos. Even though Cliff is a one man team, there is nothing to worry about as he is really good and fast at jumping around different corners to get photos from all angles. The USB we got at the end got all the full size photos. We really like this arrangement so we can print whatever photos we like. We made some photo albums out of it at the end for us and our families.
