Copeland DJ was very helpful, answered all our questions very quickly. Neil was amazing because he stuck to the playlist we asked for even when our families tried to have it changed. I appreciate him looking out for our needs more so then what a few guests wanted. The music selection was great and he read the room so he knew what much worked and when.

Attended a wedding over the weekend where Rob was the DJ. He seemed very uninterested during the event and wasn’t engaging with the crowd. It’s very unfortunate to have a DJ who is supposed to create a positive atmosphere, but instead created a negative setting. Would not recommend, and hopefully management addresses this isssue.

My husband and I got married Friday, October 20th, 2017 at the Cambridge Mill. We chose to use Copeland as they were the in-house DJ. They did a great job – from the planning to the actual day. The DJ actually didn’t yell into the MIC a lot, which was nice because, I hate when DJ’s do that. He played good music, and at our approval took requests. We had a fantastic night, thank you for being part of it Copeland!

I was part of a wedding on October of 2019. It was a Harry Potter/Star Wars wedding. Not only was the wedding amazing but the show that Copeland put on was amazing. There's was fire and ice, we had so many great songs. There wasn't a minute that no one was dancing. That's a sign of a great DJ. The service provided by Copeland was not only a benefit to the Bride and Groom but they made the wedding so so much more. I can't say enough about this business but will definitely use them for any future events.

Copeland DJ was amazing. The wedding I attended was Star Wars and Harry Potter themed. It was so much fun!!! The first dance was amazing. Like, fairytale amazing, with pyrotechnics and dry ice. It was a dream!! The music for the night was well chosen and flowed perfectly throughout the night. It was obvious because no one stopped dancing until the venue shut it down lol. Copeland DJ was SO good, I decided to hire them to do my wedding in November of 2021. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

We hired Bil Copeland DJ Service through the recommendations of Whistle Bear, which is where we just got married. I am so happy with our choice. Rob was amazing and great with our guests. He was very professional and made sure that the dance floor was crowded until closing time. Everybody at our wedding was dancing which was amazing to have that experience and knowing that everybody was having fun! Music was played for every age group and if a song wasn't working Rob knew exactly what to do to get everybody dancing again. Andrew was our DJ a few nights ago at our wedding. Speaking to the process overall, their planning website is great! It was so easy to add our favourites, guest requests, first dance songs etc... It was great to see the top of the charts songs and have the ability to request specific songs not to play. It was also great how they have the option to request songs for them to get that they may not already have. The planning appointments with Bil were super helpful! He even helped us re-organize the flow of our evening to be a little more natural. We very much appreciated his opinions and experience, but flexibility, in the end, to still make our own decisions. Andrew was great on the evening of the wedding! We had a diverse group and we think he did a fantastic job throwing a little something in for everyone. He kindly made adjustments on the fly as guest requests were made and he was accommodating of us pushing forward certain events like the bouquet toss. He did a fantastic job blending our request list with his reading of the room night of and we couldn't have been happier! Can't wait to see the playlist on Spotify, such a special touch <3

Our DJ Dave was absolutely phenomenal! We are a fun bunch with a wide variety of music tastes and Dave just nailed it. A DJ can make or break the wedding reception in my family and he went above and beyond. My guests were so happy and so were we. Even as the bride I danced almost all night! I was pretty picky with when to fade music in and out for the dances and the entrance and it went off without a hitch! Now for the process: we enjoyed the whole thing. Donna answered all my questions any time I had them! She put my mind at ease always. The tools provided were so helpful and user friendly. We used the guest requests, memory jogger, did our top picks and had our consult. I felt informed the whole process. Thanks so much!! It was a blast!

Our wedding venue (Whistle Bear Golf Club) recommended Copeland DJ as their preferred vendor, so we decided to use their expertise and book this company. This is a hard one to figure out, review wise, because our actual DJ on the day (Chris Dufour) was AMAZING! He played everything we wanted to play, could read the room well, was very personable and we just gelled. That being said, everything leading up to the actual day was a bit of a nightmare. We had to contact them for everything, and no one ever answered. My husband usually had to phone three or four times after sending multiple emails in order to get a response about any questions we had or any processes. We had to wait an extra couple of weeks to send out our invites (they have these cards you can include with your invites for guests to request music) because they kept claiming they were getting lost in the mail. All in all, they caused of a lot of stress leading up to the day, but it ended up being worth it in the end. Just beware of the lack of communication.

Worked a wedding I was in. Honestly a really great night, and as we all know a really great night requires really great tunes. They nailed it. If I ever get married (and I won't, but if I did) guess who I'm calling? You bet, Copeland DJ. But you know they were so good maybe I'll stage a fake wedding just as an excuse to get them back for a night ????

J was our dj at our Cambridge Mill wedding. He was AMAZING! Not only did he do a great job he also was so great with my 7 year old daughter! She kept bugging him and wanting to hang out with him and he was so awesome with her! We had quite a few people say that the music that was played was the best they have ever heard at a wedding! J really took what we submitted on our forms (our likes and dislikes) and did an awesome job! Thanks sooo much you really made the party!

We booked Copeland DJ for our wedding at Earth to table: The Farm. We had Neil and he was amazing! Neil read the crowd perfectly and kept the party going until the end of the night. The dance floor was busy the entire wedding. Couldn't have been happier with him and the entire process with Copeland.

We had two meetings with Copeland Productions prior to our wedding. Both times we met with different people - both were knowledgeable and pleasant (Rob & Dave). We did as we were told, filled out all the surveys, uploaded the songs and emailed them, gave them the order, list and pronunciation key for the wedding party, made our "must play" lists and all other requests etc. They seemed almost overly organized but on the actual day of the wedding we had a different DJ named Cory. He absolutely butchered the names, announced the wrong pairs and in the wrong order and didn't play the songs we had given. He played Sting instead of Drake (lol) for the bridal party entrance and told me he didn't know who Drake was (which I still find hilarious given he's a DJ.. and just alive in Canada). All around it was a big waste of time and money. I would have loved to work with one of the guys we met with as they seemed a little more seasoned, I think it was Cory's first day. He also seemed to be having the worst time. I could have done a better job with an ipod and a megaphone. He seemed apologetic when I confronted him but we can't use any of the video from that portion of the night now. They refunded the lights we paid extra for (they didn't look anything like they did in the video we were shown) but overall, not worth it. It was embarrassing.

I got married at the Cambridge mill. Copeland DJ was the in house DJ that the mill recommended. Had a pre wedding meeting where we discussed in detail songs and ques. Day of the wedding the DJ had no idea what songs we were entering in to. He had no idea what was discussed in the pre wedding meeting. He was disorganized, had no idea when our dances were in the wedding and frequently had to be prompted to move the night along. When playing songs he played in genres. It was pretty obvious and guests were commenting on it. It was disappointing, and even now 2 years later it's the one part of my wedding I was very disappointed about. Maybe they were having an off day. Update—2018 I posted a review on the wedding wire. Naturally this company is fighting my review. No apology for the awful wedding experience. Just trying to erase it like it never happened. Because I purchased them through the mill there is no direct invoice from the company which is how they are getting around this. Even though I have corresponding emails between the two of us, one detailing the day of and one from the company stating their thanks for paying the invoice. I am so unbelievably disappointed not only with my service at the wedding but also how this company handles poor reviews. I would never recommend them.

This was not an experience i wish for anyone to experience especially on their wedding day if i could take the wedding card I gave back i would a night of enjoyment and celebration quickly turned into a night of migraines i don't wish anyone to experience such an inexperienced dj on there wedding night

Rockstar Photobooth (A DJ Copeland Company) was also hired for my wedding at the Ancaster Mill in June 2018. DJ Copeland DJ services were great and Al did a great job with the music! Rockstar Photobooth services was a very poor experience. There was no marketing of the photobooth and the operator of the booth did not inform any of our guests of the available props. The photobooth had technical issues which interrupted a guests session in the booth and many gave up and left the booth. The photobooth operator also did not give a copy of the photos to guests in a timely manner or didn't receive at all. The USB of all pictures taken that evening were given to me and when I opened it, only contained 39 pictures and to my surprise many were of the photobooth operator! I had to follow up regarding the pictures on several occasions and there was no follow up to address my issue. It is close to 2 months after my wedding and I am still waiting to hear back about estimated date of delivery of my USB with all pictures. I did not receive the services I had hired RockStar Photobooth and the follow up and escalation to the owner: Bil Copeland was poor. The office manager: Donna was great throughout the process and felt bad that she was caught in the middle. I would not recommend Rockstar Photobooth as it left a poor impression for a day that was supposed to be special.

Turned into Copeland's "Digital Vinyl" live stream this past Saturday and ended up leaving it on for the next 8 hours nonstop. They played continuously with a different DJ rotating onto the equipment every hour or so. Each one had their own style and all of them laid down some excellent mixes. It was a cool treat to hear what they can do when left to their own devices. Aside from a couple hiccups near the beginning, the sound quality was also pretty good for a live stream and there were very few technical glitches. Provided an awesome soundtrack to an awesome Saturday afternoon/evening on an absolutely blistering Canada day weekend.

We unfortunately had our wedding cancelled three times due to COVID and government restrictions not allowing us to move forward. We are not able to postpone any longer and are going to get eloped after more than a year of trying to have this wedding. Copeland advised they will not refund us our deposit even though this is out of our hands. They also advised that it is not that much money, but to us it is. Just a frustrating experience overall.

3.5 * Copeland DJ was the in-house DJ for Ancaster Mill where we had our wedding. We used them for the reception only as the Mill provides ceremony and cocktail hour music. Pros: -Copeland DJ is the only DJ allowed to use the built-in sound system so there weren't any extra speakers or equipment in the way. Our reception was in the smallest space (1812 room) and this was a big factor for us (unfortunately the DJ table is still set up near the head table and the equipment ended up in photos) -Their planning tools (memory jogger of songs, suggested "special dance" and intro songs) was very helpful -Planning meetings were detailed and staff were quick and responsive to emails Cons: -the DJ for your event is assigned to you and does not sit in on the planning meetings so there was a bit of confusion on the day -We provided an emailed file for our first dance song; it was confirmed as received and working but a different song was played -we had asked for no explicit songs and a couple questionable songs were played despite it being clear that several children were in attendance/on the dance floor I imagine your experience can vary depending on the skill of the DJ assigned to you. But overall, for the ease of planning and set up, it's a good choice if you are getting married at a Pearle venue.

I had contacted Copeland DJ in November regarding their photobooth services. After offering a deal that I couldn't pass up, Bil was going to send a contract for me to sign. However, it is now March and I tried to get into contact with Copeland DJ plenty of times (through emails and phone calls) and am unable to get any response as they STILL haven't sent me the contract. I am getting married in 3 months and still haven't heard back from them... Very unprofessional and unreliable.

We had Dave for our wedding DJ. The music cut out abruptly partway through our first dance, and he faded out the music 2 minutes into the song which he was not asked to do. We never got an apology for this. Our guests asked for music requests and the dj refuses until we told him to give our guests what they wanted. Before thr wedding, in the preparation stage the website to select our songs were not working and there was a mix up with the appointment time. They remedied this by providing uplighting which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately the dj mishap without apology the day of left us with an overall negative impression . We should have done research before booking this vendor.

The indoor safe sparklers blew my mind! The DJ was professional and did a great job reading the room playing music that catered to all ages that were there. Copland DJ's portal was easy to use and the summary appointment was a great way to meet your DJ before the wedding. We were assigned Rob as our DJ and he did a fabulous job at our wedding on September 7 2019 at Cambridge Mill! We were a bit nervous for the late night dancing portion of our wedding as a lot of our family members and guests do not dance however Rob has a talent in reading the room and playing music to get people on the dance floor such as 90's pop music (ie. Backstreet Boys). We had a lot of fun at our wedding dancing and it was all thanks to Rob!

It’s funny that going through all the ratings you can clearly see the owner has such a big ego. When anything is mentioned about something going wrong it’s immediately someone else’s fault followed by “ being a professional business we hoped your wouldn’t post truthful things that went wrong at your event, just secretly tell us so we can screw over a couple more people out of a good experience. The music was fun for a second, then annoying if I wanted to listen to outdated music I would go back in time. But DJ no requests here can’t hop onto the internet and get the job done. It’s not like we’re finding karaoke songs with lyrics. If he didn’t have the song fine... but working in the service industry we have a saying “ make it happen” if someone is not satisfied we do everything in our power to make sure the people paying our bills are taken care of.. even if it means going on YouTube and playing the song requested by the bride and groom..

We had Ryan as our dj at Whistle bear. He was friendly, came to introduce himself and went over thing with us before our ceremony. Everyone at our wedding had a great time. He did a great mix of music which kept the dance floor full all night. He played almost all of our top songs and took requests all night. Copeland dj planning website is easy to use and keep everything organized, took the stess out of planning music. We definitely recommend this company.

Average at best. We hired them because they were the preferred group at our venue and should have gone another way. We had DJ Herman. We made a huge list of music, he played about 20 mins of it and then strayed far away to the point where my guests were asking what he was doing. All our guests went outside to view a show (10mins) and when we came back in he was no where to be found and no music was playing for several minutes. Very awkward. Overall we were disappointed.

What a weak attempt at a DJ service. Was at a wedding and the groom was expected to micromanage the whole time to ensure good music was played as stated in the response form the owner. The music was real old and repetitive. Very sad to see the party part of a wedding be so upsetting to the bride and groom.

We had so much fun and had no idea the music was such a big part of our party.
