Fast forward 9 months and our wedding day finally came last Saturday! - We had a small wedding of about 50 people and everyone absolutely loved the school house! - The food was great and the ambiance was perfect! - We couldn't have asked for a better night. This is a great venue for intimate outdoor weddings! Not just the location but the service is also amazing. I had my wedding over the weekend and despite it being hot and sticky outside, it was still unforgettable and perfect. They also had fans outside so not to worry about the heat if you're having your wedding outside. The food was ever so delicious, all made there!! The decor and gardens are gorgeous. I highly recommend the Schoolhouse! Izabela, Tony and their staff are spectacular! Great people indeed!

There's an extra special experience you get out of planning your wedding here that you just can't get at the bigger venues. My husband and I, with an original group size of around 40 people, were supposed to be married here back in May of 2020. We were one of the unlucky couples to have to cancel and reschedule our wedding, which we ended up having to do twice. But despite the changing dates, and constant changing group sizes to suit the new restrictions, Izabela was unyieldingly flexible and accommodating to us. We were even able to bring our dog there to be with us. Even right down to the last two days, Izabela and her crew happily accommodated a couple of last minute attendees with extra seats and meals! I highly recommend hosting your wedding here, particularly for a smaller wedding size. It's such a beautiful and dreamy venue; the gardens and terrace are so carefully manicured and their décor is modern and on point. They're prepared for outdoor events even if it's cold and raining, so we never had to worry about what the weather was going to be like. Izabela and her team take care of everything for you--decorations, food, cake, seating, arranging an officiant, planning, everything! There was very little stress for us while planning our wedding, and it turned out to be so intimate and beautiful. At one point, because the cable they had at the venue to connect my iPhone to their speaker system for music wasn't working, they even went as far as to rush to their house to grab every iPhone cable they owned to make it work. I never even knew about this until the end of the evening! These people bend over backwards for you. So a BIG thank you to Izabela and the staff at At The Schoolhouse for all of your hard work, special attentiveness and accommodation. We had a beautiful day and we're so glad that we chose you! :)

Izabela and her team at At the Schoolhouse made our wedding planning easy! Not only do they take care of a lot of the little details (standard decor, lines, catering, officiant, flowers, even a shuttle if you go with the You’re My Everything package with the hotel reception)...Izabela can turn your vision into reality. She is super accommodating, letting us come early for first look photos and some early outdoor wedding photos so we could get some cloudy sunlight before the ceremony (winter wedding). They handled all the set up, as well as getting everything we brought in packed up for reloading before we headed out. Our guests have been raving about the small, intimate location, how easy it was to socialize, and how much closer everyone was during the speeches and dinner; they could speak to the people they wanted to address, even had some back and forth during them! There are not enough words to describe our experience but I will try to put it into a few "short" words. We got married on June 22. The venue is absolutely beautiful. There is a cute loft inside the schoolhouse for the bride's party to get ready which opens up to guests after the ceremony. We had our ceremony outside in the garden area. There is an old church across the street where you can go to take photos after the ceremony. Right after we said our "I do's" the church rang their bell. All evening, and the weeks following the wedding, my guests kept telling me how they could not get over how beautiful the wedding was. I was really stressed about costs and planning, as I'm sure most brides are. We could not have done this without Izabela. She took care of everything and made sure it was within our budget. She took care of our flowers (the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen - They were large white roses with eucalyptus), cup cakes, food, ALL the decorations, etc, etc. After signing the venue contract, I started to buy a few decorations but I stopped because as it turned out, Izabela already had all of the stuff I was purchasing! It saved us money, time, stress, all of it. We had our friend Kyle marry us but he was not ordained in Ontario. Having said that, Izabela also provided us with her minister named Barbara to do the legal portion at the signing table. Barbara was so nice, kind, and funny. She is exactly what you would want in a minister. Three weeks before the wedding day, we increased our guest count from 30 people to 65. I thought it might be a problem but Izabela and her handled it no problem. She was not stressed about it whatsoever. She made sure that there was more than enough seating for everyone and tones of food (the food is fantastic btw! I recommend the rice wraps as a canape). One thing I really liked about selecting this venue that you don't get with most other wedding venues is that you supply your own alcohol. Nowadays, having an open bar can add an additional $10,000 to the cost. We paid $40 for our liquor permit, $1,200 for alcohol (in retrospect, we could have cut that in half!) and Izabela supplied us with bartenders. Overall, I am so beyond pleased. Everything was perfect.

My fiancee and I are very happy with having chosen this venue for our engagement party. At the Schoolhouse is such a romantic, beautiful and perfect venue with such amazing customer service! Izabela and her team were so incredible from the very start until the very end of our event, going through planning details and event logistics with us. During our event, they made us and all of our guests feel at home and were on top of everything. Our event and planning ideas were all brought to life by this incredible venue - the outcome was breath-taking and exceeded all of our expectations! Luckily, it did not rain on the day of our event, but the large tent with the heaters were perfect as it was a bit chillier of a night. We could not have been any happier and had a more perfect engagement party celebration with our loved ones thanks to this venue! All of our guests were so happy and gave us so many compliments on the place. Izabela: Thank you for everything you did for Nicole and Paul’s wedding on Halloween, October 31, 2019. It poured rain. We didn't even notice. It was a wonderful day. Paul and Nicole had a very special story to tell. And you paid detailed attention. As you know, Nicole and Paul spent almost two years planning their wedding in the smallest detail, after choosing you. They thought through everything from how they would enter the ceremony and to what music, details as to the spoken word in the ceremony itself, to the decorations in the Schoolhouse, to the food, the selection of the music to be played at the celebration, and for various dances after dinner and hundreds of other little details including treats and games for the children since it was, after all, Halloween. Especially helpful was your forward planning with predetermined, predictable milestones for various aspects of the planning as time went on. And then you, Tony and your team gave their plans life. You masterfully brought it all together with sensitivity and attention to detail. And the results speak for themselves; a memorable intensely personal wedding. Your choice of the Officiant, Barbara Annas, for these two young people was inspired, reflecting a perceptive appreciation of the couple. Thank you for that. It made the wedding ceremony completely unforgettable. You took the decorations provided, blended them with your own and beautifully arranged it all to create an atmospheric result that made the best use of the live candelabras on the tables, the stretched out glass pumpkins with pinpoint lights inside, the enclosed baskets with glass enclosed candles inside and much more. The end result was warm and inviting, pretty and atmospheric. And you kept it moving along in an almost invisible but effective manner. That was particularly wonderful because it gave all the celebrants the time to enjoy and spend time on each aspect of the celebrations. Your choice of Chef Dan was wonderful. He spent significant time with Paul and Nicole to fully appreciate the dietary requirements and the rationale for them, taking into account various guests’ dietary requirements as well as the couple’s own unique but necessarily mandatory requirements including no alcohol. Allergies of any guests were taken into account, a special menu for children was provided, as was a vegetarian option which I understand was very good. The food was imaginative, delicious and plentiful. The venue was warm and inviting and contributed to the overall sense of a true and memorable celebration. It all contributed to a wedding we will remember forever. We couldn't be happier. A sincere thank you to you, Tony, and your team, all of whom contributed to the success of this event. I LOVED the Schoolhouse for my wedding and I so recommend it if you are looking for a site to host a wedding or another event! My husband and I were married at the venue in September 2019. We first saw the venue in April and booked within a week. I loved its garden space and the quaint Schoolhouse that has been so wonderfully refurbished. No need to go anywhere else for photos! The venue offers great wedding packages (we went with a sit-down dinner for about 40 people) and it included the officiant, décor, dinner, cupcakes, flowers, wedding coordinator (the amazingly competent Izabela!). It absolutely cut down on the wedding planning that we had to do ourselves and having Izabela organize it all on our behalf made the process much less stressful. The venue also has both indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and dinner so even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you are covered. Our wedding day went wonderfully and we were fortunate to be able to take advantage of the lovely garden space for our ceremony and have dinner outdoors in a tent. The grounds are beautiful and there is a great covered patio area as well. The kids who attended loved running around and doing the outdoor games that are onsite including a big jenga puzzle and ring toss (wish I had played as well!). Izabela and her staff were absolute professionals and I hardly even noticed them working and making the event run so smoothly. They were attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make us feel special. Our guests commented on the staff’s friendliness and many mentioned that the venue offered an intimate space but still had several different areas for mingling (e.g. Schoolhouse itself, tent for dining, covered patio with seating, garden area). A big thanks to Izabela and her team for making our wedding day just what we wanted and for the fond memories we now cherish.

We were recent guests at an intimate wedding hosted by this venue. Based on our very positive experience, we feel compelled to write the following review. The staff was incredibly attentive and personable, continuously topping up guests' drinks and accommodating any requests - they literally could not have done a better job. As an added bonus, the venue is located in a renovated historic stone schoolhouse and is across the road from a picturesque church, perfect for photos. We would highly recommend booking an event at this venue. Special shoutout to Isabelle, the incredible hostess!

This was the perfect venue for our outdoor summer intimate wedding. Izabela was very easy to work with and made our day absolutely wonderful. She has a comprehensive guide on wedding planning that was super helpful as we tried to envision our day. Hearing her describe the decor set up was nothing like seeing it in person on our wedding day. I had some ideas of what I wanted and left the details to her. I brought minimal decor and the rest (flowers, easels, signs, etc.) were all provided. The little touches were beautiful and just what we wanted. The officiant, Barbara, was fantastic as well. We highly recommend At the Schoolhouse for intimate weddings!

My husband and I got married at this venue on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Izabela and her staff (which includes her hubby) were amazing. Everyone raved at the attentive service and one guest commented it was the best wedding EVER! That could have had something to do with the open bar. If you are going to have a small gathering, this is your venue. Izabela provides an amazing experience. We did not have to worry about a thing.

Attended a wedding last month. The venue is so beautiful and intimate. It's truly a lovely spot. The dinner on the other hand I was not impressed with at all. The table settings were all squashed together. Waited 10 minutes for a salad after everyone else had salad and when 2 other guests and I get ours there was zero dressing. Then I waited 20-25 minutes from when they started serving the main course to get mine. It was cold, bland and gross chicken cordon blue. My husband mentioned similar dissapointment in his steak. I didn't even get a bun but others got seconds. Then turns out they ran out of cupcakes but we can have half a doughnut instead. Husband said it wasn't great. It was a great wedding and a great spot. But we ordered pizza when we got home.

Wow! Where do I begin? My husband and I got married at At The Schoolhouse this past weekend and it was the best day of my life. Izabela is AMAZING. It was a dream to work with her. She was kind, fun, helpful, and overall so great to work with. They helped made my planning so stress free and easy. All the details I wanted, came to life. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid19 and Izabela was so accommodating and helpful. She made sure there was no added stress to our big day because of it. I loved that I could give inspiration and At The Schoolhouse made it come to life. The set up, the decor, and all the vibes were perfect. Every detail I wanted was executed perfectly. The venue is beautiful. All the flowers and gardens are breathtaking. The grounds surrounding are so well kept and stunning. The whole concept of it is elegant, intimate, and romantic. I fell in love with the venue the moment I saw it and kept falling more and more in love with every detail. Our dinner…wow best meal I’ve ever had. All our guests were raving about their meal. I was so lucky that I could just enjoy my day because I knew Izabela and her team had everything under control. I am going to recommend At The Schoolhouse to everyone I know. I am currently standing onsite at this venue for my brothers wedding and I wanted to write this review. I will start by saying I’m a 20 year veteran of the restaurant and banquet industry as a Chef. I am probably the most critical person when it comes to pointing out mistakes during events as I have made them myself over the years. I could not pick out a single one today, the staff was friendly and extremely well organized they were exactly where they needed to be when they needed to be there. The food was very well put together, even the Beef dish, first time I have ever been to a wedding where the beef wasn’t over cooked dry and gross, amazing. From me and the entire family, Thank you for making my Brothers wedding a huge success.

Izabela and Tony, the owners of “The Schoolhouse” are two of the most amazing hosts and venue owners we’ve ever met. Where do I start? I had my wedding this summer. Izabela was not only professional, but also very helpful during all the preparation and on the wedding day. Attended an engagement celebration here last weekend. Very lovely venue and great helpful staff. The grounds were very nice and the schoolhouse itself was very charming. It had a washroom/changing space upstairs. However, the outdoor space is what everyone really loved. Just beautiful tent set up, with a nice garden space to mingle and take photos. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have an intimate gathering or celebration.

Beautiful spot for a wedding. The wedding was a small event with maybe 60 guests, so this was the perfect place for such an event. Outside, the staff setup the chairs, etc, and inside tables for a quick brunch afterwards. Nothing was left out, and the staff were fantastic prepping the food, bringing drinks, etc. Had a great time!!

The schoolhouse is an absolutely stunning venue! Izabela and her staff are amazing and made sure everyone was taken care of. The decor done by them was stunning and the food was delicious. We had our wedding At the Schoolhouse yesterday with a guest count of 40 people. We had an evening ceremony and plated dinner. We were thoroughly impressed with how delicious and generous the food was, how attentive, friendly and patient the staff was and how organized and efficient the owners Izabela and Tony are. Everybody always had a drink in their hands and our every need and request was met above and beyond our expectations. This venue is top notch and I would highly recommend it for a smaller, intimate wedding or special occasion. The grounds of the Schoolhouse are kept immaculate and the gardens are breathtaking. The feedback from our guests was so positive- everybody loved the food, service, care and attention that was given on our special day. Amazing venue! Adding some professional photos that just came in from Nicole Pigeon from Nicole Amanda Photography. We had a fusion wedding and Izabela and her staff graciously used all of my special decorations exactly as I requested including garlands, table runners, elephants and colourful umbrellas. The grounds of the schoolhouse are perfect for all photo opportunities.

I cannot say enough great things about this venue, Izabela and her staff. We booked with Izabela when we had to cancel our other venue due to Covid and she has been wonderful with communication – even when things reopened and she got very busy, always encouraging me to give her a call rather then an email to make sure I could get ahold of her. The décor and venue was beautiful, she made sure to follow all my instructions perfectly, and made sure we were able to get everything I wanted done in such a short period of time. My ceremony was postponed 1.5 hours due to me getting extremely sick minutes before due to heatstroke/being 5 months pregnant. Izabela and her staff worked as hard as they could bring me drinks, different types of food, googling ways to help me feel better, keeping my guests happy and hydrated and never rushing me to get the ceremony moving along. They even went above and beyond to offer to postpone the event to another date. Barbara our officiant was wonderful she sat down with myself and discussed shortening the ceremony to make things easier on me, and worked alongside the venue to make sure I had water and a chair close by incase I needed it. I never thought I would get sick BUT, everything about my day was perfect and this is all thanks to Izabela, her staff and Barbara. The guests cannot stop raving about the food – we got the chicken, salmon and pasta dish. Izabela puts her heart into her work, and you can tell everyone At the SchoolHouse loves what they do, and they are such kind-hearted people. This little venue is absolutely gorgeous and super intimate, I couldn’t imagine my wedding anywhere else. They made my day so special, and I will be forever grateful.

I had the privilege of attending a friends wedding at this beautiful wedding venue this past summer and was blown away at the professionalism of the owners and how well everything was planned out and executed. The venue was perfect for smaller ~50 person style wedding and there were options for outside and inside dependent on the weather. The remote location in the country was just perfect for pictures of the bride and groom and wedding party. I fully recommend this venue for anyone looking to plan their wedding in the near future!

I would give a 6 star rating if I could. This venue was absolutely amazing in every way. My fiancée and I celebrated our engagement at At the Schoolhouse and it couldn't have been any more perfect. The space, the decor and the service went beyond expectations. It's the perfect spot for any type of celebration from engagement parties to birthdays and of course, weddings. Izabela and her team were so incredible from the very first introduction email and truly made us feel right at home during our event. Every detail was taken care of and there wasn't a moment where Izabela and her team were not on top of everything to make sure the party was going on smoothly and our guests were having a wonderful time. We heard endless compliments from our guests regarding the venue and the whole setup. A couple of the great things about this location is the large tent that is setup outside which is a perfect cover for windy or rainy occasions and the large propane heaters will make you feel like its the middle of July even in the colder months! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for any type of event and you can count on Izabela to help make everything perfect!

We got married here recently and some of our guests mentioned that it was the best wedding they've attended. Izabela and her staff were so helpful throughout the adventure we had here at the schoolhouse and were extremely accommodating and pleasant. By the end of it they felt like family. Outdoor or indoor, they have a contingency for everything. Our attendance was 24 including us, and the location was perfect for something so intimate. We were married At the schoolhouse this past July 2020 amist the covid 19. These were very stressful and uncertain times for everyone especially for couples planning to tie the knot. Izabela and her husband Tony and their team were wonderful. Izabela was there to help with planning our event and accommodating our requests. She made our day so special and safe. We had a beautiful evening wedding in the court yard with 35 guests. We wanted a small intimate wedding winth immediate family members and a few close friends. Izabela took care of all the decorating, food preparations, orchestrating the event and her staff were so kind and friendly. My mom's chain necklace broke as we were getting dressed. I asked my son in law to find Izabela to ask if she could repair it. Magically she repaired it while her staff served wine to the wedding party and guest prior to the wedding. Physical distancing was practised and they had a large tent in the backyard for our wedding. The tables were spaced out. There was purell available and staff cleaning. The staff members served the drinks all evening so our guest did not have to enter the schoolhouse unecessarily. The cake was beautiful as the photo we had shown her. The carotte cake was delicious. Its a truely beautiful venue and a very relaxing feel to the country environment. I have and will continue to rave about our magical wedding day that came true with the help of Izabela and Tony. Thank you. We could not have done it without your help for a beautiful relaxing family wedding. Our families are still saying was a perfectly magical evening that we had. We chose to go with At the Schoolhouse as it was the perfect intimate setting for our wedding. We also loved that the packages included so many of the details, which took a lot of stress out of planning the wedding. We had 65 guests, had the ceremony and reception there, and extended our time until midnight. We had the officiant, florals, decorations, food and dessert included in our package. Our officiant was Barbara, who often works with At the Schoolhouse, and she was amazing. She worked with us to write the ceremony and helped us with our vows. We did not have space to have a sit down dinner, so instead we got a cheese plate, canapes, and a late night pizza snack. This format worked perfectly, and we have had many compliments about doing this for our wedding. The food was really good, and we had plenty of it. The place looked beautiful, the garden and outdoor area is so nice, and as the weather was good we spent the whole ceremony and reception outdoors. Our only complaint was that the communication leading up to the wedding was slow at times. When Izabela did get back to us, she always answered all of our questions though.

My husband and I got married here two days ago and we had the most amazing experience and would not have had it any other way. Izabela and her husband Tony are amazing and very nice to deal with. We had a very stress free wedding in terms of planning, landscape, dinner, cake and everything else included. We brought some of our own stuff (pictures and mr & Mrs sign) and they just knew where to put it. The staff were amazing as well and they all made us felt welcomed. We originally booked this venue for our wedding in 2019 to get married here in 2020. Because of the pandemic we’ve had to reschedule twice and were able to do so without any issues. We were able to keep our date each time and Izabela was very accommodating and helpful. She offers wonderful all round packages that make wedding planning so much less stressful for the couple. we are living in germany so planning a wedding in canada was a daunting task but she made it incredibly easy for us. Amazing service for super reasonable and fair prices. We are so happy and can’t wait to finally get married here.

The evening was everything we wanted it to be- low key and relaxed, with Izabela and her staff taking care of everything. The decorations were all beautiful, and the cake was stunning! I loved the tent with the board games, and the bubble blowing centre, ring toss and giant Jenga were a hit with the kids (and, let's be honest, with the adults too). At the end of the evening her staff cleaned everything up in the blink of an eye. My guests lots of compliments on the venue, and how lovely and unique it was.
