If you are on the fence about whether or not you need a wedding coordinator, we assure you that Breanne and ThistleBEA are worth every penny and more! When we started planning our wedding, we had no clue what was involved! We hired Breanne to help guide us in the months leading up to the wedding, and to take over on the day. She was always available to answer questions, and brought up important details we hadn't even considered in our meetings. Knowing that she is a crafty individual herself, it was easy handing over all the personal touches we had lovingly crafted for out wedding, confident that she would display them beautifully. We were not disappointed! When Breanne picked everything up early in the week of our wedding, it was a huge relief and meant that I could let go and enjoy spending time with friends and family who had traveled in for the event instead of stressing, tweaking, or second guessing myself. Her calm manner and confidence as she made note of all the bits and pieces and what I had in mind put me at ease. She also shared her itinerary with all the vendors ahead of time and handled all communications with them in that week leading up, so everything went incredibly smoothly. Ivan saw the venue on the wedding day before I had a chance, and when we met for our first look pictures, one of the first things he said after the initial romantic stuff was "Have you seen everything set up? It looks AMAZING!" There were so many little details and bits and pieces, I couldn't even imagine how it would all come together in time on the day, and I have to say it completely exceeded my expectations! As for the running of the day, Breanne was incredibly thoughtful and thorough. She made sure we had some cocktails and appies while we were doing our group pictures, tissues for speeches, and even helped me change into my second wedding dress after my first got muddy during pictures. She is professional, kind, creative, level headed, and wonderfully organized. Nothing was overlooked! I cannot recommend ThistleBEA highly enough. My new husband and I so appreciate everything Breanne did for us in making our wedding truly exceptional and there is not a single thing we would change if we were to do it again.

Choosing ThistleBEA for Day Of Coordinator services was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. I honestly can't imagine how the day would have gone without them there. Breanne was our point of contact and she organized with all our vendors, picked up our decor, set it up BEAUTIFULLY and delivered it back the next day. She took care of any issues that arose throughout the night, unbeknown to us. Not only was she extremely effective, she is a pleasure to work with and a genuinely great person. We used ThistleBEA to do set up and take down for our wedding at the Fraserview Banquet Hall. Breanne was absolutely AMAZING. She came and did a walk-through with me to see the space and discuss my vision for what we wanted. She was great about providing suggestions while listening really well to what we wanted. She asked all the right questions and came up with lots of great questions I hadn't thought of. She was really responsive to emails and questions leading up to the event, too. I bought all the decorations, and she picked them up from my house and brought them to the wedding, then set it all up. But sh also went above and beyond, jumping in to help with problems and organize other things. Really above and beyond what we had hired her to do, she would make an amazing wedding coordinator clearly! The space looked exactly like we had discussed, it was beautiful. She came that night to tear everything down, and dropped the decorations back off at my house. So easy!

OMG. Where can I even begin with how much my husband and I LOVED Breanne & the ThistleBEA team?! The first time we met Breanne, we knew we were in good hands. She knows the wedding industry inside and out, has wonderful connections with countless vendors, but what really blew us away was Breanne herself. She is brilliant, kind, patient and all types amazing. Breanne was our Day of Coordinator for our wedding in October 2020. We hired her in January and as you know, COVID put a damper in things and we had to cut our guest list in half and implement strict guidelines to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Breanne was there to guide us every step of the way. We were an anxious mess but whenever we talked to Breanne, she always delivered 100% peace of mind. She is understanding, kind and lovely. Whatever detail it was, she was on it. The ThistleBEA team is courteous, friendly and pay attention to the smallest details. We ended up having a micro-wedding of 20 guests and yes, no matter how many guests you have it’s important to have a Day of Coordinator. From the decor set-up to timeline planning, to cueing the bridal party to walk down the aisle to the right music, I am so proud that our wedding had no hiccups! It was absolutely fabulous. My Maid of Honour is an event planner and even she was raving about how fantastic and professional Breanne and her team was. If you are hesitant on whether you need a Day of Coordinator or not, let me tell you, it is absolutely worth it. Go for it! As a bride, you can just focus on your special day without sweating over the little things. I am so grateful that I was able to enjoy my wedding day and connect with my guests as the ThistleBEA team worked hard in the background, keeping everything flowing effortlessly. I would highly recommend ThistleBEA for any bride who’s looking for event planning for their wedding.

I can honestly say Breanne is the best, most capable and easiest to work with planner I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I've been a full time wedding photographer since 2011 and have worked with many. ThistleBEA handled the day flawlessly. She handled issues with another vendor calmly and professionally. These issues could have ruined the day, but she made sure to keep things rolling and just made it all happen. Like magic! She's organized, effective and the wedding was transformed from a mere wedding to an event due her creativity and skill. She's the first planner ever who reached out to me before the wedding. We went over all the important details and she offered to help me sort out a few shifting details even though they were my responsibility, and she had her own full plate. She was completely focused on making sure the day went perfectly for her clients. I can't speak highly enough of ThistleBEA other than to say if I was planning my wedding, I would hire her without a second thought. I look forward to having the pleasure of working together again.

We were lucky enough to have ThisleBea look after our wedding day for us. From before our wedding day to after we left the venue, they were our guardian angels. They answered all our seemingly silly questions before hand, helped us make sure we had though about every last detail, and then on the day of, they made it possible for us to have a fun wedding, where we could concentrate on our kids and guests. I can't begin to explain just how relaxed I felt with them behind the scenes. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone getting married. I truly don't know how we could have pulled off our wedding without them.

Honestly, the greatest decision we made was hiring Breanne. She was so on top of every detail and always available when I needed advice or suggestions. She kept us on track and organized during the planning and on schedule during the day. We had A LOT of decorations for her to put together on the day: we had beautiful driftwood chandeliers, a ton of fabric hanging from the ceiling, intricate table settings etc. She did an AMAZING JOB bringing all of our vision to life. When the rain stopped an hour before the wedding she pulled off a last minute decision to have the ceremony outside. (We were so excited about that, our beautiful ceremony was our favorite part of our wedding). Breanne even made sure we had eaten the appys on our wedding day and always had a drink or water in our hand. Thanks to Breanne and ThistleBea we didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day and we just got to enjoy the amazing day. I highly recommend hiring Breanne as your day of coordinator. She was worth every penny.Thank you so much for making our day as perfect as we hoped it would be.

We can't recommend ThistleBEA enough. Winnie and Breanne were easily the best money spent on our wedding. They handled everything so well on our wedding day we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. They took care of the smaller details, like decorating and wrangling people, and turned problems into seamless experiences. For example, during dinner, we realized we would run out of pizza. Winnie suggested the number of additional pizzas to order, and while I tried to think of which pizzas to choose, she responded we'll need 7 pizzas, 3 meat, 4 vegetarian, and handled it. I didn't have to give it any thought. Leading up to the wedding they handled all the final details in order to ensure things would arrive. After the wedding, they packed up all the decor, alcohol, gifts, misc. items, and loaded most of it into their cars, which they delivered for us the next day. The excess boxes I needed to pick up took under 10 minutes to load into my car because they organized the clean-up so well. They were incredibly hospitable and dependable, and a calming presence the day of. They went above and beyond our expectations. Everyone should have a Winnie and Breanne at their wedding!

ALRIGHT. First, I am SO sorry it took me forever to write a review but Breanne deserves a whole chapter’s worth for my review and I wanted to give her and her team just that. When I first met Breanne, back in 2019 all we had to worry about was bad weather and a drunken uncle. Fast forward through 2020 and I am so grateful I had her and her team at Thistlebea to support me as my day of coordinators on such a big day. Breanne is a talented and super organized woman. It was such a breeze working with her, my husband and I so appreciated how she covered everything with us to make the day as smooth as possible for us. She was patient through my indecisive days, supportive when we were low and unsure about the possibility of our wedding even happening and so lovely around our family when we had our rehearsal. EVERYONE raved about how helpful and resourceful Breanne was. She has a detailed system to making sure no questions are left unanswered on your day. So you two rest assured you will wake up on your wedding day with at least a few less itinerary related jitters. On the day of, August 14 2021, my husband and I relaxed, enjoyed and were none the wiser if anything weird was happening. Which in my opinion is a major win. My guests were comfortable and I got lots of compliments on how well organized the night was. A few memorable moments for me were being cued perfectly for my entrance, Breanne sewing my dress (I ripped it!), Breanne making a new boutteniere for my Dad right before our dance, her wiping my husband’s sweat to make sure he looked handsome in pictures! Honestly I could go on. Oh, she also introduced me to my cake vendor Mooch Confections who is incredible. So if you are just starting to plan, her network will also set you up for success. Point blank, if you want a smooth wedding, hire Thistlebea! Thank you so much for helping make the day absolutely perfect ❤️

They made it easy for us being flexible with pickup and drop off of equipment/decor, and made sure to do e-mails/video call communications to ensure that they understood our vision and what we wanted to see for our big day. I can't say enough amazing things about Breanne. She came to our house to meet with us twice before the wedding to discuss details, and she was super prompt, thorough and helpful when responding to any questions over email. Breanne and her helper Winnie worked about 17 hours on our wedding day, with huge smiles the whole time. They were at the venue when we arrived in the morning and were the last to leave. Breanne took all our cards, gifts and valuables and delivered them to us at home the day after our wedding. She was competent, calm, accommodating and intuitive. She was always one step ahead, knowing exactly what might be needed. Breanne and Winnie did anything and everything to make our day run smoothly, including bussing tables, handing out tissues during speeches, redecorating tables as they got moved after dinner, and thoughtfully packing up our uhaul full of our decorations. One example of her unflappable and professional nature was our indoor/outdoor ceremony decision. In the morning on our wedding day, the weather looked good and we planned for an outdoor ceremony. Later on, it started pouring with lightning and thunder and Breanne moved the ceremony indoors. When the weather cleared up just in the nick of time, she had absolutely no issue moving the ceremony back outside again. We trusted Breanne to set up all the decor at our wedding, and we were totally thrilled with how it came out. My husband is very detail-oriented (he was called Groomzilla more than once on our wedding day), and he had nothing but fabulous things to say about how well everything was executed. Thanks to Breanne and Winnie we were able to relax and enjoy our day, without imposing on friends and family to do the heavy lifting. I recommend Thistlebea 100%. Hiring them was the best wedding money we spent!

Breanne has achieved that sweet spot of working as a true professional but still somehow also making you feel as though you are old friends! My partner is Canadian, and we met and lived in Canada before moving to my home country Australia where we now call home. We wanted nothing more than to marry in Canada where our story started 10 years ago, but the idea of attempting to plan a wedding from overseas was extremely overwhelming for us - enter Breanne! As soon as we had our first email interaction, we knew we made the right decision reaching out to ThistleBEA. Breanne's warm and ‘can-do’ attitude had us breathing a sigh of relief. She had a fantastic list of suppliers and vendors to help us narrow our search and was full of fresh ideas that could make our wedding work the way we wanted it. When COVID hit and were unable to fly to Canada, Breanne was determined to complete the in-person site visit we had planned on our behalf, where she went up a mountain and face timed and showed us around the venue virtually, making it so we didn’t miss a second of the viewing!!! She also helped us immensely navigating the inevitable delaying/postponing process with our vendors and suppliers so that we could change to a later date and be confident that we weren't risking the health or safety of our family and friends. She went above and beyond at every point of the planning process; no matter if it was via, email, message or zoom, we always felt looked after and confident she had things taken care of. Breanne was great at promptly responding to emails and developing the timeline for our day and Winnie and Deborah were excellent day of coordinators making sure that everything went off without a hitch! I had the pleasure of working with Breanne and her assistant for my 2021 covid-wedding in May. Everyone bride I spoke to told me to hire a wedding planner and I'm so glad I did! Breanne had saved me on multiple occasions on the day of the wedding and leading up to the day! I honestly don't know what I'd do without her! She helped me navigate all the changing rules of covid and event planning and eased all my worries. On the day of the wedding, she was the go-to person for all my vendor contacts so I didn't have to worry about a thing. My wedding strap snapped right before our photoshoot and of course she had her sewing kit handy and fixed it!!! Even though we ended up just having a 10 people wedding, we were still so happy we kept her so we didn't have to worry about a thing! Having a day-of coordinator was recommended to us, but we weren't sure it was something we needed. After meeting with Winnie (our soon-to-be-coordinator) and Brianne, though, we realized we could really use one. Through our interactions leading up and especially on the big day, it was clear we made the right decision. They took every concern we had and made us feel validated while they addressed them. Everyone in our party loved how organized Winnie was, how well she managed the flow of events, and the tact with which she ushered the party and guests if needed. She approached us only when she absolutely needed to - otherwise, she was an invisible and ever-present force guiding our super awesome union and party! About a year ago, I made a post in a Facebook wedding group in search of a day of coordinator who could also do setup/takedown (as I wanted friends/family to relax as honoured guests, not slave away). Among the many who responded, ThistleBEA Your Wedding's package seemed most reasonable, not to mention comprehensive. I met with Breanne, the head planner, for coffee and found her to be personable, organized and professional. She answered my questions thoroughly during our meeting and responded to my follow-up questions in a timely manner. I felt she was reliable and booked her as our DOC. During the month of our wedding, she helped with working out our timeline, got in touch with our vendors so everyone was prepared and found solutions for some things I had issues working out. The day before the wedding, she attended the rehearsal at the church and I passed the decor to her. On the day of the wedding, Breanne took care of absolutely everything that needed taking care of. She came prepared with our timeline, copies of our speech and seating chart, kept our reception events on time, helped sort the computer issues at the restaurant for the photo slideshow, helped me with changing my dress for the tea ceremony dress, did a beautiful job on setup and completed a but very thorough takedown in a rather limited timeline, got the kids their activity books and arranged for extra settings for two last-minute guests. We were so, so glad to have Breanne there to cover all the bases and highly recommend her services. Breanne, thank you for all your problem solving, professionalism, creative ideas and hard work! Could not have done it without you!

Breanne and her team was absolutely amazing. As iterated many times before by others below but she always remained calm and literally at your side any moment you needed her. I was out and about getting ready and taking photos all morning so I left the venue set up to her - I had many ideas for decor that I would show her leading up to the wedding (there was a fair bit of DIY) and she would either replicate or take it one notch higher and come up with something I didn't. I took a rather involved approach for my wedding but Breanne made sure to ask me all the questions that I didn't think about and gave me options or suggestions when I didn't have an answer. As we were leaving out of town the following Monday after the wedding, Breanne was kind enough to allow us to leave her with a few of our decor rental items to return on the Monday which was tremendously helpful. All in all I was very happy with the service received and highly recommend her to those in need of a day of coordinator as she truly lived up to all my expectations for an excellent day of coordinator. We were so lucky to be able to have Breanne and Sonaiya looking after our wedding. We got the mid-ranged package (I think), that came with the 5 weeks prior to help us organize and the day of coordination. There were so many things we didn't have to worry about, because Breanne had already thought of it. At one point we had some small things come up during the reception and I hardly knew they were a problem, because they'd already been taken care of. It's a lot of little things you don't think about that creep up on you before the wedding. She and Sonaiya made it so easy for us and our family by being there to help us set up the hall and take things down at the end. My parents said how little they felt they did, because Breanne and Sonaiya had done so much! They were absolutely amazing, and I don't know what we would have done without them. I highly recommend their service.

My wife was the one who decided that we would probably need a day planner for our wedding, which was good decision, and it was my wife who hired Breanne which was probably one of the best decisions for out wedding. Breanne was amazing from beginning to end, but especially near the wend when our wedding was approaching. The week of the wedding she helped (a lot) with set up at our venue, transportation, organisation, syncing with our various vendors and calming our nerves, taking the weight off our shoulders so we could actually enjoy our day. She was always on hand when we had a question, or ready to supply us with suggestions. She managed to make sure all family and friends were on the same page when it came to what we wanted for our wedding, she coordinated and organised and worked hard to make sure our special day was extra special. Really she blew us away with how much work she put into making our day amazing. We hired ThistleBEA to help with day of coordination for our wedding and it was the best decision! Breanne met with me initially and instantly made me feel comfortable and confident with her services. After our meeting, she was notified that her cousin's wedding was the same day as ours and she wouldn't be able to attend ours. She immediately let me know, Winnie, her co-DOC would be available. We had a meeting with Winnie and I could just tell she was going to do a great job the day of. Breanne continued to do all the behind the scenes work (creating a day of timeline and contacting our vendors the week of) and made sure to keep Winnie in the loop the whole time. On the day of, Winnie arrived at our venue at 8:45am and didn't leave until after my husband and I left for the night! She was always around to make sure we were on schedule and making adjustments to timing as needed throughout the night. She set up all our table decor perfectly, her clean up at the end of the night was great, making sure to keep everything in one spot for our families to collect things if needed. Before hiring ThistleBEA, I wasn't sure we needed a DOC but it was honestly the best decision we made as it totally helped our day flow smoothly allowing all our guests to just to enjoy the day and making sure myself (and family members) didn't need to worry about anything!
