Leading up to the wedding, we had a few phone calls with her discussing details and plans, and after each call my partner and I would gush over how organized Kayla was, and how confident we felt in her hands. It was clear that this wasn't her first rodeo, as she brought up details that we hadn't even considered. She was also so easy to work with - she's funny, friendly, down to earth, and genuinely cares deeply about your event going off without a hitch. At the rehearsal and the actual wedding day, she was calm and in control. There are so many moving parts and things happening, and to have an experienced professional there to sherpa you through the event is invaluable. We interviewed a few planners for our wedding as we knew it would be a big and complicated job. Kayla was not only extremely professional in the interview but HONEST about what she could do for us and how she felt about certain things. I completely respected that and knew we would be a good fit as I HATE people who over promise and under deliver. From day 1 of hiring her, Kayla had non-stop communication about everything going on, we discussed things numerous times and she even took an entire day and drove out to our wedding sites to walk around the 2 different spots in different cities and get a feel for what I was wanting and looking for. Come the day of the wedding there were a few small hiccups caused by external factors that were out of Kaylas control (it wouldn't be a good wedding without a little stress and drama to start the day LOL). Kayla remained calm throughout the entire day and got everything organized and fixed without any guest ever knowing. Not only did she help make our wedding amazingly perfect, I wouldn't have been able to get through the day without her keeping everything in line. As a bride, you're already under enough pressure and stress the day of the wedding because you want it to be perfect and everything you hoped for. Instead of trying to do it all yourself, I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Kayla to take care of things and spend the best day of your life stress-free with your hubby and the only thing you'll need to worry about is not tripping down the aisle. ???????? Kayla is SO passionate about her job and it truly shows in how she treats you, listens to you and runs the show on your wedding day. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made for the wedding and I only wish I could do it all over again so I could thank her a million times over on the day. I'll be honest, my wedding was tough and complex for Kayla as we has numerous sites and vendors and A TON of coordination between different cities and people. She still managed to do an outstanding job and that's just proof she's the top in this business. Stop thinking you can't afford her or don't have it in your budget to hire her. You'd be crazy not to. The best piece of advice for your wedding: get a wedding planner. And not just any wedding planner - get Day By Knight events. What we thought was an "easy to plan" small, intimate wedding, quickly became overwhelming to coordinate. When we called Kayla Knight to see if a wedding planner could help, it became clear in that first call, when she helped us really pin down what we wanted (and therefore what we needed!), that we didn't just need a wedding planner... we needed THIS wedding planner. Kayla's years of experience working in the Okanagan, recommendations and connections with other vendors in the industry, and true understanding of the stress, detail, and financing that go into a wedding were what made our planning process and wedding day easy to enjoy. Kayla is worth every penny (we had the full planning package, which I initially didn't think we needed for 35 people and very quickly became obvious that it was the best choice). She was able to find reputable vendors that fit our budget, pulling together a whole team of vendors (catering, DJ, bartender, photographer, videographer, rentals, officiant) who told us many times that they love to work with her, and she coordinated with all of them for the day of timing and prep. She was very respectful of our budget and offered a lot of guidance on where we should focus our efforts and $ based on what we told her was most important to us (check out the decor in the pics - it was not a priority for us and we hardly did anything for it but Kayla picked items that we knew we would need (ie. napkins, utensils) and picked them in a way that complimented the finished look!). Our family, friends, and wedding party in attendance emphasized how things flowed easily, everything appeared under control, and how they enjoyed getting quality time with us without feeling like asking "what can we do to help?" - we didn't need any, Kayla had it under control! The biggest compliment I think I can give Kayla is that we got to ATTEND our wedding day because of her. And I say "attend" to emphasize how much we got to enjoy our wedding day without an ounce of worry, stress, or coordination. We just showed up to the party... and everything was done! It was kind of like magic how it all came together... which I guess makes Kayla magic!

Kayla was amazing as our day-of coordinator! She met with us a two times in the months leading up to the wedding, and was always organized and ready to go with questions.
