We were so happy with the process for planning our small wedding through Coastal Weddings and Events. We came in with very little creative input and Kori was more than happy to use her expertise to come up with locations, decor, timelines, and everything else that goes into planning a wedding. This process made it so easy and we were so impressed with the results, it was literally stress-free. Our guests were equally impressed and appreciated all the smaller details and that was thanks to Coastal Weddings and Events. I will happily recommend this business to anyone planning a wedding (or event!) in the future.

Melissa and her team planned an absolutely perfect, gorgeous small wedding for us at Pointhouse. Melissa was very responsive and easy to work with, scheduling regular phone calls to update us. All of the decor was beautiful, especially the flower arrangements. The vendors she chose were amazing for food and cake and photos. We had the perfect wedding without any stress!

We worked with Melissa for our elopement in December 2019 and it was such a perfect experience! She was incredibly helpful and calming as we began the preliminary planning process over the phone, helping us find a marriage commissioner in Gibsons, making a schedule for our day, and learning our preferences for flowers and decorations. We knew we wanted to get married on a beach near Gibsons but were not sure exactly which one would be best. Melissa scouted potential locations and sent us photos in advance, and then the day before our ceremony she even met up with us and took us to (I have to assume) every possible beach nearby so we could see them all in person and choose the best one. She was incredibly patient and really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The day of our ceremony we didn’t have to worry about any logistics – we just arrived at the beach with our photographer and Melissa was there waiting with our commissioner, lovely decorations laid out, and the most beautiful florals I could have imagined! She thinks of everything. Immediately following the ceremony we were handed glasses and a bottle of champagne – the perfect finishing touch! Melissa was wonderful to work with! We originally had our wedding planner for May 8th, 2021 but pushed it back to Fall of 2021. The 18 months of planning our wedding was hectic and an emotional roller coaster, but Melissa swooped in and does what she does and takes care of it all. We put our trust into Melissa and she brought our vision to life after 18 long months. Without fail, Melissa was there for us whenever we needed her. We live in Vancouver so we weren’t able to meet in person very often, but Melissa was just a phone call away. We hired Melissa to do our planning, decor & florals. She blew us away. The full planning, decor and floral package was the best choice we made as it was so helpful not having to carry our decor from Vancouver to the coast. Melissa had all the decor we had wanted and more! She even went out of her way to find me a gold circular arch I had wanted for the ceremony. I still can’t get over how whimsical our wedding day was. The flowers, the greenery, the twinkle lights and best of all the clear tent. It was so beautiful being able to see the sky above us and then the stars as we moved into the evening. On the big day, Melissa was a calming presence and any time something needed to be done she was on it! She even helped fix my bustle when the button had torn off. Overall, we absolutely loved working with Melissa and her staff. They truly made our wedding day the best day ever! PS. These photos I’ve shared were taken by Paige Dunn photography. I am so pleased and happy that I came across Melissa and her team 2 months prior to our wedding and it was a plus she was available for April Fools (our wedding date)! My experience was flawless. Melissa is so nice, responsive, easy going and goes the extra mile to help you out. We live in Vancouver and was unfamiliar with the sunshine coast and she provided us with a lot of suggestions for places to eat, places to stay, etc... The quality of her service and package can't be beat in BC. You can really tell she loves her flowers, cause my flowers were GORGEOUS!!!! And to top it off the photographer and makeup artist she recommended was excellent too! All my friends have been asking which company I used and who the photographer and makeup/hair artist was! I would definitely hire Melissa and her team again for other future events and HIGHLY recommend her.

Elope with Melissa! Or just get married in your backyard, either way, Melissa will create for you the wedding of your dreams. I really did not expect everything to go perfectly, and yet... here we are. Thanks to really very good communication, her years of experience and tremendous skill with planning, Melissa gave us exactly the wedding we imagined. She's so calm and funny... she knew exactly how to handle my curious, snoopy husband who was always trying to sneak a peak at the bride getting ready. Melissa is fun to work with and has an extraordinary team. She is also a very talented florist. Literally everything I imagined and the images culled from Pinterest, she delivered. From the breathtaking bouquet she made that morning, to our amazing commissioner, Cathie Watkins, to champagne and cake, and things we wouldn’t have thought of! Also cannot say enough about how amazing Paige, our photographer, was! We went to Chatterbox Falls for our ceremony, and were some of the first people to go to Marion Lake for more photos, and both locations were breathtaking! We just cannot recommend this team enough! I am so lucky that I was referred to Melissa by the team at Rockwater Resort. I reached out to Melissa as soon as I had confirmed my wedding date, roughly a year before I was married. From the very start she was friendly, prompt with her responses and wanted to understand my vision right away. Even though were were a year out, Melissa wasted no time in getting started on my design plan. We had several meetings via the phone (since I live in Vancouver) and plenty of emails. We finally met in person a few months before the wedding when I got a chance to see one of my centre pieces in person. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Melissa understood my vision and made sure that I got everything that I wanted. I even made some changes with only weeks to go, and she made them happen. I couldn't have done this process without Melissa. From the day I contacted her to the very end of my wedding, she was truly a pleasure to deal with. My wedding day went exactly as planned, she was the one who ran the show and it was perfect. She made my wedding design dreams come true and it was exactly as I had pictured it. She is amazing to deal with and I am so lucky that I got to work with such an amazing planner. Thank you so much Melissa, I couldn't have done it without you!

This past October, we headed out to the Sunshine Coast of B.C. to elope. Melissa put together an amazing ceremony that went far beyond our expectations! She made our day so beautiful words can’t explain how impressed we were. The floral arrangements were out of this world!
