This review is for Blue Petal Weddings, specifically the owner Pam. Our situation regarding her services is a bit unusual- we were not able to actually use her destination wedding planning services as we had previously planned due to COVID but we still wanted to offer a testament to our positive experience with her. When we contemplated planning a destination wedding we originally wanted to go with a different company from the East Coast because they seemed more experienced and competitive. We booked a trip to Mexico for a resort site visit via that company. Our experience with that company wasn’t the greatest. Although the owner was very professional there was a lack of communication regarding important booking details and things didn’t get finalized until the very last minute before our departure, causing unecessry stress. We were also promised a proper site visit that would entail meetings with the decorator, cake tasting, food tasting, etc. This did not happen, and the company’s owner was also unable to meet with us at the resort due to other circumstances. This was disappointing since we booked the trip around their availability. That is when we noticed Pam from Blue Petal weddings was also staying at the same resort as us while attending to another couple’s wedding. We coordinated a meeting and she was surprised to learn that the other destination planner had not booked us a few nights at multiple resorts in order to get a feel for the different atmospheres as Pam usually does with her couples. We hadn’t even thought of this and regretted doing our site visit from the previous company. From the first meeting she was kind, professional, and understood the type of resort we wanted to go with rather than pushing her own personal agenda. She was patient when I was being indecisive and was always willing to check in with us. When COVID hit, we let Pam know that we would be unable to use her services since we were not going to go through with the destination wedding due to the uncertainty of travel even for 2021. We requested our deposit back to which she happily obliged. It’s apparent she takes the ethics of business seriously and is a wedding vendor that’s valuable and sincere. I’m saddened we were not able to use her services since she really knows what’s she’s doing and has many years of experience under her belt. Hopefully future circumstances are different and once they are I will definitely recommend her to anyone needing travel and wedding planning services.

Hiring Blue Petal Weddings (BPW) was one of the best decisions we made for our South Asian destination wedding in Cancun, MX. Our wedding planner, Sheema, was a godsend -- always patient, thorough, and understanding. No matter the time of day, she would reply to emails and messages. Over the course of the year, she became more than our wedding planner, she became a friend. Pam, the owner of BPW, handled logistics. She made sure that every guest had a shuttle to / from the airport and that as much as possible, VIPs were located near one another at the resort. For instance, she made sure our photographer and videographer were near our rooms so they didn’t have to travel far with their equipment, especially on days that started before sunrise (!!). On the ground, the BPW team went above and beyond. The night before our wedding, we were informed that our beachside venue might be rained out. Sheema was messaging me backup venue options until well past midnight, because she knew how important it was for me to have a wedding location that fit a particular aesthetic and complemented the decor. She ultimately secured a terrace overlooking the ocean, and it was absolutely perfect!! The BPW team is incredible and they genuinely care. They love what they do and want to make sure that their clients truly have a once in a lifetime weekend. Let me make this easy for you - if you’re planning a destination wedding, booking BPW is a must. You won't regret it.

I first experienced Pam's great service when I was a guest at a friends destination wedding in Mexico the year before. She was very pleased to assist with any questions and during the booking process and the whole process was a breeze especially since I'm located across the country from her office. The resort, wedding, the whole experience was fantastic. Fast forward one year and when I was looking at wedding options with my wife, it was an easy decision to use Pam's services once again. We chose Jamaica as our destination, and once again Pam did not fail to deliver. It was a pleasure to speak to her during the process. Located in Vancouver she was able to accommodate over 30 guests from both Toronto and Montreal. She was even able to get a booking extension for one of the guests!! Overall, everything was perfect. Once again we are currently booking another vacation with Pam. Can't wait to experience where Pam sends us in the future years to come.

Pam has been my travel agent for the last 25 years. We had our babies together. She has sent me to some pretty amazing places. She planned my brothers destination wedding for 45 people in Mexico. It all went perfectly. Yesterday after finding a crazy last minute deal. I called Pam. Not only was she able to book me and my boyfriend but she was able to get 5 other tickets for our family members at the same price!!! They were sold out!! I get a text a 12:05 AM. " Are you awake?" " call me" so I called and she worked on this until 1 AM !! and then at 6 AM another text. " Im going to make this happen!! " Well she did!! and If anyone can do it. Pam can!! Thanks again Pam for years of wonderful service !

I was a guest at one of the weddings being organized by blue petals. Overall they did a good job. They were organized and seem to know about the business. My issue is with the wedding coordinator named Sheema. She was very obnoxious and “seemed to know it all”. If you are looking for unprofessional women who will flirt with your husbands or boyfriends or significant others then go ahead and book blue petals. Pam was alright. But Sheema was all over my husband ( ex husband now). She carried on this phone flirting and who knows what else went on with her and my ex. I am not trying to be sour about this situation. But people should be aware of the “professionals” they’re hiring. I will not recommend dealing with Sheema to anyone. This woman is apparently married herself as she puts a ring on her finger. But she will get wasted and be all over your men during the parties. Very unprofessional. My marriage is obviously over for this and other reasons. But I do not want anyone else to go through what I went through. Hire another professional company that will only focus on the work.

Pam was helpful and understanding of our changing needs. Easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. She provided us with a lot of information and gave excellent planning tips. We had a last minute change in plans and she was able to make the process seamless and was very supportive!

Before going through this review, please note, the actual wedding at the destination was AMAZING. Moon Palace Cancun did a great job to ensure our events and stay were truly memorable. That said Blue Petal was horrible at their job of arranging the travel and accommodations. First, they took an unprofessionally long time to respond to questions via email and voicemail by the guests. Secondly, they accidentally placed a note on the flight itinerary of all guests that made it so guests were unable to check-in early for their flight and had to wait at the airport while Air Transat sorted through Blue Petal's mess. Once it was sorted out, Air Transat lined all of our guests to check-in separately so we would not miss our flight. Thank you Air Transat! Third, we requested with Blue Petal that all the guests rooms be together. They were not. By this time we felt 'why did we book through Blue Petal?' 'What did they do that we could not have done ourselves???' 'Are they even professionals?' Fourth, for the flight back home, the bride and groom went early to the airport to make sure the same issue that happened on our flight to the destination did not occur again. Happy Honeymoon guys! Fifth, on our flight back, the airline started charging guests for their luggage. We were to have one free check-in like before, however, this was another miscommunication on part of Blue Petal. Don't book through them. You can do a better job yourself.

Blue Petal was amazing at helping us fulfill our dream of having a destination wedding. Pam coordinated the travel of our 100+ guests from Canada and Europe and found us a really good package for them. She also upgraded us on the flight as the bride and groom and arranged an unbelievable upgraded honeymoon suite after the week of wedding festivities, which was really appreciated. I don't know how we would have coordinated all our guests without her help! She was patient and took the stress out of dealing with the airline and hotel and managed our guests' last minute changes allowing us to concentrate on being a bride and groom. Even when we wanted to change our return flight, Pam was available to us and sorted it all out so we could spend extra time relaxing! Sheema was quite literally a godsend, she was professional and understanding of all our requests and helped us realize our vision of a beautiful wedding. She was extremely knowledgeable about the vendors available to us at the destination and arranged everything easily. Having her there for our wedding week and numerous events was an immense weight off of not only mine and my husband's shoulders but our parents' too. They were able to enjoy the wedding while she handled everything in the background and they continue to praise her to this day. It was like having a family member to guide us, she is so sweet and genuine I am so glad to have had her with me during my wedding week and the planning process. We would highly recommend Blue Petal to anyone considering a destination wedding.

I don't know who would hire them after seeing these reviews. I called them 4 times to book an appointment for a consultation and no one ever called me back. The receptionist would take my name and number down and would tell me that someone will call me back. I have never received a call back. So I guess that says something about their customer service.

My husband and I decided to get married in the beginning of April 2019 but didn’t decide this until February 2019. He has always wanted a destination wedding so we started contacting people online to see what we could figure out in such short notice. No one could really help us out and we figured we wouldn’t be able to plan such a big event in such short time in a different country. Our wedding was beautiful, everything is what we asked for and us and all of our guest were super happy with everything. They picked an amazing resort for us and dealt with all of our picky needs and made this all happen within just a couple of months. The resort she picked for us, Dreams Riveria Cancun Mexico, was absolutely amazing! From the food, rooms, cleanliness of the hotel,friendliness of the staff and the beautiful wedding they held for us there, everything was excellent. She also has an amazing team of videographer and photographers she works alongside with, that were amazing people to work with, Vivid Dreams photography- team Danny and Manny, they were super friendly and funny and put up with us in the scourching heat!. We used Blue Petal Weddings for our destination wedding in cancun mexico. We had an amazing experience with Pam and Kiran. I could not be happier with how our wedding turned out. As I lived in Canada and my husband lived in the UK, we had to put all our trust into the Blue Petal Team. Everything from the venue, food, vendors, decorations etc. And I was not disappointed! Seeing each event was such a surprise for us, just at much as it was for the rest of the family that came. They made the process easy and stress free. (As stress free as a wedding can be!) and after all the wedding festivities were completed, they helped us plan a relaxing honeymoon. We planned our wedding in Cancun all the way from London with great ease thanks to everyone associated with blue petals. From our first conversation with Pam there was a great understanding of what we had hoped for with our wedding and everything was done to help us acheive this. We were guided through the event planning with us in London-and Pam in Canada and had no problems. We had full control over all aspects from choosing venues, decor, menus etc with always the best advice. Pam made time for endless Skype conversations, whenever we needed her we could just call over the smallest query. In addition we were always in contact sending emails back and forth over the course of the year. From arriving in Cancun we were instantly taken care of by the blue petals team. We were met with Sheema who we had also been in touch with leading up to the wedding. She was the main planner on hand thoughout our wedding week and having her by our side running all the events was priceless. Our wedding party were greeted outside the hotel and from arrival to leaving she was there sorting out anything we needed. We were so impressed with how organised every event was and did not feel let down at any point with blue petals. The contacts linked to this company were all professional and did a great job-photographers/entertainment/caterer/make up artists etc. Sheema was the most amazing wedding planner, she really kept things on course with timings, interacted so well with all guests and kept us calm at any stressful moments! We had a lot of anxiety having planned the wedding from abroad and were worried that things would not be true to what we were promised when we finally got there. In actual fact what we had arranged exceeded our expectations and we were so overwhelmed with the great service we got from this company and all of the hotel staff. We had Blue Petal for our destination wedding at Beach Palace, Cancun. They did an amazing job organizing the travel, accommodation and all 4 wedding events. We were upgraded to the best suites in the hotel and had a smooth check in at the airport as well as at the hotel. When we got to Mexico, Pam and Amar were there to greet us and ensure that the check in process went smoothly. For all the events we had, we were able to show them our vision of what we wanted at each event and they made it happen. The coordination at all the events blew our expectations! I recently came back from a destination wedding in Mexico. My experience from the beginning wasn’t good but I still managed to go and enjoy the wedding. I emailed Pam and received no reply so I called to speak to her but when I spoke to her, she insisted I emailed and I explained I received no reply. She was very rude, sounded confused, and wasn’t concentrating on what I was saying and basically didn’t want to help me. I left it for a few months but then my family helped me and got me in touch with Sonia. Sonia was very friendly, helpful and answered all my questions efficiently. She always got back to me on a timely manner. The wedding itself was amazing. The resort, venues and organization was really something to remember. There was a lady there who was really friendly too (don’t know her name) Anyone wanting a destination wedding, I truly recommend it but be cautious when dealing with Pam. The only reason I didn’t score 5* is because of how she was with me.

Our resort at Moon Palace was an excellent choice and exactly what we wanted. Blue Petal and Sheema the wedding planner all paid attention to every detail we had for our trip and wedding planning. Glad Sheema was with us in Cancun. Travel and accommodation was organized smoothly. The receptionist was very friendly and kind and made us feel very comfortable. My wedding group was over 100 guests and they gave us a lot of benefits that helped me and my hubby's wedding budget. Overall it was great. I would recommend Blue Petal.
