A great event hall for my nieces country wedding

I can't say enough good things about this venue, it's beautiful, we'll run and Jamie made sure we had everything we needed to pull off a successful event. Our event was small and last minute (Covid-19 restrictions) but all my family felt very safe and comfortable. Don't take my word for it, set up an appointment to see the place yourself.

We went for an elf trivia night. They ran out of dishes. They're serving size were not consistent. some people got a big serving some people got a very small serving for the same price and the same order. Our party ate at all different times because the food could not come out at the same time over the two hour. Even though the order was placed at the same time. Our table even had to share utensils because there wasn't enough. Luckily because we got one persons order at a time it was easy to share the same fork with six people.

Pretty good space. The space is a little bit small but has a sort of rustic aura to it. The lighting is a little bit dim but other than that it's a great event venue. The washrooms are cleans there. The only problem I had there was that there were small nails sticking out of some of the walls, creating a safety hazard.

Everything about this place is incredible - high, exposed ceilings, exposed brick & beam construction, lots of open space, delicious food, and a super passionate and active owner! Believe it or not, the building actually used to be an old rope factory; at one point it was one of the largest in the British Empire. I really recommend this space for anyone planning an event with a mix of rustic and polished elements.

Wow! Was here over the weekend for a wedding and what a venue! Totally tucked away through a beautiful little hidden alley! The staff here are lovely and the entire place was simply impressive

Such a great venue! The venue itself is so gorgeous. So much character inside and out. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Accommodated my food allergy and even double checked to make sure I wouldn't have any issues. Food was outstanding! Had to get seconds because it was just that delicious. Can have a large event or small. They can accommodate so much in this place. Price I bang on as well!

The team put together some creative ideas, and really heard what we wanted and kept out theme in mind the whole time. The beauty and uniqueness of the venue will be talked about for years to come. Had an issue where I was double charged for an order that I placed. Mistakes happen, but when I spoke with Jamie the owner, he handled the issue right away and made sure that I was taken care of. Because of the customer service that I experienced here, I will be back again, and I highly recommend trying out the food here. The food tasted great, can definitely classify the mac n cheese as gourmet. I tried the Karen mac n cheese. If you like a bit of kick, this one tastes great! Overall I had a great experience, and I wouldn't think twice about ordering food here!

Amazing experience working with Jamie at the Rope Factory Event Hall. The space is gorgeous and unique and no stone is left uncovered for a great event. I really liked the alley way and event space for pictures and a place to gather as well as the atmosphere inside and out. Successful event! Jamie's range of events is excellent too from private events to big names to interesting public events you'll want to look at their schedule when not there for a wedding!

The Spool Takeout that Jamie is doing out of the Rope Factory is great. Thursday and Friday meals are a must here. The specialty meals are delicious.

Tried to order some food from here for my birthday because I heard great things about it. Unfortunately they are closed 4 days of the week... It also doesn't help that their website doesn't list the hours either... or that when I call it's just the disconnection sound... such a shame.

The Rope Factory was at the top of our list of venues to visit for our wedding once we were engaged and after seeing the place and meeting with Jamie it was a no brainer! We booked it! The place is absolutely stunning and the way this space can transform is truly magical. It was perfect for our spooky devils night/alternative wedding. On top of that, dealing Jamie was a great experience. He is super friendly, super helpful, communicated with us throughout and answered our many questions, and truly cared about helping us make our dream wedding come true in his space. Everything went perfectly and we are so grateful!! We definitely recommend partnering with Jamie at the Rope Factory for any events! Best day of our lives :)

When COVID restrictions meant we could no longer host a university graduation celebration for our son, my husband reached out to The Rope Factory to see if they could help. This afternoon we held a wonderful reception in the most welcoming space. The decor and vibe are warm and welcoming with super cool rustic touches. All COVID protocols were in place making our guests feel safe. If you are looking to host an event I strongly encourage you to check out The Rope Factory. Spool has the most awesome poutine and mac an cheese ever? Coming soon to a food truck near you! If you can't get a reservation, get take out, or skip the dishes. The event hall looks fantastic as well, but you have to wait for covid restrictions to let up before it can be booked

True Review

Extremely disappointing and underwhelming! Maybe it was a bad day for them but we tried to support a local business during these times and received poor quality food and execution - we could have received much better food from other local restaurants. We picked up our order at the time provided it would be ready and it was cold and soggy. The mac and cheese had bare noodles that were mushy, as well as hardly any cheese elsewhere in the dish - the chicken and slaw topping was small and had hardly any flavour. The poutine had no cheese curds but some shredded cheddar cheese that was unmelted on top of cold and soggy fries - the whole dish was supposed to have heat but tasted grossly sweet instead. Darn - glad other people had a good experience though.

I cannot say enough about this venue. It is absolutely astounding. Jamie and his wife provide excellent service that leaves you very at ease about your big day. The place itself has been just beautifully done up you really dont need to add to much decoration because it's just that gorgeous. Jamie personally attends your event to make sure there are no hiccups on their end and just the service alone makes it worth it. Great priced packages great bar employees 5 stars all around
