I found True Mate Weddings online because I couldn’t manage to pull together a wedding on my own. When I met Gael, she made me feel so comfortable handing off most of the decision-making. Which is hard for me because I’m a control freak. She pulled me in when needed, but took the reins and made a lot of decisions without involving me. Every decision she made was exactly what I envisioned for our special day. She really hit he nail on the head. The day of our wedding, there were a number of issues that came up. Unbeknownst to Gael and I, the caterer we chose made numerous changes that would have completely thrown off the day. Gael jumped in and took action, hiding most of it from me so I wouldn’t stress. She turned a disaster waiting to happen into an amazing party. If it weren’t for the hard work and dedication of Gael and her team, our wedding day would have been ruined. Gael’s attention to detail and care for her clients is outstanding. I highly recommend Gael for any party planning as she knows what she’s doing and can do it better than most. So glad I chose her.

We hired Gael as our month of coordinator. We had most of the stuff planned but needed help with the final details as well as the day of. She helped coordinate the rehearsal so everyone was on point. And was very flexible when we needed to meet and go over things. When she set up our personal decor is was amazing! Exactly how I envisioned it and for that I was thankful. Her assistant on the day of was also great..and for a venue neither one had worked at before you couldn't even tell. They worked well with all of the other vendors and kept everything running smoothly! She even serenaded a song for us which was an unexpected bonus! Highly recommend her services.

Gael Lobban of True Mate Weddings is every MOTB best-kept secret! From, the bride needs a safety pin to pre-arranged taxis for our guests. We had nothing to worry about; every aspect of attending to the Bride and Groom and their guests could not have been in better hands. Having these guys for my wedding was the best decision i could have made. I was always so skeptical about wedding planners, but when i found out i could do a month of i was completely on board. Gael worked with us every step of the way, and made sure that we had a timeline that worked and flowed seamlessly. On the day of we had her amazing assistants Rebecca and ( other name has passed my mind ) coordinating and setting everything up. She was our best friend until the end of the night, and i couldn’t have asked for a better set of ladies for our special day. I was stress free, and loved every second of it. Gael did the day-of coordination for our wedding in June and we are SO happy we chose her! I didn't have to worry or think about anything on the day... Gael had everything under control and made it stress free for me (every Brides dream!). She set up the signs for the ceremony exactly where I wanted them (We got married in a forest) and set up the ceremony with the cross perfectly. She showed up early to help organize the morning of and stayed throughout the reception, helping us with our entrances and making sure everything went smoothly. The welcome table and decor was also set up beautifully, she has a great eye for styling ???????? I would definitely recommend her to any bride looking for a wedding planner. (She also makes amazing vegan cupcakes and provided them for our wedding too!). Thank you Gael & Calder for making our day perfect!!

My now husband and I used Gaels services for our month of coordination but also for florals, decor and also for our cake/cupcakes. From the first meeting Gael was so easy to talk to and provided me with so many different ideas as well as guidance. Despite having to reschedule our date three times due to covid, Gael was so flexible and took so much stress away from us. The timeline Gael created was so detailed and easy to follow and I knew right away that our wedding was going to run smoothly. On the day of Gael and her assistant Lia made our ceremony and reception space look absolutely incredible and everything went on as planned. We were both able just to focus on enjoying the day with our friends and family and I could not have imagined our wedding going any better. I would 150% recommend using Gael for any wedding planning/ coordinating and am so grateful to her and her team.

Gael was amazing to work with for my wedding on Aug 23, 2019. I am very type A and super organized and she was so easy to work with, helped to pull pieces together that, despite all of my research, I hadn't even thought of. She honestly saw through every step, every detail of my wedding as if it was her own. She was so easy to talk to and very thorough leading up to attend certain milestones and maintain a high level of communication and openness to ensure we were all on the same page. Her commitment to have to my dream wedding come to life blew me away. You don't feel like a number working with her, you feel like a close friend. Thank you Gael and Shanelle for helping us with our wedding! Gael and Shanelle did a seamless job helping us plan our wedding last Aug 17th. Our first meeting with Gael was an eye opener that we really needed their help! She's organized, calm under pressure and creative. She's passionate at what she does and we think that's really important. Gael and Shanelle also did the decorations for our venue. They listened to the vision we had and we were amazed at how beautiful they made the venue looked. They even did a revision of our intended style and made it look 10x better! We couldn't ask for a better wedding coordinator than Gael and Shanelle! Planning a wedding is overwhelming but they made it so easy for us. They took off the pressure from us when it comes to handling the vendors. For those looking for a day-of wedding coordinator or a wedding planner, we definitely recommend them!

Gael exceeded my expectations. I had absolutely no clue how much went into planning and properly executing a wedding, I thought I had everything ready to go and organized and she completely blew my mind (in the best way). I went from thinking I didn't need a coordinator to "what would I have done without one". From the first time we spoke on the phone I knew she was the one! We clicked instantly, and it was like talking to a friend I've known forever. Her attention to all the small details that the average person would never think of are amazing! I kept saying throughout the process that I literally don't know what I would have done without her, especially because we were planning our wedding from across the country. The day went absolutely perfect, and any little hiccups along the way she dealt with such professionalism and made sure it didn't cause any stress on me. Gael and Bri went above and beyond at our wedding this September. Our decorations looked amazing, and we didn't have to fret or coordinate with any of our vendors. Small touches like bringing is water while we were taking photos really helped us enjoy our day. We also had 2 guests fall and require an ambulance at different points in the evening. Gael went above and beyond adjusting the itinerary and communicating with our vendors. We barely felt the interruptions, and I am so thankful to have had her there that night. Totally worth every penny to hire True Mate Weddings!

I did not know anyone from Floral & Decor so I went to a wedding show in Mississauga and I meet Gael there. Since our first talk, I liked her, so I book a meeting and ever since I knew I did the right choice choosing her to be in charge of the Floral and Decor plus coordinating my wedding. She is very talented and I did not have to worry about anything, just choosing what I wanted for my wedding. She was very patient showing options and what would look best. And with this pandemic, she came with solutions for decor that could fit with our budget. I definitely recommend her to anyone that is planning an event/wedding.
