It's such a beautiful place enriched with indigenous history and culture.

Nice trails to walk. The valley is nearby Saskatchewan River. It is very unique in flat area of Saskatoon. Unfortunately, I didn't see the bison in my trip, so I don't rate the 5 star for this measum. You may update the reviews for this site.

We just wanted to go for a walk, we paid $5.00 to park and they wanted $10.00 each for seniors to get in! Maybe on a nice summer day when we could spend a few hours there, but it was a cool fall day!!

Excellent visitor experience! They are covid conscious when entering, with masks, distancing and contact tracing. Once you get out on the trails, lots of space to walk alone. There are lots of snowshoes, free to borrow, for a fun adventure. But the trails are well packed and easy to walk in normal footwear. Even on a windy day, the lower trails in the valley are sheltered and pleasant, and the high lookouts provide gorgeous river views. Today even offered an eagle flying by, on January 2! And I haven't even begun to mention the rich First Nations history, culture, and archaeology of this place, or the amazing restaurant or gift shop.

A great place to learn about the People that lived here before we settlers did. A great place to see beautiful aboriginal artwork, culture, food and people. Well worth the drive! It's a beautiful place all year round but especially in the autumn months. I always love returning to this place.

Had a great visit, enjoyed to hoop dancing & the hiking trails are splendid????

Randy Robert

Excellent knowledgeable staff and personnel, learned alot on indigenous Prarie cultures and traditions. Great that they brought the Bison back to the plains and staff showed they really enjoy what they do and believe in the preservation of Wanuskewin

Located just a few minutes north of Saskatoon is the perfect place to learn about the people who lived (and continue to live) in balance with what the land had to offer. Literally meaning "to be at peace with oneself", Wanuskewin is home to archeological discoveries from more than 6000 years ago. The museum is beautiful and very interactive. And if you're more of an outdoors individual, then you can go hiking around the valley and explore (with snow shoes for rent included with the admission price).

Very interesting tour. We had a personal tour with Bailey very informative. Will visit again when we have more time. Gift shop need more hand made local items not made in .....A live dig like head smash in would be so cool, so many people there were very interested in the dig and the process. A must see if you are in Saskatoon.

Beautiful day to honor National Truth and Reconciliation Day by walking the trails at Wanuskewin Heritage Park. Thank you.

This place has great walking trails with information and site about indigenous people. There is paid parking and an area where you get a chance to see the bison grazing from afar. Great place to take the kids to learn about indigenous history. There is a small museum with paintings and artifacts and also a gift shop. Overall and excellent place to take walks with family.

I enjoyed the ethno-biology talk and walk with Sandra Walker. Very informative. We also enjoyed spotting the bison and the demonstration of fancy dance. We had the bison burger for lunch. Tasty in deed!

Robert Lundin

Great place for kids.

Had a great time here, arrived with a group of 6 visiting from Ontario. Started off with 2pm dance, I've forgotten the dancers name but he was amazing and great with kids. The tour with Bailey was excellent, she's very knowledgeable and engaging, the museum is fascinating and beautiful inside. The restaurant at Wanuskewin was sooo goood, I ordered the Falafel burger with fries. Big portions and decently priced I'm already planning my next trip back.

A wonderful place to spend an afternoon alone or with family - there are art exhibits, playgrounds, trails, history, & wildlife.

If you're looking for a great place to learn meet and reflect this is an ideal location. The meeting rooms are phenomenal and have great lighting and acoustics.

The new renovations are fantastic! The indoor displays are quite impactful, the Restaurant is delicious as always and the trails were lovely. In terms of guided public programs they could be a bit more polished.

Really well presented, beautiful paths to stroll through. The Buffalo were cool to see.

This was a nice experience. The daily programming (walks and dance) added to the experience. It was fairly small though. There is a very nice children’s park outside as well and plenty of trails when the weather is good.

Cycled out there on the Trans Canada Trail/ The Great Trail from the University of Saskatchewan. Was a beautiful 1 hour long cycle. The park is beautiful and has some interesting sights. The rubbing stone was my favourite. Food was more expensive then I was expecting but was adequate for the price, location and ingredients.

Meagan Kelly

Beautiful scenery a great trail and good food at the restaurant.

Simon Handley

It was a wonderful mix of history, and culture. The location is amazing and the walking trails are beautiful, allowing one to enjoy nature's beauty while learning about 5000 years of local history. The Jingle dancer accompanied by a drummer and sings was the perfect end to our visit. Highly recommended.

Was a very cool tour. Live bison and just a beautiful walk. Good time of year to go. Cool kids playing apparatus. Have to pay to park though.

Leonard Beth Gray

Fantastic museum with great exhibits and plenty of trails to explore. Stories and exhibits come to life with some great technology and sensors. The grounds are wonderful and there is a huge play structure outside for kids that's unlike any play structure I'd seen before.

Deb Pryslak

Nice place to visit with museum, trails and playground. Very beautiful in the fall.

Wanuskewin is a great place to visit for young and old alike. All buildings and some trails are wheel chair accessible. The main facility includes learning facilities, a cafe, clean, accessible washrooms, performance areas and high quality displays. The gift shop is worth visiting. Outdoors, children will enjoy a well-outfitted playground and sometimes, the opportunity to see many bison at close distance (not guaranteed). A variety of informative tours are well worth taking and are at no additional charge to the modest entrance fee. Parking fees are reasonable.

Shaheera M

Enjoyed my visits years ago. Great history, trails for a memorable experience.

Taras Drebot

Amazing beautiful place. I was here 4 years ago and enjoyed the hike and the peacefulness. This year there are so many beautiful renovations to the buildings and the addition of a Buffalo herd. A must see in my eyes

Randy Roesler

Lovely area! We saw some breathtaking views on the hiking trail... my group came around opening time when the sun had just come up. There were dozens of mule deer, beautiful hoarfrost on all the trees and bush, and fog all along the river. We spent most time outdoors but the museum part is well done and neat to explore as well.

Great historic site with great hiking trails. The center is not very informative or exciting

Carolyn L

A very nice lodge with an interesting permanent exhibit with will probably take 30 to 60 minutes to read/look through. Also two art galleries with changing content. The day we went there was some tapestries with native and modern images. The second room had a long linen bolt of cloth with the report on reconciliation printed on it with some native imagery as back ground. Outside is 1/2 hr to 3 hours of trails. Nice walks with some placards. And there is a small bison herd. 25 animals I think. You can't get too close but you probably can see them clearly as they move around the property. I would not say this is a must see attraction, but a good way to spend an afternoon.

Adrien Duquette

This is a must see. Spiritual as well as informative. If your planning on going plan for a full day lots to see and do. Restaurant on site good food. Gift shop on site. Bison ???? in field .

Josh Doerksen

Kids friendly interactive learning , very clean and covid safe????????

H. Steven Coote

Great and extremely important initiative that falls short by telling very little, so sorry to say. The exhibition about history and artifacts was minimal, a few show cases. The film was even thinner and missed the opportunity to tell and …

Charlene Wowchuk

The kids loved the Park. Lots of amazing trails. Great tour guide (school field trip) the kids really enjoyed the Tipi and seeing how it was built. We were lucky and the Buffalo were close by for us to see

It’s tricky to review this place. On some levels it’s 5 stars. On others, less so. As a place to wander in gentle prairie hikes it’s an oasis. Sitting a few meters from bison and watching them graze was a delightful experience. The art gallery though lacks enough information to appreciate the interesting art in display. Before visiting I hadn’t realized there was a performance, so I missed what looked like an interesting and informative presentation. Before going, I’d suggest to check the schedule and plan your trip accordingly. The gift shop in downtown Saskatoon was more complete than at this site, and a visit there should definitely be part of your experience of this venue.

Could spend hours, even days here. Calm, relaxing. Displays are so meticulous and so well done. Can actually feel the Indigenous connection to this place. The food in the restaurant is very good....ok..amazing! Something for everyone and you cannot go away hungry.

Paul Daoust

Enjoyed their wild rice burger and plant tour. Bit of money for only the two hours that I spent there including parking fee so likely better value if you plan on spending a good part of the day there.
