He was an excellent addition to our entertainment team and it was wonderful not to worry about having to micromanage the music or any of the AV, as we were in the hands of a real professional. Trystan was engaged throughout all of the program and played music that followed suit to the speeches – highlight was Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun! He played all of our pre-requested songs layered in at times when the dance floor was filled with the appropriate age group and was great at reading the crowd. It may have been helpful to have a call beforehand to ensure we had the correct versions of our ceremony songs, and to discuss timing/length of the songs, but an excellent DJ that we would recommend to anyone!

I would highly recommend Armed with Harmony DJ company for any event. We unfortunately cancelled our large wedding event after rebooking 3 times due to the pandemic. What could have been a very high stress situation, ended up being very easy and stress free all thanks to Tristan and his team. They were very understanding every time I had to rebook and guaranteed a full refund of my deposit if I ended up canceling. They kept their work after 2 years and gave me a full refund of my deposit. I can only imagine how hard this could be for a company to be handing out money back to people during these already hard times, but they did it without hesitation. AMAZING! My husband and I hired Armed with Harmony (AWH) to do the music at our New Year's Eve wedding, and they absolutely blew us, and our guests, away. Prior to booking AWH, we had not heard anything about them. However, after my first meeting with DJ Haywire (Chris Lawrie), I was instantly impressed and excited! Chris and Trysten (DJ Anchor) made the effort to meet with me twice before the big day, to make sure we had the time line/expectations for the DJ well outlined. I was thrilled with their level of organization, knowledge of music, passion for the ensuring top quality service, and open-mindedness!! The day of our wedding, my friend/event planner commented on how organized and on-top of things, Chris Lawrie appeared. As he was setting up, he reviewed the timeline with the wedding planner. Then, throughout the night, Chris actually announced reminders over the speaker of the cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. HOWEVER, what most impressed me, wedding planner, and our parents, was the fact that Chris went out of his way to find my groom and I to get us on the floor for the garter toss, etc.! We also had a band at the wedding. Since the wedding (3 weeks ago), I have had people go out of their way to comment on the DJ! He made the transition between the band and DJ sound flawless. He played appropriate music to meet the needs/wants of the crowd, and kept the dance floor PACKED all night!! He was willing to take requests from our guests, and even moved some equipment to help my photographer capture the moments! I had requested specific music to be played during cocktail hour. Chris listened to my ideas, and expanded on them, to truly set the tone for the party!! Again, you won't go wrong with hiring AWH! They are professional, knowledgeable, efficient, organized, and OUTSTANDING to work with!!! This rating is not based off of what it was like working with Armed with Harmony, instead, because of their lack of communication, I was unable to hire them and thus the poor rating. My fiance and I met with Armed early in October to discuss possibly hiring them as our DJ for our wedding. We explained we needed some time to meet with other DJs to find what was best for us, but we would have an answer for them by the end of the month. On October 23rd I emailed them back informing them I would like to hire them and to please email me the contract, but they never responded. A few days later, on the 27th, I phoned Trystan and left a voice mail checking if he did in fact receive the email. He phoned me back later that day to tell me that he did see the email, but he has been too busy getting things ready for Halloween that he could not respond. I found this odd since sending me an email telling me exactly that would have saved us both time in the long run, but everyone is different. He then told me that he would get back to me after Halloween.. By November 8th I still did not hear back from them. I, once again, phoned and left a voice message saying saying that I know they have been busy, but if they could please email me the paperwork or phone me back it would be appreciated. I still have not heard back from them and I have already found and hired a new DJ.

I used Armed with Harmony for my wedding at Crossmount this weekend. I spoke with Nick and he was very thorough when we did the details meeting. Through out the night he was there to remind me when the next event in the timeline was coming up, which is extremely helpful to a busy bride catching up with guests and no clock! He did exactly as I requested with the music and our dance floor was never empty the entire night. My brother upgraded us to the "dancing on the cloud" for our first dance and we received so many compliments on it. If you are booking it might be something to think about adding on, the pictures I have already got from guests are unbelievable! Honestly a DJ wasn't on my high importance list initially when booking vendors for our wedding, but I am so glad we got one because the party didn't stop until the lights turned on and Armed with Harmony was definitely why!

I have worked with Armed with Harmony numerous times, with numerous different events of all sorts- and every single time we have worked with Armed with Harmony - they knock it out of the park. The owner is super friendly, easy to talk to and discuss things with, extremely professional, makes everything run smoothly, you never have any worries or hassles about what's going on and he is great to work with during the entire process from consultation, to booking, to the completion of the event. He goes Above and Beyond, and always out of his way to follow up afterwards to check in. All the staff are friendly, professional, and reliable. The one thing that STOOD out for us with working with Armed with Harmony was how easy they were to get a hold of, and how quick they were at responding to things like questions we had, or something we wanted to discuss with the event- we had responses within minutes. Most recently, we were looking to rent some equipment and Trystan answered all our questions in regards to speakers and lights- and then he went above and beyond to help us out with equipment rental. He got us equipped with everything we needed - not to mention on very short notice, and drove out of his way to come and set it all up for us in the most safe manner possible. If you are looking for a company to go with, and you've come across Armed with Harmony- you have made the right decision.

After booking with them I was given access to an online site to customize my choices and I was given reminders and a phone call ahead of time to make sure I had everything I wanted in there.
