Lauren and her team made my wedding morning, day, and night so seamless and stress-free! Even if stress was a part of the day, I had zero idea and that just helps so much when being able to enjoy every minute of the day. Every time I had a question, Lauren or Shandi were right there and it seemed like there were 10 of them there the day of. The flow of the day was amazing and I just cant get over how perfect it was. My husband and I were engaged in 2019 and had set our date to get married August 2021. When the pandemic rolled in, we waited as long as possible before making any changes or final decisions as to what we would do in terms of our wedding plans. At about three months out, we decided to go forward with our wedding date, but due to restrictions, we needed to make several big changes to our wedding including ceremony, venue, guest list, food, etc. After recommendations from a friend, we decided to book Twelfth Night Events to help us in completely replanning our wedding day. We didn’t know the first thing about planning an outdoor wedding during a pandemic. But I remember after our first meeting with Lauren and Shandi, Mark and I literally breathed a sigh of relief and became excited again about our wedding. They assured us that they could make everything we wanted happen. Over the months leading up the wedding, they were professional, understanding, and always made our preferences and interests a priority. They did so much behind the scenes including contacting our vendors, booking rentals, creating a detailed wedding day schedule, and so much more. We are SO happy that we hired Lauren/Twelfth Night Events to help coordinate our wedding at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in London. Although we initially hired her as a Day of Coordinator, we quickly realized how valuable her help was, and switched to a Partial Planning package. Even though a Venue Coordinator was available to us, having someone who was completely invested in making the day perfect specifically for the two of us was invaluable. We initially did not realize how much work planning a wedding is, and that it takes a lot of time, effort, and organization to make the day run smoothly. We felt so much more calm and relaxed on our wedding day knowing that Lauren was behind the scenes actually making sure things got unpacked, set up, and laid out exactly how we pictured. It was also a relief not to be bombarded with questions when unexpected weather or venue problems popped up - Lauren made it clear to all our vendors, family, and friends, that she should be their first contact for problem solving. Showing up to the reception to a beautifully decorated dining room and garden room was amazing, we were so happy with how everything looked, and we didn't have to run around setting up things while trying to get ourselves ready. Lauren helped organize a last minute tent when the weather forecast changed a couple days before the wedding, and made sure the rental company placed the tent exactly where we wanted. She also has design contacts so we were able to get a beautiful greenery backdrop and chandelier for the head table, which we weren't even considering before meeting with her. She also handled a ceiling leak that started part way through the reception, and had our backs when the venue tried to change the seating layout and timeline because of it. She was especially helpful when figuring out the floor plan when we decided on a layout a bit different than what the venue typically suggests. She has inside knowledge of the wedding industry in the London area, and we were confident with the vendors we chose after talking to her. At the end of the night, she helped pack up our personal items and decor before leaving, which made it a lot easier for our family and friends. Our only regret is not hiring Lauren sooner to plan the entire wedding - we would totally trust her to plan our wedding from the start, and would have loved to just give her our vision and let her run with it to escape the stresses of booking a venue and vendors. But I'm glad we came to our senses midway through the planning process and grabbed Lauren while she was still available - she was worth every penny and we will be recommending her to all of our engaged friends and family.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Lauren a few times over the last few years at various events as my brother is in the industry and works closely with Lauren and her team quite often. Needless to say, I have been patiently waiting for the day that we would be able to work together on my own event. We had the pleasure of having Lauren coordinate our wedding last fall and planning a wedding during Covid definitely had its moments of uncertainty and discouragement. With the ever changing rules and restrictions we didn’t really know what was going to happen and if we were even going to be able to move forward with our wedding. Our venue wasn’t even sure if they were going to allow us to move forward with them and made us wait until June for our October wedding before they allowed us to move forward. We had many obstacles to deal with because of the mandated restrictions and Lauren went above and beyond to make sure that our day went as smooth as possible. Due to the constant restriction changes our venue made things very difficult for us leading up to the morning of the wedding and Lauren made us feel very comfortable and reassured us that our day was going to happen exactly how we envisioned it to. Having family members in the industry it was very important to us that we had someone there that we could fully trust and bring the vision to fruition. Lauren went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was taken care of and because of that we were all actually able to enjoy the day knowing that Lauren and her team were there. The morning of the wedding the venue manager informed us that we would not be allowed to have any lit candles without a permit from the fire Marshall. Having known there was going to be candles months in advance, she waiting until the last possible minute to bring this to our attention which would have given anyone a slight panic attack. Needless to say we walked into our wedding to lit candles. The entire day went as smoothly as it could possibly have gone. Lauren made a detailed timeline for us as well as all of our vendors and executed everything better than we could have imagined. Lauren was with us for the entire day checking in to see if we needed anything and making sure we had a complete stress-free day. There were a number of moving parts following the ceremony as we had both our ceremony and reception in the same venue, Lauren and her team delivered more then we could have ever imagined and took all of our stress away so we were able to relax and take in every moment from start to finish. If the thought of ever hiring a wedding planner crosses your mind I strongly encourage you to do it! Hiring Twelfth Night Events will be the best decision you will ever make. I had no idea what goes into planning an event like a wedding prior to hiring Lauren. Luckily, I still don’t completely know what goes into it. What I do know is that my wedding was phenomenal and three months later we are still hearing about how beautiful and well-planned it was from our friends and family (even strangers that have seen our photos on social media). My partner and I had a vision of an ‘enchanted forest’ fairy tale wedding and that’s exactly what Lauren gave us in less than 10 months. For my job, I live in Halifax during the school year while my partner lives in London. When people heard we were planning our wedding, they looked at us in disbelief believing that it would be next to impossible while living so far apart. The wedding, an East Indian 2-day affair, with 300 guests, in Toronto, went off without a hitch. We didn’t have to worry about forgetting any important details because Lauren was on top of it. I like to describe Lauren as a chameleon as she is able to be firm yet professional with vendors which is needed when some are difficult to deal with, she is also able to be firm yet loving with brides like me who need to be told to take a step back and let her handle it. Lauren KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING, she has amazing vendors under her belt, and has a list of vendors bigger then you can imagine. It seemed as though when I needed something unusual like a vintage car or a saxophone and string quartet, she knew the professionals to contact. She is able to book and secure stops and services with vendors for brides. Lauren is detailed and nothing gets passed her, she is also creative and is able to work with decor and create focal points that just make you want to stop and stare and even shed a tear or two. Lauren and her team were extremely professional and provided quality customer service that was worth the money. They earn what they get paid to do. They went above and beyond the call of duty planning our wedding and making sure our wedding day was the most perfect, Lauren attended and made notes during every single vendor meeting, and she communicated with vendors so I didn't have to. I like to think of Lauren as a shield who protects her brides from the messiness that comes with booking vendors and noting the details. I was not stressed nor worried weeks before our wedding because I trusted Lauren and everything was done sooner than later thanks to her. Our wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. Upon my first meeting with Lauren I knew that she was the right wedding planner for us. We hit it off right away and I felt like my non-traditional vision was completely understood. I was immediately impressed by her level of knowledge and organization and we felt completely at ease knowing she was running the show. Lauren is an excellent communicator and was always prompt with her replies- even when it wasn't a pressing matter. My husband and I decided we wanted a backyard wedding before we met with Lauren and she was so supportive and informative every step of the way. She was so thorough in regards to the day of procedure and I never felt worried that the day would be less than perfect. On the day of our wedding Lauren was an absolute superstar. It was 41 degrees Celsius yet she managed to be everywhere at the right time, making sure everything was going smoothly and that I was never without a drink in my hand. I am absolutely confident that our wedding day would not have been nearly as beautiful and easygoing without Lauren there by our side. Lauren planned our wedding of ~500 guests at the London Convention Centre (now RBC Place) without a hitch (well, I guess I got hitched). When my husband and I got engaged, with the excitement also came the stress of having to plan a wedding. I didn’t know what vision/theme I wanted, or what vendors to contact. I began to stress over the enormity of planning the big day and realized this would be too much for me to plan on top of my already busy schedule. Whether you have a 50 person wedding, or a 300 person wedding this is an enormousous event. Lauren was the only option. Throughout our engagement Lauren’s professionalism and attention to detail never wavered, as she came along for meetings with vendors and helped us negotiate pricing, make adjustments to contracts and many more things I’m sure I have no idea about that happened behind the scenes. She suggested vendors that could provide the service and results that we wanted, and didn’t waste our time with vendors that could not. Lauren handled every email and correspondence from every vendor; most brides have overflowing inboxes and phones ringing off the hook. Not me! What I loved most about Lauren during our planning process was that little things that my husband or I mentioned to her that even WE forgot about, Lauren remembered. When our big day finally arrived, we both simply got to be bride and groom, relax and take every moment in. From the beginning we decided we wanted to use a wedding planner and are so happy we choose to work with Lauren and the team at Twelfth Night Events (TNE). We didn’t have a particular vision or venue location in mind, all we knew was the feel we wanted our wedding day to capture. Therefore, we choose to use TNE for a complete planning package. Lauren did all the research for us, found us venue options that met the feel we were looking for, outlined a detailed budget for each potential location and then helped us narrow the list down for site visits, which she also accompanied us on.
