I do not recommend working with Soirée or Andrea Mancini. After postponing the wedding twice owing to Covid, we eventually cancelled because we don't live in Winnipeg anymore. In December, 2020, we cancelled our wedding planned for Aug 7, 2021. Andrea agreed to refund our deposit if she could fill our spot with another wedding. By late June we hadn't heard anything from her and I was getting suspicious. I emailed from another email address asking if she was available to work a wedding on Aug 7, 2021. She said no, that she was not free for any dates in August. I then wrote from my own address asking if she had been able to fill the date with another event and she said that she had not been able to. I called her out on this and we went back and forth over several emails, with her story changing each time. In the end I did not receive my deposit back. I did not find her honest and I suspect she never planned on returning the deposit. I would not recommend her at all.

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with Andrea Mancini. We do not recommend working with her. We felt that she took advantage of the covid circumstances and was dishonest with us. Soiree was hired for our “day of” (as we originally expected to have ~ 300 guests). As a result, there was very little work for Soiree to do beforehand. I planned our entire wedding by myself, and also postponed it twice (and all of my vendors)- due to covid. Because of this, we did not find it unreasonable to ask that our deposit be returned. In the end we had a small event (50 person covid capacity) and cancelled her services (7 months in advance). Andrea said that if she managed to fill our original booking date she would return our deposit. When late June came around, we didn’t hear from her. So, we reached out to her (from another email) asking to book an event on August 7th, 2021 (our original date). She wrote back saying she was fully booked. When we reached out, as ourselves, asking if she managed to book our date, she said no. Therefore, we felt she was dishonest. I do not think that Soiree is the type of company that one should want to deal with when planning their special day.

Andrea and her team of professionals expertly planned and executed on our intimate wedding in Winnipeg. Given we live out of province, we immediately knew we would need the assistance of a full-service event planner and Soiree came highly recommended by every single vendor that we spoke to. We still interviewed five separate firms to be sure we were making the right decision and after proper due diligence, were confident Andrea was the right choice and will be forever grateful that she was available for our date (that changed several times as planning progressed). Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning it from another province during a pandemic with ever-changing restrictions is nearly impossible but Andrea never let an ounce of worry or stress show and consistently went above and beyond. She is a true expert, perfectly informed of evolving government guidelines, has unmatched vendor relationships and passes through preferred pricing. Her attention to detail is unrivaled and she has a natural eye for design which allowed for an entirely cohesive event design - something I have found lacking at many weddings I have attended myself. Coming from someone who is very hard to please and likes to have complete control of things, I put full trust in Andrea and she blew us away. She transformed a private property into a fully functioning venue and our guests are still talking about the level of service and beautiful design weeks after the wedding. It was the best day of our lives - from a couple that never wanted a wedding - and that is entirely thanks to the team at Soiree - Andrea, Adrianna, and Michelle. If you are considering a wedding, a wedding planner is the best investment you can make and I can assure you the service pays for itself many times over. If you are considering an outdoor wedding on a private property, you absolutely need a planner - don't think twice. And if you want the absolute best we have ever experienced (we have used many planners at home in Toronto as well as in Vancouver and Montreal for personal and client events), stop everything and hire Soiree immediately before your date is taken by somebody else!
