I went here for a work event recently. The drink selection was awful, but that could have been my employer's fault. My main issue is the volume of the music. The music was far too loud and the venue refused to turn it down. I had to leave shortly after coming because I was losing my voice trying to talk over the music and the music was actually hurting my ears. I would not go back here for an event until something is done about the volume of the music.

Super rude security and completely unhelpful, even with a guest reservation the wait to get in is far too long, the building’s ventilation ducts were constantly leaking water out onto the sidewalk exactly where the line was, and we were barred entry because despite us being legal drinking age, we were not the target age group they were looking for; complete ageism. I won’t be coming back again for sure.

Was here for a company event. Decent atmosphere, nice vegan options and organized staff. Has a table with connect 4 and another with block Jenga. The stage is placed in the middle and there are tv's located throughout. The bar was also well stocked.

I came here for my friend’s birthday. We paid for a booth and several bottles. They had the audacity to kick us out for popping and champagne bottle for good luck. I’m sure everyone has popped a champagne bottle before in their life, especially on a special day like someone’s 20th birthday. The bouncers were very aggressive and used physical force while we were merely standing on the sidewalk. I don’t understand how this place thinks they can function in a city like Toronto.

Unfortunately, had a very poor experience here. We paid for coat check and the staff “accidentally” gave my jacket away to someone else and of course they won’t take any responsibility. So just beware, don’t check expensive jackets.

Aside from the $20 cover just overall an excellent club. All the bouncers are down to earth. My buddy came in with crutches and we were constantly getting help from not only the bouncers but even the bartenders as well. They got him a chair and seemed like they were always keeping a watchful eye over him. One of the few clubs I was able to stay till closing. Great music, great venue, great club.

Cute place around 10pm.. 12am comes and you can breath. Gets so crowded to the point it becomes a saftey hazard. Price is fair. Needs to be more organized upon entry. Have a line form when people come in to get checked.. not a huddle. GREAT music though and fast service for drinks with the amount of people inside.

I will never go here again because I see how stupid ( I’d curse a thousand times but really it could probably get taken down). After 11:30 they only take girls literally the montclare boucer “we are no longer accepting guys” and then when I questioned him he looks at your I’d and then Says guys only over 21 and kicks you out. Literally the worst managed club and is not deserving of anyone’s money. Please please go anywhere else.

Great venue!! First time there. Very clean, even the washrooms LOL. Only downfall is that Dennis F should have played longer than he did. He played for 90 minutes, about the same as every other DJ. Overall, great night, and even better seeing people out and dancing.

Had a great experience at this club, located in the heart of the entertainment district of Toronto. Great music, very clean good looking hipster crowd the evening I was there they had a ballon drop that was very cool concept apparently they do that every week. I recommend you check this place out, great for birthdays or any occasion you’re celebrating.

Went here for NYE. We were told we would get free champagne and party favours and that was not given to us. Paid $75 dollars when i could have gone to a nicer club for cheaper. Not to mention the bouncers are rude and disrespectful and push and kick people out for no reason. This place is not worth the money.

Sound system is great you feel the bass but it doesn't kill your ears. Limited drink options and over priced. 8 bucks a beer. I enjoy the 4-9 sets but it gets crowded and the DJs are hit and miss

Had a good time. There's Jenga and beer pong here. Bartenders were standing on the bar coyote ugly style. Balloons dropped were fun for about 2 minutes until everyone decided to start popping them for the next hour. Crowd is more on the younger side. Usual wait times to get in.

Fantastic mix of music: mainstream hip hop, rap, cultural, etc. It's a great place if you like to dance and are willing to enjoy a wide variety of music rather than a niche type. The DJ was slightly off-putting because they would transition out of a song just as the beat would drop, which was frustrating at times The atmosphere can be best desribed as "flower girl" and aesthetic, with neon pink/pastel lighting, and the use of shrubbery/plants to give the place a natural vibe. The lines were not that long at the door, ticket booth, or coat check, so you can get to having fun quickly. Would highly recommend for anyone below the age of 26 (as that is the majority of the crowd)!

Staff was awesome especially a guy named Cook. Super helpful and fun, got us set up with bottle service even though were was about 14 of us. We got about 6-7 bottles and we had a grand old time with him setting us up with great servers and service. The space is gorgeous and the lighting was just right for clubbing in general. The music wasn't really my style as it was just super recent/new contemporary pop and a lot of it was undancable. But when songs like cotton eyed joe and the YMCA came on, the predominantly white crowd went mad. All in all it was a fun time. 5 stars mostly for Cook being so helpful and awesome.

I was at Love Child after hours (between 11 p.m. to 2 a .m.). It is a beautiful spot, well decorated with a bar. The music was amazing and their dance floor was big enough. That said, I waited about 15 mins in line to get my coat checked. I don't know why it took so long but the line was extremely long. Also, some of the bartenders took forever to serve drinks. Other than that, this spot has a nice atmosphere with a mature crowd. I would go again.

We were there Saturday March 9th at around 11:30pm. Coat check was at capacity very early, and bar tenders were too busy dancing on the bar to serve anyone (at one point they made our drink but when we asked to pay the response we got was “im dancing”) but this wasn’t the worst part. A packed club usually means you have to move through the crowd at some point, a couple girls in a booth decided to get aggressive and threw punches at my girlfriend just for trying to squeeze by (not the club’s fault obviously) but the bouncers decided to throw us out for it. Bouncers were way too aggressive and dislocated my girlfriend’s shoulder and bruised her knee in several places when they tossed us out of the back door. When we tried to explain what happened and asked them to call us an ambulance or for help we were ignored. Ended up having to get a cab to the hospital and spend the night there for injuries given to my gf from the bouncers.

I would give this establishment 0/5 stars if I could. My friends and I were in line for 40+ mins and as we made it to the front, the bouncer announced that the club is at its full capacity and would not be letting anyone in for another 30 mins. We were fine with that and were willing to wait patiently, although the bouncer FORCED us to leave the line immediately. He was being extremely rude and treated us with utmost disrespect. We noticed as we left the line, he proceeded to let a group go in behind us immediately. Absolutely ridiculous. Also, beware of the theft issue in this club and aggressive bouncers. Never coming back to this place and will not be condemning this type of behaviour.

DO NOT GO HERE! cannot believe how RUDE these body guards are. Went here on New Years. Was dancing with my friends and a body guard was walking past me and pushed me. Trust me, no matter how much I drink I can compose myself and during this time I did not go past my limit. He literally pushed me. Me being me, I pushed him back (I didn’t realize he was a body guard, regardless I did not deserve to be pushed). I pulled my neck really bad, ofcourse I asked him why he pushed me and he yelled at me back. Fine I let it go! My friend who did not drink came back with a guy behind him. Ofcourse she has a boyfriend and was worried why he was behind her. So I hugged her and said she’s my girlfriend friend. The guy started yelling at me and said he works here and walked her out. I kid you not she was walking calmly while he walked her out. She was in line for washroom! I soon realized they were picking on people to kick out the club since there was a line up outside. To everyone who’s reading this, the bodyguards (in new Years atleast) had a power trip. I know this is pretty common among men, especially brown men (I’m brown) however I was so upset because I honestly respected all their rules. I will NEVER go there and. I hope my review will stop you from going there too. If you’re a women and care about yourself and you’re well being do not go here be cause the body guards have no respect for anyone (regardless of gender). I have never in my life’s been this upset and treated so poorly. I cannot believe I went here for $75 dollars when I could have gone to a club such as cube or orchid. If you want to message me privately outside of my review I would be more than happy to discuss with anyone who is considering to go to his disgusting place.

Came here for St Patrick's day and the event was oversold and the bar was incredibly crowded. They also didn't have any liquors at the bar. They only had hard liquor for drinks and shots. The bottle service area was nice and the DJ was great.

This place is very dangerous as its full of criminals stealing young girls' phones. My daughter went there for a birthday party and her brand new phone was stolen from her purse which she was wearing on her body. My daughter told the staff and she was told that sometimes they find phones while cleaning and they will call her if they find it. We received a call from their employee Kass saying that he found it while cleaning and we could come and pick it up the next evening. He made us believe that the phone wasn't stolen to buy more time to be able to sell it before we report it stolen. When we went to pick up our phone from the club we were told that 2 other girls came with the same story and that they didn't have my daughter's phone. This club has these criminals dancing right beside young girls and since it was so crowded and people were bumping into each other, they have mastered to way to steal expensive phones right from their body. I am surprised to see no reviews about stolen phone while at least 3 phones were stolen the night my daughter went there and when we told people about the incident a few other girls shared how their phones were stolen at this club. This place is dangerous as its full of criminals. One of the worst nights of my daughter's life. We had to spend the entire weekend dealing with this issue. This club is clearly aware of the criminals stealing at this club but its no big deal to them and they are doing nothing about it. Very unsafe place for young girls. Please protect them and DO NOT let them go to this place.

(March 29th) The club itself is great. Same issues that many toronto clubs have. The bouncers hold the line for no reason and then charge you 20 each head to get in. What's worse is that, that only gets you under shelter, they still expect you to may to get into the club. I was literally targeted and my card was switched out with a different one after paying for a drink at the bar. $1000 was stolen from my bank account. When I called and explained what happened no one offered to even look into the situation. 0/5 stars, would never go back to this establishment even if someone paid me. My friends and I were in line this long weekend and we heard about this new club called Love Child. As we were excited to see the venue we were patiently waiting are then we heard some loud shouting coming from someone in the front. This guy was yelling at customers to move or you will be kick out. These customers werent even saying anything and I was in shock. I asked someone who that person was and they said it was the owner named Sasha. This was a complete turn off and disrespectful and we decided to leave. Never seen anything like that and we heard he does this all the time to people and other customers never come back. Not sure whats wrong with this person but this is bad customer service. You should never hear that from anyone who is dealing with customers. Your customers are what make you money and don't deserve to be treated like children. We ended up going to Thompson Hotel and had a wonderful time. Don't ever go to Lovechild !!!

(Fri March 29) Got in and the vibe was good so I'm thinking I'm gonna have a good night - even though they made us pay $20 after we were on guestlist and got in at 12:03 ! Should just be the $10 I feel. Service at the first bar as soon as you walk in was amazing. The smaller bar however - piss poor. They had cups on the side but no water...okay. My friend took a glass to ask for water and the guy snatched it from her and put it back. So then I went to the front to ask the girl for water and she gives me shots glasses ! Then I gestured with my hand showing a cup size and she fills them and drops them in front of me. Disrespectful! This place can miss me forever!

Would give lower than one star if i could. Came to this club with a friend for my birthday. We were inside for 20min before we were taken out by security (we were only dancing) and told to get something to drink and eat and come back 30min later. When we came back only my friend was allowed back inside and I was told I wasn't because i was drunk (even though i was sober) and was told to leave. very disappointed.

Clean and great for the type of event we attended. Music system is not the best but bathrooms were clean. Be careful of the sinks you could fall in. No parking available. Seating very eclectic and good for groups.

Friday night are fun. Entrance fee was $10 for this particular night. Drinks are no less than $8. The bouncer said its a 21+ only club. Since when?? He tried to kick out so many people from the line outside but eventually the manager came outside to let all the 19 and 20 year olds in. Beer pong tables were cool. Good atmosphere overall, one of the nicer clubs in the 6.

Phone literally got stolen out of my pants pocket there. Bouncer wouldn't let my friends stay with me to go look for my phone and wanted me to go in by myself with no phone or anything. Also way overcrowded and people were way too drunk indicating that they aren't even meeting their smartserve requirements.

Love Child Social is the perfect venue for just about anything you can imagine! I've been here for panels, seminars, networking events and concerts and I'm always impressed by how they're able to transform the space each time. Staff are always super friendly and the artwork and design of the space is really cool. Haven't gone to their social events on the weekend, but definitely planning to make a visit!

I only gave one star because it is not possible to give none at all. Absolutely horrific security. Spoke with the utmost disrespect and treated us as if we do not have any dignity. Also extremely arbitrary in the sense that anyone can be kicked out because of capacity's sake. Either hire new security guards and management for better organization and the promotion of respect or don't run a club at all. Definitely never coming back here ever again and warning my friends as well.

They ask for your email for their own contests but sell your email address to scam sites. My inbox has been flooded with malicious, illegitimate fakes of Netflix, Amazon prime and other fake sites saying my payment couldn't be processed or that my subscription payment is overdue, asking for new payment methods. Disgraceful that they would try to squeeze a cheap buck out of their patrons

Me and my girls went there on a Friday, we were in the line before midnight (it's $10 before 12) and we got in at like 12:04 and they still made us pay $20 dollars to get in plus the bartenders were very disrespectful to my friend when she asked for cups of water. They gave her tap water in shot glasses... We were all shocked and honestly appalled that she would do such a thing, especially because my friend asked for it at the bar and everything. Like who does that?!?Music was okay, nothing special. Definitely a place for a much younger crowd.

Good social place in the west side of toronto. Place is quite big with lots of games to play and socialise We had a company event and it was too crowded so i felt it was pretty small to have 300+ people. Best part of the night was jamie williams playing the classics songs whole night and his voice was perfect for the genre We had fun and enjoyed the place.

This was clearly a bar at some point. The bar is still there and fully functional. My understanding is the it now serves as a common work space. It's a fairly large space. It would be a nice place to work, but it is an open space. Distractions will be abundant. I was there for a start up grind event. It was a good event. It was slightly crowded at the bar (of course) and otherwise spacious. There is no accessibility at this place. The front door has steps, and there are more steps in the foyer. All the doors are manual. It's because the building is very old.

My company previously had our event at Love Child. Definitely a cool and pop cultured venue. If there's one thing I can say about this place is the vibe. Our event was a success with the help of an awesome team. The venue accommodated over 140+ people comfortably. The natural light in the space gave it a really nice glow to the room during the day. Overall, amazing turn out.

Contacted the bottle service email to book for a regular Saturday night, mentioned there is only 3 of us, was told we need to spend $500 (bottles start at 225/each & they wouldn't even give us a table)...are they trying to poison us!? Does the bottle service host has a Smartserve certificate!? Let's hope liquor board doesn't get a wind of this!!!

if i could not even give this place a star i wouldnt, this place is known for theft, 3 out of 4 of my friends had things stolen from them, 2 of those items happen to be apple iphones, there is obviously someone that goes there every weekend just to pick pocket people. also staff drinks on the job. i would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Unless you do want to get robbed.

Love Child Social is absolutely stunning, everything about it is Instagramable. I just signed up for the 3 day Free trial and had a tour. I was blown away, the furnishing and decor is vintage inspired and so on trend!! It's my new office space for sure ????????????????

As a nightclub, this was the worst place I've ever been in Toronto after living here for 7 years. It's completely overpriced and the music was absolutely awful. At one point (even though it's 2019) three songs in a row were Usher - Yeah, Ying Yang Twins - Get Low, and LMFAO/Lil Jon - Shots. It was so bad that not a word of a lie we asked for a refund of our cover because we were so disappointed (Even though that sounds ridiculous, we were just so mad we wasted money getting in). They did not oblige even a partial refund even though we were in there for less than 10 minutes. Definitely do not recommend. I cannot speak to it as a co-working space. Maybe it's better in the days for something like that. We won't be finding out.

I've never felt so strongly about writing a review but I was horrified at the actions of employees here. I've been to Love Child before and had a good time, however last night my friends and I had the worst experience here and I will never return. Employees were beyond rude and yelled and swore at us on multiple occasions when we were doing absolutely nothing wrong. Because this club is in such high demand, employees know they can get away with being extremely rude, all of them are on a power trip. Long story short: will never return and will let everyone know about this experience!
