Destawed helped us group of friends organize a bachelor and bachelorette trip. Everything from the resort booking to transportation was taken care of. We stayed at the Melody Maker in Cancún on their recommendation and it was just fantastic. The resort atmosphere was exactly what we needed for this trip.

DestaWed team is a dependable one. I travelled with them multiple times in the past two years; they are always there to help their clients, vendors, and guests in any way needed, at all hours of the day. There has been incidents where the couple is about to start a ceremony and had forgotten something important in their rooms; I've seen Amit, Tina, and Aiks RUN (multiple times throughout the week) to go grab things from one end of the resort to the other, for their clients. Their service is immpeciable! Definitely worth hiring this team!!

My sister booked her wedding through DestaWed after reading reviews online. THE REVIEWS ONLINE ARE VERY DECEPTIVE, all the positive reviews are from attendees of the weddings. All the negative reviews are from the bride and groom or close family members. As for my family’s experience with Desta Wed, they are the WORST wedding planning company I have ever encountered. I am currently in the events industry and have personally worked with wedding planners and have never encountered such bad customer service, lack of care, or unprofessionalism before. Let’s start with the worst of them, Amitt, he was in charge of the travel bookings. He would not respond on time to any emails sent, he would takes weeks to respond. He did not complete any of the bookings himself, just redirected us to his assistants. He did not advise our family of any cut off dates and the additional charges, so our family had to pay a large amount for additional charges for extra tickets that they booked. He did not know what he was doing, every single time we would ask questions, he would just threaten to charge us penalties because he would not explain anything properly. Then he screwed up the flight bookings and made all of our guests pay more than needed. He was also in charge of the hotel bookings, we were promised we would have rooms in the same building, we had three rooms on the same floor, and the rest of our family was in different buildings 20 minutes away, all on different floors. Lastly, in the wedding meetings he would argue with my dad. Worst customer service ever. He caused our family so much additional stress, when wedding planners are suppose to ease your stress by making the process easier for you. We also dealt with the other owner of the company, Aiksimran, his ONLY contribution to the wedding was showing up to every event in a t shirt, shorts and flip flips. To wedding events, where he is one of the wedding planners, so unprofessional. To this day I do not know what his role at the company is, he did not do anything for the wedding. Us paying for him to fly out to Mexico was an absolute waste. And lastly, we dealt with Tina, she is the saving grace of this company, she was the actual wedding planner and made the design process for my sister very easy. But all of Tina’s hard work was overshadowed by our horrible experiences with Amitt and Aiksimran. Overall, they made the wedding planning process much more stressful than needed, and were the most unprofessional company I have ever met.

Destawed is absolutely horrible. I went for my friends wedding October 3 to 10 of 2018. As a soon to bride a destination wedding was an option but after this I can’t even consider it. They horribly planned the events and were very unprofessional. One of their reps was actually concentrated more on enjoying her vacation and partying then helping the bride and groom have the wedding of their dreams. They also sat everyone on different seats on the plane. Two of our friends had babies less than a year old and the family was all sitting in different seats. When we got to the resort I was in a different room then my significant other and the hotel had to fix it. The reps there did not help with anything. There are a lot of other vendors that can help you plan your perfect wedding I wouldn’t consider destawed ever. Awful experience

Had the pleasure of travelling to Punta Cana for a family friend's wedding this past May. We stayed at the Riu Palace Punta Cana resort and it was nothing less than perfect. Tina had arranged everything for us so well with such a positive vibe. She had great energy and let us know early on that if we had absolutely any questions we could direct them towards her. Altogether, the entire week was a blast and very stress-free. Thanks again destawed!

I was attending my friends wedding at the Moon Palace, Cancun which happened to be organized by Desta Wed. I must say I was very impressed. The travel accommodations were easy to book. Gurpreet Bhondi specifically was the one that ensured this trip and wedding was spectacular. I had to change my duration within a few months before departure and she accommodated this request very efficiently as she got back to me with some options to pick from based on my preference. The resort was beautiful and simple enough to find my way around. My whole wedding experience was phenomenal, planners like Gurpreet were super helpful in finding venues and having the events on time. Great Job Desta Wed! Keep it up :)

Loved loved Destawed and the planner Aarushi!!! The entire process with Destawed was so easy! We decided to book really last minute with COVID Restrictions just starting to ease up in Canada, we dealt with Aman to book our travel reservation, she made the booking process for us so simple in such a stressful time, and made sure we’d make it back home with just as much ease. Aarushi was so helpful with figuring out how to book the necessary COVID tests, and helping us once we arrived at the resort. During the events, the team was FLAWLESS!!! They arranged for meeting spots to make sure we got to the right events, they made sure everything was organized and up to the Bride and Grooms standards and wishes, they were unbelievably helpful. Everything seemed so simple, and as guests we were able to enjoy everything fully. I highly recommend Aman & Aarushi to be apart of your wedding planning process as they are the ultimate dream team at Destawed. Amazing work done by these ladies and we made it home safe and sound while attending our first destination wedding!!!

Desta Wed did my husband and I's wedding this October 2019 and they exceeded our expectations in many ways! Aiksimar and Aarushi worked hard to give us our dream wedding. All of our events ran so smoothly and were stress free, we were truly relaxed! Our wedding was honestly more of a vacation than a wedding and I would 100% recommend Desta Wed as well as the idea of a destination wedding to all. They brought all of our visions to life by ensuring we had the most beautiful decor, tasty food and good music all night. They worked with our budget and they even upgraded us to the adults only section after our wedding day. Desta Wed took care of all of our family/friends and were around 24/7 to ensure everyone is on time for every event and that they don't need anything. I and my son made a reservation with 100% deposit $1800/each with them and were excited to go. However, as COVID rates increased and govt declined all non-essential travel, I requested travel adjustment. But to my surprise they declined ANY travel adjustment. Infact they said that if I don't go I will loose my deposit. I didn't end up going but my son still did in an attempt to not loose all the deposit. As expected, someone got COVID there and had to be hospitalized. Now because of DESTAWED MY SON RISKED HIS LIFE and WAS EXPOSED to COVID. This could have been avoided if they would have given us our deposit back. NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE EVER AGAIN.

This review is long overdue! I was truly amazed during my brother’s wedding experience with Destawed! From the bookings with the coordinators to the very last day, things were very smooth & more delightful as expected! Anaahit, Amit & Tina were superstars! Amit attended to my every annoying whim & answered every annoying question lol, they were also very accommodating with giving our wedding group extra time to pay off our balances (Anaahit gave me 2 extensions ????). Upon arrival, Tina & Simmer were sweethearts! They ensured everyone’s check-in’s were flawless & even surprised my family of 5 with a delightful surprise. She told us we got 2 separate rooms instead of 1, free of charge! I was beyond happy cause there was no way someone was making it out alive of that room with me if the 5 of us were in there lol. The wedding & reception itself was absolutely gorgeous, words cannot express the beauty but our cameras definitely did ❤️. Hands down was the best destination wedding experience I’ve ever had! I have to say this is one of the most unprofessional and disorganized companies I have ever had to deal with. Customers service was a disgrace. I could only imagine what the bride and groom had to go through. As a guest, destawed made several errors in booking, charged for single occupancy when should have been a double, did not get proper information regarding cancellation policies. Nickle and dime you for everything. I would not book through them ever again.

I would not recommend and have told friends not to go with DestaWed. I was at a wedding with them in November 2019 and they sent 3 planners to Cabo. I have never seen planners party like this team did. One girl didn't seem to know anything regarding the wedding. If I ever asked her, she'd send me to a different planner. For one of the events (pool party), the 3 planners took over one of the cabanas - which left much of the bridal party out on a few chairs. They were taking shots with everyone in the pool despite having another event that same night. During the morning of the wedding we spoke to 2 planners and neither was able to point a group of us (bridesmaids) to the right location. We literally ran around the resort for about 30 minutes until we found our party. They sent us to the groom's location over and over again. During bridal party pictures, Aarushi came in hot TO THE BRIDE -angry that she had been looking for the brides phone. The bride was genuinely confused, saying she's had her phone and doesn't know why anyone would say she didn't have it. Aarushi was (in her pool attire) mad that her time had been wasted. Why she took it out on the bride - no idea. I guess we were holding up her pool time..? At the reception, the planners had drinks in their hands before guests. Again, Aarushi was angry about an entrance that she was unaware of for the bridesmaids. Bride had been texting us about the song and what she wanted us to do for our entrance. Argued with bridesmaids and told us we did not have an entrance and when we said she should ask the bride she stormed off. I understand it's frustrating that she may not have known or it may have slipped their minds when they went over the schedule but it's a wedding! Things are bound to happen - it's how to take changes that show what kind of a planner you are. Put on a happy face and keep moving! It's already a stressful time for many people and encountering a planner who always seems annoyed does not make for a good time.

I have never written a review before but I want to share some points for potential future customers of DestaWed. I just got back from my sisters wedding and overall I want to say that organization of everything and timing was good. I know planning all the Indian wedding events is not easy. However, when I got to the airport the day I was leaving, my newborns ticket was booked under the grooms mother, it took us half an hour trying to resolve the issue and later found that the groom and his family we're also having issues checking in due to this same issue. I had to also waste more than half an hour at the punta Cana airport on the way back trying to explain to the air Canada agent there who didn't speak English that my child was my child. At the end we had to track down the grooms mother and made her check in with my daughter to just get onto our flight on time. I know this isn't the end of the world but when you are paying for a service, I would expect the travel agents/ the planners to make sure the main family is booked in together properly. I'm sure all it needed was a double check of names. Not to mention that my 5 year olds seat was no where near us both ways, but we managed to change around seats with other passengers. The main reason I'm writing this review is to put a complaint in writing about the main representative of the company that met us in Punta Cana, Aarushi. I was very surprised at her behavior through the entire wedding. She was rude, not approachable, and constantly yelling at the wedding party. We had many people from our group of 85 that had a complaint about her rudeness. For example, being the bride's sister, we took the groom's shoes at the end of the beach Hindu wedding, all we wanted was to put a song on in the background as we completed our little ceremony, and her answer to this request was this isn't apart of the program. The other 2 ladies I must add we're a lot more approachable and pleasant to deal with. Also, during the Hindu ceremony my husband got up with our 10 month old to put her asleep as it was very windy and our daughter was fussy and Aarushi asked him to sit down and he replied sorry I need to put my daughter to sleep and she completely disregarded his comment and told him to sit down, no empathy shown or even listening to what the issue was. This is my sisters wedding, obviously my husband and I weren't there to cause issues so her to treat us this way was completely uncalled for. I'm all for trying to keep on schedule and shutting down anything that's not supposed to be apart of the program but being in customer service myself for years, she needs to have a better tone, approach, and empathy for situations. If this is the level of customer service DestaWed provides, I would not recommend them. If it's just this one representative then DestaWed should provide some coaching.

I recently planned my wedding with Destawed and the experience was only outstanding! I wanted all my events to be unique and I had a lot of random asks but Destawed made it happen! They were also great in helping our guests arrange their travel to Mexico and our guests only had great things to say! I had heard stories from friends about being stressed during their wedding week and not being able to enjoy their wedding events, but I honestly did not have to stress at all as they took care of everything! I also felt as if all my events were planned perfectly and there were no issues at all! I am really going to miss planning my wedding with Destawed, but I am looking forward to my family members getting married in the future so we can work with them again! Even when a big misunderstanding occurred with the booking I was really pleased with the fact that they did the right thing and tried their best to make the situation right. The planning and wedding itself was flawless, and Tina and her partner made every go smoothly.

If I could give them a lower score I would. They were absolutely horrible, not only was the booking process a nightmare, they did not provide us with our flight information until the week of, despite being asked multiple times. They got my cousins last name wrong and send private information to a complete stranger. They overcharged for everything because they know it is inconvenient for you to do it yourself and do not respect your budget at all. The entire wedding party was spread out all over the resort in separate buildings, you would think booking a year in advance they would be able to arrange the wedding party being if not in the same building at least more closely together. They overcharged my card $1000 and when I told them of their mistake there was no apology or acknowledgment they messed up. Also i dont think its professional to wear shorts to an indian wedding, its really not hard to get linen pants. They are sloppy, rude, and have no respect for your budget, and will mess up some aspect of your wedding and make the experience much more stressful than necessary

Absolute nightmare. Booked a destination wedding one-year in advance. let Gurpreet Boondi know we had a 4 month old as well as a toddler, and as such, requested to be very close to the grandparents for help, and be relatively close to the lobby. They had us in building #78 (way back), and the grandparents in building 68. 10 buildings apart. For our flights, my toddler, as well as Myself and my wife were seated 10 rows apart each. Absolute nightmare getting us to sit together on the plane. Gurpreet is a nightmare - her attitude is horrible as well. Comes off as arrogant. Stuck up. She blew the groom's wedding ceremony as well - the bride was seated first! insane.

Be wary of the good reviews, a lot are from friends and family and other family businesses. Please do not use their services. They are rude arrogant and unorganized. Gurpreet cannot follow basic instructions and makes numerous mistakes. I had to double check all their work. It was to a point that I didn't even know if all the guests invited to the wedding would arrive as there were so many errors. Amitt also takes no ownership. They sent all our wedding information to the wrong person which is a clear privacy breach. Everything is a struggle to negotiate, the prices are way out there. You have to fight for everything and follow up on outstanding items yourself. Aiksimar did a great job there however all of a sudden all these items that were going to cost so much became free, which is great but if we had said ok to begin with it would have been 1000s of dollars. Also since some of our decorations flew off during the ceremony we were told we get reimbursed and did not. If you want your wedding planners to decrease your stress this is not the company they will increase it, I would have been better off doing it myself. DESTADON'T!

We were truly heartbroken that we could proceed with the wedding they helped us plan but we deeply appreciate all they did for us (and are still doing for us dealing with the Airlines for our guests). As a guest at one of the weddings they planned I was not very happy with their organization. Every event ran at least 15 minutes behind and the organizers didn't communicate well with the guests on what was going to happen and where etc. There was such a gap between 2 ceremonies that they gave no context and timing on and no one from the team could be found, that people missed some of the 2nd ceremony because they didn't know what time to be back (after waiting around with no guidance). There were multiple booking errors of other guests that never should have happened and they made things that should have been simple very difficult. We didn't get any communication for flight confirmations etc until a week before we were to leave but you can bet when it came time for final payment they were communicating with you. For a destination wedding planning company I would expect much more organization and communication and was disappointed and would not recommend a bride and groom to have to go through that process.

The registration process is not efficient and left much room for human error, which did happen. No communication until weeks before the wedding and mixed up my friends first and last name which caused errors upon check in.. Destawed reassured that they fixed it but this was not true.any problems at airport.

We planned our destination wedding a little under a year out and were married November 1st at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. From the beginning DestaWed was very knowledgeable of the process and guiding us with recommendations that suited our group. Brides and grooms need to understand that with large scale events there will always be unforseen circumstances however Destawed ensured to resolve them. It is very important to have someone like that in your corner when you're dealing with such a momentous occasion. Special kudos to Tina for always going above and beyond. Amongst other things, she had made sure our rooms were local to one another, communicated our events and travel accommodations effectively to guests, and WORKED WITH MANAGEMENT TO EXTEND OUR RECEPTION TIME AT NO COST BECAUSE WE WERE HAVING SO MUCH FUN! That was amazing. My group consisted of several regular travellers and none of them have stopped talking about the trip and the wedding. Few couples already have plans to engage DestaWed for their services. As you can see would highly recommend.

My daughter recently got married in Mexico and went through Desta Wed team to help her achieve her dream wedding- I personally was not in favor of a destination wedding and took me awhile to swallow my daughter's decision- This was the best decision my daughter made and the entire team of Desta Wed went out of their way to make sure both side of parents were taken care of and their guests- Team members were always available when needed and also took extra care of elder members on both sides of the family- We all know for a great party food and music go hand and hand, without any doubt Desta team pulled through with amazing flavourful Indian Veg options alongside NON-Veg options and the best part was hearing our guests praise how food tasted at each event- Tina and Aarushi thank you kindly for assisting, advising and just being there when I needed you both regardless of the time- You both had a huge part of this amazing journey and I thank you!! xoxo Aiks your patience, suggestion and guides is to applaud for!!! Booking with Destawed has made travelling feel effortless! They have such an accommodating team, especially when it comes to coordinating travel for large groups. My group was able to sit closely on the flight, and all our rooms at the resort were right next to each other. I felt stress free and had a great experience interacting with the Destawed team. I would definitely recommend their services!

Destwed were disgraceful and so useless when it came to correcting basic errors and were not accommodating in any way whatsoever. They had to be told multiple times to correct their mistakes and still ended up making the same error which resulted in many of the wedding party going back and forth. The whole purpose of destwed is to make it easy for the Bride and Groom as well as the party, i can tell you this they did everything but make it easy. All the wedding party was spread out across the resort which makes no sense when you do a large booking you would expect for the whole party to be together, clearly Destawed did not feel this was necessary. Do not use Destawed if you want a stress free experience, you are probably better of doing it yourself or using a more reliable company that accommodates and have people skills.

I really do not write reviews but this one definitely needs to be written. My family and I booked a trip through Destawed for a cousins wedding and just got back last week. After repeatedly telling them that my grandma is unable to walk, they told me that they would take care of it. First, she was seated 5 rows behind us by herself. Those beside her were booked together so they did not want to move. I was worried sick. Also, we were placed on the SECOND floor of the accommodations at a place with no elevators and because the resort was packed, they were unable to change so my cousins had to help her down every day and every night. When contacting Destawed, they told me not to write a bad review but gave me an email and they would try their best to do something, i have not heard back. If you are going to book for a family wedding do it directly with the hotel, they wont exclude you from events and you are still able to go to the events, you will save money and will be accommodate. Pros: The resort was beautiful and other than the hiccups it was a great time. Traveled. October 10 to 17 2018

I've been to a few destination weddings over the last few years and I have to admit that this was the worst experience I have ever had at one. The booking of flights and rooms were completely off. Instead of letting individuals pick their own seats at check-in, they charged us to pick seats and separated us. When I called Air Canada Vacations to change my seats they couldn't find my booking and after going through all my information with them, I was told by Air Canada Vacations that my fiance and I were not even booked in the same room. This wasn't even day one. When we arrived we were taken into a room where there were snacks, after a three and a half hour flight, with no vegetarian options except some fruits and cookies. The DestaWed team that was sent to the resort were really of no help at all during the whole trip and in fact one of them seemed more interested in going to Noir (the nightclub at Sunrise) every night over actually being a coordinator for the wedding. During the day of the wedding we were advised that because of the weather, the location of the morning ceremony had to change. The Milni was conducting in a corridor, where other guests who were not part of the wedding had to pass through constantly. I don't understand how you, as a wedding planning team, were unable to check the weather and have appropriate contingencies planned ahead of time. The best part about it was, after the Milni we went around the corner and there was a large empty space where the Milni could have happened and people would not have had to walk through. After the ceremony, the coordination team was no where around to let the bridal party know where we were supposed to go for pictures or what the plan was for the day. Apparently, there was also a doli, but no one knew about it because none of the coordinators mentioned anything to anyone. There really is too much to mention. I haven't even touched upon the placement of guests throughout all of the buildings... This was by far the worst experience I have had at any destination wedding and it should have been one of the best experiences for all of us, as it was our best friends getting married. Pressuring our friends into making sure we don't give honest reviews of our experience with your team also shows your character as a business. The RD stands for Really Disappointed.

DestaWed was an easy pick for my husband and I when selecting a wedding planner for our destination wedding in Mexico. They sat with us over several meetings to go through all the details for our wedding events including: decor, menus, entertainment and the overall itinerary. They were able to bring our vision to life! They genuinely care about what is important to you, and they do their best to deliver. They surprised us by including centre pieces for one of our pre-wedding functions that we really wanted, but didn’t budget for. They also upgraded some of our decor for our ceremony and reception. Overall, we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The DestaWed team is super thoughtful and easy to work with.

I'm not sure where to begin, I'm still trying to soak in all the moments, feelings and memories Destawed has created for us. From the moment I said yes, Tina, our planner was there to guide me every step of the way. I was very hesitant about having a destination wedding. For many reasons, my son has his health issues, my dad is disabled and I was worried about them travelling. I was worried about asking guests to attend a destination wedding, I had so many reasons why I didn't want to and for months we went back and forth looking at local venues and destination resorts. Whatever I was feeling Tina was always supportive and listened. She patiently put up with my indecisiveness for months, but I knew deep down that I had my heart set on a destination wedding. So I finally decided to do it and EVERYTHING else, every single detail was taken care of from here on out. Honestly, the most stressful part (sorry fam if you read this) was getting our family to book on time. The travel coordinators (Anaahit, Amit, Subhneet) were so amazing with dealing with our group, we were such a needy group and they accomadated to every detail PLUS more for us. My dad and son were my main concern for travel, they took care of them right from arrival at the airport ensuring they had all the assistance they required at the airport and on the resort. Bless you guys because you made THIS all happen with ease for us. They were so helpful every step of the way right up until I got on the plane and off. On our way to the resort I didn't know what to expect. Upon arrival Tina and Sim were there, ready to greet us. This is when the destawed experience really began. They had bracelets for our groups, they guided everyone to check in with ease and had a special romantic setting for the bride and groom's check in. They set up everything for us and made sure we were okay and taken care of every single day and moment we were there and EVEN ORDERED US BREAKFAST ON SOME MORNINGS!!! As a bride and groom, we didn't EVER feel stressed, they were always there to prep us, pep talk us, offer their advice and arrange whatever we needed for us and our family and friends during our stay. The attention to detail was endless. Destawed team, you have not only created a magical wedding for me. You have given my family a once in a lifetime experience to travel and make memories together. It's been almost TWO weeks since our wedding and we are STILL overwhelmed by the amazing experience and feeling this has left us. The planning down to every little detail was flawless. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for a wedding I could not have fantasized better. I wish I could do this a million times over again. THANK YOU, DestaWed team. You guys have exceeded all of our expectations!
