Like so many others getting married during Covid we had to juggle dates, venues, vendors, restrictions, and guest size to name some of the variables. Her assistance, guidance and support were so appreciated. Beyond the Covid challenges, Alli was professional in everything she did, she communicated timely and clearly; always delivered on her commitments; and was always available to answer our questions. She worked with us to develop a vision of what our day would look like and then presented us with options for every aspect until we arrived at our ultimate plan. The day of our wedding we truly felt like guests at our own wedding. One month later, we still have no knowledge of any issues that may have arisen during the day and literally had to answer no planning / logistics questions through out the day. We miss our regular planning meetings with her, she kept us on point but it was always an enjoyable process. Alli always had a suggestion or idea on how to bridge both our visions. Alli is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about her. I hired her as my wedding planner and day of coordinator, and it was honestly the best wedding planning decision I made. We discussed in detail my wedding vision and budget, and then Alli made it all come together. I didn’t have to deal with the stress of waiting to hear back from vendors or wondering if I was making the most cost effective decisions. I don’t live in Winnipeg and I was planning my wedding at a busy time in my work life, so Alli met with vendors on my behalf and then came back to me with everything I needed to make decisions. She also has great taste when it comes to design, I basically took ALL of her suggestions because they were that good. She responded to every question/concern I had very promptly, and was there to help me every step of the way. We even forgot to make a payment for the alcohol, and she personally drove to the LC and made the payment for us so the product could get delivered. She goes above and beyond! My wedding was a dream come true, I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Alli had everything organized, she put out fires behind the scenes, and she was there by our side to help with anything we needed. She is also very personable and her bubbly personality made having her around on my wedding day super comfortable. I would highly recommend Alli to anyone planning a wedding!

We asked Alli to jump on board three months out from our wedding and to help on the day of. I'm a pretty organized person so I wasn't sure how much Alli would have to do prior to the wedding day, but let me tell you, not having to worry about co-ordinating with vendors on drop off, pick up, start and end times because Alli was handling it all (plus she was always available via email or text!) was such a relief and time saver. Our wedding was the day after the huge snowstorm in October and in addition to her physical labour, Alli also handled the emotional labour of calming me down and reassuring everything was going to be great. On the day of, she made sure everything went off without a hitch (including finding some last minute spots at the reception for unexpected guests, ugh). If I made her aware of an issue, that was the last I heard about it — she resolved everything quickly and quietly and made sure our day was perfect and basically stress-free. Could not recommend Alli enough!

If there is one component that we can pinpoint as being the most valuable, worthwhile, and all-around enjoyable component of our wedding planning experience it is Alli. We were originally scheduled to be married in August 2020 and, welp, COVID. She planned not only 1, but (at least) 4 back-up plans with a genuine care, enthusiasm, and efficiency throughout. She is phenomenal at what she does and is so pleasant and easy to work with. She is one of the most hard-working, honest, and knowledgable people that we have had the pleasure to work with and I can guarantee that we would not have had the wonderful wedding that we were able to eventually have without her. Despite the significant struggles faced by the wedding industry this past 2 years, Alli has constantly made us feel like WE were the priority and checked in to see if WE needed anything with every change in plans. She is creative, mindful of her clients priorities and budget, incredibly efficient, and thoughtful, and she puts 100% into everything she does. She faces every roadblock with certainty that she will find an answer to get around or manage it, and she remained positive and empathetic through (many) plan changes, tears, and wild ideas - in other words, she went way beyond what we could have ever expected or imagined. The one piece of advice I would lend to someone planning a wedding: Get a wedding planner and, if you are able to book her in time, get Alli! As a side note, as evidence that we loved having Alli on our team SO MUCH, we also hired her to plan our engagement party, rehearsal dinner, and other family events. We cannot recommend Alli Mae Events enough!

Alli was recommended to us via a colleague who had heard that Alli started her own business, and we are so incredibly happy that we chose her to style and coordinate our wedding! Our initial interaction was over the phone and that was enough to know that we were a great fit. Alli exudes professionalism, organization, and enthusiasm. She accounts for every little detail, but makes sure her couples don't get bogged down with the small stuff. Alli gave great advice and also listened to what we wanted and truly brought our vision to life. Unfortunately, COVID made planning a wedding even more stressful than usual and we had to pivot multiple times from a 140 person wedding at a large rented venue to a 55 person backyard tent wedding. Alli met every stressful situation with grace and openness. She always had solutions to problems and eased our planning anxiety. Alli is an absolute dream and in reality the only reason everything came together at our wedding. Whenever I hear couples are forgoing a wedding planner I cringe. I myself am an organized person, I have strong opinions on what I like for design, have been apart of multiple weddings and have a firm grasp on vendors and our city. With all of that said - none of that matters. Alli is many steps ahead, knows every last single detail that needs to be done, has followed up and negotiated rates and terms and become your biggest fan and ally. On top of all that, she's a beautiful person. Getting together to plan out decor and themes and cocktail lists just feels like sitting with your best friend having coffee. When you feel like you've reached an all time max with stress at your wedding, she's there to go over every last detail with you and listen to you vent about whatever problem you are having. She's incredibly patient and kind. She offers her insight and advice but totally supports your wants and needs no matter how out there they might be. I've said it to anyone that will listen that she is without a doubt the best money we could have spent on our wedding (which to be honest is ridiculously affordable - with all her trips to cake stores, decor places, candle shops, placing and designing our online orders - I don't even understand how she is so insanely affordable. We 100% saved so much time and money having her researching and making pick ups for us). If we did it all again I would have contacted her sooner. You will not regret hiring Alli.
