We were planning a wedding for about 240 people in Toronto from our home in Chicago. We tried to handle most of the planning and as we got closer to the wedding date we knew we would need help with the day of coordination. The last thing we wanted was to feel overwhelmed. We reached out to Libby and were very impressed with her professionalism and responsiveness. She did a great job of coordinating with our vendors and providing a timeline that was easy to follow for the big day. There were a few surprises along the way but Libby took charge and addressed them right away. Libby helped to make the day an enjoyable one that we will never forget!

Libby is Spectacular! Everything I could have wished and hoped for in a Wedding Planner. I must have interviewed the entire city before I found Libby and have never looked back. Libby Eydelman and her team at Upon Occasion were an absolutely invaluable resource throughout the entire wedding planning process. Libby was readily accessible, professional, hard-working, and extremely knowledgeable. Coordinating a wedding is an enormous undertaking. Corners cannot afford to be cut. With Libby and Upon Occasion, we could rest assured that all of the details, both large and small, would be attended to. Libby follows up with all vendors, ensures everyone arrives on time and in the correct location, verifies contracts, responds to emails with courtesy and timeliness, and offers excellent suggestions for making the day special! The four meetings we had with Libby were efficient and enlightened us regarding what arrangements were imperative to focus on. We could have easily booked her for more meetings, and less than four, in our opinion, would be doing yourself a great disservice. Finally, the day of our wedding went off without a hitch. Libby made certain to take care of every single thing and allowed us to be completely present with each other as well as our guests. The itinerary Libby organized with us was perfect, and our entire day from morning to the final song of the night went beautifully. We would very highly recommend Libby Eydelman and Upon Occasion to be your next special events planner.

The last thing you want is: vendors disagreeing about arrangements, someone not having a placecard, not having the right number of chairs, music going off at the wrong times, a boring atmosphere, or any other worry in the world... You want to enjoy this day, you want your family to enjoy it. Not going with Libby would mean you're doing this all by yourself, which is crazy! Why Libby? That list.. are just a few of the MANY MANY things Libby did for our BEAUTIFUL wedding. She was AWESOME - professional, punctual, relaxing, upfront, direct, organized, and literally pushed everything forward to make our day super. You don't know this yet, but you NEED Libby... start with her early and get those contracts organized, vendors forget stuff. Both me and my husband feel extremely fortunate that Libby planned our special day. From the very beginning Libby was approachable, professional and extremely effective. She put an incredible amount of time into planning our wedding (could not overemphasize this point) and went far and beyond of what I would ever expect from a wedding planner. In the end, our wedding day was beautiful, stress free and everything turned out so much better than I could have ever anticipated thanks to Libby. Consummate Professional…Unflappable…Organised…Experienced…detail oriented…Personable… A Class Act! These are just a few of the many adjectives that I could apply to Libby and my experience in working with her. I found Libby during an online search while attempting to plan my son’s Bar Mitzvah on my own in the mist of COVID, 1.5 months before the event date. By the time I reached out to an event planner I was already anxious and over my head. I had a relatively small budget to work with. Libby made me feel right away like my budget would be sufficient to have an event that would rival any, and that I wouldn’t have to compromise my vision for my son’s day. Without any commitment that I would sign with her Libby made an appointment to come to my home on the other side of the city to meet with my family so she could get to know us and put together a tentative vision for our day. She arrived on time and within the hour had an outline for a theme, ideas for venues, décor, food etc. mapped out. She did not try to pressure us to go with her, she told us to look around if we liked. I signed up with her within 24 hours, I knew she was the right fit for our family. With just over a month to the big day Libby hit the ground running. Libby saved not only my sanity but hours in research and phone calls. She organised meetings with the venue and vendors, took care of the contracts, negotiated competitive pricing and even got them to throw in little extras. I could see she had an excellent rapport with the vendors, which showed on the day of the event as the vendors, venue, décor, food, music, photography and videography were all superb and professional. Throughout the process, Libby had to contend with changing COVID restrictions, and changing guest numbers as guests changed their minds between in person vs. virtual attendance. Libby remained in constant contact with me over the course of the month, I never had to guess what was going on or where she was in her timeline. Libby kept a close eye on the budget advising me what was good value verses something that would be nice to have, but not necessary, as it wouldn’t make or break the day. On the day of the event, I didn’t have to think or worry about anything but enjoying myself. Libby and her contractors arrived early and transformed the venue into a masterpiece. We received so many compliments from our guests about what a wonderful job she did.
