Above and beyond - nothing less It's impossible to overstate just how important Iris was for our wedding day. We can't say it enough- we wouldn't have been able to organize a wedding a fraction as beautiful as she did on our own. We feel like her design and plans matched our ideal day perfectly, and made the whole process of managing vendors just so easy. Aside from monthly meetings, there was very little for us to follow up on or stress about. Iris saved us from a countless number of hours researching, calling, emailing, and following up- which made the day itself so much more beautiful. She remained flexible, incredibly open to feedback and input, and through the past 1.5+ years of planning, helped us navigate all of the challenges that were put in front of us. We know that there was an immense amount of work done in the background that we weren't even aware of. Because of Iris, we were able to put together what we feel was a world-class group of vendors! Though our ceremony was small, we felt like we were surrounded by great friends in our vendors. We couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful and experienced planner, and as SO happy that we chose Blue Lavender Events' full planning package. We would recommend Iris and her team to -anyone- in a heartbeat.

My husband and I recently worked with Blue Lavender Events for our wedding in Toronto. Working with Iris for our wedding was one of the best investments into our wedding day that we made. Iris was there for us every step of the way, especially navigating through all of the uncertainty with the pandemic. She put together a beautiful and detailed event design for us and her vision matched us perfectly. Throughout the planning Iris was responsive, lovely to work with and so organized. She adapted and was there for us through the many changes that we faced with Covid-19. When we finally got to the wedding day, it completely exceeded our expectations. My wife and I could not be happier with the service and level of care provided by Iris and her team (Leah, Annie) at Blue Lavender Events. Despite the challenges of planning a wedding during a pandemic, (including government regulations changing 9 days before the wedding!), we were able to remain calm because of Iris's professionalism, promptness, and excellent communication both with us and vendors. We took advantage of Blue Lavender Event's 'Renegade Love' package, which includes everything you would need for a beautifully curated micro wedding. We were also able to add services as needed, which helped us to create the wedding that was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. We were blown away by Iris's attention to detail and her ability to understand our vague ideas and make them into something beautiful. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. We were able to enjoy every moment because we knew Iris and her team would take care of anything and everything that came up. Also, whoever heard of a wedding that ran ahead of schedule? My husband and I feel very lucky to have had Blue Lavender Events for Full Planning. We cannot express the full scale of our gratitude. Our dream was to have the wedding ceremony and tented reception take place on my parents' backyard. Iris delivered a custom and unforgettable celebration. It was above and beyond anything we could dream of! The day was complicated logistically because we had a larger guest count and we needed to import and export everything a traditional wedding venue would have. This included three tents, tables, a kitchen, washrooms, electricity, security, backup rain plan, sound system and garbage disposal. We had four separate spaces that needed to be set up (ceremony, cocktails, dinner tent and entertainment tent). Set-up started three days before the wedding and teardown finished two days after. Iris and her amazing assistant Valary led all vendor site visits. She prepared customized floorplans, schedules, timelines, spreadsheets for electricity requirements, and other organisational activities for all vendors. She also had a comprehensive wedding folder for us, was always mindful of our budget, and spotted unnecessary costs. She went through all our vendor contracts before we signed to make sure our best interests were looked after. Iris also facilitated and sourced our more custom requests, such as a ramen bar and fresh mini-doughnut stand. We did not hire a full-scale decorator because we found Iris understood our vision the best. She very graciously and naturally absorbed the role of our decorator in addition to being our wedding planner! She put together a gorgeous design plan for our wedding and sourced all the components we loved. She has great taste and we had a lot of fun planning while being shielded from the tedious logistical issues. Most of all, Iris and Valary were always pleasant, responded quickly to emails, and had great relationships with the vendors. In a number of emails I was CCed on, the vendors thanked Iris and Valary for being such a pleasure to work with. Valary has a wonderful "can-do" attitude and is very thoughtful. Iris is so genuine and sharp and looked out for us, our guests and the vendors. On the wedding day Iris left her Blue Lavender Events mark and made sure every detail was lovingly styled. Everything was so beautiful I could not believe my eyes! The wedding itself was perfect and guests commented on how smooth and magical the day was. Iris made sure that our guests' journey from beginning to end was curated. Her team was very lovely as well. I had made a few elements for the wedding and they set everything up perfectly. They also made sure that the bridal party was hydrated, fed, relaxed and updated on where we were on the timeline. I am very touched by Iris and Valary's generosity and dedication to making sure our wedding was a beautiful day. Iris has such a big heart and everyone around her can't help but feel her excitement and love for what she does. She gave us the best day of our life!

My husband and I were so lucky to have Iris and her team help us before and on our wedding day! We only reached out to her about 7 weeks before our date, due to the unknown of Covid and having postponed our date a year before. From the very second we met, (over video chat) I knew we needed her help! Iris took over communication with ALL vendors, guided us through some minor family drama and made day of decisions so we could focus on each other. My husband and I would highly recommend Iris. She was calm, collected, assertive when she needed to be and happy and positive when we needed a boost. Covid weddings are not the easiest to plan but If you are looking for a wedding planner that does it all, you need Iris!

We feel so so lucky to have worked with Iris and Blue Lavender Events for Full Planning. We initially began working with Iris to help plan our November 2020, 180-person wedding. From the start, Iris took the time to get to know us on a more personal level and understand our story and our style. She perfectly envisioned how we wanted our day to feel and look. And we were so excited for our big day! And then COVID hit. While we both felt a bit nervous about what it would all mean for our wedding plans, we also felt so incredibly supported by Iris as we postponed to 2021. From the moment the world began to shut down and gatherings were restricted, Iris was always in constant communication to make us feel at ease and to always offer solutions, all while navigating this new territory herself. Planning and re-planning a wedding multiple times can certainly take a toll. However, Iris’ ongoing support and professionalism made navigating it all a whole lot easier. We decided to move forward and get married in June 2021. Restrictions meant that we could only have a small, physically distanced ceremony with 20 guests. But it was the most beautiful ceremony we could ever have imagined. Iris helped us add those special touches that elevated the experience – a gorgeous design and flower display (honestly – people won’t stop commenting on how pretty everything looked!), a high-quality live stream of the ceremony to our friends and family who couldn’t be there in person, and meaningful moments like our first dance and funny, heartwarming speeches from family and friends. We cannot say this enough – we couldn’t have gotten through this without Iris. And while many couples may be hesitant about getting married during a pandemic (we were too!), we are so glad we did. It was an amazing day and we have Iris to thank!

Iris was our planner/coordinator for our wedding at Hart House in Toronto, June 2019. I can’t say enough good things about her. Our wedding actually exceeded our expectations and it’s definitely in part thanks to Iris. From the moment you meet her you will feel that she is on your team, she won’t miss even the tiniest detail, and you can trust her completely. She is extremely meticulous with planning out all the details and timelines and makes sure that on the day of, you aren’t worrying about anything except enjoying yourself and taking it all in. She’s extremely adaptable and was able to help with so many aspects of the wedding. We used her recommendations for some of our vendors, she helped with our floral meetings, and she worked in a number of special requests we had for our wedding such as a mini Chinese tea ceremony and a sparkler exit. Iris totally exceeded my expectations, went above and beyond, and is a total superstar planner!
