I shopped at Best for Bride Barrie for my wedding dress, and now almost 3 years later I am back to shop for an evening dress for a family wedding. This time around Maya helped out my sister (the bride) and assisted me with any questions regarding the search for my dress. Maya was wonderful with my sister and super helpful, we walked in without and appointment and got helped right away. We ended up spending 2.5 hours and Maya really worked for us the whole time. She gave us lots of ideas and was patient when all 3 women (myself, mom, and sister) where walking around and talking all over the place. I am very much looking forward to coming back and finding a dress for myself.

Do not waste your money if you are thinking this is the place to bring your family / friends to have the dream dress trying on experience... you are wrong. I dont understand how this place is the highest rated dress shop in Barrie. We paid for the VIP experience so the bride could have her mother and maid of honour and bridesmaid. It could not have been less of a "VIP" feeling. The "senior expert" had no clue about pricing- the employee that was there before she left for the night told the employee that was helping us to "call her to discuss pricing of off the rack dresses". The fact that this store charges $150 TO SHOP IN THEIR STORE- I am just in shock. I brought my son in his stroller- this building is not accessible and the employees watched me struggle to open the door while standing and staring. As I was taking off my shoes which was requested- but no other foot wear provided, I wasn't told to bring any either at the time of booking the appointment. I was told the stroller couldn't come in the store due to salt on the street, and was asked to carry my baby around for our 2 hour VIP appointment. Our "VIP" appointment was not accommodating at all. I felt so uncomfortable that I left the appointment early. The sales woman didn't mention that there was holes in the bottom of one of the dresses until the wedding party pointed it out. This was an off the rack dress. The sales woman also fought the maid of honour and bridesmaid on the types of dresses we picked out for the bride. The bride was standing naked in the change room and was very uncomfortable. The bride, my sister, will not be buying her dress from the store. She is so upset that the experience she has had planned in her head since she was little was destroyed by this awful place.

Yesterday I said YES to my dream dress. Milaine was absolutely amazing with helping me feel comfortable and she actually picked out my dress for me to try on and I'm so so glad that she did !!! I went to the Best for Bride in Barrie after a horrific experience at David's Bridal. It was great that I was able to just walk in and be served right away on a Sunday afternoon, whereas David's Bridal required an appointment at least a month in advance, and what a joke that place was. I was assisted by a new consultant, Brandon who was so great, he brought over several dresses that fit the description of what I was looking for right away. And when trying each dress on he would give me the time and space I needed to gather my thoughts about the dress, and then would help me talk it through when I came out of the changeroom. For little things I didn't like about each dress, he would help me brainstorm ways to alter them, as he was a designer and had made several dresses in the past. He was such a delight and so very helpful. I thought I would feel uncomfortable with a man assisting me but it just wasn't the case, he was great and really made the experience a positive one. It was also great not to have to go back into Toronto to look for a dress, as I was travelling from Northern Ontario. The location was easy to find, close to the highway and the store had a good selection of beautiful dresses that even fit my small budget. Thank you Best for Bride for the great experience! I can't wait for my dress to come in and I get to relive the experience all over again!

The sales staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Over all a good experience, however maybe a weekday appointment might be less crazy.

I visited Best for Bride today with my mom. It was the first store I was going to for finding a wedding dress. I was very nervous that nothing would look good on me. Rose was helping me and helped to make me see that I do look good in the dresses, even a ball gown (the kind I read I should avoid based on my body type). She was very patient with me as I was there for THREE hours!! I tried on so many dresses and honestly loved them all. Rose was very knowledgeable about the dresses and helped me in and out of each one. I felt very comfortable. She showed me veils and changed lighting in the room so I could see the dress in different light. I am so grateful for all her help and can't wait to return tor a second appointment! After trying on over 20 dresses at various stores, I finally found my wedding dress at Best for Bride in Barrie. It was nothing like my previous experiences where the sales people didn’t seem to understand what I said. Here, Olga was on board with my idea immediately. She started showing me dresses that fit my vision and before I knew it, there was the perfect dress, well within budget. Excellent job Olga, I am so glad I found you!

My overall experience at Best for Bride in Barrie was not the greatest! I did not get the one on one experience I expected to have the first time I went to look at dresses, I had made an appointment but was not given the attention I feel should have been given. I did find the dress of my dreams and love it but it was not the best experiences because when I went to try on the dress that Taylor order for me, it was too small! Taylor thought that she would be able to get away ordering me a size 8 when it clearly around the waist would be too small so my dress would not even do up. When Taylor tried to do the dress up, she broke the clasp off, there was no way the dress was going to do up. Taylor wanted me to meet with the seamstress to see if it was fixable and would be able to be let out, to me that is not right. Taylor had said that she would be there for me to meet with the manager and the seamstress but she was nowhere to be found. When I went to try on the dress for the manager and the seamstress, the seamstress did not even bother coming because the manager had told her not to worry about it because she was going to try to order me the correct size. I now had to wait another four months for my dress to be made. When I went to go pick up the dress, I found the girls to be very rude and not helpful when trying on the dress. They had also made a remark saying that the dress was now too big and needed to be taken in a few inches. I would rather the dress be taken in than let out. They were not helpful at all, I had to ask about the veils when trying on my dress because I was told that when I got my dress we would try on veils to see which one I liked best. It was like they were just trying to rush me out of there. I was not overall happy with the customer service that I received.

This shop is amazing!!! I'm a "mature" (58) bride and have had trouble finding an appropriate dress! ROSE was the perfect assistant for me. She found an abundance of choices, all excellent. It was very hard to choose. The available selection, in all price ranges and styles, was a delight. Rose gave excellent advice and her honest opinion. I NEVER FELT PRESSURED! I cannot recommend the Barrie site or Rose enough! Thank you!

Best For Bride in Barrie is a great place to look for your prom dress! I went in with my friend on a Friday morning and the ladies (Rosie & Taylor) were very helpful to both of us! We had a good time trying on dresses and did not feel pressured or rushed. They have great dress selection but I do recommend going on weekdays instead of weekends as they have a lot of brides coming in for appointments then. Good prices too! My best friend, my sister-in-law and now myself have all used Best For Bride to purchase our wedding dresses!! Out of all the stores they have the most comfortable change rooms and I felt most comfortable with the staff. My only complaint is that I was told it would be 7 months to get my dress in... I was not told that they were allocating alteration time into this number and so I ordered my dress in a panic when I didn't actually need to be stressed at all about it! Other than that this was the best no pressure experience of wedding dress shopping! Also the reassurance after I had purchased it that I could "come in any time and try it on/look at it" was icing on the cake! Check it out!

Shopping at Best for Bride for my wedding dress was so great! Taylor did an awesome job of pulling dresses and making suggestions for me! She was patient and knowledgeable about the dresses and even knew when to step in a speak up for me when I started to feel overwhelmed. It took me a few visits of trying on the same dress over and over again to finally make a decision. I was so worried about what everyone else would think but Taylor reminded me that it didn't matter! We were here for my granddaughter, Rylan. When we went into the store we were greeted and shown the dresses to look over. At first we were a bit intimidated by all the gowns and which sizes were best to try on. The young lady that assisted us made it much easier once we told her the things that Rylan did not want. She let us browse through and also made a few choices for Rylan to try. Once we had about 6 or 7 dresses, we moved into the seating area and waited for Rylan to come out with each one on. I can’t remember our attendants name but she had long hair in a blueish green colour. She was very helpful and narrowed the 3 top choices down to the 3 favourites and then had Rylan try them on again. We all gave Rylan feedback and she made her choice. The whole experience was wonderful and we left the store very happy. I have to commend the store assistant for making the trip successful and so enjoyable.

My Fiancee and I went for our very first time just to get some ideas for a dress she would like for our wedding. We were both extremely excited until the ladies that worked there try to decide the dress for her and were extremely snappy, this was supposed to be fun and exciting but ended up with my Fiance crushed and leaving in tears. If you're going to work in the industry atleast share the excitement and not shoot down our dreams for our wedding. Definitely will not be returning to this location.

I loved my experience at Best For Bride, it was my first time in a bridal shop and they made me feel comfortable. Milaine is truly amazing at her job; I showed her some styles I had in mind and she found many in my price range. She is a WIZARD with clips too! I haven't decided on my dress yet but that's only because it's very early in my search. Don't be surprised if you see me again soon! Note for guests, due to hardwood floors they ask that shoes be removed. They offer sanitized slippers but if you're not comfortable with that then bring socks!

The staff at Best for Bride are so professional on their field. I had told them my vision of the perfect wedding dress as no store seemed to carry what I wanted. But when I talk about my idea with Olga, she got exactly what I wanted. She showed me a dress and demonstrated how it could be customized to meet my vision. Would not recommend Best for Bride after my experience this week. I understand businesses have had to adjust during the pandemic, but the runaround I experienced this week was absolutely frustrating. My first visit to order a bridesmaid dress a couple of months ago went fairly well. I called to book an appointment and that process went smoothly. Staff were welcoming and helpful and they answered any questions I had. They rush ordered my dress so there was ample time for alterations before the Novemeber wedding. Once I received confirmation my dress had arrived, the email indicated for customers to use a link to book an appointment online to pick up/schedule fitting for alterations. Using that link I booked an appointment and indicated I would need alterations. The website said I would receive a confirmation email, which I did not receive that day or the next morning (the day of my appointment). I sent a brief email to the store asking if my appointment was confirmed. Milaine called me and said that the store wasn't even open that day, even though the website booking tool clearly indicated that it was. She offered to stay until 1pm that day so I could just pick up my dress, which wasn't what I wanted as I had said I wanted alterations done. I asked if there was another day this week I could book an appointment. She told me the following day at any time was fine. I confirmed that 1 pm the next day was okay, and she said it was and she would be there. She also said i would receive a confirmation email for that day, which I never did. I drove an hour from out of town that day and arrive at 1 pm to find the store closed. I called the store in case someone was inside and just hadn't opened the store yet. No reply. I emailed, as Milaine had responded quickly to emails previously, still no response. Thinking maybe the employee opening the store was late, I waited 30 min in the parking lot. I left to do grocery shopping and returned at 2 pm, thinking maybe I had made a mistake with the time slot. Still closed. I checked the posted store hours on the door and the website and both indicated the store was supposed to be open at 11 am. At about 2:40 pm employees arrived to open the store for 3 pm. I walked in, no greeting from three of them at the desk. I asked to pick up my dress and the woman asked if I would like to try it on. I said I did not as I just wanted to get home after having sat around for 2 hours waiting to try on my dress. She did not offer an apology or even inquire about the mix up. Needless to say, I paid for my dress as quickly as possible and will get alterations done elsewhere. I also informed the other bridesmaids who ordered their dresses from this location about the lack of communication and customer service I received and to look into other places for alterations.

I went in looking for a dress ASAP. So much wedding planning I forgot to look for my dress... Taylor was so helpful! She showed me the clearance section and a few stylists that could have a dress delivered in 2-3 weeks. She asked me what I was looking for and we got looking. I explained I wasn't looking for a strapless or spaghetti strap style as I was self conscious and she explained that wedding gowns are designed to hold everything in place and that if I found a dress I liked we could always have a strap or sleeve added. I did get my dress there when they first opened and that experience was great, but my more recent experience was even better. My mother turned 75 and she has never had the opportunity to wear a wedding dress. I had the crazy idea that I would take her for her birthday and Rose was amazing. We spent two hours trying on dresses and my mom laughed, cried a little, and laughed some more. It was the best experience for her, and for a store to put in that effort knowing that there would not be a sale really says something about how they treat people. Just incredible. Thank you.

I walked in without an appointment and immediately felt welcomed! I was a bit nervous but Taylor put me right at ease. She gave us a quick tour of the bridal racks and asked a few questions about my preferences and then let me pick anything I wanted to try! We never felt rushed and she was always within reach to answer our questions. I am plus sized so I was concerned about sample sizes but they have a great variety and I was able to get into many styles that weren’t my size with a few adjustments by Taylor. She brought me fancy straps to try with the dresses I liked and brought me endless options as we discovered what I liked and didn’t. I ended up spending 3 hours with these ladies and we had such a wonderful experience the whole time. I felt very comfortable and was never pressured to buy or to make a decision quickly. Taylor made note of the styles that I loved and was completely understanding of my desire to keep looking, encouraging me to be sure I choose the dress I love! Initially our experience was ok. Average at best. However, when we went in for our first fitting no one said hi to us, the seamstress didn't introduced herself and she just walked away to the changing rooms before we even had our shoes and coats off. This made my bridesmaids very uncomfortable. Seeing the discomfort the store attendant and the seamstress did nothing to change the atmosphere, even after my complaint (I'm the bride). The seamstress was more concerned about the zipper ripping then the comfort of the people she was working with. I openly complained again and things started to get better. Unfortunately, at this point, my bridesmaid was so far gone she wanted nothing more then to leave. I hope the dresses come back perfect because that is all this store has going for them. If you want be the best act like it. Try helping us with our coats, taking the slippers out so it is easy to put on and shaking our hands so we feel welcomed. This is basic customer service. ~ January 09 2018 *Update* I ended up back at this store because my mother said the seamstress is a master. She wasn't kidding! There was a complete attitude change from everyone in the store and the store was super busy. No one seemed frazzled or as if we were inconveniencing them. The front counter acted friendly and genuinely happy to us again. The seamstress here not only fixed the horrific job my previous seamstress did, but she found more areas of my wedding dress to refine. I am so happy! She actually saved the dress and a life time of disappointment. Thank you Best for Brides for stepping it up and making this right! I will recommend you to others now!

I went with my sister (the bride-to-be) and mom the other day to pick out a wedding dress. There was a wide variety of dresses to try on and Taylor was very helpful, giving us extra information and advice about the dresses my sister tried on. I previously went to Best for Brides for bridesmaid shopping and had a great experience so it was top of my mind when looking for my wedding dress and the experience was even more than I hoped for. Milaine made sure I had the correct veil all the details of the dress before I said yes. Ordering time was reasonable and will give me lots of time for alterations. The store was a great size as was the dressing room. However, the lighting made it difficult to view the dresses. Our consultant, who was supposed to be helping the bride, would leave and not come back until we finally started clamping the dresses ourselves. Sometimes the bride would try on a dress and come out for us to view and would be in another dress before the lady came back. It took away from the excitement of trying on wedding dresses. The store was gorgeous as were the dresses however the customer service was incredibly disappointing and I find that highly important.

WORST BUSINESS EVER. They told my girlfriend her wedding dress would not be ready until february or april so when she called to see if her dress was in, they said it had been there since NOVEMBER! They insist they called her twice and left voicemails; however she didnt have a single missed call or message left for her from anyone at this business. Due to their incompetence, now every single one of her bridesmaids (myself included) must pay an extra $60 for a rush fee on our dresses. I then called earlier this week to find out if my dress has been there because only a few of our ladies got called to say the dress was in & SURPRISE SURPRISE it's there & again they decided incompetence was the way to go when it comes to letting clients know about their dresses. They asked for a good review; but I'm going to leave a much more honest one. THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY! Go somewhere else! Incompetence is the only thing they specialize in here!

This store is pathetic. Terrible customer service and poor quality dresses. We spent 3200 on her wedding dress and 1800 on 4 bridesmaids dress. They were all falling apart by the end of the night. We were planning on wearing the dresses for three other occasions, and now we can’t. The boning in the wedding dress collapsed. We had to make a shawl for the bride to wear in the evening, because her breasts kept falling out. Also, part of the lining underneath completely came apart in one huge chunk. As for the bridesmaids dresses, all of them popped three of four buttons. They were fitted perfectly, so this should not have happened at all. They all needed to change dresses before dinner. For $450, they should have been able to wear them for multiple occasions to come. The seems we’re coming unraveled along the hip area. The beading along the front was lifting off. The one dress’s beading is almost completely off. Also, on one, the entire lining underneath came out in a big chunk as well. We were referred to you as a high quality bridal store. We didn’t mind spending the money because it was exactly what we wanted. We voiced our concerns and the store owner said it wasn’t her problem. We will never recommend this store to anyone or shop here ever again. Pathetic.

I went with my daughter to the Barrie location to find her prom gown. The experience was just amazing, I couldn't have wished for anything better. They made her feel so comfortable and allowed her to browse around by herself for a bit. The consultant who was helping us was so kind and welcoming. - Huge selection of dresses - The young girl assisting my sister and I was sweet and kind and did a wonderful job making sure that we were taken care of however, it pains to me say that she seemed new, not yet fully trained, lacked knowledge and skills around pinning the dresses etc. Everyone has to start somewhere, and she is definitely going to shine there one day, I simply wish that she wasn't on her own just yet, as I felt she didn't have all the necessary tools yet to ensure the brides best chance at finding the one!

5 stars isn't enough! I booked a two hour appointment 10-12, and was all over the place with my decisions. My AMAZING consultant, Taylor, was more than patient and understanding with me. She made me feel incredibly comfortable. I ended up not being decisive and came back at 2 and was with Taylor again until 4. She really encouraged me to do what I felt best in. First store I went to for dress shopping and I said YES! I 100% recommend this place. There were many options. I feel confident in my decision. It is a VERY relaxed atmosphere. Went for a Mother of the Bride dress today. It was a Saturday so, of course, the store was busy. Our consultant Maya was amazing!!! We picked out a bunch of styles from a large selection. My maid of honour and I tried dresses on for the first time yesterday at Best for Bride in Barrie. Maya was our consultant and I have to say that she was the best part of the experience! She was not only a sweet heart, she was super helpful and really understood what I was looking for. I got a nice dress but one thing I can say is some of the ladies at the front desk are so serious and a little rude. Also, there were beads missing on my dress and it was a little dirty so I personally had to get that fixed elsewhere, it would've been nice if I had been told that from the beginning or if they could've fixed the price because of it. But I found out the last week picking my dress up that the they could do nothing about it. Regardless they had my dress on time (all thanks to their amazing seamstress Katrin) and it was a short notice. She did a great job. Being that I was alone picking out my dress because my family lives so far it would have been a better experience if their employees could have helped with their opinion when I asked them or at least be more welcoming.

This store is so bad it should be called Worst for Bride. My bridesmaids and I had such a terrible experience from start to finish at this store. It made the process of selecting and ordering bridesmaid dresses so difficult and stressful. They will not take a credit card over the phone, only e-transfer so it was very difficult for out of town bridesmaids to order their dresses and there is a one day delay in processing the e-transfer so ordering and pick up were delayed. The store never answers the phone so my bridesmaids had a very difficult time getting someone to answer their questions about sizing. They mixed up two of my bridesmaids and almost missed including their dress in the order. Two of the dresses were shipped to the wrong location for pickup. One of the dresses was not ordered with the rest, which delayed delivery by two weeks and the staff blamed me for this error and worried me that the dress would be a different colour as it may have come from a different bolt of fabric than the rest. Then when the dress arrived it was damaged. I addressed all these issues with the manager only to get a generic email response. To top it all off the 15% or 20% percent discount they offer for ordering a certain number of dresses is falsified as I confirmed that one of our Dessy dresses is $284 - regular price at another store but my bridesmaid ordered the same dress at Best for Bride - regular price 312 and brought down to 282 WITH the 20% discount. Save yourself TONS of hassle and purchase your bridesmaid dresses ELSEWHERE!

Upon first searching for a dress for my upcoming prom I was highly anxious. It stressed me out more than it brought me excitement. For starters I thought all the prettiest dresses were online, but I have been warned about the dangers of online shopping for dresses. The issues varying from how it fits to how it looks in person. So I wasn't about to go waste my money on that. In regards to finance I know spending more than $300 on a dress you're going to wear for one night is completely unpractical and therefore I shouldn't do so. I also just flat out hate shopping. I dread the idea of going out and trying things on. I don't usually have fun shopping, however showing up in a boutique with some of the friendliest staff was kind of refreshing. I did not have an appointment, yet they treated me just like the bride-to-bes who did. They have a large selection of beautiful gowns and when I saw mine, I was smitten. I went looking elsewhere so I didn't settle on the first thing I saw that day, but I could not stop thinking about that dress. It is, in my opinion, absolutely stunning and made a few of the other patron's jaws drops. And it was a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be. Like a lot . So in short .This story has an incredibly friendly staff and if you're looking for "the dress" at a fairly reasonable price, I absolutely recommend, at the very least, paying them a visit .

I would never recommend Best for Bride in Barrie after the horrible experience my daughter and myself had yesterday! We have had friendlier, more professional help at a clothing shop at the mall compared to this place! My daughter booked an appointment online and received a confirmation of the time/day of the appointment on her phone. When we showed up for the appointment my daughter could see someone with a dress on looking in the mirror at herself. When we went into the store a woman yelled out from the change room asking if we had an appointment. My daughter told her the time of her appointment and gave her name. The woman/consultant then yelled out in a very rude, unpleasant tone that the appointment was at 3:00...she then said to give her a minute because she wasn't dressed!!?? I asked my daughter to get the confirmation on her phone ready so we could show it to her when she came out. When she came out we thought we were coming to a yoga class because of her unprofessional attire! We thought we would be greeted with a "hi how are you/good afternoon thank you for coming my name is so and so" and then we planned on showing the consultant the confirmation! OMG I could not believe how rude, unpleasant and unprofessional this consultant was to us! She did not greet us or make any eye contact with us (maybe she was embarrassed because we caught her playing dress up) She just stomped directly over to her computer and fumbled about to put on a mask...there was just an awkward silence so I spoke up and told her that my daughter has a confirmation on her phone for the appointment time for 4:00 but she still insisted that on their end the appointment time was for 3:00...no apology for the glitch in the system/mix up with the time, she just made us feel that she was annoyed with us! Things could have gone so differently if she just would have pleasantly apologized for the mix up and in a friendly manner asked us to stay(there was no one else there) Instead because of her rude, unpleasant and unprofessional tone/attitude we did not stay! It was heartbreaking for a mother to see her daughter so disappointed and upset on a day that should have been a special, fun and memorable day! Thankfully we did have a pleasant experience earlier that day at another Barrie bridal shop!

Recently, I had received a phone call that my dress is ready and I can’t wait to pick it up and thank the Best for Bride Barrie team in person for making my experience shopping for a wedding dress so wonderful.

Just left this store and I have to say I was utterly disgusted. My daughter was there to try on grad dresses. We arrived and were not greeted at all by the 3 sales people. Even though I did say excuse me a couple of times to one of the sales ladies, she did not respond so I decided to be my own salesperson. We spent the next hour getting our own dresses to try on, listening to the 3 sales ladies gossip about their day. An hour after we got there someone came to ask if we needed anything. I said we didn’t as we had already been there for an hour and tried on 20-30 dresses. She said to let her know if we need anything. We started to leave and the 3 sales ladies didn’t even stop their conversation to ask if we needed anything, just kept gossiping about their last client this time. My daughter heard the one say that when the last client turned sideways she looked like a stuffed sausage! Not one person looked up, asked if we needed anything before we left or said goodbye, have a nice day! I’m seriously disgusted with the customer service in this dress shop. I wouldn’t order ONE of the beautiful dresses my daughter tried on simply because of the lack of professionalism in this establishment!

Had an appointment for my mom to get a mother of the bride dress. Walked in was very rudely told where the dresses were. Was not helped at all, had a ridiculous order time. Was there for 20 minutes and had no help, therefore we left because we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Promptly went to another bridal store in Barrie and had a much better experience.

My sister also got engaged shortly after I did, and we loved it here so much that she got her dress here also....didn't even have to look anywhere else...we have completely different styles...but we knew this store would have exactly what she was looking for. I was going in with my eyes set on a certain style, we had a bunch put together and as we were heading to the dressing room Sabrina chose one last dress and asked me if I would be interested in trying it on, wasn't my style at all but I did like the subtle sparkle. I tried a couple but the second I put on the last minute dress she picked out I knew, it was MY dress. I was very iffy about the place when I walked in as it was very dated and so I thought this definitely wouldn't be the place I find THE dress. They don't welcome you when you arrive and definitely don't make you feel wanted. I guess with there being limited dress shops they can do what they want. I went in this past Sunday and had the pleasure of getting to work with Taylor. She was absolutely amazing to work with and very kind. What set Best for Bride (Barrie location) apart from other bridal stores I've been to was working with someone who genuinely cared about what I was looking for and focused on helping me figure out what I wanted. Taylor let me look around, I pulled 3 dresses and next thing I know, there were 6 others waiting for me to try on as well which all had looks I was going for. While I was trying on dresses (and ultimately had already decided on the one I wanted) she came back with even more and wanted me to not feel as if I was settling. Not only did she pick out even more dresses, she help myself and my mom with showing the dress through whatsapp to my closest aunt and friend. At the end of my appointment, I bought the dress of my dreams and although wedding planning has not been anything of what I was hoping for and due to the pandemic, my bridal party was not available to make the appointment, having Taylor be the one to assist me really made this whole process less stressful and a really happy time! Thank you Taylor for all of your assistance and I cannot wait for my dress to come in so we can see it in Ivory for the first time together!

I had my first try-on today and my experience was exceptional. the consultant helping me was Taylor and I do not have enough good things to say. Because its in the middle of Covid, she allowed us to set up a video call with family members that couldn't make it. After letting my two bridesmaids and I pick out whatever dresses we wanted to try on, she grabbed a few that she felt suited my style, and every single one was amazing. (I ended up choosing one of her recommendations) There was another group of girls coming in who had booked the whole shop nearing the end of my appointment. I never felt rushed even though there was a time limit to allow for the next girls to have their appointment. She was efficient, listened to what I liked and was beyond friendly. Id give her more stars if I could.

Booked an appointment with the store and did not receive the treatment that a bride should have. Lady who greeted my mother and I took us over to the dresses, and after I stated that I wanted to see their clearance section, left us there to look after ourselves, even though she stated upon entry that she wanted to find something to do and it was a slow day. No measurements were taken and no help was given. We looked through their bridesmaids dresses, since they did not have any in colour. Sizes were way too big for me, me being petite, I only found one that was in my size and in the colour I liked, so I tried it on to see how it looked. I stood in the fitting room for several minutes as the lady left again. I heard another staff member in the store, say to another bride, that colour dresses look bad in photos, they fade and that white is the best choice. Lady returned after several more minutes, and we decided to leave, she spoke to me in a patronizing way, handed me a card, asked me to come back later, and shuffled us out the door. No customer service skills and no variety in the Barrie location. Save your money and shop somewhere else that treats you with respect and makes you feel special like the bride you are.

I had a wonderful experience at Best for Bride in Barrie! My consultant, Sabrina, was fantastic at understanding my vision and pulling dresses that aligned with it perfectly! I also loved that at this store, you and your bridal party are free to browse and pull any dresses that interest you. I went into dress shopping with a clear idea of what I wanted, so I really appreciated being able to just look through them for myself! Best for Bride in Barrie also puts on a whole "mock-isle" experience with music, special lighting, and a full walk for you to do in front of your bridal party and whoever else you bring with you! This really made it all feel so real! I highly recommend looking for your dream wedding dress at this store! I can't wait for my groom-to-be to see mine!

Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable staff. I booked my appointment online. There is plenty of parking available. Even with a rush order, a large selection of dresses in plus size are displayed to model. Taylor had an answer for every question and alleviated any concerns while assisting me in trying on dresses. The change rooms are large with seating and plenty of natural light in front of the mirrors. It seemed a relaxed, fun atmosphere on a busy weekend for all of the customers in the store. I am excited for my dress to arrive and the alterations process.

What an adorable boutique! Best for Bride has a vast collection of wedding gowns and formal dresses! I am a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding and went to Best for Bride in a group of 9 people. I went to the Barrie location to select a bridesmaid dress for myself for a friend who is getting married elsewhere. I called the day of to see if they had Mori Lee dresses in stock and to my delight, they had the entire collection. They have a huge selection of dresses and I was pleasantly surprised! They were able to accommodate an appointment for me that same day within the hour! Rose was such a great help. She was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about style and sizing. My experience with her was great. I did not feel rushed at all. I could take my time, think things through, and get Rose's advice on which dress she thought looked best on me! She was polite and helpful throughout. I was not quite ready to order as I was deciding between two options and Rose was super helpful in letting me fill out the paperwork / order form in advance, fit me for the dress, & give me directions on how to order it via email. We shall see how the dress is when it arrives but thus far, great experience.

I tried bigger bridal shops in the city and did not receive anywhere as good service as best for bride! I am from the London area and went to Barrie (a 3 hour drive) to visit my daughter who recently moved there. While there, my daughter and future daughter in law decided to go shopping for a Mother of the bride dress for my sons upcoming wedding. We chose "Best for Bride" to shop at due to the good reviews we saw when we searched the internet for bridal shops in Barrie. When we entered the door, we were greeted with a very enthusiastic sales person named Brandon. He was very friendly and directed us to the area where we may find what we were looking for as well as told us about the sales that were happening at that time. Without being a pushy salesman, he was helpful by taking the dresses for us to the dressing room and even allowing me to try a dress on that was on a mannequin for display. The fun began when i started trying on approximately a dozen dresses. Along with my girls, he was very honest with me as to which dress looked good and which didn't without being insulting in any way. The first dress I tried on, which happened to be the one from the mannequin, was the winner and Brandon once again was excited to say ``Are you saying YES to this dress!`and I said YES and we all clapped and had so much fun! I must say the other women in the store were honest and complimentary as well. So in the long run, I could have purchased this dress much closer to my home town but after such a great experience with Brandon, I definitely wanted him to get my sale. They also gave me a little break in the price of the dress which was even more of a bonus! So after a wonderful experience, I just felt the need to give Brandon a big hug for being such an awesome salesmen and kudos to the owner for employing a male in their bridal shop! I have no doubt he will win over many others with his charming personality! Can't wait for the wedding to wear this beautiful gown! Thank you again Brandon for your great salesmanship!

I was a walk in bride on Friday January 31st, 2020. The ladies explained how the showroom was priced and layout. It was colour coded Depending on your budget. I was with my mother and sister, we started to pick out dresses and the lady explained that you leave it hanging on the end of that section and she will come and put it in your change room. This was my first time trying on dresses so I was already nervous. Maya was amazing. She gave me her honest opinion on the dresses when I had them on and she made me feel comfortable in my own sink(clearly I’m plus size). She laughed and joked with us and just have a warm feeling to her. If I had any questions she was able to answer them and if she was not to sure she went and asked. ( i work retail and I think that’s the best thing to do rather then give a wrong answer). She was so patient and understanding with everything and always asked if I wanted to stay in the dress longer to see if I truly loved it. Let me say I did walk out with my dream dress, I did cry and so did Maya.( she tryed to hold it back but you could see in the mirror...) She looked at me and said you look beautiful and this is your dress. To know that a woman who doesn’t know you started to cry with you just made my experience more real. I walked out confident knowing she was by my side as well as my mother and sister. Ladies I recommend Best for Bride 1000% My sister got married in 2018 and she went here as well. They have unbelievable customer service and I’m so happy I went back to get my dress. Thank you again Maya for everything you have done! I can’t wait for my dress to come in and to see you!

By the way the coupons provided should have an options for dresses under $500 or less options too, not just over $1000.

What a horrible wedding dress shopping experience this past Saturday! Supposed to be a fun day for a bride but not so much for me. To start it off, I had requested Taylor as my consultant (because I had heard good things) and upon arriving had been told that she will not be in that day. So someone else would be taking care of me. At one point I had a dress on that I somewhat liked, probably the only one I was remotely interested in at the store and my consultant literally told me while I was wearing the dress that it was the dress she hated most in the store, like sorry, what did you just tell me?! Then throughout the appointment the consultant was nowhere to be found. My bridesmaids had to help me in and out of dresses and do them up for me. The consultant did not pay attention to me at all! So much for feeling special. Then at the end of the appointment (just before I had told them that I had enough) I didn't see the consultant for about 20- 25 min, she just disappeared. Then after I said I was done and wanted to leave the consultant says to me something along the lines of "sorry, but I had to take care of the other ones as they were actually making a purchase". I will not be recommending this place to any bride who wants to feel special while shopping for their dream dress!

Taylor is amazing, totally helpful. Help me realize that what I thought I had in mind really didn't suit me and I didn't like and completely fell flat on me. Made me feel confident in the dress I found and with having recent weight loss surgery guessing my size that will fit helped me to realize I wasn't far off a size I never thought in years I would fit into was no longer into plus sizes. If anyone I know is going to be looking I'm recommending best for Bride and specifically Taylor. I went to Best for Bride with my mom and sister just to browse and get an idea of styles because we had a very limited amount of time to look. Little did I know, I was going to find THE dress! I was very happy with the service I received from Brandon who was able to work with my small budget to find me the perfect dress. He gave advice and help as needed but also gave my mom and sister space to help me as well. He was friendly and genuine and I would recommend asking for him when you go. On the other hand, I was not impressed with the store manager, Denise, who mostly seemed to ignore me while I was there. I got the feeling that it was because my budget wasn't high enough for her. The reason for this is that I assumed she was busy getting ready for her fashion show that evening, but when someone else came in, she gave them lots of attention. The only attention she gave me was to insist that I should try on a lace dress, which she then brought to me, apparently without asking Brandon or I about my budget. When I tried on this lace dress, I loved it, but found out after I had it on that I was not going to be able to afford it. I was very unhappy to hear this news, because I had specifically said that I would not try anything on over my budget in case I fell in love with it. I was having a difficult time deciding between this dress and the one I ended up purchasing, and I did not appreciate that I had to choose one over the other because of finances. No bride should have their experience trying on dresses marred by that. Brandon was extremely apologetic, but it was not his fault that I was given this dress to try on and he also didn't know that it was a higher price. Thankfully, there were reasons other than financial that I preferred the dress I bought. I am still very happy with the service I received from Brandon, and I am thrilled about the beautiful dress I will be wearing for my wedding!

I had such a great experience at Best for Bride. We worked with Taylor who is very experienced. She was so welcoming, personable and just all around nice to deal with. She really showed that she cared by helping me to visualize myself in the dress on my big day by adding little touches like a veil, necklace, hair piece, etc. She even helped me to put my hair up nicely so that I could see what it would look like up and down with the dress. She also explained the alternatives for me in terms of the colour and add-ons. My appointment time was from 1-3pm, but I did not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. I even ended up staying until 5pm (wandering around in the dress for an hour and a half) and as a result, I found my dress! Would highly recommend if you are looking for an experienced consultant.

I was extremely disappointed from the beginning and wish I never wasted my time coming to the store. The website was extremely aggravating to navigate through. Every time I clicked on a dress to expand the dress and read the specs I could not then return to the same spot on the original list page with the same preferences selected. Even my bridesmaids were annoyed when I would send them the link to check out a particular dress. I somehow was able to endure and I found four dresses in the Jasmine collection that was advertised on your site that I fell in love with, and so did my bridesmaids. So, in a snow storm I arrive at the store with my MOHs only to learn that you don't carry any of the Jasmine designer at all. The designer that advertised ON YOUR WEBSITE. Why? I don't know, no one seemed to have an answer other than a careless shrug. Further, before I even have my boots off, I am told by the sales associate that any dress I select probably won't be ready in time for my end of July wedding. I wanted to walk out right then, but instead I wasted two hours of my day at a store that uses time-crunch pressure tactics to scare brides into buying dresses from a boutique that advertises dresses they don't even carry.

I had a good experience in salon however when i found a dress i loved in another salon, i inquired about the price through best for bride. Firstly, the person i was emailing gave me the price for an entirely different dress and then said they could only match the other price. Very disappointing as their website clearly states "lowest price guarantee" plus i was offered $100 off which was also not honoured. Terribly disappointing that they dont honour what is advertised.

Throughout my search for a dress we found Best for Bride had the best consultants. Taylor was fantastic. She was the best consultant I had for clamping dresses that were too big, giving suggestions for dress that were a bit small and anticipating which dress you'd want to try on next based on your reaction. I was very excited to be able to finally go dress shopping. When I was ready to shop at the end of March, everything shut down due to Covid-19. I was in contact with Olga via email with questions knowing you should shop for your dress at least 6 to 8 months before the wedding date. My wedding was to take place October 2020. Olga guided me to the website and said to take a look at the selection and to book an appointment when things opened up. I went on the website and book a potential appointment in June. Then I notice that they had a VIP Package, so I book one at the Barrie location. Let me tell you it is worth it. Having the store to ourselves for 2 hours before the store open was great. When my girls and I arrived for the appointment, Taylor greeted us with a smile. She went through the pricing system and the selections on each rack. This was extremely helpful. I went with a specific dress in mind. I had a picture from Best for Brides website. When I showed Taylor, she informed me they did not have that particular one, but she pulled a dress from the same designer with the same type of bodice, just without sleeves. I let my bridesmaids loose and they chose a variety of dresses for me. After trying the bundle of dresses that were pulled, it came down to 2. The one I ended up choosing was the one Taylor pulled right at the beginning. Taylor was very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and she took the time to get to know me, which made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. When it comes time for my bridesmaids to shop for their dresses, they have told me they want Taylor to be the consultant. I am a plus size and it was very nice that they had a variety of plus size dresses available to try on. It made my day as I could envision myself in the dress on my wedding day. I came to Barrie to shop for the dress I would wear for my daughter’s wedding. I already had a dress in mind and the staff had kept it ready for me to try at my appointment. The dress was more Beautiful than in the picture, but somehow it didn’t seem to look nice on me. So, my consultant Lucy suggested a few other dresses from their collection and before I knew it, I had found the perfect dress. I am very impressed by the expertise and professionalism of the ladies at Best for Bride. You cannot go wrong if you trust their suggestions.

Barrie's Best Bridal Shop. Has the most selection and best change room setup. Lots of room to roam and breathe...other shops in Barrie are small and squished. Good, helpful staff! Shopped here as a bride and bridesmaid!

This was my second visit to Best for Bride. In 2013 I bought a gown for my 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. This was the first store I had ever shopped for a wedding dress and I bought a dress picked out on my first visit. The service was very good with large change rooms. The ladies who work there are very honest and professional and helpful. They didn't really give me any pressure to make the purchase / order right away in order to get the discount for getting a dress picked out from your first visit. The store can get very busy at weekends. I didn't get the 2 full hours that I booked for one-on-one on my first visit but it's understandable as they have to help other customers as well.

I've experienced buying from the barrie location as a brides maid and now a bride. It is a big facility with a TON to choose from in a wide range of prices. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their dresses and will look anything up if you have questions. With covid I picked a VIP session which was so relaxing as we were the only ones in the store. Had a wonderful time here and was able to find my dress and my brides maid dresses in one session. I went to Best for Brides in Barrie back in October. A lovely lady named Glenda helped me....I narrowed my search to three beautiful dresses. Due to work and holidays I didn't return until January. This time Donna was there to help me. At the end of the day I selected my dress that I originally loved back in Oct and two of my three girls found their dresses too. Best for Brides made what I thought was going to be the dreaded search for a dress actually very pleasant and fun. I have since returned to get my third girls dress. This was the most fun I have had since I started planning our wedding. The staff at Best for Bride in Barrie are so friendly and helpful - especially Milaine! There is a great dress selection. As a plus sized girl I thought I would have trouble finding a dress that fit; however, it turns out my problem was too many dresses fit and looked amazing! The first bridesmaid dress Milaine suggested looked amazing on every lady in the bridal party, sizes ranging from 0 to 26. We did not anticipate it would be this easy. I would highly recommend this store if you are planning a wedding.

Great experience! This store has a large selection of dresses. My consultant was Milaine and she was amazing. Listened to what I had in mind, knowledgeable, professional and not at all pressured to just sell me a dress. I was not rushed, could try on a number of dresses and try on again the top 2 contenders. It ended up that Milaine knew exactly what would work best for me and my day and it was her suggested dress that ended up being THE dress!! The dress is one I never would have picked on my own, so trust her!! I highly recommend this store and Milaine in particular.

I would recommend anyone to come to this location (Barrie ) . I have tried 3 other bridal shops and nothing compared to this one . I was able to look through my dress, and choose what I would like & try it on. I wasn’t ever able to do that with any other bridal stores. Being plus size you get a limited option to try on but not at best for brides , Milaine made me feel amazing , comfortable, welcoming , I was able to try on smaller dresses and all she did was put some material at the back to cover me up and it made me feel like a million bucks , you don’t get that at other bridal shops you get your size and that was it . Another thing I loved about this bridal shop once I had my wedding dress on , I wasn’t bugged and pressured into anything , she was there when I needed her but I was able to speak with my family and get there opinion in private . I drove 2 hours to shop at best for brides and I’m glad i did . BECAUSE I SAID YES TOO THE DRESS!! Milaine you did an amazing job and recommended anyone to get services from you and thank you again for helping me find my dress !
