Such a beautiful day spent here at the water front. Clean paved pathways for both pedestrians and cyclists. A nice sized beach for the family to enjoy! They have an inflatable water park on the beach as well for kids and adults to have fun on. The marina is well kept. The kids can have a BLAST at the large park beside the beach. There is also a beautiful grass area with lots of shade. Perfect for a picnic.

Nice boardwalk with a good view. The beach area is not that big so it gets busy quickly. The swimming areas are well markered and plenty of lifeguards on duty. Lots of benches and picnic tables along the walk with shade trees. The two standup board rental places are the same price, but the one with the adult employees on the east end seems to be better run. The water slide/park in the lake looks like fun but it seems to be suited for kids under 15. I think Barrie should invest in composite planks for their boardwalk to make it last for a long time. I noticed many of the planks were starting to deteriorate and chip giving off splinters. If you're visiting Barrie make sure you make your way to the waterfront.

Barrie has a beautiful water front. They have made upgrades recently and added a boardwalk to the Sandy beach. If you are coming to Barrie you need to check out the water front. Best part of the city.

One of my favourite spots. It is so beautiful here and free ti anyone to visit. Lots of parking, large, clean park area for picnics and family time at the beach, a large public beach with clean water for swimming that is maybe a little cold, even in the summer. Kids don't seem to care though. Huge playground. Close to downtown and is the location of many festivals.

Went by here not more than 30 minutes ago, friend of mine wanted ice cream and the concession told him they were closing up and not serving anymore ice cream. We ran to the washrooms(which were disgusting) right after, and when we walked by, they were serving ice cream to someone else. WTF. Definitely not going here again. Other than to chill out at the beach.

Amazing getaway from Gta or Kw areas. Short drive roughly 90 mins and you are there on waterfront. Parking is plenty and almost always available because its a rough $10 per hour. If you could manage to find a cheaper or free parking spot do share. Over all a well spent 60 mins to explore a good section of the water front, spirit catcher and sea serpent sculptures.

The main hub of Bairre, the Barrie Water Front always has people at it. In the summer, there's loads of events here, loads of people around walking, kids playing, dogs walking, etc! There's ice cream around in the summer, the playground is excellent, the parking is acceptable, I used to call this place "The Pirate Ship Park" due to my favorite attraction at the park; the pirate ship. Overall, this park is a good addition to the Barrie community, and brings everyone together for big events, namely New Years fireworks.

I love the beach here. The sand is nice and always clean. Lifeguards are present on weekends so it's great for those with younger ones. There's also grassed area for those wanting to sit in the shade!

Kids love the huge inflatable play structure. We were there for 4 hours and they didn't want to leave. Going back again for sure. They get tons of exercise while having fun. It's well worth the cost.

Was a great day until I was told that my dog cant be in the water. The officer told me barrie owns 150 feet out. ..ok 150 of land. You cant own water..no one can. The officer threatened animal control because my dog was in the water cooling off. I will challenge the city next time as the officer was out of line

I just dislike this place because they don't have any parking for RV's near the waterfront but have plenty of parking facility for cars with boat trailers If you require a space to park an RV you must pay for the amount of spaces you use in the car parking if you can find one. y You cannot use a space in the boat launch area even if there are no vehicles in it. Barrie does not wish to make money on RV parking. So do not attempt to go there and spend your money because they don't want us there. I parked there with my RV and called the city to tell them I was going to park there but they told me unless I have a trailer on the back of my RV I could not park there. I believe that this is ridiculous. But anyway I will not spend my money in Barrie. I suggest you don't either. Use your own discretion whenever you are in the Barrie area. Very unfriendly RV area.

They've done a lot of work here over the last few years which is made it a lovely waterfront. However it is ridiculously over on overcrowded on the weekends during summer. It's even quite difficult to find parking so go early, and be prepared for somebody to post up right in front of you on the beach.

Always something going on here. Great park by the beach for the kids, boat launch, and marina. Wheelchair path on the beach; the beach is smaller now because of the boardwalk now; and the beach and park is always very busy Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from.
