We got married at All Saints Event Space and needed someone who could rent a fork lift and use it to hang twinkle lights from the incredibly high ceilings of their historic building. It was so was easy to work with them and the lights where hung flawlessly and definitely a focal point for our reception! Highly recommend!
Since my wife and I are both international we ended up having 2 weddings and had to work with lots of vendor, this was definitely our least favourite and most flaky vendor. The pictures you will see on the internet of their work are amazing but the customer experience, organization and communication is a total nightmare and caused us lots of stress. If you don’t mind not receiving replies to emails for weeks, micromanaging / making checklists for your vendor that get ignored and then not receiving your card box although confirmed via email this might be the right choice. Yes the decor was nice but we had over 130 guests from different countries confused looking for a card box we were supposed to have, leaving envelopes in all kinds of random places or not giving them. We hired a decorator so things would be easier and more organized, that wasn’t the case with Amanda. 2 weeks later we still hear complaints from our guests and receive their thank you cards. We were obviously busy on the wedding day and only learnt about the absence of the card box around 10 pm. Fortunately the venue had a small acrylic box which we used but it was only good for small envelopes. Some people were using a lantern, which according to the decorator Amanda was an alright alternative… No comment here. Amanda’s invoice was not detailed and used generic language such as “centre pieces” or “guestbook/gift table”, because of the lack of specificity we had to confirm everything and all the details via email and asked for photos and confirmations multiple times. The entire process was backward and even though she added the card box to her list and sent us a photo and after the wedding a small 170$ reimbursement she still kept on defending her mistake. She even said that she was providing some free services which we had no idea of? I think that she is not even aware of her agreements and responsibilities. Moreover her mom wrote to us and cced our mom, how professional and mentioned something about European tradition of not having a card box. My wife is European and trust me they use card boxes there.This company is a waste of time and money and according to them the card box is not that important. This is our story hope yours will be better. Our wedding was awesome but it would have been better without Amanda. I wouldn’t work with this company again. We have emails and proof of what happened. Amanda is one of the loveliest people I've met. As a person and as a professional she was so wonderful to work with. We had to plan and re-plan our wedding a couple times (due to Covid-19) and she pivoted the plans every time without hesitation. Our wedding ended up being more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Her attention to detail, willingness to listen to what you want and ability to execute is beyond words. Our wedding was supposed to be April 2020. Obviously this was the beginning of the pandemic, and everything was unprecedented following the closures and wedding cancellations. The Gathering team was so amazing throughout the whole process (leading up to our original date and rescheduling the new date). I absolutely could not have pulled off what they did for our wedding. They listened to all of my wants and ideas, and made my wedding dreams come true (x2). I would recommend the Gathering Event Co to anyone looking for event planning. Highly recommend!!
Amanda and her mother Grace are amazing to work with. Their thoughtfulness, attention to detail and professionalism are outstanding. Amanda and Grace made our wedding vision come to life - the flower arrangements were exactly what I was looking for. Everything was perfect and really made our wedding that much more spectacular. Amanda and Grace were fantastic! I just had my wedding this past weekend and everything we asked from them was perfect. We hired them to do all of our flowers, they took care of all the decor, we rented everything we needed from them, did the set up the day of and they cleaned up for us after. This team can do anything you need for your event. With all the stress of putting the wedding together it’s easy to find fault with anything, but with the ladies at the gathering event company, I could not find any fault. They listened to what we wanted and made it happen. They had great ideas. They were there to keep everything prestine and looking beautiful. All our guests loved the decor. The flowers were beautiful and fresh. I would do it all over again with them. Definitely worth it. Thank you so much for everything.
I absolutely loved working with Amanda, Grace, Steve, and the Gathering Event Co team. Their work is phenomenal. I am not someone who easily chooses and articulates design details, and Amanda was extremely helpful at proposing beautiful concepts that ended up exceeding our expectations. The team even agreed to set up DIY decor that I'd made with all of that 2020/21 pandemic quarantine time. I would highly recommend working with the Gathering Event Co. You will have peace of mind knowing that you are working with a team that is so skilled at what they do and with a designer who has such a great eye.
We chose Amanda to do our wedding decorations after she came highly recommended by our wedding planner (Marianne, Heirloom Events). Amanda joined us on our first site visit and provided us with so many ideas about what we could do with the space. Leading up to the wedding Amanda took all of our concerns about budget to heart and presented us with many budget friendly options for us to choose from. In the end, all of our bouquets and boutonnieres were perfect and so were the centerpieces. Grace was the very first person to greet us after we walked up the aisle. She gave us giant hugs and was genuinely happy for us. We would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone who is looking for wedding décor.
Working with Amanda from The Gathering Event Co was the most amazing experience ever. She simply has a way about her that makes you feel so comfortable right away. She blew me away with her design and her openess to a vision that I couldn't of pulled off on my own. All the decor she chose and the florals were out of this world. I loved how easy she coordinated the whole day and made me feel like I could actually enjoy our wedding. Don't hesisate to work with her, I promise you won't be dissapointed!
I could not have asked for a better decorator for my wedding! Amanda was great to work with from start to finish. She listened to all of my ideas and turned my vision into life, which turned out to be better than I imagined. Our head table was a sweet heart table, which only seats 2 people, so one would think that it would look small in a large banquet hall. But the backdrop that they gave us made it seem so grand and elegant with beautiful ceiling to floor drapery, a hanging chandelier, and gold sequin linen with romantic lit candles at our table. They also provided us with a beautiful card box which fit all of the cards we received from our 120+ guests and had plenty of room for more. Also, their floral arrangements were beautiful. I didn't bother to do a trial with Amanda because I trusted that they would provide beautiful flowers as I had seen on their Instagram page. I loved everything from my bouquet, to the large floral arrangements that they made, and even down to the smallest rose petal... it was perfect. The Gathering Event Company is a great place to go for flowers and decorations. They are affordable with quality service, and are very friendly. At the end of my wedding day, I stayed back for the tear down, and it was so pleasant talking with Grace and their team. I would definitely recommend this company to others! My husband and I got married last week and therefore I don’t have photos at this time but I can not say enough good things about this decor company! Amanda understood our vision from the start and only improved on it from there. Her computer system for quotes was clear and easy to understand, with photos of all decor, so you can picture everything. She has a lovely home office where she set up table examples for us of design. She answered all of the questions we had and guided us on questions we didn’t know we had. She absolutely eased my mind about all the decor planning. She perfectly captured the modern garden ethereal style wedding that represented us, with excellent attention to detail. Our venue organizer also had great things to say about working with them, and that they had done a great jobs there before. The florals on the day we’re absolutely stunning, and when we walked into the decorated venue we were absolutely blown away. I received compliments all night on the decor, especially the head table where they suspended floral pieces and candles from the ceiling! All pricing was very reasonable and well worth the worry free experience. Amanda was both warm and very professional, we absolutely recommend! Thanks again!!!
The Gathering Events Company did an absolutely stunning job for decorating our wedding venue!! Amanda was super fun to work with- she suggests awesome ideas and gets super excited with you throughout the process! From every detail, our decor and florals were perfection. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. One of the amazing things is that they do both decor and florals- it’s a one-stop-shop!
Amanda provided the flowers and décor for our small, 9 guest wedding in Prince Edward County last week. She came recommended by our wedding planner, and wow, are we ever glad we had her!! Everything she did completely exceeded our expectations and fit perfectly within our budget. She personally dropped off the bouquets, in water, right to our room before the ceremony. They were so fresh and fragrant and exactly what I was envisioning! The groomsmen boutonnieres were also exactly what we asked for. We were supposed to get married on the beach with a wooden arch for the ceremony, but when our day turned out to be pouring rain, she quickly adapted and decorated a beach gazebo as our arch so we could still get married outside by the water which was our dream. She even stayed for the ceremony and helped videotape on my mom’s phone so my mom could enjoy the moment and we could still have a video to send to family who couldn’t be there. I’m so thankful that she did that so we can re-live the moment over & over! Right after the ceremony she touched up my bouquet to make sure it was perfect for photos. The reception space which she decorated was beyond perfect and she seamlessly incorporated some special décor items that we brought ourselves. It was like she knew exactly what I was envisioning but then somehow made it 100x better. We had no worries leaving at the end of the night as we knew she would be returning the next morning to clean up the space. Amanda was so kind and pleasant the entire day and every single guest at the wedding spoke about how lovely she was and how great a job she did, especially the moms! When we decided to have a small wedding after our original wedding plans were cancelled due to COVID, we had no idea that it would end up so beautiful. Amanda definitely gave us the entire wedding experience we were hoping for, it wouldn’t have been nearly as special without her. We are still on cloud nine. We were planning to wait until we got professional photos back to include with this review, but we honestly just couldn't wait to share our experience. Thank you Amanda!!
My planner had been searching for a while to find the perfect pieces for our elopement. I was so happy when she suggested the Gathering Event Company because they had the exact decor pieces we needed to bring together the boho/Moroccan inspired elopement we were planning. The decor items we used were beautiful, well taken care of, and at the great price point. I'm thrilled that I was able to have the Gathering Event Co part of my wedding day and would recommend them to any couple looking for some pieces for their next event!

Amanda and Grace are so passionate about what they do and it shows! Amanda was wonderful to work with and very creative with decorating our space. She listened to our vision and turned our venue into a beautiful ceremony and reception space. Our guests were raving about the florals. I’m still obsessed about my bouquet and our wedding arch! I would highly recommend her and her team.
I spoke with someone from their Instagram team to inquire about rental items. They initially responded to my first message asking about quantity, date, etc. After giving them that information they just left my message on read with no response. I followed up with another message asking if they were available for that date but again was left on read. I know this because Instagram shows that messages were “seen”. Still haven’t heard from them and it’s been about 5 days or so. Decided to work with another vendor on renting multiple items. Very poor attitude for a business and so incredibly unprofessional! I’m sure if you took inquires from email only you would not have asked for details from me and would have directed to me email them instead. ???? Messages were read TWICE on separate DAYS giving you the chance to let your potentional customers know to email their inquiries for responses.
Amanda was so easy and great to work with! She helped us plan our outdoor wedding and tent reception outside of Ottawa. From the beginning she was thorough, wanting to visit both our ceremony and reception sites, coming up with vision boards to help us decide what we wanted, and had everything taken care of so we didn't have to worry on our wedding day. Both the wedding arch with beautiful flowers and hanging greenery over our head table were highlights of our wedding that so many of our guests complimented. She turned our wedding reception tent into a dream that both us and our guests awed at. Thank you again Amanda for your amazing work!!
