We chose a two month take-over for our May 2018 wedding. Francesca was our coordinator and she was such an approachable, helpful and beautiful lady. Juggling work, school, moving, plus a wedding was impossible and we are so glad we made the decision to have a coordinator. And not just any coordinator, Francesca was amazing! I had an amazing wedding vendor team and I knew I was in good hands with Francesca planning and leading them. I truly had a stress-free wedding. I was busy to the very last few days with other non-wedding related things. I didn’t have to worry about contact any vendors, or do any planning. And on the wedding day, I was told where to go and what to do. We didn’t even have to worry about clean up as it was taken care of by the decorators and Francesca. We had a morning wedding and my make-up/hairstylist arrived at 6am. During the morning get ready, she repeatedly commented on how calm I was and that I was the “chill-est” bride she has met. She said brides are usually still phoning people, sending messages, etc. I responded saying that I had an awesome wedding team and I had nothing to do other than get myself and the girls ready :) Needless to say, I highly recommend getting the two month take-over and also hiring Smitten Events. In my opinion, it is money well spent to truly enjoy the days leading up to the wedding and the day itself.

Francesca, from Smitten Events, literally swooped in in the midst of Re-planning our wedding in a different country and with a month’s notice due to COVID-19 travel restrictions in the place where my now husband and I live. We are so grateful that we were connected to her as she helped us pull all the details together and make sure our day ran smoothly and on schedule. We got married at Science World Rooftop Garden - a gorgeous venue that does require a lot of work and coordination as everything needs to be brought in. Francesca ensured that all vendors knew when to arrive on the day of so that when we walked in, the space looked beyond our wildest dreams. The schedule she put together for the day of was also honestly perfect with timing down to the tea - hair, makeup, when to eat, photos, etc. it all ran on schedule. I would highly recommend Francesca to any couple, particularly those seeking someone to help them make sure everything runs smoothly so that they can enjoy their special day.

Hiring Jordan Maxey at Smitten Events was the best decision my wife and I made during our wedding planning process. Jordan came on as a full-time planner and for over a year helped create and consolidate our vision, recommended and met with vendors, promptly responded to all our emails, and dealt with any and all issues that arose. She invested so much time in both me and my partner to get to know us better and to fully execute what we wanted. On the day, Smitten events took care of all the coordination, and we could just sit back and enjoy the people and the festivities. I went into our planning sessions with a list of moderately researched vendors and ideas , and came out with lists and key contacts and personal referrals to Vancouver's top wedding vendors. These recommendations are without a doubt what made our wedding so fantastic. Everything from DJ, to cake, to floral, Smitten understood what we wanted and had the right connections for us. I ended up adding on "a la carte" floral and decor vendor management services, and Devon accompanied me to our design meetings and we had an absolute blast turning our vision into real life! After consulting with various planners, I found Smitten not only incredibly professional with lots of industry knowledge, they were humble and it was clear they cared a lot about their clients and the work they did. I loved that they did not charge me for every text or phone call and were available when I had a wedding crises or two on my hands. This was important to me, as weddings are so personal and I didn't want it to feel like a business transaction! Their passion for their work so obvious and made working together so much fun.

I cannot recommend Smitten Events highly enough. I had Devon’s help to plan my wedding (partial planning), and Jordan helped out on the day of as well. It was a really tricky wedding, spanning a whole weekend at a children’s summer camp that doesn’t normally do weddings, so we were on our own to do everything – and they helped pull it all off, so much better than I could have ever imagined. I can’t imagine how it would have been without their help! They even stayed overnight and slept in one of the rustic children’s cabins (as it was the only accommodations available), without hesitation! I am so grateful to these two women, I had the most amazing, carefree day, everything was more beautiful than I could have hoped for, and it is all because of them!

If you are having a wedding, you should definitely use Smitten Events and if you are having a wedding in "The Pipe Shop" then without a doubt, you need Smitten Events! I had planned for my wedding to happen just after the busiest time in my workplace and as much as I didn't want to admit it, I really needed help. Smitten Events not only provided this support but our wedding planner, Devon Dunn, went absolutely above and beyond. Everything that I didn't think about logistically, Devon noticed it right away and brought it to my attention. She organized everything so fantastically amongst the vendors, timing and event that my guests are still telling me how it was "the best wedding [they'd] ever been to" or how they were in absolute "awe in how perfect everything was." Not only did she do an incredible job planning the wedding, Devon is also one of the most genuine human beings I've ever met. Her kindness and understanding nature made for the perfect person to communicate and work with - vendors included. I literally cried at the end of the night because she helped my husband and I achieve our dream wedding and I honestly am going to miss her because she is an amazing, selfless and thoughtful person.
