Sarah was recommended to my husband and I when we were about 5 months out from our wedding date and had found ourselves without a venue. We were stressed and had no idea what direction to go in when we first met with Sarah. She took the very vague vision I had of what type of event we were wanting to host and turned it into the wedding of our dreams. She had found us not only one, but two venues, after the first venue fell through with only two months to go until our wedding. Sarah kept us in the loop at every step of the way and was honest with us when things weren't going perfectly. She was also incredibly optimistic amidst these crazy times of the COVID 19 pandemic. She was always up to date on the restrictions as they changed and had a plan in place for us for any level of restrictions. Our wedding day was perfect for us and I truly mean I when I say that none of it would have been possible without Sarah.
I met Sarah at a floral arrangement workshop that she organized, She was so friendly and welcoming...we got to talking and I mentioned I was eloping later that year in the Rockies but was totally lost as to where to start looking for a venue and vendors for our special day. Sarah was very understanding and offered her services so we set a date to meet for coffee and consultation. I highly recommend Our Jonrah Events to everyone. Sarah went above and beyond in helping me do the research in finding vendors and pricing, to emailing and calling places for me. She got the ball rolling and really helped me find what I needed for our Elopement. I would be totally lost without her. Sarah is friendly, punctual, efficient, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. We met with Sarah back in Feb 2020 after a recommendation from a friend that had used her wedding planning services. After our first meeting we knew that we wanted to move forward on working with her. We originally gave her a timeline of about 5 months to our July wedding day and she was not only able to help us find a venue and a wonderful photographer, but also helped us with vendors and rentals by providing us with multiple options for us to decide from. Covid quickly detailed things for us though and we had to postpone until July 2021 (and then again to Oct 2021). Sarah not only dealt with all of the headache and details of changing the dates with multiple vendors and our venue but also continued to have regular virtual meetings with us to make sure things were on track and to reassure us that things were under control. We wanted to hire a wedding planner so that our special day could be as stress free as possible and even during a global pandemic with every complication and roadblock imaginable, Sarah was able to provide us with that in spades. My wife and I could not be happier with the work she did and we have heard nothing but great things from our guests on how beautifully everything was arranged and all of the little touches that were made by Sarah that we would have never even thought of doing ourselves. On our wedding day and the day after we did not have to worry about a single thing. Sarah and her team handled all of the set up and cleanup while coordinating with vendors and our venue. All we had to do was show up and then stop by the venue the next day to pick up a few personal items that were used in the decor. Sarah and her team have our highest recommendation and we are certain that if you decide to work with her your wedding and the events leading up to it will be filled with excitement and joy instead of stressful decisions and worry.
Sarah is such a kind and amazing individual to have organized our wedding ceremony. With the pandemic having us to reschedule our plans, Sarah was still able to take our vision and make it a reality. She organized all the wedding vendors and always checked in to see if we needed anything. On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond to ensure that all the details were in place to make the day run smoothly. Her professionalism, attention to detail and willingness to work with our budget is something we very much appreciate on our special day. Before my wedding, I naively thought that I could do everything. But I'm SO unbelievably glad that I met Sarah for a coffee and chatted about her services. I would've most definitely had a break down if not for her! After having had my wedding and finally understanding all the work and nuances that go into making sure everything goes smoothly, I've been telling all my friends to hire a wedding planner - namely, Sarah. She's lovely, professional, experienced and SUCH a hardworker. She made sure our table seating arrangements were perfect, put together the cutest sweetheart table for us (along with florals! What can she NOT do?), coordinated all of our vendors beforehand and took the reins when it came to making decisions (especially when I was overwhelmed). If I could go back in time, I'd probably hire Sarah to coordinate the entire wedding (rather than just the day-of option she offers), but either way, I'm so glad to have hired her. I met Sarah in the Spring of 2019 at The Wardrobe Exchange. We hit it off right away and I found out that she had just launched her wedding planning company that is now Our Jonrah Events! I ran into her again at a wedding event called Local Love, where she had her booth set-up. We knew from the moment we met Sarah that we would reach back out to her to ask her to be a integral part of our day; she is so friendly, kind, patient, warm, welcoming and - I cannot stress this enough - EXTREMELY organized. Even though we knew exactly what everything would look like on our wedding day, Sarah would be there as an extension of us to ensure things were running efficiently and smoothly. Not only that, but she went out of her way, above and beyond to make sure our day was stress-free and special. I HIGHLY recommend Our Jonrah Events to everyone. Again, Sarah went above and beyond in helping us stay on top of a very long day – when she heard my laptop was close to dying before playing our quick-turn around wedding video at the reception, she raced home to grab the charger for us. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I absolutely would - she deserves it. Sarah is, punctual, efficient, detailed, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. Our Jonrah Events is responsible for consistently bright, cheerful, and flawlessly-coordinated productions, and is ALSO a dream to work with. As an event DJ, dropping into a space loaded with vendors can be harrowing, but Sarah always has a timeline for everyone, stunning décor, and a calm demeanour that makes every show just flow. I can't recommend her services and recommendations highly enough.
While we tried very hard not to use a wedding planner we eventually caved. We were lucky to find Sarah and she immediately made us feel less stressed and overwhelmed. She handled coordinating with vendors, decorations and planning which allowed us to focus on the smaller details that made our wedding special and personal. She handled hiccups that were inevitable but dealt with them quickly and quietly (without us knowing until after our wedding). We highly recommend Sarah if you are planning to get married and want to ensure a memorable wedding.

August 7th 2020 wedding(Covid wedding) Contacting Sarah at Our Jonrah Events was the best decision we made for our wedding this year. Like many couples, our plans were thwarted by the pandemic and we had to start from scratch not once, not twice, but thrice. Initially, we had planned to do everything ourselves with help from family and friends but COVID wasn't having it lol. Sarah confidently stepped up to the challenge a month away from our wedding. She helped us find a new venue, vendors, and finalize our wedding plans. She made our wedding less stressful, and our vision achievable despite the tight timeframe. She worked within our budget and made sure we were still getting what we wanted at an affordable price. Sarah is a kind, calm, resourceful, budget-friendly planner. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a planner/wedding coordinator, especially in these uncertain COVID times. Everything turned out beautifully and everyone had a great time! My husband & I agree that one of the best decisions we made with wedding planning was going with Jonrah Events for day-of coordination. We went into wedding planning thinking we could cover most of the bases ourselves but had a hunch that we'd need help on the day of the wedding. I thought we'd mostly need help with decorations set-up & transfer as we had different locations for our ceremony & reception - but Sarah far exceeded our expectations. If we hadn't hired Jonrah Events, many details would've slipped our minds. The days leading up to our wedding, as well as our wedding day would've likely been full of hiccups & setbacks. The package we went with included a couple one-hour meet-ups prior to the wedding. Sarah made the most out of those meetings to discuss timelines, task assignments (down to details like who would be watching the cardbox & removing money post money-dance), & contact information with ALL of our vendors. She also made a detailed timeline (included task assignments & songs!) for us that our vendors & emcees could easily follow. Communication leading up to our wedding day - especially the week before, was constant as we ironed out the final details. Sarah also made sure to get in touch with our vendors - from our photographer to make-up artists. Sarah even went the extra mile to pick up rental chair covers for us the day BEFORE the wedding & dropped them off at our reception location! On the day of our wedding, I was stress free as I knew Sarah & her assistant had everything under control - down to taking care of our wrinkly chair covers with her handheld steamer! If there was anything I was apprehensive about, it was how the decorations would turn out at the reception - as they had to be transferred over from our ceremony location & set-up. But upon reaching our reception location, I was completely blown away. Everything was set up as I had discussed with her, & better. Sarah was organized, noted all of our requests prior to the wedding, & worked well with our friends & family who were helping out. On top of it all, Sarah was kind & genuinely passionate about how our wedding would turn out.
I don't know where to begin except to say that my wedding couldn't have happened without Sarah and Alex at Our Jonrah Events. I couldn't recommend them more highly. I'm not an organized person at the best of times, so when it was time to start wedding planning, I knew I needed help. Sarah was there. She was supportive, professional, and had lots of insider knowledge/connections in the Alberta wedding industry. Then COVID-19 came. Our plans changed from summer 2021 to summer 2022. Sarah supported us in all of our plan changes - connecting with our vendors and getting everyone on the same page. HUGE stress relief. THEN our plans changed again - back to Summer 2021, with 32 days to plan the wedding. Again, Sarah was there - bringing the whole vendor team with her. Our backyard wedding turned out absolutely perfect! Sarah brought in Alex to help out. Between the two of them, everything was so tailored to my husband and my COVID-19 comfort level (on the cautious side), style, and personalities. Investing in Our Jonrah Events saved my sanity throughout the whole wedding process. I could not recommend more.

Sarah helped us make a timeline for our wedding day (this was the part we were struggling with the most) and provided advice on vendors that we needed to book now the we had our venue. Sarah helped us planned our wedding ceremony over 2 yrs and we are grateful that we had her. She managed correspondence with our vendors and made sure we were on track with our planning. It was a huge blessing during these COVID times. If we had difficulties sourcing a vendor or item she was resourceful in helping us find what we needed including last minute issues that come up. Sarah was absolutely amazing, hiring our Jonrah events was the very best decision we made for our wedding. Working full time shift work and being in the middle of a global pandemic can make wedding planning seem impossible but we barely had to do anything. We just made decisions and Sarah did everything else from decorating, sourcing decor and vendors, all the contacting vendors and planning, set up and takedown. She handled absolutely everything and executed our vision more perfectly than we could have ever imagined. Walking into our venue took our breath away, she really outdid herself. Our families couldn’t stop talking about how perfect she was in the role, very organized and in control behind the scenes and making sure everything ran perfectly. She responded to my hundreds of questions almost immediately. Every time someone asked about our wedding my response was “it was all Sarah”. We could not recommend anyone or any service more than we recommend Sarah. She is truly a lifesaver.
We hired Sarah 2 years ago when we started our wedding planning. We set up a budget and timeline, expectations, mood board, and met up monthly or as needed. I had a lot of ideas and she would reign them in and help me organize my thoughts. Though if we were impassive on a topic or vendor, Sarah would provide a few suggestions. It was extremely helpful that Sarah contacted all of our vendors on our behalf throughout the planning. When we had to change our plans to a new date, we didn't have to stress over getting everyone on the same page. After deciding to change our plans a third time with just a few months to plan in the spring, Sarah was there to put all the pieces together and we couldn't be more grateful. She directed the dress rehearsal professionally and ensured everyone was comfortable with their roles. And on the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a thing and it all went perfectly. Thank you Sarah for being my sounding board in those times of stress, for being compassionate and empathetic, for your ultra-organizational skills and giving us our perfect little wedding!
