“I'm writing this on behalf of my wife, Robin, and I. We're the parents of the bride (Courtney) in this case, and we were so impressed with her wedding planners that we decided to write a testimonial. The wedding took place in July, 2021. The primary wedding planner was Stephanie and that's who we had the most contact with, but she was ably assisted by Aimsley. Stephanie and her team did a lot of work behind the scenes, of course, in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, but as parents, most of our contact with the team was just before, and on the day of, the wedding. Personally, both Stephanie and Aimsley were a pleasure to deal with. They were very friendly, but efficient. I was struck by how patient Stephanie was on the day of the rehearsal. It must have been like herding cats to keep the wedding party on schedule, but she kept the tone light and the smile rarely left her face. As for the behind-the-scenes advance planning, Stephanie and her team did an excellent job making the most of every square inch of the back yard where the reception was held. Their vision resulted in a setting that was beautiful and elegant, but also warm and inviting. The day of the wedding went amazingly smoothly. This was in part because of all of the advance planning that went into the wedding. But it was also because, on the day of the wedding, Stephanie and Aimsley 'took charge' (in a very nice way) and proactively solved any potential issues before they arose. They became the 'go-to' people at the wedding — answering questions, fixing boutonnieres, and doing a hundred other things — which lifted a huge burden off the shoulders of our daughter and her new husband, Stephen. Courtney and Stephen were able to completely relax and just immerse themselves in the joy of that day. Our daughter made two crucial decisions related to her wedding: (1) She picked an awesome guy to marry ????; (2) She hired Julianne Young Weddings.

We have been a Newlywed couple since August 2019! Julianne Young Weddings (JYW) exceeded our expectations in what we sought in a Wedding Planner and Team. Julianne has extensive experience as a wedding planner and it shows in her extreme passion and commitment to making her couples’ wedding vision a dream come true. We truly admire Julianne’s open personality and work ethic. Organization and communication is everything, which is reflected in her workspace, online management, and professional demeanor. At our initial consult, she took time to get to know us as a couple. With genuine interest, she listened to our love story and then asked us to discuss our wedding vision. This is evident in her handling of increasingly difficult challenges, professionalism, and adjusting to changes at a moments notice all while maintaining her composure. Aimsley’s emcee timeline was perfect as it included key announcements that we would have overlooked had we done this ourselves. Aimsley also made valuable suggestions on the logistics of how to manage an outfit change during a cultural performance. Pre-Wedding Day: Julianne created a vision board and worked with vendors to produce the most amazing decoration/lighting display. She would check in with us to confirm that our visions are aligned prior to proceeding. Julianne's vision board highlighted the strengths of our venue and completely showcased our wedding colors and theme. Julianne ensures progress by scheduling meetings. When help is requested, she makes herself available even beyond our scheduled time. One moment we will always remember is how JYW took complete control and maintained their composure at our Rehearsal Ceremony. Our ceremony coordinators at our church were unfortunately not available, thus leaving us in a situation of disorganization and unanswered questions. Only the Priest and Wedding Party would be left to coordinate, but what truly helped were key family members and JYW. They immediately addressed issues, facilitated the Rehearsal Ceremony, found answers to our questions, and kept it professional throughout the whole experience as we had an extremely large group. Julianne and her team really helped focus our concerns. On our wedding day, the Ceremony went flawlessly! During the Wedding Day: All vendors were adhering to the best of their abilities to the detailed timeline created and provided by JYW. The coordination between everyone went unnoticed because everyone was so prepared. This is what we believe showcased the high quality service and attentiveness to detail that JYW provides. One incident that happened at our reception was that a key item was missing from one of our programs. As it was being retrieved, Julianne helped calm our worries and reassured us that the time will work itself out. In times of stress, you need someone to help you re-focus on the bigger picture. Julianne was that person. Post-Wedding Day: Julianne and her team took great care of all our valuables during and after the wedding from the guest book table, decorations, flowers, and other items we brought in. JYW delegated task to ensure our venue and vendors were working in tandem. Julianne’s teammate Sacha was even seen helping to take down decor items at the end of our event! Julianne and her team were amazing! They were so helpful and professional from the first email to the end of our reception. They were easy to talk and plan with, they helped with decor ideas and the planning timeline. We received a timeline checklist and were given advice and recommendations for vendors, many of which we ended up booking. They were very professional on the wedding day as well, everything was timed out perfectly and they kept everyone calm and collected. Right at the end of the reception we had a couple wedding crashers and the girls were on it so fast and came to talk to us about it. They also had sandals ready for the bridesmaids at the end of the night and continued to make sure everything and everything looked great and happy! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! One thing that is important to me when dealing with companies is communication, and JYW did not disappoint, they were so responsive and helpful throughout a 6 month planning process. A special mention goes to Aimsley - truly this lady is an angel. From the beginning to the end, she was always there. Julianne, Aimsley and team were absolute professionals and such a pleasure to work with! They definitely live up to their perfect ratings and rave reviews, if not more so. This was one of our initial hires when we started the whole wedding process and we do not regret it at all. Julianne started off the initial meeting by asking us what we want our wedding to be like and what we hoped the feel should be. And, we stated that since we have been together for so long, it's not really about us and more about our guests - to make them feel special as they each played an important role in our lives and for them to have a good time celebrating the day with us. This was accomplished... and more! The attention to detail and all the personal touches from start to end of the wedding was above and beyond what we imagined and hoped for. It was not just the endless compliments from our guests, but, also, from our vendors who can attest to how amazing JYW is. Julianne's ideas were beautifully thought out. The decor was SO BEAUTIFUL and refreshing without relying on cookie cutter ideas. She incorporated our wants and wishes (e.g. chilled towels for guests on a hot day), as well as little personal touches (e.g. personalized menus, and illustrated signs with puns!). It was so nice to have both Julianne and Aimsley present during our wedding day. We were sure there were background fires that they had to put out on the day of, but, we never knew of them. Everything ran like a well oiled machine. And, they always carried themselves with grace, and always had our back (like making a plate of canapes while we took pictures so we wouldn't miss out! =P). Julianne was so great to deal with from start to finish. She helped a great deal when we had a vendor issue. Julianne also worked with us to stay within our budget, while still making it look amazing. And last but not least, these gals are just super cool wonderful people to deal with! Don't hesitate! It’s been three weeks since our wedding and I can genuinely say that we are missing Julianne (and her check-in emails). From our first meeting with Julianne. She impressed us with her personality, style and professionalism. We instantly knew that we wanted Julianne as our wedding planner. If there is one word that resonates in terms of her style it would be “elegant”. Julianne knew exactly what we wanted in terms of the vision for the design and the feel of the room. She paid attention to every detail and ensured that we were partnered with the right vendors that met our standards and expectations. She invests time in getting to know her clients and then utilizes that information to exceed their expectations. Both Adrian and I didn’t have to worry or stress about anything, we were confident in Julianne’s ability as she was consistently on top of everything from answering our emails, to keeping in touch with us by following up on our deliverables and being available for our calls, in fact she went above and beyond by keeping us in the loop of when she would be away from the office. On the wedding day Julianne was there and just knowing that she was there had us at ease. Everything flowed as scheduled, each vendor was given the timeline by Julianne, which helped with keeping us on point. As a vendor, we always look forward to working with Julianne and her team since we did a fancy New Year's Eve wedding at the Lake House in Bonavista and many more since. We sat down with Julianne and she really took the time to get to know us and our vision for our wedding day. Initially approaching Julianne and her team with an Elopement, we received nothing but excellent service from Aimsley, Paige, and the team from the moment we contacted them. The girls really do know how to tackle events of all sizes and captured our vision of a low-key outside wedding beautifully. Even as our event grew from an elopement to a small wedding of ~40 people, the team was responsive and professional in the way they guided us through the organizing process (which was no small feat as we were very intimidated by the idea of having a "real" wedding). Their breadth of experience was evident through many intersections in the planning process. When things came up with vendors, Aimsley was actively resolving or fixing the issue before I even had a chance to contact her! She was fabulous to work with and has the patience of a saint. As the mother of the bride, I had a wonderful experience working with Julianne and getting to know her a little before my daughter’s wedding. My daughter Julia and her fiancé Rory live in the UK and the wedding was going to be held at our family cottage. Julianne needed to be able to go to the site, understand the property and the cottage, and think about how best to execute on the vision Julia and Rory had for their wedding. She needed a tour guide and I was pleased to meet Julianne and take her to the cottage a couple of months ahead of the event. She also has a committed and talented team and deep and positive relationships with other talented folks in the event planning space that she collaborates with. They made it LOOK effortless although it was anything but. During the wedding, the team worked beautifully together and made sure that everything ran seamlessly and they did it with smiles and class. Julianne and her team are absolutely wonderful. We had an epic wedding at Chateau Lake Louise in 2018, and Julianne was the reason it went off without a hitch. We chose JYW for two main reasons. One, because Julianne is such a wonderful and lovely person to work with. It’s like planning your wedding with a best girlfriend who also happens to be the most capable and competent person you know. After the wedding was over I missed talking to her! Secondly, Julianne has impeccable taste. Reviewing her portfolio we knew that we could trust her to make decisions on our behalf because she is so detail oriented and has an excellent eye. Even small things, like the color of the napkins exactly matching the room decor (something I would have agonized over), were things that she paid attention to, and because of that our wedding was flawless. Where to start. We had a COVID wedding planned for 2020, but unfortunately needed to reschedule that. We originally had planned on not having a wedding planner but with more time to think about it we decided it would be a good idea, and we are so glad we did. Julianne Young Weddings planned our three-day wedding event in Banff. Words cannot express how amazing Julianne was throughout the entire year and a half planning process and how grateful my husband and I were to have her and Aimsley at our wedding. When we were looking for planners, it only took a short skype phone call for my fiancé and I to fall in love with her energy and enthusiasm. My fiancé and I were living long distance and knew we would need her to plan almost every aspect of our wedding. From the get go, she offered us the flexibility to tailor her services to exactly what we needed and this separated her from all the rest. When we met Julianne, we had recently interviewed another wedding planner and had another meeting a few days after with a third. Within the first few minutes we both loved her and had decided to hire her, cancelling our appointments with anyone else. Working with JWY was an amazing experience from the very beginning. I was an eager bride that wanted to book everything as quickly as possible but didn’t really know where to start. Julianne really guided me through what the priorities were and helped me relax while staying focused. After having the majority of our wedding planned COVID hit hard and we were forced to reschedule the wedding. The team was quick to adjust and help replan our wedding to the following year. At that point I was so done with wedding planning and the JYW team was there to help. In the summer we decided to change our plans again to get married this year and have a more elopement style wedding. Aimsley jumped right in with us again to replan everything and it was so stress free. I truly do not know what we would have done without Aimsley’s constant support and adaptable style. The wedding was held at my grandparents' cabin in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. The cabin is rustic, hard-to-find, and has literally no reception. In short, there was so much uncertainty and so many ways things could have gone wrong! But Julianne was by our side every step of the way; we never doubted she had everything under control. Julianne maintained a positive outlook while also being realistic with us about possible challenges related to the pandemic, our remote and rustic venue, and our budget. Julianne, her team, and the vendors she selected executed an event that felt truly magical.
