David was our ECAP energy coach. He was friendly, professional, efficient and demonstrated his competence as a solution-finder. For example, there was shelving that obstructed access to the attic. Even though the shelf was extremely difficult to remove, David persisted and found a way to do so even though he could have easily used that as an excuse to skip this step of the process. He respectfully put it back exactly the way he found it. David also took the time to explain the technical details of the carbon monoxide detectors that he installed and ensured that they were placed in an area that maximized its effectiveness while also taking into consideration my mom's preferences. He showcased his skills and experience when he replaced the shower heads, faucet aerators, LED lightbulbs, carbon monoxide detectors and exterior door weather stripping with ease and proficiency. We’re so grateful that such an amazing energy coach came to assess mom's home! Thank you!

We had a recent need for a professional solution to address a potentially dangerous electrical situation in our home , caused by shoddy / non professional work that was done prior. My wife made a call to Its on electric Company, and received a warm and professional greeting from Vern. Vern was efficient and conveyed an immediate sense of confidence and was at our door in less than 24 hours to make an in in person inspection and assessment. Vern was polite , courteous and effective in addressing the situation. Within 2 days we had his professional James at our door with all of his tools, over boots and PPE equipment to keep him and our family safe . He went about his task with no interruption to myself and wife who both work at home. The end result - completely re wiring our kitchen under the counter lights with modern LED's and a crowded connection to ensure a long lasting and safe instal, better than we were expecting. All my appliances are 20 years old and my furnace will not stay on, it must be replaced. Some time ago we applied to B.C. Hydro and Fortis for their program that helps customers who need a new fridge or furnace as theirs have known better days and, they cannot afford to replace them. We applied and received notice that one of their staff would come to our home and do an inspection to determine our needs and would we qualify for their Free replacement of our 30 year old furnace. A gentleman called and made an appointment to visit us and do a preliminary inspection in two days. They sent a very wonderful young man who came masked and removed his shoes and asked a few questions and then asked me if I would like to follow him around our home and feel free to ask questions during his tour. He measured our ceiling insulation, installed two new shower wands that are much more efficient, installed several low energy light bulbs, inspected our furnace, gave us a portable rack for drying clothes and a number of other freebies. We got a call from the company a couple of days later that another inspection would be happening the next day. Two gentlemen came and did a more thorough inspection and went all through our home doing many measurements. They left saying we should expect a call from the company with a decision within a month. We are waiting for the final decision. We live in a seniors condo community and several of our neighbors have had new FREE furnaces and many other upgrades to save on gas and electric costs..A welcome offer as we are living on our pensions. Great companies, for sure.
