Stand-alone propane/natural gas generators aren't cheap. They demand and deserve ... 1. PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION 2. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE 3. OCCASIONAL 24/7 EMERGENCY SERVICE. GECO INDUSTRIES (Campbellford Ontario) provides all three of these essential services. After years of (unsuccessfully) searching for an installer meeting the above three requirements, a random GOOGLE search led me to HELM KLEIN, owner & founder of GECO INDUSTRIES (servicing most of southeastern Ontario) and my patience was finally rewarded.

We bought 2 generators from Geco because a friend was involved and we wanted to support local business. We have an electrician that we would normally use but wanted to spread the business around. One generator at our business and one at our home. Two winters ago we had ice come up and into our generator. We called them and they came out. They said our warranty was null and void. They left. Here is the problem. They installed our generator and did not put it up on a pad (that they charged us for). We are out 13000$ and our electrician tried to repair it piece by piece but it is unrepairable. The kicker is, they sent us a bill for that service call. Now, with this big storm we had today, we are sitting in the dark because the pandemic and hurricane season down south have made it impossible to get one I would not recommend getting anything done by this company ever!! The owner also argued with me on the phone when i called to tell him what had happened. He did not try to do anything to rectify the situation at all. Karl and Deborah Kustor

I purchased a Geco 15 kw air cooled generator in 2013 and have had it serviced "Environmental/Fuel Charge, Service Pack ($285.27) in 2014, Environmental/Fuel Charge ($296.57) in 2016, Environmental & Carbon Fee ($297.02) in 2017, Environmental & Carbon Fee ($308.32) in 2018,Air Cool Preventative Maintenance (Replaced battery due to age. Generator tested and ran well at time of service ($481.32) 2020, Generator Monitor will not sinc up, Batteries changed, lights still flashing. Completion Notes: Reset radio link between generator and remote monitor, tested - working well. ($141.70) Jan. 26, 2021. Today I have to phone again as same problem as Jan. 26, 2021 and charged again. WOULD I RECOMMENT THIS COMPANY - what do you think???

Excellent service, very professional! Best investment ever. I moved rural in December and ordered a generator right away. From the friendly consultation they found the best one suited to my needs. I was disappointed that after it was installed there was no power failure for the rest of the winter. Fast forward to the summer and the blackouts have begun. I am thrilled with the generator it does everything without skipping a beat. Can't that you guys enough!

As the account manager at Geco Industries, regarding : Ms Quinn, her generator is 8 years old. All service calls were pre-approved before dispatched. The monitor in question is no longer supported by the manufacturer, Generac. The generator is fully operational and there is nothing we can do to correct this accessory. Unfortunately the fees listed are grossly inaccurate. Ms Kustor's generator was neglected. We arrived to find it not only frozen but under water and frozen in a block of ice. Being an electrical device, we recommended a insurance claim as repairing such a unit would have been an exercise in futility. No one would ever rebuild a flooded car for example. Mr. Beno, We simply requested, payment security before dispatching a technician and he refused. At Geco, we strife to always serve our existing and new customers with their best interest at heart. We apologize if these customers feel we did not meet those standards.
