The Toronto Windstorm knocked limbs off our tree and pulled down our electrical stack resulting with a live wire in our driveway. Despite many calls to Hydro and emergency no one came for several days. It wasn’t until AC electrical joined the effort (who were in the nieghborhood working) that hydro took notice. Even before we had contracted AC to fix our stack, Kyle (one of the electricians for AC) had talked to a hydro inspector on our behalf while we were out about the wire. Even the AC office coordinator had tried to coordinate the wire removal. Needless to say, the extra care they took was what made me hire them to repair the stack. Super nice people, great service and workmanship. They worked on a Sunday and didn’t go for the situational cash grab like other companies we got quotes from. The employees seemed really happy and dedicated to the company, which is always a good sign that the boss is doing things right (who was also there for our repairs). Great job and thank you AC. The work they have done on my building was night and day, they installed all exterior spot lights along the front to help illuminate the building at night which were controlled by an automatic sensor for lights to turn on and off by themselves. I am more than pleased with how professional Kyle and David were along with Steven who was co-ordinating all of the work and permits. They knew exactly what would look good and made all the decisions with design and placement of the lights and it turned out amazing. Inquired about installing a stove outlet in my garage for an electric vehicle. The electrician was friendly and punctual but the quote was on the high end ($1600). Ended up paying the quote fee and went with another company - interestingly it seems to be rare company that charges for a quote. Ended up getting the same job done for $900 (which is around the average I heard to install a stove outlet in garage). I can say that they seem to be reliable for their appointments but the value can be significantly improved.

Spoke to a representative on the phone. Initial phone call interaction was not very informative or reassuring. I did not expect a rep to have an electricians knowledge base but it seemed like they only wanted to get the inspecction / troubleshooting fee. I was fine with paying this, but I really wanted to make sure the electrician came prepared with replacement piece with him. I was asked to send a picture via email with suspected electrical repair / problem, and was told someone would be in contact. No one contacted me back. There was no follow up. Overall poor experience.

We had to replace the connector on the exterior of our house that supports the hydro wires coming in from the pole on the street. This was complicated by the fact that some rotten fascia board had to be replaced before the work could get done. Genelle, the office manager at AC, introduced us to a company that does this kind of work. She also coordinated everything with this other company, AC and Toronto Hydro. All work was completed on time and done well. Would definitely use AC again.

From the first phone call with Helen, to the service provided by Kyle, AC Electrical Contractors were very professional and courteous. Helen asked appropriate questions and had me take and send pictures to ensure that Kyle would be equipped with the proper parts. Kyle arrived on time and did a great job of diagnosing the problem. What we thought was a faulty GFCI breaker turned out to be a hidden GFCI outlet that had been tripped which was also wired into the GFCI breaker. So an expensive mistake on our part. But nonetheless, I was very pleased with the service I received overall and would call them back for any other electrical issues.

Great overall experience with AC Electrical. Called for a quote on the addition of an outdoor GFI for a hot tub. Nic arrived the same day and provided the quote.
