In May of this year our family decided it was time to purchase a hot tub. Previously a hot tub had been installed, but it was removed before we purchased our home We thought it would be easy to just “connect” the old wiring – but – unfortunately – no so I reached out to Studerus Electric Inc. to discuss the project and they quickly arrange a site visit Vince (owner) helped define what was in scope and out of scope for what needed to be done They supplied the materials and the needed man power - Vince and his team: Installed a new 200amp power panel Installed new dedicated receptacles in the basement Installed new electrical boxes/services in two of our kids bedrooms (and relocated the fixtures) Repaired/replaced a defectives switch in our dining room Installed new outdoor electrical boxes/services on our deck and new flood/sensor lighting The main onsite electricians (Marty) was always kind, considerate and willing to explain what was happening and answered any question that I had They took off their boots, cleaned up the dust and dirt and covered up furniture I have already recommend Vince and his team to several other friends in the city looking for an electrician and will continue to do so. Both Steve and I were very pleased with the work performed by Studerus Electric. Very professional team. The original estimate was given to us after a Duo Google call so we could show Vince around our condo. The appt was for 8 a.m. and they showed up on the dot. We are putting in a new bathtub so needed a pot light a new plug and a ceiling fan installed. We have concrete ceilings and walls so the job was not easy. What a superb job!!! We highly recommend Studerus Electric!

This review is way past due. I have used Vince and his team since 2019 when we did a massive overhaul of our electrical system. Complete panel replacement, complete wiring change in our kitchen and electrical upgrade through the rest of the property. We also had them back after to install plugs and a light in our backyard. I have had some minor hiccups along the way due to the aluminum wiring and Vince has always tried to have his team out ASAP. Thank you for all your hard work guys!

I talked with the owner, Vince, by phone and had an appointment quickly to solve an issue that may have been a fire hazard. Vince’s team, Ron and Nick, arrived and quickly assessed several issues of concern. Within a few hours all electrical problems were fixed and it looked far better and organized. I really appreciated the extra time Ron and Nick took to explain my options and what would be the best solution. They not only fixed the wiring but helped me figure out the best way to create better lighting in my basement as well as improved safety lighting in my backyard. I asked him to install pot lights in our family room and he said only two small cuts in the wall is needed in order to do that. The day he came over to do it, he said there are not enough room between your window and ceiling to do it so I have to make 3 small holes in the ceiling. I went to the kitchen for half an hour and came back and there were eight holes in the ceiling without asking me. I ended up paying 1000 dollars for the ceiling to be fixed. Another time he spent 3 hours in a plug to tell me at the end that the plug is not connected. For a licensed electrician with more than 7 years of experience that seems totally unacceptable. I kept telling him after an hour please let it go since I do not use that plug (in the basement) that often and he kept telling me do not worry it won't take much longer. My husband and I were totally shocked when we saw the invoice. 3* 65+tax= 220.25 $ for a plug he did not fix and a hole that he left in the wall for us ( 35$ to fix) to find out what is wrong with that plug. Do not recommend at all. Pay more but hire an honest professional. Response to your response: 1) That is 100% incorrect that you kept me informed in every step of process. You never told me you are going to cut 8 holes in my ceiling and you know it. You saw how shock I was when I saw the holes and you started to justify your action. ( This is called dishonesty when you 100% incorrect claim that you kept me informed). 2) You charged us for 17 pot lights in first invoice while you only installed 14. When I brought that to your attention, you sent me a new invoice for 14 pot lights and you added other cost to the new invoice which they were not in the first invoice ( material and other costs). seems like you want to charge us for a certain amount and you added those items to make up for it. 3) I always feel good by writing a true and honest comment about the services I was provided with and my review for your services is 100% what I experienced. I did not feel relief by writing a review for you, I feel relief to be treated fair and honest. I wrote this review to share my experience with other people. 4) When I talked to you about the last invoice you said " I'm wasting more money and time on this argument and I would prefer if you use different electrical company in the future. Maybe it will give you an insight". You said pay whatever you want but when I sent you a fair amount ( 260 instead of 367) you never agreed on it and you said you profit will be 43$ and you will never do anything like that for that amount. You could of sent me an invoice which we both agree on. Other wise I would paid you what ever I want and the rest could go to collection agency because you did not send me a new fair invoice. Any ways, I leave the judgment to the readers and will not respond any more since my time is more valuable. Thanks
