Our experience took longer that we originally anticipated. Our original call was for a leaking faucet. After a thorough check of the appliances we were advised that the hard water was probably the source of some of our problems and could cause us problems in the future. A water softener was recommended and we were happy to proceed with this having had one in the past. I was impressed that they were able to install this the same day. We were initially very satisfied until we realized our leak still existed after we thought it had been fixed. We had some other issues but all have been resolved to our satisfaction. We have worked with two different technicians during this week but the resolution of our problems by the Manager Ashley was outstanding. Her final goal was to see us 100% satisfied. She listened to our concerns without prejudice and was willing to do whatever it took to make things right. To find a company that stands by their 100% guarantee of satisfaction or a full refund is refreshing is very much needed in the trade industry. Due to the customer comes first attitude in resolving our problems, I would recommend this company to others.

Friendly employee and did a good job but their value is not very good. I was told $582 per toilet and that they were american standard 2 peice toilets, all i was told. Knowing toilets can retail up to $300 or beyond i was assuming a better product for the price i paid. And i understand everyone has to make money. But. I was charged $1164 to replace 2 toilets, retail value of the toilets $149 each (american standard evolution 2) thats $866 in labour for maybe 2 hours of work. On top you are charged the 69.95 dispatch fee even if you go ahead with the work. Will seek better value for my plumbing needs next time.

Rob from the Gentleman’s Plumbers provided us and our home 5 Star Service today. We had scheduled them to handle a leak and broken pipe in our kitchen sink. Before beginning the repair he took the time to inspect the area and noticed the problem was a little larger than we had realized. He was very informative in explaining his concerns, the possible outcomes, and all of the costs up front, leaving no surprises. Included in his service appointment today, he also offered to inspect our entire home, where we located several other areas of current and future concerns. He was extremely informative, and answered all of my questions, which was helpful and appreciated from someone who is not well versed in this area. We decided to add a few additional fixes today and he was able to complete them in the same service visit, and again, kept me informed of the financial commitment the entire time. I recently had to call The Gentlemen Plumbers to replace my bath tub spout. I had one of their plumbers (man named Adam) come to my home and walk me through the process. I found the person to be very personal and knowledgable. The process was flawless. There was also a complimentary plumbing inspect that I took advantage of. Upon inspection, he found that my lower bath sink was cracked, and water was leaking from the basin, under the sink. What a find. I would recommend Gentlemen Plumbers for your plumbing needs. I will definitely call on them again.

I felt I had been overcharged and I wanted a manager to call me to discuss. I left a message Tuesday and they said I would be responded to within 48 hours, that seemed a bit long, but it has been 4 days now and nobody ever called to discuss. Over $700 to fix 2 toilets just seemed a bit too pricy. They obviously do not care to talk to customers if there is an issue. They also do not provide an invoice unless you call to request it. ** After 17 days I did receive a very apologetic call from a manager who was willing to work with me on the pricing. She was very professional and friendly and I was satisfied with the company's willingness to make things right.

Professional, polite, cleaned up, helped with other things, worked outside in the extreme cold without complaint, had booties and a carpet to lay down at the front door. Words can't describe how amazing Kale and his whole team are. They undertook a MASSIVE job for our townhouse complex which included the removal and installation of two new underground water supply lines. Not only did they orchestrate the use of hydrovac trucks as required, but they ensured they had a sufficient crew size of about 5+ guys to ensure the job was done as quickly as possible. These guys went above and beyond and worked overtime when required to ensure the water supply was returned to the units. All of the guys were a real pleasure to deal with and were very good at keeping us informed of the repair status on a daily basis. They were extremely clean, considering the muddy disaster our yards were after the hydrovac excavation. I can't thank you guys enough for the complexity and quality of work you guys did.

Jason and Devin are simply brilliant. They initially came to perform a yearly furnace and plumbing inspection. Unfortunately it was found that both of our 28 year old furnaces were dangerous to use, and had to be shut off to avoid harm to any members of the household from carbon monoxide. This didn’t come at the best time of year, with night time temperatures dropping. But Jason stepped in and assured us that our comfort was his priority. He went through the best furnace options for our size of property and floor layout, and once we had agreed on the type of furnace that best suited our home and budget Jason and Devin got straight into dismantling and clearing out the old furnaces. They stayed until 10pm, and were back the next morning at the agreed time to start installing the first of 2 furnaces. They worked tirelessly to get the main floor and basement furnace working before they left at 10pm, to ensure we had some heat to the house. Day 3 Jason and Devin returned to complete the job. Along the way any questions or concerns that we had were answered promptly. Everything was explained in a timely fashion. Jason and Devin demonstrated professional pride in the installation of our new heating system, and the end of job checklist was exhaustive to ensure absolutely nothing was overlooked. Thank you both for your hard work and dedication to seeing a job well done through to the end.

We are grateful that we tried GP a couple of years ago, as since then we have continued to have exemplary service for both urgent and non-urgent issues. We got to see Frank again and it's so nice to see a familiar face. He is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was with a new hire Emmanuel, who was just lovely. Gentlemen plumbers very pricey! Had my dishwasher installation service today July 24, 2017. He put or soldered one new shut off valve and hooked the water line and the hose for the drainage and he's done. Unfortunately, he was not able to test the dishwasher or do any wirings because it has no power line yet.And I was charged for $494!. Is it reasonable price?

The technician I Had named Richard, was on time, very professional, he was the second person out for the same blocked pipe. The first could not unblock it and planed for the second to find the pipe in my wall and cut the wall open to get at the pipe. Richard was able to unclog the pipe in the normal fashion with no need for cutting into any walls. This was an awesome job.

Thank you for coming out on October 6, 2017 to replace the main water shut-off value in my house in Edmonton. Dave and his partner were very professional and patient as we waited for an hour for Epcor to come by to shut off the water from the outside. The Gentlemen Plumbers replaced the leaky shut-off globe value with a new quarter turn ball valve. They also removed an existing kink in the incoming copper pipe by cutting it out and rebuilding a new connection to the shut-off value. They were never in a rushed as we waited for Epcor to return to turn the water back on from the outside. While we waited, the plumbers did a home inspection of the plumbing in the house.

I don’t know who is being scammed into using this company. They quoted $2800 to have a garage heater installed (we supplied the heater). Another company in Red Deer did it for $500. They also charge you $75 for an estimate which no one else in town does. Disgusting practice, I’m sad for all the people who don’t even know and get so terribly ripped off. Unbelievable. Do your homework, shop elsewhere. UPDATE: in response to the owners comment. We had a permit pulled with the city, we spoke to our city inspector who highly recommended the company we chose upon his inspection. There was no cutting corners or using randoms to do unpermitted work. They also stood behind their work and have since done a ton of work for us personally and professionally. Don’t pretend that $2800 is reasonable for the same work because you pull a permit and check up. We called in to the Gentleman Plumbers office, as the man who did our quote told us we we were “recorded” agreeing to the $70 dispatch fee. No one there was able to give us proof as we no we did not, a lady told us she could let us talk to a manager about hearing our recording. Of course that never happened, no messages returned whatsoever.

I I have been in construction for over 25 years and this quote was ludacris. Will not be calling them again for any work. Period.

Had them come in to check a leaking hot water tank and was quoted over $4k. The tech, Brad, was great. However after discovering that they wanted to charge over $600 to replace a pressure reducing valve that I was able to do myself with the same brand for $90. I can’t help but feel like I have been ripped off. My fault for proceeding with the install without getting another quote. Don’t be me, eat the $75 fee and call around for better prices. Edit: I have now received two independent quotes from other well know companies in Calgary and Gentlemen were 2 times more expensive for the exact same service. Lowering my rating based on the cost. Options! Our person provided options and ultimately decided the best course (temporarily) was the best one until we reach out to them in the near future for a full service/installation. As long as you ask questions, they will provide you the costs and cost breakdowns. The biggest selling was that they were upfront about their own service cost that they waived if you went with them and the subsequent requirements. Much like anyone else who doesnt mind competitive pricing options out there, I'm fine with paying above market price (if it came to it which it didnt) because the after service is what ultimately matters. Unless you're a qualified expert and you can do it, great. Or if you know a guy who knows a guy....know your risk and opportunity costs going down that road, least of all for something like a toilet. It'll cost more to get it done right.

These guys are way overpriced, dont waste your time. I find their pricing system to be dishonest and outrageous, they charge 580 for a sub standard toilet that you can get for under 200 dollars. They charged 70 bucks just to come and try to rip me off, it would have been over 1000 dollars all said and done, they price by the job to rob you, I called gander plumbing and he gave me an honest price point right off the bat, 90 bucks and hour, hour and a half job at most and 250 for a good quality toilet, so well under half what these guys are charging. During the Heat wave they were the first to be able to come out, most were at least two weeks, they were a couple days. Tech "Frank B" was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgable and took the time needed to find the part required. Repaired same day and now have a working AC. My only issue is (and this is with most all large repair companies) is value for money. I realize a business this size takes a lot to keep going but what is paid compared to time/cost of part is pretty high. I generally like to stick to the smaller guys but this time had no choice. If you're going to spend the big bucks, definitely give them a try. They'll do it right and also provide a warranty. Also, extremely friendly for the entire process (From first call to final repair).

Richard came out to our rural property to complete the shock chlorination of our well. He climbed down the ladder into the well space and crawled under the cabin with ease. Clogged screens were replaced and a filter built into the waterline. Richard was back the next morning to complete the well shock chlorination. A complete home inspection by Rob revealed a toilet tank leak and scale buildup in the water heater. Both were promptly repaired on site. Kale responded to a problem with the gas fireplace. He inspected the line and all parts of the system to make sure they were safe to use. Both gentlemen were polite, pleasant, meticulous about tidying up, and very helpful with suggestions about maintaining equipment.

The service level with is company is very good. Their staff is courteous and good at what they do. However, I wish I had done some price comparing. We had them install a new kitchen sink with taps. It took the plumber around 2 hours and then he did his home inspection, 3 hours in total. The cost with GST was $700. They did tell us the price before he started but not prior to him coming and it is hard to turn away the service at that time as you need it. A similar plumbing company in Red Deer charges $95 per hour. So this job was over $200 per hour with the $45 call out fee included in that. We should have used the countertop company who told us it would cost $500 to install which at the time seemed like a lot. We are members and I am thinking of cancelling. Always get quotes ahead of time. Not every plumbing company is the same. Recently got a quote to rehook up a toilet and bathroom sink and dishwasher. $900 with gentleman pros!!! Similar company in Red Deer came out and installed our dishwasher, rehooked up our toilet and pedestal sink and rehooked up our fridge for $240 including parts and gst. No call out fee for them either. See below. Owner said they would contact me. It has been a month and still no contact.

Not only did Richard show up earlier than expected, he fixed what we called him for and more for a great deal! I also have 3 large dogs that some people coming for services have refused to come in my house (based on size and they barked.. as they should when a stranger shows up). He walked in and took the time to introduce himself to the dogs, if you have dogs you know how much that means. He was so wonderful w the kids and dogs. Also quite literally saved us what could have been an extremely large bill later had he rushed through things (dishwasher related and not why I called). Very professional and clean while working, you wouldn't have even known he was there. Also want to add it was his kids bday and party day and he STILL didn't rush through! 10 star rating if it was possible!

Perhaps I’m just old fashioned, but what has happened to just getting a quote? Was told there would be an $80.00 service charge to come out and get a quote. Which makes me laugh - that means you can’t shop around for best pricing - you commit with this one. Great sadness mixed with humour was experienced this morning. Catchy tune on the radio though.
