Received a call from our renters that they had no heat. I left a message on the Tempco on call phone number. My call was returned within 15 minutes and the technician informed me that he received a message from the home office and they would respond because it was near opening time 8:00AM. The office called shortly after 8:00 and a service call was set up between 11:00 and noon. A technician arrived on time and determined the problem was a failed relay that was just installed in December 2020. He replaced the relay and the heat was back on by 1:00PM. The tech informed the head office of the service required and they decided because the age of the failed relay there would be no charge for the part and service call. Probably I was just been unlucky. My rental house furnace quit working a few days ago. My tenant called Tempco, and they sent technician there, fixed something, 5 minutes after the guy left, furnace stopped working again. Called them again, they said there were another problem they fixed, charged again for the visit. I was not very happy with it. Today ( 3 days later) my tenant emailed me and saying the furnace is having problem again. I am speechless.

We moved into a new home in Powell River and immediately smelled gas. We called Tempco and they sent someone right away. The leak was fixed in under an hour. The technician was friendly and helpful. We will definitely use them again ! UPDATE: June, 2021. Since the above review, we have replaced our natural gas furnace with a whole house heat pump. We are over the moon with the service that Tempco provided. We honestly cannot hear the heat pump ever and it heats and cools much more evenly than the furnace. Andre was honestly the most professional installer we have ever met.

We had our annual visit from Tempco - Dean arrived ahead of appointed time after notifying us his schedule had offered that opportunity - He came into the mayhem that is our happy home -Kids-- Dog - and associated stuff at door coming in or going out - Jena corralled all to allow Dean access to the Utility room - When I got there he was deep into his work -- interesting tools and meters to read various states of operation - the kids wanted to look into the room too - and Dean was not visibly flustered by the small voices exclaiming enthusiasms about their new found surroundings - They were stunned to see FIRE in the machine as it were - Now they have understanding what is going on when the vent gives off warm air ???? Dean was calm and forthright - as he was on previous occasions - Strait forward about how things were running - Professional and knowledgeable - Once all things were declared as safe and running well - tools were packed up and Cohen offered to carry one of the tool cases upstairs - which he did - Out in the yard Dean discussed the business of payment and how we could benefit from continuing with the Annual Comfort Plan - which of course we adopted - all of this mixed in with a general sense of conversation akin to good will toward all like Tiny Tim talks about in the Christmas Carol - how nice Later that day I discover there is even a rebate offered by Fortis just for this sort of service - Wow - Professional Service delivered by a competent and nice person with the additional bonus of a rebate from supplier - How cool is all that - Happy Halloween indeed ???? If you are reading this and wondering why I go on about Tempco like this - Back in the day I used to work for a real estate company that had many properties under my purview - I was the right hand of the owner and I was in charge of the care and maintenance of a large number of oil fired, gas fired and wood fired appliances as well as all other aspects of the properties - I have dealt with trades and service personnel, and their associated offices a great deal - My experience has given me the opportunity to understand when I have found a place where the ethos is of high quality -Tempco Powell River is such a place - My interactions with Tempco in my utility room or in their office - where High Marks are also to be awarded - - have been excellent every time - ????

Had extensive refrigeration work done on my boat at Tempco. Left on my holidays this summer and a major component seized on the way out after approximately 60 hours of use. The component I replaced gave me over 30 years of service and was still operating when I removed during rebuild of system. Discussions with Tempco resulted in them advising me that they and there supplier were not prepared to do anything for me with regard to failure. They say that supplier (Hiway Refrigeration) has indicated there is many complaints with this product due to manufacture in China and that it should be expected to not provide satisfactory use. Having been in business for years myself, I would never consider that product as part of my repair inventory much less install it for my client. Tempco and Hiway are obviously not adverse to handling sub-standard components and I would advise you be very careful when dealing with them.

My water heater went on a Thursday and I called for help. Dean came and the hi temp switch had tripped. He reset it and the flame came on but after three or so mins. it died. I recalled and told him I wanted to put a new water heater in and he called the office. The next day, on Friday, the office called me and arrangements were made to do a re and re that same day. Although the primary target was for winter heat, we are thoroughly enjoying the a/c just around dinner time when the house heats up with the angle of the late summer sun. At 9:00 or so on Friday morning, I noticed that our hot water tank was leaking. I contacted tempo and they arranged to have a technician come by at 11:00. Mike came by, early actually :-) , and by 2:30 that afternoon, the replacement tank was in and the leaked water from the old tank was cleaned up.....pretty impressive.
