Came out to do a quote for me. The quote was for my microwave oven to be installed above my stove, and three electrical outlets be installed in the basement. Looks at all and gave me a quote for $400. On the day they came out to do the work they two younger gentleman that came where efficient and polite. When they finish the three electrical outlets they were prepped to leave and I reminded them of the microwave oven installation. They didn't know anything about it but we're requesting the $400 amount for the quote. I called the gentleman who had originally come out for the estimate and he told me it didn't include the microwave oven. I asked him why he didn't tell me at that time? Went on to tell him if I'm calling him out to do a quote for all of the above, he looks at all of the above, then gives me a number, am I not to assume that is for all of the above? He said yes but he forgot to tell me but he wrote it in his notes. I found that very shady as three electrical outlets should not cost $400. I let him know I was very upset. There was a bit of back-and-forth on the phone and he trifled quite a bit. He eventually said he would get them to do the install but that if they had to go in through the walls they couldn't do it today cuz they hadn't booked off the time. They took a look and within seconds came back and said they couldn't do it. I asked them okay how are we going to make payment for the outlets then? How much for the outlets ? I said to him, it usually cost approximately $75 per Outlets. As I was saying this one of the younger gentleman were nodding their head in confirmation. He asked to speak to the younger gentlemen, they went outside to speak to him alone on the phone, then came back inside and said they were just going to leave and not collect anything from me at all. So essentially the three Outlets became no charge. That was not what I was looking for, I was more than happy to pay for my work. But I felt like I was left feeling like the bad guy like I had done something wrong. If he wanted to comp the service, he should have come back on the phone to tell me he was sorry for the stress & I was going to be comped. He didn't even come back and speak to me. He said nothing to me, just sent them back inside to To tell me they were taking no money and leaving. There was no apology. So I got the Feeling strongly I was being made to feel like they were just leaving because I was a hassle. Although the younger gentleman were very nice and worked efficiently, the whole experience is very uncomfortable and bothered me over the next couple of weeks because how I was made to feel at the end. I believe he tried to overcharge me, as after he gave me the quote he found out I was a business owner . But this was not for my business, this was for my house. Even when I hired electricians for my business they charge me approximately $75 per Outlet. I believe rather than own it he tried to leave me feeling like it was me who had done something wrong.
