I had the furnace ignition board replaced. They charged the part way more expensive than anywhere else. The reason they said was they got it for retail price. And that universal part we can get from ebay or amazon is wholesale price. Does it make sense? For individual, we can get it anywhere for wholesale price but an established business like Rick's must pay a retail price to get them so they can charge us much more?

The service technician that came to our home to install our new Trane AC unit was friendly, courteous and professional. Our home has never had AC so it was a new install. Friday morning we had no cooling system and by Friday afternoon we were set up for the hot days ahead. He cleaned up the area after installation and walked me through everything he had done. We'd highly recommend Mike's Electric to anyone needing repairs or thinking of a new installation. It was a nice positive consumer experience and I wouldn't hesitate to point interested parties in their direction. ????????????????????

Have a Trane XL 95 furnace installed by mikes nothing but problems , keeps running on high limit the guy who installed it plus there top tech from Vancouver said caused by bad install to small of plenum, 4 ignitors installed in 2017. had a different contractor in found out the primary chamber is cracked because of limit problem now i have to get new furnace. This furnace cost almost $6000 in 2010 because of install not worth $6.00. This furnace was purchased threw Home depot so be aware of contractors that they get because the owner of this place is horrible

Mike's Electric installed a ductless air conditioner as the house is electrically heated and has no ducts for regular air conditioning. From start to finish all staff were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The installers Cody and Mike did an excellent job - clean, careful, explained things well ! Kudos to both of them ! I would definitely recommend Mike's Electric!

I had Mikes Electric in for a few jobs so far. I intended asking them to return for the remainders. I was satisfied; I had no reason to go elsewhere. Technicians were friendly. Something that stands out positively, is that they responded quickly to replace my nasty, old leaking water heater (pre covid craziness). Under approx. 1 year later, the unit purchased and installed by them was found leaking. I contacted them by phone explaining. I ended up feeling brushed aside, given the run around and simply unheard. I asked, if they could come and have a look at the leak (this is a rather newly installed unit in my mind) and I was told, “We are too busy with other things”. I then fell compelled to awkwardly inquire, “Well…isn’t their some sort of warranty or guarantee here?”… This progressed to a convoluted response and a trailing off. I ended up feeling more or less like a burden and I decided to politely end the phone call. I have decided that I will no longer be continuing to use Mikes Electrics services . I have since secured another electrician for my needs, as I don’t want this to happen when further invested. A rather blatantly expressed lack of motivation to stand behind a product/service was experienced, while using the current situation(s) as an argument as the reason “why” or “why not” you matter as a customer.
