Had a great experience. First time taking a vehicle to this business. With the current COVID lockdown wanted to keep it local and I am out of warranty with the dealer. The drop off was easy. The Service was Oil Change/MVI/Seasonal Tire Change. All were done without issue. The email communication (with pictures!) was great and really showed me they were working in my best interest (having a father who was/is a retired mechanic means I know what Im looking at, I just don't have a place to do it!). Will use them in the future without doubt.

I had not started my car for four days over Christmas, when I tried it would turn over but not start. I called Larry Hatt's at aaround noon. By 2 pm the car was in their garage and by 4:45 they had called me and let me know that it was fixed and that I could pick it up at the after hours pick up. This was on New Years Eve. Larry Hatt is probably the most honest and straight forward buissness owner that I've ever met. He runs a slick operation that features email service reminders and workflow updates, predictable and prompt scheduling, and pre covid a customer shuttle service. Not being a garage that is stuck in the past, Larry Hatt has an excellent website. I really like having a car service/repair provider that has embraced the modern age. All work is thoughly explained. The bills never feature mysterious charges for "shop supplies" or other nonsense. They take care to not damage or dirty your vehicles cabin, and you even find out which specific technician did the work... which I think is a great source of accountability. A very community minded buissness, they support local charities and even display messages for local places on their ad board for FREE. Going to Larry Hatt's makes me feel good about spending my cash locally on a business that further supports the local community.

While the work was minimal ( a simple off the car tire repair, the wait about 10 minutes wasn’t appreciated ti settle the bill. I was asked if I got a call saying it was ready I dropped it of at roughly 8 am so I’d assume it’d be ready by 5:30 pm The wait while not appreciated was more the not knowing if the tire was actually repaired yet! I understand finishing another customers paper work ( who isn’t there is important too) But the tire being ready should have been conveyed to me so I wasn’t wondering if I was waiting for nothing. Note:I’m only commenting because it may be something that can be corrected - minor but important and secondly because I trashed the first to 2 emails for a comment of my experience . So this is it. Other than that good job

Larry seems like a great guy. Manager Kori is non chalant. 3 weeks going and no quote for engine replacement after promising to get back in 2 days. Wasted my time collecting all my details. Went in on 3 different occasions within 3 weeks asking feedback but manager nonhalantly dismisses me saying it has not been done. Meanwhile I got 3 other quotes within 2 days from other companies. Infact my engine has been replaced at autowerks. I get the feeling of some kind of descrimination there. I wish them well alas I will never be back. Autowerks won me over. Great guys and personality at autowerks.

I had my car in for the first time and I am very pleased with the service. Kory (the service manager) was very knowledgeable and friendly, it is clear she is very educated about vehicles. I really liked the detailed report and that they include pictures before and after service. I also needed a shuttle back to my house with my 7 month old and to avoid taking car seats out, they offered to take me back in my own car, which was very helpful. Larry (the owner) was present during all of my visits which is great to see. He went through my detailed report and made sure I understood what was being done to my vehicle. Overall, my experience was fantastic and we will be returning for all of our repair needs.

I had some concerns as to whether my alternator, or battery were failing, or if it was a simple electrical component causing my low beam headlights to flicker on and off. Both Larry, and the young lady, Ashley at the front desk were very informative, and courteous, and booked me an appointment at 0745, and Larry provided shuttle service to and from my place as they worked on my vehicle, diagnosing the problem. Rather than jack up the price, and say that there was more wrong with it than there actually was(like alot of shops would), they simply charged me the flat rate which was surprisingly low.

I can't say I am very pleased with the services here. I do not plan on going back as they clearly did not fix what was wrong with my car after a paying $350. 3-4 weeks after my appointment, my check engine light comes on... Again. How am I supposed to trust a place like this. After driving away I could still feel the issues I was before. But thought that I could trust the work that they had done, I was clearly fooled. I do not recommend ANYONE go there.

Beware if you are a female! Had a friend take her car there for a check engine light. I had previously checked the codes and they were "small leak evaporative system" and "very small leak evaporative system". They ran a diagnostic and told her it was most likely her charcoal canister even though she said that she could smell gas at the back of the car. I asked her if they changed the gas cap and they hadn't. I Changed the gas cap and cleaned up the rust on the filler neck where the gas cap seals, reset her codes and problem solved for $13.78 with taxes vice the $ 400 they quoted for a new canister.

Basically, this place is the Cadillac of businesses, at Honda costs. From the first time my car was seen there, in June-ish, service has been amazing! They offer price options and discuss work needed before doing anything. I know this is usually a given but I have had some bad experiences, with a different business. These fine folks are renewing my faith in the trade, and people in general! Larry Hatt, the owner, does the courtesy driving, which is always offered pleasantly. He is full of funny, upbeat stories and topics of conversation. I always end up laughing most of the trip. This is a very thorough business - and not at all a money grab, like some places. When you pick up your vehicle, they show you photos, on a large screen, of inside your car, what they worked on, and any other checks they were performing. There’s even a photo of the mechanic included! You receive a complete, detailed write up of what’s been done or what your car needs, with no pressure or hassle. Cory (manager) or Larry (owner) will go through everything with you, so you are well informed. Everyone is so helpful! Today, they went even more above and beyond than usual. They were kind enough to wave costs of roadside assistance and some labor on a repeat issue, that was later determined to not be anything that was missed or any fault at all on their part. It easily could have cost close to $100. It was such a kind gesture. I really needed to catch a break and they tossed this one to me! I’m impressed with this trustworthy, respectful business! Oh, let’s not forget, whenever you pick up your car, you will find another little thank you on your dash. I’ll keep that a sweet surprise... but don’t worry, it’s nothing like the surprises my cat brings me! ????

Great experience! We were able to get an appointment within a week, and dropped the car off for an inspection and to have our tires changed to winters. Very pleased with the online services, text reminders, photos sent to us detailing the service, and the cost estimate of work that needs to be done. Larry is very good. I am red seal appliances repair technician and I know when a person is good. I went for an oil leak on my kia soul, and Larry change the filter. Sure enough the filter blew again and Larry went back at it and fixed the problem. Not trying to hide, no B.S. For me that is the test for a professional. I found my Auto service center.

I called a few days earlier and was able to book very easily. We came from out of province and brought in a second hand truck for a pre-purchase evaluation. They kindly gave us shuttle services to Ikea and back at no charge. The evaluation was very thorough, they explained everything in details, images were provided, they emailed us the complete reports and even printed a colour copy for the owner to keep with all of the details. I was very impressed at how nice the staff was, the owner came to meet us in person and drove the shuttle. We also wanted to say how happy we are to see that this business supports women working in the trades!! Two thumbs up, would absolutely recommend!

Had diagnostics and battery replacement at end of May this year. There were a couple miscellaneous charges on the bill I did not understand... Over time the battery needed more and more recharging. 2 days ago had it replaced with another battery from Larry Hatt's Auto Service. Got it home and found it was not charged. Tried charging, but it would not go past 70 % and took a couple of hours. Returned once more and discovered it was a 3 year old battery! Shoddy products... However, the staff were agreeable and pleasant.

I had to have my transmission cooling lines replaced on my Dodge Ram, as they were leaking. I was quoted $496.00 taxes in. My final bill was $434.00 taxes in. When do you get a final bill that’s lower than the original quote?? The reason I was told, is that it took less time to complete the job. Can you just see a Dealership doing that!! Thanks Larry for being honest. I also like being able to see via computer video, my Ram on the hoist and a picture of my leaking lines plus when they were replaced. I’m impressed. Very professional. I’m was looking for a place to service my 2012 Ram as the Dealership prices were out to lunch. I think I’ve found my service guy in Larry Hatt’s Auto Service.
