Inspectors were very good, but administration of the account was very poor. E-mailing the incorrect files, incorrect dates and other errors on reports, they did not send the necessary receipts to Efficiency Nova Scotia on time, and did not reply to requests from Efficiency Nova Scotia. After our rebate was a month late, we intervened and dealt with Efficiency NS directly. Avoid if you can!

Inspection service is good but rebate process is horrible. We got a heat pump installed around June of 2019 and had them inspect the installation and submit the rebate end of July. It has been 4 months since then, and we still haven't received our refund. Apparently they (Amerispec) had a "glitch" in their system which has delayed their process. I am left wondering now whether i should just totally avoid these people and call efficiency NS directly. Update: i finally received a rebate from efficiency NS without any action from my part! Thank you

Great home inspection by Glen. He had so much info, not only for things that needed to be changed, but also for things that didn't need to be changed but could be for the better. He also had names of people to contact and since I was new to the area. He had extra info to add such as he found out that I enjoy surfing so he told me the good spots to hit up and he added general bits of info about the area. He was very informative throughout the inspection and took me on a walk through of the whole house inside and out. If I didn't understand what something was, he told me what it was used for, why, and the cost of maintaining it. He had a camera that took pictures of the infloor heating and he took pictures of specific things my insurance asked for. He told me about the area I was moving to, where to buy the best and/or cheapest things I wanted depending on what I was asking for, and what the best things to buy would be for this house. Since I've only ever owned a home in the Caribbean he answered questions about owning a home in Canada, such as about parking my car in a driveway and what to do to, as well as what to do about oil tanks and heating since I've never dealt with that, he recommended oil companies and had cost estimates of what it takes to fill up a tank. The inspection was thorough and the report was clear and concisely written. He also gave me all of the pictures and the report on a usb, as well as printing the report at the inspection for me and a copy for my relator. He was recommended by my relator and they use him as much as they can because of the excellent work he does. He was able to come on short notice and was able to come at the same time as a water inspection was being done, as a bonus the guys knew each other and worked together on inspecting two water pumps. I would highly recommend using Glen to anyone who needs a home inspection and/or radon inspection.

After the Honda moved over, the truck proceeded to slow down when passing the next set of cars. Horrible driving in a company vehicle.

Had booked an assessment for a triplex with the Dartmouth, NS location. They rescheduled me twice which is painful given the challenges of coordinating 3 tenants to be available at the same time. The second time rescheduled they only offered me the next day which didn’t work for the tenants given they had already taken time off work the day before or to go to the back of their waitlist. Entire reno is put on hold until I can get another company by in three months time. Avoid the headaches and go with someone more reliable.

There is a long waiting time for HEA in the province, and AmeriSpec is no different, but I found they were much more responsive than other inspection companies I had reached out to.
