It wasn’t an easy job as they had to run the electrical through the ceiling of a finished basement for the entire width of the house and out to the garage. They did it with a minimum amount of mess and disruption and I am loving my new fast charger.

Despite getting cheaper estimates from two other electricians I decided to go with Plugz. Jason was so much more professional and based his quote strictly from the photos submitted over his website and provided a contract in written form. The others came over and spent a great deal of time looking around and quoted in verbal form. They did not inspire any sense of confidence. In correspondence, Jason was very patient in answering questions and even suggested I save on the Tesla wall charger and go with a NEMA 14-50 outlet instead. After some research, he was right and it is what I decided. He also noticed from the photos that my dryer breaker was not compliant and offered to replace to bring it to code. Upon confirming with Jason, he had a job nearby in two days and was able to fit me in. On learning his job would delay him from our agreed upon time he called me ahead to inform me. On arrival there was some confusion on whether we were installing the Tesla charger or the 14-50 but Jason was very accommodating and said not to worry. He just needed to make sure he had a 14-50 for his next job and proceeded with the installation. Jason and his partner completed the job in 2 hours and everything was done professionally. The job included an inspection by the ESA and he confidently displays his ESA number in all correspondence. I did not get this from any other electricians. Nothing but praise for Plugz, Jason and his team.

Jason managed to find a crew member on a Saturday, just after we discovered that our new Tesla was not charging through the Tesla-brand wall plug. Jason had all the connections re-checked to ensure it was not the wiring. Turns out the problem was faulty wall plug, which he predicted. Tesla then sent their own electrician the following Monday to confirm the Plugz report, and then replaced the wall plug. Happy Ending!

the process of getting an estimate and booking an appointment was done online. it was all straight forward. I have to attach some pictures of the breaker and the location of plug in the garage. They should up for the appointment right on time and did a very clean job. The also included in the price the electrical certification that is done by an independent body and must be done. they set us up for the certification as well.

I don't usually leave reviews because I find it troublesome, but I can't help but to write a review for Plugz given how exceptional their work is. Jason has been very responsive over email with the entire process, making it very headache free. I've asked multiple companies/contractors for pricing, but Plugz pricing has been very competitive compared with other companies. Also given how responsive Jason is, Plugz was the clear winner. On the day of installation, Ed and his partner has been very responsive over text message, notifying me if they will be delayed due to a previous job (I've had my fair share of bad experience in the past with contractors just being late and not responding at all). They were delightful to deal with and very professional. I'll definitely recommend Plugz to anyone looking to get their EV charger installed!

I bought my Model 3 back in September of 2018 and purchase the home wall charger for it. I requested a quote from Plugz which was super easy as they have a great online form where you just submit pictures and info to get an estimate which I love, as no wasted time having them come out first to do a quote or estimate. The pricing was great, but we ultimately decided we wanted to sell our house and get something else where we could eventually go solar, so we put the quote on hold. Moving ahead, we're finally in our new home, so I reached out to Plugz again to get a new quote which was even lower than our previous home. I signed off on the quote and Jason and his colleague were here just a few days later to do the install. They were super professional and had everything done in about 2 hours. The installation is super clean and very professional looking and I couldn't be happier. I was only expecting to get around 40km/hr of charge, but instead am getting 75 which was a nice surprise. So happy to finally have a fast charger and no more relying on the slow 120v one. Thanks so much again!

Plugz was one of three companies that I received a quote from for a home charging station. It was the only company that insisted an upgrade to a 200-amp system was necessary, when in fact it was not, so long that we had proof of energy usage in a load report from Toronto Hydro. I am particularly disappointed with Jason who was dishonest about facts and I presume is simply greedy (as an upgrade from a 100- to 200-amp system would have cost an additional $4000). Those who are in the market for home charging stations - be aware that a company like Plugz may want to upgrade your system when it is likely not necessary. Please do your homework before proceeding with this work.

I would give them 6 stars if I can! Jason did a fantastic job that truly went beyond my expectation. 1. They are prompt. I picked up my Tesla on Wednesday and contacted Jason on Thursday afternoon. Jason came Friday and installed the charger on Saturday. I can't appreciate it more while watching my car charging at 5km/hour when connected to a regular household power outlet. 2. Jason really put the customer's best interest first. There wasn't any space available in the panel but he realized that the previous owner didn't remove the breaker when they renovated and switched to gas stove, so we wouldn't need a new sub panel. Not all contractors would take the time to do this. Most of them would just install a new sub panel and bill you and try to finish and move to next job ASAP. 3. Their job is really neat and professional. Jason took the time to answer all my questions and educated me about the safety issues. They always pay attention to details and don't take shortcuts. 4. Jason is really pleasant to deal with. I like his sense of humor and the little jokes he had with his partner. 5. Last but not least, their price! Their charge is very competitive and fair. Since my installation is a simply job Jason even offered a discount off their standard charge. How many contractors out there would do that? Overall, I'm very happy with them and would recommend everyone give Jason a call when installing the wall charger. I usually don't bother writing reviews but this time I feel Jason really deserve it and I owe him a feedback.

In the preparation of getting ready to welcome our shortly arriving Tesla Model 3, we wanted to have Tesla Wall Charger installed on our premises. So to obtain a quote, I approached three Tesla recommended installers and a local Electrician but with the good reputation. Out of all, Plugz came back with the second best quote without visiting the site, Though I had cheaper quote in hand but what had make me go with Plugz was the time and service they provided to answer all my questions and concern before installation whereas on the contrary, two in particular did not even get back to me on my follow-up questions. As agreed, Jason and his electrician Arman arrived exactly on time with all necessary supplies/materials for the job. I have a unfinished Basement but due to an unusual layout of my house it was bit tricky to come up in a Garage from the Basement. Jason and his crew took their time to plan out all to my satisfaction before began the installation. They were courteous, respectful and easy to talk to. Work was performed professionally, neatly, quickly, and is of high quality. Any mess and left over materials were cleaned up and taken away. One important note, as I said the quote they provided me was without site visit but upon installation, they found that they had to use extra 10 feet of wires, and it was absolutely my fault in providing them wrong information but to my surprise, they did not charge anything extra and honored the same price as quoted. This is was the best example of "stay behind your commitment". ESA Inspection is completed and certificated is granted without any question. I would strongly recommend them for anyone looking for residential or commercial electrical work.

Plugz is the most attentive, professional, and customer-focused installer listed on the Tesla web site. I have an old home and contacted almost all the companies listed on Tesla's site for a quote to install a wall charger. The majority didn't even get back to me for at least a few days and all but two of them (Plugz and one other) gave me a quote without visiting my home, which makes me very skeptical of their quotes. Many of them pushed me hard to upgrade my service to 200 amps (which would be nice, but VERY expensive) and most told me that I had no choice but to install a charger with relatively low amperage. Jason from Plugz, on the other hand, contacted me by phone the day I emailed him, and came to visit my home in person a day later. He did the install a day after that. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and did a load calculation while he was at my home proving me a quote. He pointed out that I could install a charger with 48 amps without upgrading my service. I questioned if he was sure because of the claims by the other installers, but he reassured me and--sure enough--the charger works perfectly and the ESA inspector had no issues at all with the installation. I've charged in the daytime and have never had a breaker trip. Jason gave me a few options regarding the layout of the installation too, and helped me assess the pros and cons of each. He pointed out what might look best now and with potential renovations I might do in the future. The installation itself was done on time and the cost was near the lowest quote I got. (The only lower quote was from someone who hadn't even seen my home, so who knows what "extra" costs might have suddenly popped up if he had actually come to my place.) Plus, Jason is just a friendly guy, as was his employee when they came to do the work. I highly recommend Plugz.
