My old truck was over due for an oil change, and needed to have a battery heater installed. When they did the oil change they checked the other fluids. It turns out I was also dangerously low on anti-freeze, which they topped up for me When Steve gave me the total, I was sure he had a made a mistake; the same work would have cost me double in Toronto. If you are in North Bay and need some work done on your vehicle, R & S is the place to go!

On our way back South we had a piece of our car’s under side come off. We went back for it and put it in the back to get fixed at home. As we came into North Bay our low tire pressure sensor came on. We asked at a local store for a recommendation, what a gift. They sent us to R&S Auto Service, about 1km from where we were. We pulled up and Richard immediately greeted us with a smile. The shop was VERY busy but he said he would take a look at it ASAP. We told him about our other issue that we would fix at home. We went for coffee across the street, came back in 20 minutes and it was done. I mean the flat tire (had a nail) AND reinstalled the under part that came off!!! We didn’t even ask for it to be done but they did it anyway. The price was so reasonable I couldn’t believe it. I wish I lived closer to use them for all my mechanical needs. 4 hour drive (each way) just might be worth it. Thanks for saving our trip home guys, you are awesome.

Needed a quick (3 minute tops) job done on my car and no where in north bay would do it. I went to Canadian Tire, Part Source and two other shops and all said they were backed up until next week and couldn't do it. When I went to R&S they took me in right away and helped me out. Very polite people and nice atmosphere. I will never go to any other mechanic in North Bay if I ever need anything for my car.

Formerly located on Trout Lake Rd (decades), as R & S Auto, and Granite Auto Electric previous to that. Gaetan, Rick, and Steve, have kept three generations of wheels on the ground, just in my family alone! That's top notch! Talk about satisfied customers and repeat business! Not enough good can be said. They've done much for the community, including mentoring and encouraging female tradespeople.
