Its a great store to go buy video games from for all consoles. There has been only a few downsides to the store that I've experienced. I had bought an LG laptop from there and after a year or so the power plug in to the laptop got busted and couldn't charge. So we brought it in and the person said it would only take a week or so. And then we come back in a week and they say do we want to get a part from LG sent to us to fix it. So we say yes and we keep coming back in every week for 2 months and its still not even in. So we just took our laptop back and left the store seeing as they weren't doing anything to help.

I love the Bestbuy here in Cornerstone. Best Bestbuy i have ever visited. I come here for my games, cameras, and other electronics. The staff is very engaging, you can strike up a conversation with just about any one of them. And they usually know what they are talking about. They will go above and beyond to fix any bad experience. The overall service is excellent.

The employees need to be trained more in all parts of the store. I bought a video card from the store and asked multiple questions to the cashier before leaving with the new item: i) Can I take this back if it does not fit the computer? - Yes, you can. ii) So if I open it I can still take it back for a full refund? - Yes. iii) How long do I have to return something? - You have until January to return it since it's the holidays. I called this morning to make sure I can return it and the rep said no, there is absolutely nothing we can do now that it is open. Goodbye 260$ because BestBuy cannot train their employees to give the proper information.

Needed a power supply for my laptop. Salesman suggested a universal model, most expensive in store. Turned out that the tip for the socket in the laptop was not part of the standard kit, so not quite universal, though I could have the maker send it to me. By the time I got it I would be back home using the one I had left behind. Then, there was one person being served at the returns desk by first one then 3 staff, but no one even looked my way. Maybe other locations are better but this place doesn't even rate a fair.

They advertise free shipping over$35. I ordered a deep freeze and they tacked on $277.99 shipping for a 40 minute drive. Other Appliance stores in Princes Albert have free delivery to the same town. The we informed them it was on an acreage just outside of town, and was informed that they don't deliver to farms/acreages. They cancelled the order, and told me they would refund the $639.34 for a $299 freezer. The next week, no refund had been received, so I checked the number on their website and it was listed as still needing my input as to where to deliver the freezer. So I called them, and the one lady hung up on me. I called them back, adn finally got through to someone else and they told me that refunds usually take a week or longer?!?!?!?! WHY? With today's tech, refunds at other stores take less than 30 minutes! Needless to say, i wont be buying ANYTHING from best buy ever again. Best check Leons over these guys, they have a lot better customer service, and refunds are same day.

Worst experience at bestbuy. We bought a device on a roadtrip from Montreal, found it not working as expected, called the original store and was assured we could return in any store within 14 days. However, when we reached this store and explained the problem to them, the mobile section rejected our request outright saying they could not take a return since it would impact their bottomline. When asked to speak to their Montreal colleagues, the said it was the bestbuy policy therefore beyond their control. It seems their manager of mobile section makes a different rule here! Frustrated, we went to another nearby store and got the device returned without any problem.

We had the Saint John Best Buy GEEK SQUAD over to Calibrate a new 4 TV. They made that TV Picture the Best it could be made I think. Unreal. The sales staff also took the time to explain the various makes and models to us. Will definitely be going back to buy a 55'' Tv from Best Buy Saint John, and getting their GEEK SQUAD to Calibrate that unit as well. Thanks for all the help.

Meanwhile I still have my card out ready to pay for it but now questioning if I should or not when the guy isn’t certain that it’s even in stock but that ‘it should be ok?’ What if I pay for the thing and it doesn’t come in? And so I say “I’m not sure if I feel comfortable with ‘it should be ok’ “ He waits about 7 seconds still typing before he says to me “you can go to another store we refuse to serve you” I am still in complete shock! I did NOT use any sort of rude tone in my voice nor did I give any reason for this treatment. I was standing there being patient and wondering what was going on but getting no answers! And I was simply telling him how he was making me feel about the whole transaction. Waiting for him to put my mind at ease with an explanation but instead I get thrown out.. I am a quiet person who stays away from conflict, scenes or any of that sort of stuff. I have never in my life been treated so rudely, I felt my face go red in embarrassment and I walked out feeling humiliated. on Sept 15th I went into Best Buy to look at a computer for my sister as a Christmas Present, I was told that we could not set up the computer our self, that Best Buy Geek Squad must do it but we were lucky as they were all caught up so the computer could be ready in 6 hours. As we didn't live in Saint John we told them we would be back in the morning and to call us when it was ready. waited but no call so called them and they final;y said it would be ready within the hours. Well that didn't happen, had to wait a couple of hours, felt they had not even started to set it up. My sister wanted to buy the membership$19.99 and gave them her credit card, however after I got home discovered they had charged me. My total bill was $489.30, which would have been fine but it was one thing after another of excuses. It was not a pleasant purchase for me even though it was a present. I should have known better I never go to Best Buy in Markham (where I live) the awful service is the same here so I use Staples or the Shopping Channel. Unbelievable bad service. Second time in a row, Same issue. back in 2010-2011 went in and asked for a laptop that could run games at regular performance, nothing crazy just 30ish fps and med to high graphics on non AAA titles like TF2 or league of legends. of which i got a gateway laptop for about 500.00 that somewhat met those standards but quickly degraded overtime. More recently i came in looking for a new one because the old laptop couldn't even play TF2 at more than 5fps with nothing but the essential programs running, steam and the game. I requested the same margins for quality and got a 700.00 laptop that the sales rep told me could run GTA V easily. However the laptop i got could even run a 8-bit game of pokemon or a Ps2 Emulation without having severe issues and all the the processors running. when i noticed this and brought it into geek squad they looked at it for a day and nothing changed. turns out the graphics card in the computer it meant for office work, and some reviews even say it's not fit to even do that well. (AMD Radeon R5 quad core) The short of it is do your research before going into the store and don't take what the sales rep's say as fact because they are just trying to make sales on garbage products. (The source tends to have better deals, and more knowledgeable employees anyways)

Upon returning defective headphones one day after purchase I was given a hard time. I had the receipt and all packaging. In fact th headphones were not even worn because the defect was physical in nature and was obvious. The ear padding was coming apart. I was told that I must provide my address and personal information - I refused and it went to a manager who compiled with me. I had the receipt and that is all that should be required. Best Buy has no right to harbor personal information of mine. I'd also like to note that most who work there are less than helpful and I waited an hour for help once before leaving the store. I went to the front and they wouldn't even call someone to help me. Instead of hiring a bunch of kids who don't know jack maybe they should hire some people who actually understand what they sell.

Really a shame to lose sales and a customer simply by a strange refusal to apply their own policy. It's really hard to understand. I will continue to encourage local businesses that respect their customers and Best Buy is not one of them. Like many others, I will be buying from Amazon. I have tried two locations in Barrie and NorthBay. Why does a store that sells stereos not have speaker wire? They both told me they had to order it....I would get it in 4 days. I've done multiple returns and as I've had no issues. Just be sure of their return guidelines. Not only are you not able to speak with anyone in the store, the lack of signs for curbside pick-up make this store a nightmare to shop at. The ONLY sign that indicates that the door is for best buy is the sign for delivery drivers. We ended up having to go INTO the building anyway just to find out where to pick up, which defeats the purpose of curbside in the first place. We also make a $500 purchase and my ID was not checked. If I could have left less than a 1 star, I would have.

Not a bad store but sales people push subpar products...good if you know what you want. Went in to buy a screen protector for my phone..wanted tempered glass..salesperson talked me into a soft type that they install and is guaranteed for life for 35 dollars. It lasted 4 days and started to peel...sure its replaced for free but wasn't interested in returning on a regular basis and waiting in line for a reapplication. Service was disappointing. I went in to Best Buy in Prince Albert to purchase a MacBook pro. Was looking to buy THAT day. I had an odd experience with a Canon lens I bought on a Boxing Day sale. The lens was almost two thirds off the regular price. I got the last one, but the box was very damaged, I went back two more times during the sale and they never got any more stock. I made the mistake of not opening the box to look at the lens for two months! When I did open it, I found that the lens had been used, not repackaged properly and the lens had obvious scratches and was not clean. When I took it back, the guy at the customer service said no way I can do anything for you you've had the product for over 15 days. I asked to see the manager and they offered me an instore credit. I asked to see the store manager and he allowed me to exchange it for a new one. So this was in good faith on their part, though I gave them new money for what I thought was a new lens, which someone obviously used for a week or so and took back during the busy Christmas rush, and was put back on the shelf as "new". The experience wasn't that great, do to the attitude of the customer service guy, who still was treating me like I was BSing them. But they did give me a complete exchange, so I am satisfied. It pays to have them open up any purchase, and check it for use or damage. I notice they routinely do this for TVs for the last couple of years. Customer service really need to check returns as well for use.

Prince Albert's Store seems to be always clean and somewhat organized. They also appear to loose a lot of useful products that I enjoyed being able to access. I am told this is based on proximity of people. Sales people always are nice. The only thing I don't appreciate at all about Best Buy is their Reward Zone gimmick. I say gimmick because the way they implement the reward system ensures you are not likely to be rewarded at all. I purchased a washer online and was never credited with the reward zone points. Customer services says I never entered my number on the order. Okay, what ever. Subsequent purchases were made - dryer, freezer, dishwasher etc... I received the points but I didn't read the fine print. You are awarded the points weeks after and then if you don't print them out and spend them within 180 days they go away. So I lost all mine. Who's not too busy to keep track of these points. Essentially they make this reward system so you have to hurry up and purchase something more to benefit from the meager points you get from purchases. You need to carry I.D. too in case they ask you during the spending of your points coupon. I say please, Best Buy, get with the rest of society and allow me to decide when to spend my rewards.

Best Buy North Bay....or should we call them worst buy? Went in to take a look at a television. Nobody in that department. Do, go looking. Where are they? All up front having happy social time. Then nobody seemed to know what department they worked in. Finally got a kid to come with me, and it turned out he knew nothing. My questions were simple. Let's find the remote and see if the tv does what it claims. He couldn't find the remote. Couldn't answer questions. Told me to call the customer service line, get the answers I was looking for then come back and buy it. Yeah, not a chance. There's the reason I never spend more than $50 there and buy all my electronics elsewhere. Oh, and you should stop lying to customers about your scam environmental fee.

When I went in they were helpful, they helped me find what I needed, or what I thought I needed and I then purchased the laptop I had been shown and told it would do what I needed it to do. I had to order it since there was none left in stock. When I brought it home after it came in I went about setting it up only to find out that it in fact DOES NOT do what I need it to do. After having our home broken into - we wnt to Future Shop to buy a home security system. We paid for the system and installation of it up front. They were scheduled to come to our house to install it on Feb 14th - 2 weeks after the purchase. My husband took the afternoon off from work so that he would be here for when tehy arrived. When he heard nothign from them by 1PM he called the store to confirm they were coming. He was told that the person who does the installations was out and if we were on the list - they would be at our house. Since we made the appointment - he waited out the afternoon. NOBODY SHOWED UP AND NOBODY CALLED TO SAY THEY WEREN"T SHOWING UP. when I came home from work I called the store to find out what was going on. After 45 minutes of trying - someone FINALLY answered the phone. they said they would look into it and get back to us. over an hour later they called and said that the installation had been cancelled in their computer. Today we are returning the security system - they can shove it up their A$$. all the electronics that were stolen from our home - WE WILL NOT BE REPLACING ANY OF THEM AT FUTURE SHOP! I'm not sure how a computer can cancel an appointment all by itself - since a human has to enter the information into it... but we are VERY UNSATISFIED

I am quite disappointed with not only online purchasing, but also this retail location. Purchased an laptop here today and was informed it'd need a reset, not a problem. I get a call approx 30 minutes later just as I'd arrived back to school, I came back to pick it up. Returning to school with it to find out not only was it not reset, they neglected to even check if it was reset in the first place. Brought it back and was told "It'll just take a couple hours." I checked back on the way home 3 hours later, I can see the box containing my laptop through a window they have in their office, my laptop nowhere to be seen on the bench so this leads me to believe it's still in the box. The bench had 2 laptops on it when I dropped it off. Upon inquiring about my laptop I was told "It's still GOING" insinuating they began the process... Outright lie to my face. It is currently 7 hours since then. I've called a few times and have been told now that it'll probably be tomorrow before it'll be done. I've personally done many resets on computers and laptops, when I offered to do the reset myself if I was provided the admin login password I was turned down. Factory resets, even when needing to reinstall windows, takes no more than 3 hours. I hate to be the whiner, but this service is just plan unacceptable. I will not be shopping here in the future.

We were there today, looking to buy a new phone, and the same thing happened. An older gentleman was waiting at an empty counter, an employee walked right past him and couldn’t even be bothered to make eye contact. I went in to help buy a laptop for my Aunt. I was told that the in store setup was required (an extra $20) and that I would not be able to set it up on my own out of the box, which is totally untrue. Apparently this charge would be applied even if I had ordered the laptop online. So I drove up the rode to Costco & got an equivalent laptop, no extra setup fees required ! This is the 2nd time this year I've had problems with this store. The other issue was reserving an in stock item on the website & upon arriving my confirmed registration was nowhere to be found! Now this was a fabulous experience...I dealt with JASON and he was great from start to finish for the exchange ( in which I ended up upgrading so they made more money lol ) It was quick and easy and we got delivery worked out... now they don't know who is out sourced for delivery which is also frustrating ...they told me dates could be changed when the company calls to book delivery as per info they have...today March24, 2021 I receive an automated message for delivery tomorrow between certain times, I will be at work ...I called the 1866 number to get a customer service representative who can't be helpful because all she can do is send an email to whatever company it is and request a change , and they want dates for the next 7 days , all of which I work... so now I am frustrated again waiting for an email, and hoping they don't show up tomorrow as it is a delivery and pick up of damaged model...plus I need to bring food elsewhere to be stored ... there are a lot of gaps in being able to communicate effectively with best buy...

This particular visit I went in for the express purchase of a Bluetooth headset for my cell phone. Normally they don't have an issue with price matching other vendors in Canada, however this time around I was given grief because I was trying to price match something on Amazon. Went there to make an order in Prince Albert. While there they got my son a balloon to play with and my daughter a nice leather chair to sit in since she wasn't feeling very good. Then they gave my kids each a Lego package to build at home. I made my last purchase at Future Shop forever...customer service is terrible, if you want to call it customer service. Purchased a laptop, but was out of stock on the home and office Microsoft pkg, but told me it would come in and honor the $99.99 sale price later on. Today they no longer will have the 2010 version but I can buy the 2013 version for $129.99. Since when do stores promise something they cannot no longer stock and their only solution is to sell you something else at a greater price. We walked around that area for about 10 min with no one coming to see if we needed help. We spotted 2 young men at the check out counter, one on their phone another watching the football game. We stood there another 5 min or so to see if they would come to help us but they were too "busy" We headed toward the door and looked down an isle and saw another employee on his phone leaning against the end of a counter and yet 2 more young girls at the customer service desk at the exit again on ther phones. It's pretty sad when you cant get any help because everyone is too "busy"

I always buy my electronic and phone in this place. The staff will listen to you without any pressure. Some phone will even come with gift cards up to 200$! The only thing I miss in this place is that the place is not big enough, so most of the big articles like freezer, fridges, stationary bike and so on are not in the store. You have to buy them online and some time it will not be exactly what you expect. I recently got a stationary bike and it was making too much noise, I have to return it; if I was able to try it in store , this will have save me time and effort of mounting a bike. But they accepted the return without any trouble. One last thing, best buy should think of removing the annual fees on their credit card. Most popular places like Canadian Tire, Tanguay etc. have card without annual fees. I know people that will not buy in Best Buy just because of that. But I recommend this place.

When in to get a laptop and informed about VIP sale coming so waited about three weeks for the event. Finally the event arrived and found a great deal! Got it home and it wouldn't connect wireless to internet. Called and they said got to bring it in because it didn't have the drivers, so i took time from work to bring it in for a quick fix. Turned out it was defective and even though they had others available to exchange it with, I had to send it away to get fixed or get my money back because a new one was couple hundred more than what i paid... What service you get from this place depends on the day. I've had some excellent experiences but more often than not, you see groups of employees talking instead of helping customers. I've had more than one experience there where I've stood near a product for 15 minutes watching employees actively avoiding walking the long way around so they don't actually have to interact with customers. When you do finally track someone down to help you, they typically pull their phone out and pull up the website info if you have any questions. The in store stock can be brutal too. Bestbuy needs to decide if they want to be an online store of a physical store because not stocking things and directing me to the website is the best advertising for Amazon that I've ever seen. One employee that is always awesome to deal with is Grady (i think that's his name, he's typically at customer service). He's awesome and very pleasant to deal with.

When I asked the supervisor for a discount, given the fact that I'm now taking an old lens for which I paid the full amount {$479.99}for a new lens and camera it was flatly denied. I would like to give zero star but 1 is the minimum to post a review. I have recently purchased a dishwasher through Best Buy which included free installation and free pick up of the old appliance (confirmed by the phone agent at the time of purchase). Unfortunately, the dishwasher was delivered but uninstalled. The delivery person refused to install or to pick up the old machine even though recycling is free in Québec. I have called and written to Best Buy for at least 6 times over the passed month but each time I was told that I would get a follow-up within 48 hours which I never did. The old dishwasher and new unopened dishwasher have been sitting there for over a month now. I wanted to end this and asked for a refund because I never received the installation service that was promised. However, Best Buy said the 30-day period has passed and they can no longer issue me a refund. They also said that if I want it installed, I would need to pay for it now. There isn't much I can do now except I want to give everyone a warning before they purchase any items from Best Buy that requires installation services.
