Asked for a quote to have absestos isolation removed and replaced, was told they don't come out to remove only, would have to replace. That was fine, exactly what I wanted. No one was avaible to do the quote for over 3 weeks, when they arrived they said "oh we don't remove absestos". It's shocking that individuals booking quotes don't understand what the company does or doesn't do and can not articulate that their customers, especially when it comes to an all-too-common and highly toxic material found in older homes that would typically use their services.

Dealing with green foot has been great every step of the way. Very informative and prompt with all correspondence with us so far. Bought a heat pump, and so did my parents. Having the same issue as other people in the comments. Shuts off by itself, and wont come back on. Also looking closer at the installation , some obvious corners were cut, like not caulking around holes for the electrical to enter the residence. Coming from someone who used to install heat pumps. This is not a good company to buy heat pumps from. Very frustrated :(

My natural gas bill is down $200 a month and my electrical bill hasn't gone up!! Adam and Jason guided me through the federal and provincial rebate programs to make sure I got the most money back. The installation teams were courteous, professional and could answer any questions I had. They even gave me a 10 minute tutorial on how the heat pumps work. Just put one in my home in mid November, 3 times it has shut down on us. twice in first week. Called last week when it happened again. Promised to get back to us. Never did. Would not recommend them.It has now shut down 5 times in just over a month, with no results in sight. Will keep you posted.

UPDATE: I was contacted by Adam of Greenfoot and must say that after speaking with him, I fee much better about my decision. Adam has provided exemplary customer service and assured me that issues such as those I experienced are not their norm, which I can totally believe. I am very impressed with the quick contact and solutions to the problems incurred at the install,and I am therefore changing my review to 5sstar. A company is only as good as the service they provide when clients incur issues. This company definitely puts clients first. Thank you Adam!! And thank you too Joe for building a company that listens. Before deciding which way to go for a heat pump, I checked out the reviews on the local installers and was very happy to see how well Greenfoot was rated. How could I go wrong with all those wonderful reviews right? Did I just get them on their worst day ever?? Are my expectations just too darn high?? After the installers were instructed to use the walkout and back gate to complete their install, it seems they decided they liked walking over my berber carpet with muddy boots much better than taking a few extra steps as requested. To be clear, not wet boots, mud coated boots. Oh well, nothing that a $50 carpet cleaner rental and 3 hours of backbreaking stair cleaning wouldn't solve. At 70 years old it is just what I look forward to doing for sure. Oh yes and when they were finished and I started asking a few questions about how the unit worked I was politely informed he simply did not know the answer and was instructed to "read about it in the manual..." One of the installers took a few minutes to stand in front of the unit and set it up, very quickly and efficiently while spewing out what he was doing with the little white rectangular thing with buttons that he had in his hand. I soon found out it was the remote control when he handed it to me and basically said, "have a great day". Very polite gentlemen, but would not exactly call them helpful. So I have a heat pump that I have been playing with since they left to see just what it will do. I was told however, that I should keep the little door open and aimed at the floor for the best circulation....ok, awesome thanks. Look folks, if anyone is getting Greenfoot to install, make sure you put down lots of tarps or old sheets on your carpets and be prepared to learn on how to operate your Heat Pump on your own. I guess I will "Google it". Oh yes and thanks to one of the past reviews who said they did not caulk the areas where they brought wires etc into the house, I managed to catch it before they left and asked them to insulate/calk the holes...oh yes, and I checked the electrical panel and requested that they label which breakers they used for the Pump as well. So, draw your own conclusions here folks, but...... well......a two star rating is the best I can do because they were, after all, very pleasant and polite.
