I took the Plumbing course at the Mississauga campus. Joined the program with barely any experience working with tools, and considered myself a little too old to start a trade until a friend convinced me otherwise. Three months later and I'll be graduating tomorrow, and start a job in the industry Monday. That was my main goal and this program made it happen for me. I learned a lot, Joe is a very good instructor who knows what he's talking about 100%. Of course, you have to show up everyday and try hard otherwise you'll fall behind then it can be a struggle. Would have been a 5 star rating for me if it was less expensive.

I wish I got half my money back. I got an electrical instructor named John who could care less about our learning. Please don’t waste $9000 on this. I could teach you everything they taught me for a quarter of the price. This should be your last option to get in the trades. The only con is that the program lasts 3 months instead of most 1 year programs. Really disappointed with who I got as a teacher. where’s my $4500?

Phil Harrison

I’ve learned a lot in such a short time. I went from very little experience to being confident with the tools, code (C.E.C) and terminology that are used in the field. I recommend this course to anyone who is looking for experience and wants to pursue a career in the trades. I enjoy coming here everyday and the days pass so quick that the 12 weeks will fly by for you. Joe is a great teacher and with his experience in the field can guide you in the right direction to the path you want.

Aaron

I have learned so much the last couple months. The classes keep me interested. The school has very good communication and they are always there to help. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of attending here

Amos Stevens

Excellent school that teaches you hands on experience that will get you job ready in 12 weeks. The staff here are very knowledgeable and provide you information not only from course material but they bring actual job experience into the classroom. They teach us everything from rough in houses to commercial. Great school and overall a amazing experience!

Jonathan Hodgins

I am currently enrolled at the STC college campus is Mississauga, this course, at only 12 weeks gives you hands on, real world experience to prepare you for the work experience afterwards. Also received realistic workplace experience and a Red Cross certification along with a working at Heights program certification.

I just finished my 3 month pre-apprenticeship at the skilled trades college of Canada. I could truly say it was one of the best decision's of my life. They give you the in class work of everything you will be doing on the job as an electrician. From learn about theory, code, conduit bending, how to wire homes, and many more. Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get into the trades.

Mike Lesther Agan

I was a student at skill trade college and I have to say it was a very rewarding experience and I learned a lot the teachers who were formerly in the trade know how to explain the material very well and they also help you find a apprenticeship afterwards. For anyone looking to get into the trade I would highly recommend this course!

8/3/2018: Almost done the first of the 3 month program and am confident that I've made a good career change choice mid-life: plumbing is a solid gig to get into and this school will help teach you things that should help you get into the industry. The Mississauga campus plumbing instructor, Joe, is great and doesn't sugar-coat things for you, helping to better prepare you for the industry. My friend has been in trades for a while and is always surprised to hear what I've learned thus far. I'd recommend this place to others interested in the industry. Update 8/27/2018: Although I tried calling plumbers for apprenticeships and applying for apprenticeships online prior to entering this college, the lack of success landing such a position prompted me to take the plumbing pre-apprenticeship course at STC at Mississauga. I secured 2 jobs within my first 2 weeks at the college: both were laborer-type jobs that had excellent prospects for plumbing apprenticeships, positions that were far easier to secure than an outright apprenticeship. In my opinion, getting one's foot in the door with a company via a less than desirable position is a good way to prove yourself to them and earn an apprenticeship: the road less traveled can offer low-hanging fruit that can lead to rewards in short order. I will caution one to do their research on their prospective employers though, as some will use you for general labor almost indefinitely, or so it would seem. Temper your worthy skills with the reality that you may not be offered all you desire outright. I now feel that I will never fear for my job security and am looking forward to a rewarding career.

Drew Donnelly

Great school, tons of hands on experience!

dubb aman

I will really recommend this place to take pre apprentice plumbing course just for 3 months to easily get in the trade. Amazing labs to learn more practically....

I got the job right after graduating.

Chris Sotiropoulos

My time at the Mississauga campus has been great. Very informative and educational. I have learned quite a lot. Joe is a great teacher, and with his 30 plus years of experience he teaches us the ins and outs plumbing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the edge of applying or not.

In my 3rd week of the program at STC and I’m loving the. The hands on training and attention to detail from my instructor Frank is spot on! Having a blast and enjoying my time at STC. The knowledge is invaluable!

Maddie Stark

Awesome place to learn a trade. Chris who teaches electrical at the Mississauga Campus is great!

Kyle Willard

The school is fanominal. They teach you everything you need to now about the trade witch gives you a solid foundation moving forward into the electrical field ( or plumbing). Would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into these fields.

Eric Ha

Great school, length of program is 12 weeks 8:30-3:00 full time or you can do part time (6 months). Class sizes are small so you won't be left behind. They provide you with all the books, tools, materials and skills that you will need to get you prepared as an electrician/plummers apprentice.

CrazyCanadianEh

I looked into several pre-apprenticeship electrical programs, and ended up choosing this one because of the short duration and the material it covered; and I am so happy that I did. I learned so much in the short 3 month period, ranging from practical experience, learning proper wiring methods, navigating through the code book and so much more. The instructor Joe was great; good personality, lots of knowledge, and can explain things several ways to make sure everyone gets it. Overall it was a great class, teacher, we learned a lot and had lots of fun along the way. Would recommend to anyone looking to get started in a trade (they do electrical, plumbing, and home renovation).

Rodrigo Jardim

Very good experience learning the Canadian electrical code and also in the lab doing the properly electrical installations. Very recommend!

I graduated in December 2018 from the Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program and I had an amazing experience. Joe and Chris taught me all the practical hands-on techniques I need in the trade. And the book work curriculum was extensive as well. Very well thought out and all very relevant to an apprentice. With Joe and Chris' vast knowledge of the trade, I was able to learn all the basics very quickly and the shop classes provided me with the practice and training I needed to succeed. I'd say the shop classes were definitely my favorite part of the day. We were able to actually perform everything we learned in the morning and the tips and tricks I learned were so helpful. It was assuring to know that the teachers who were teaching me had actually worked all their life in the trade and really knew the do's and don'ts in comparison to teachers from other colleges. I'm happy to say that I'm starting with a local electrical company next week. The Skilled Trades College has given me the push and education I need to pursue a wonderful career as an electrician.

OJ Ali

Very productive classes with hands on instructors that distribute their knowledge equally to all students.

Jaden Rose

This school is so phenomenal! It really gives you everything you need to start in the trades.

Jayden Alves

Great school, condenses all the basics and training in a short time of only 12 weeks and sets you up for a path of success. Teachers spend time making sure you don’t fall behind and work 1:1 with you to make sure you understand. Overall good good fast fast ????

I'm in the electrical class and the instructors at this school actually care about you and want you to succeed. I've always struggled with school and learning and they've helped me a great deal. I've learned alot of great skills and gained valuable knowledge.

Randall Lubin

I am a graduate of Skilled Trades College. I did the electrical apprenticeship program where I received hands on training from Teachers who have worked in the electrical field and who are able to share their knowledge and experience with you. I would recommend any one to go with S.T.C, they truly get you work ready. More importantly you leave with a skill for life that can set you on a path that is healthy and wealthy with a rewarding future. Do it and learn a trade, you will not regret!!!

Tricia N

An excellent training program to prepare for a career in the skilled trades! Lots of hands on training in simulated labs are a fantastic compliment to the instruction from licenced electricians! Our instructors Joe and Chris were highly knowledgeable and able to relate real life experience to us. An overall amazing experience that has left me feeling very confident to start my apprenticeship a leg up on others who have not completed this program.

Ammaar O.D.

The environment is great for learning and they offer a lot of value in the course. I would definitely recommend

I had a bit of plumbing and hands on experience before entering the Pre-apprentice plumbing program at STC. I wasn't sure what to expect or whether or not learning the basics from a pre-apprenticeship program was even necessary with the experience I had. I was wrong! I learnt so much more than I anticipated and had a great time in the process. From hands on learning in the lab to the theoretical side of things in the classroom, I've gained a wealth of knowledge that i'll take with me to the next steps of this journey. I also met some great peeps while I was there and created some memories that'll last forever. I want to thank Joe for being a great instructor and passing on all his handy tips and tricks of the trade. I would definitely recommend STC to anyone looking to get into the plumbing or electrical trade. Just a heads up though, if you're going to register, i suggest you hold off and attend an open house first so you can get yourself a free Milwaukee drill! I wasn't aware of this perk until AFTER i signed up and began getting the open house emails. Bit of a bummer but that's life and life goes on.

All Show No Go

Great place to start a path to becoming an electrician or just to see if it’s a path you could go down. Small class sizes are great along with the good instructors

Jeremy Clark

STC has been a great experience for myself, Phil is a fantastic teacher and made the plumbing course a blast. The information is a lot to handle but there is extra help if needed and Phil is also willing to stay extra hours to help. The lab projects are very helpful for getting experience and working with your hands. Overall I would recommend this program 10/10 lots to learn and better chance to get a job afterwards.

Matthew O'Brien

Great school with very helpful teachers that care and strive for you to succeed in the real world. Highly recommend for anyone looking to become an apprentice for plumbing or electrical.

Ryan Su

Very knowledgeable instructors with a great hands-on curriculum. Provides a solid foundation to enter the trades.

Kenny Duncan

Dont wear new boots into the shop or else Joe will step all over them to "break them in!" ???? With that said, it goes to show it's a fun experience where you get to learn alot. Your taught by experienced teachers who are equally as honest. Great experience for people interested in a skilled trade, and need that extra help getting started!

Steven J McNeil

My time at STC was amazing, I had a great professor Joe Rossi, whom always made time to answer any questions, and gave myself and my other classmate plumbing industry tips to be successful. From the first day you get hands on training in rough-ins, soldering skills, and learn theory. The best part is working in the labs and getting use to working in a loud environment, and working along side the electrician students as we would on a real site. I highly recommend this college and after a week from graduating STC, I got a job offer! :)

Henry Nguyen

Great school. I have learned many things one of which is to never ever ground switches.

Part way through my course and I'm greatly enjoying it. Chris is an amazing instructor, takes time to explain things but leaves out enough to make you think and understand it. He's very professional, kind and great fun in class. The small class sizes allow time got everyone to get the assistance they need, as a team or one on one.

I went to another college but by far this is the best college to learn the skilled trade. All the staff is very friendly. The teachers are also very friendly. I really recommend people coming to this school.

Joshua Ormonde

When I signed up for the 12 week plumbing program I wasn't expecting to learn as much as i did in such a short period of time. I feel like I am ready to join the work force and work towards becoming a master plumber one day! Great learning environment with a well paced program. Would 100% recomend to anyone looking to get into a trade.

Anthoney James

Great course, great instructors

Who would of ever thought there would be a global pandemic in our lifetime? Everything was smooth sailing until last year (2020). The industry that I am in was hit hard with thousands of layoffs. I then said to myself its time to make a move . That's when I decided to get into the trades. I am actually an older student, even older than my teacher. Years ago I finished a 2 year building renovation course in a college. I learned allot, but mostly theory. When I finished I got a job with a contractor as a general laborer doing installing drywall , framing etc. I actually learned that on the jobsites, not the college. Basically I wasn't job ready when I got the job. So when I decided to go back to school I wanted something that wont take me years and something that would prepare me to be job ready once I get the call. I then found out about Skilled Trades College of Canada. They explained the difference between a college and their school. The main difference why I chose this school is because it was mostly hands on. It will give you the confidence and knowledge once you get the job. You will be able to work well with tools and materials . I took the plumbing course here. We had a different project every time we came in. Feels like you are on an actual job site minus the smell. Our teacher Namigs was a great teacher who was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. With me being out of school for over 10 years I really needed some extra help. He was very helpful with all of us and made class fun to come to every weekend. The whole experience here was very rewarding with the skills I gained in pursuing a second career in plumbing. Can't forget about the friends I met during this course. Made it worthwhile coming to class every weekend for 6 long covid months. We did follow covid 19 protocols also. I would recommend this school to anyone wanting to get into the trades and be job ready!! Thanks boyz and Namigs for making this experience an unforgettable one. Will miss the exciting Timmys break!!

Blood Bane

I’m currently in the Mississauga campus about to finish my last week I loved the whole experience I had here and the people I met. The hands on work was great and all the book work was all worth it to gain this information for when I go into apprenticeship. I recommend this collage for anyone trying to learn the trades had an excellent instructor and an amazing three months here.

Jordan Arruda

Great overall learning experience, very informative and great staff. Would recommend the plumbing course.

Jake Katz

Great school, very hands on and very thorough. Would recommend.

Garret Embree

I am taking part in the full time pre-apprenticeship electrical course. I have been learning so much through this course and having a great time in doing so. The staff are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The teachers themselves are people that have worked in their respective trades and have gotten their master lisence. The first half of the day is spent in a classroom and the second half of the day is spent on completing a lab where you are doing actual hands on work in the shop. If you are thinking of getting into the trade, you can not go wrong with attending here. You will gain the knowledge and confidence that you will need on a jobsite.

I've only been part of he course for 2 weeks however my experience has been good. Our teacher is experienced and teaches well and the other instructors are consistently interesting. My only concern is the 'locker room' like talk that permeates the classes.

Jorge Gouveia

Tayten Yachuk

Summed up in six words: advance your skills and gain confidence! The program is 12 weeks, and is a great mix of classroom theory and hands-on labs. The instructors actually have trade experience, are professional, and can relate the material to the students. The course is well-designed, and gave me the confidence I needed to prepare for a career in the electrical trade. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in a career as an Electrician; I'm glad I took it!

David Humphrey

Fantastic learning environment for getting a foot into the trades, teachers and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Tools and materials offered to students really help in understanding concepts both practical and theoretical.

Chad Davis

If you want a major leg up in your knowledge base for a trade, this is the school to go too. Quality teachers, tools and learning/work environment. Couldn't recommend this school enough. Not only will you learn everything you need to know to become an effective apprentice, the school goes out of their way to get you a job. Not even a month after graduating, I got a job at a great electrical company that I’m excited to work for. All thanks to STC.

Mohammad Tabrizi

It’s a great school to learn trades and design and shape your future from there on.

Cody Decastro

Chris was my instructor at the Skilled Trades College of Canada. He was a really great instructor, shared a lot of knowledge from his 16 yrs as an electrician. I got a lot of hands on experience and had a lot of fun in this course. I highly recommend this course especially for those who do not have any background in this field and need to get a lot of knowledge in a short period of time.

Ryan Claudino

I'm currently in the full time plumbing program at the Mississauga campus College of Trades and am very happy with the knowledge that I am gaining. Not only do you have a great instructor that helps you, but the expertise that he has to teach his students is incredible. You get the opportunity to learn so much in a short period of time that allows you to go right out into the field and use everything you have learned. There is a lot of both practical learning and theoretical learning in the course and I would recommend anyone who is looking to get ahead in the trades to definitely come to STC to get a head start over everyone else looking to start an apprenticeship

Nicholas “Secure2Chase” Di Turi

I enrolled in the Electrician's pre-Apprenticeship program because I want to become a licensed electrician. I have been at this school for almost 4 weeks now and I can honestly say it's going very quickly. I was made to feel welcome when I came for an open house tour, when I registered, and when I showed up on the first day. In the first week, the course started with Safety before we did anything. Now we're learning the Canadian Electrical Code, how to read technical drawings, and of course learning how to construct working circuits using electrician's tools and techniques according to the Electrical Code. Each day starts out with a review of what we've done, followed by theory and a description of the lab we will be working on for that day. In the afternoon, we go to the lab and string wire, put up boxes, connect devices and test out our circuits. There is often a bit (not too much) homework. Our instructor is knowledgeable and experienced, has a sense of humour, and genuinely tries to help everyone in our class, whether they're starting from scratch or already bringing skills with them. I am really enjoying my experience at the College and I would recommend it to others.

Ian Michalicka

Best decision coming to this school. I learned a lot in the short 12 weeks and feel confident and job ready to go on a job site and work. Dominique Stefaniak

A great program if your looking to get into becoming an electrician. The course has provided me with the knowledge and skills to feel confident in becoming an apprentice in the work field. I started the course not knowing anything about electrical work at all. The teachers at the school are very knowledgeable and will show you the proper way to do things as well as some industry tricks that will help you later on. Over the 3 month period of the course I have learned a lot and would recommend it to everyone that is thinking about taking attending the school.

William Barnett

I just graduated from the Electricial Pre-apprentice program. The course is very well thought out. Plenty of hands on experience that other places done provide. Most importantly, the instructors are terrific. Skilled trades are often overlooked and very under rated. A good field with many possibilities after graduation.

Sabesan Sundaralingam

Were you ever like me in life? Lost? Not sure if your current education and skills will ever pay fruition like you expected? I was told by many of my peers that the most money to be made and a wise career decision that will pay off very much in the long term would be in the trades. While I was aimlessly driving around Mississauga I stumbled upon this small, fantastic college; a real diamond in the dirt. I first walked in and was greeted enthusiastically by a cool looking fellow named Tony. Tony explained to me how within a quick 3 months I can be career ready and be on my way to be an Apprentice Electrician! I finally found what I was looking for after speaking with Tony. Every morning when you show up to class your temperature is taken and given hand sanitizer right away; this way we ensure and assure ourselves that nobody steps in with Covid-19. My instructor's name is Chris. Mr. Chris Dias is a multi-decade experienced Master Electrician who has that rarely found ability to seamlessly pass on his knowledge of the trade to rookies with no experience at all ( like myself). Under his tutelage (in a very short 3 months) I am now capable of installing lights, all types of switches and install circuit breakers. As a matter of fact I can now do the wiring without having no 2nd thought about it. The college also provides us with all the necessary tools that we get to keep(top quality made by: Klein Tools) and everyday we spend a couple of hours studying things like the code book and the rest of the day we are in our workshop actually doing and learning the trade. The college also ensures that we get out CPR license as well as working at heights license. Hence, for anyone out there who wants to transform themselves into a viable career in the trades ( this college covers, electrical, plumbing and home renovation (home renovation is only covered at the vaughan campus) THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO DO IT!

Amazing school tons of information provided every on is helpful teachers are great

Matt Potts

I am about to graduate from Skilled Trades College's Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship program. The instructors at STC have provided me with the knowledge to understand how and why our electrical systems work and the hands on skills to be able to apply that knowledge in the workplace.

payton ramirez

I am now entering the tenth week of the pre-apprenticeship program and it's going great. We do a good balance of classroom theory and practical shop work. Our instructor has helped me a lot with clarifying the course material and helping me stay on task. We have already covered so much information that I now feel I am in a much better position to start my apprenticeship. I would definitely say the course is worthwhile if you are serious about getting into the plumbing industry.

Adam Bell

Amazing school. Great environment. I’ve learned so much here at the skilled trades college. Shoutout to Chris Dias for being a fantastic electrical instructor.

Alex Panagiopoulos

I enrolled into the plumbing pre-apprentice program with little to no knowledge of the trade and more importantly, the use of tools. Now that I am graduating, I feel more confident in myself in both the theory and the use of tools for plumbing. Joe Rossi provided valuable insight as to how the real world job site and expectations of the field are going to be.

Highly recommend this school to anyone looking to get into the trades! Starting as a beginner or with experience they get you to a level equal to a 2 year apprentice. Instructors Chris and John in the electritian course have done an excellent job.

Jonathan Bugeja

Great experience, learned a lot, great staff. Condensed coarse for people who can't do years of school this was a great 3 month pre apprentice coarse.

Richard C

I was a little unsure of the quality of the school in the beginning, thinking there was too much in class compared to pratical. But those fears were dashed when three days in we are in the labs getting hands on experience. 4 weeks in and i am significantly more confidient in my career choice and skills i am accruing. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to start a career in the trades.

Dave Moffett

Great school. Length of program is short and sweet (12 weeks). Class size is nice and small, you won't be left behind. About a 50/50 split between in class and hands on work. Top notch staff @ Mississauga campus. I'd recommend this school for sure.

Timothy Hennebry

Great place to start if you are new to trade. Devided well between in class and lab work. The teachers are very helpful and willing to put in the extra work to make sure you understand what you are doing. Short term course (12 weeks) compared to other school. I highly recomend to any one looking to get into the trade to start here.

Christian Wylde

Just finished the plumbing course taught by Phil Cooper. Can confirm that the course is a worthy investment as I've learned more than I expected in just 3 months. Phil is a great teacher and will prepare you with the knowledge and skills necessary to head into your plumbing apprenticeship with confidence.

Just about finished the course and all I can say is great things. I recommend it & Phil was a great teacher!

The instructors provide you with all the necessary information needed to be successful in the field and make sure you completely understand the unit before moving on to the next. For the first time in my life I am excited to come to school and further expand my knowledge on the electrical trade.

dan ross

It was a great place to learn alot in the trades.

Chirag Trivedi

Aiden Cunliffe

As a plumbing student currently enrolled in classes I can highly recommend it. Its been my 4th week and I am learning tons. Class atmosphere is great, everyone is on the same page and looking towards a brighter future. Overall going to the Skilled Trades College of Canada (Mississauga) is the best decision Ive ever made.

Pavel Neoutchev

The program covers all bases of plumbing in class room and lab projects really allow you to get hands on so you can grasp what is being taught in the classroom.

Teng Kheng Khoo

It a great school to learn and get knowledge in plumbing trade.

Luiz Fernandes

Very knowledgeable teachers, great lab set up clean and safe environment . Staff is ensuring that everyone is following COVID guidelines ! Electrical class rocks!!!

Sanj Satgunarajah

Excellent program. Prepared me to enter the workforce with a strong understanding of the basics and fundamentals so I can start off strong. Best part is all the knowledge and experience that is passed on from former electricians. My instructor, Chris Dias, had a ton of insight about the different pathways and licences. Highly recommend the course.

Arun Sookdeo

Hello my name is arun Sookdeo and quick story about me I was out of school doing absolutely nothing and because of the grace of Glenn from STC I was able to take this course under my circumstances of which they were super lenient with me and before I even graduated I was employed in the trade where I still am right now. To any one that is scepticle I HIGHLY recommend the trades and to get out there and see what's for you, I love stc thank you for the opportunity!!!

Dennis Lopez

I’ve been taking this course for about 2 weeks now and I can say the teachers here are great. They’re good with explaining what they’re teaching, they’ll stay after class to help with you with any questions you have. I feel like I’ve learned more here in the two weeks then I have in other trades colleges

Tyler Graham

I have really enjoyed the electrical course, it has taught me plenty of significant skills to carry out into the field. Chris and Steph are very knowledgable and posses a great amount of experience in the field. I came into this course with little to no understanding, now I am leaving with confidence in my work and a boatload of learning.

Zachi Jibril

The school's great, with a laid back atmosphere. No matter your learning style, you're guaranteed to learn how it suits you; you get lectures, demonstrations, pictures, and hands on practice.

Dont believe all the fake reviews you see on here.. They almost all have 1review on there account and are all FAKE. Please like this review to shine some light on this course. Sure it gets you started in the trade and getting a feel for it, But you will be $9000 in the hole. There is nothing here that you cant learn from a actual apprenticeship. Cant find a apprenticeship? then work as a laborer for a little bit, you will learn a lot. The hours I took with this course (600hours) did not count towards my apprenticeship which they lied to me about because they are a "private sector". No they are not affiliated with the union and no will they help you get a job. They post kijiji and indeed ads on a bulletin board. I posted a fake kijiji ad hiring people and I found it on the board a month later on the road. I did like the course.. just not for the money $9000 is a lot of money and they are taking advantage of saying all the old electricians are retiring and that they are in high demand.. well its pretty flooded now. Try to join local 353 union or even Hamilton union. It is very flooded. Example would be 353 only having intakes once a year if your lucky and only 1 in 8 get accepted. Not to mention you need math, physics, and english pre reqs with apptitude test, $45 fee, and a 1800 pre apprenticeship ( yes another apprenticeship after you pay these guys $9000 for there pre apprenticeship) Keep in mind for 2019 apprenticeship ratios have changed from 3:1 all the way to 1:1 for journeymen to apprentice. However I was told the union highly dislikes this and they are still running with the 3:1 ratio. Call them or have a meeting if you like. Also the Ontario College of Trades is being changed sometime early 2019, not sure what will happen yet. The course base is 95% residential wiring. Why teach residential wiring in the GTA when you will be 95% of the time in a commercial set up? Where in the GTA is there room to build houses anymore? Be prepared to travel outside the GTA to have your 16 dollar an hour apprenticeship for residential. Not to mention you will probably have odd hours with no benefits and need your own vehicle. In 1 year the only residential I did in Toronto and Mississauga was service troubleshooting, and ONE reno. Residential is not where the money is. Even if you do residential in GTA, it will not be like in the course. You dont have open walls where you can freely drill and staple your perfectly straight romex wires. You will most likely be doing a re and re or fishing wire behind drywall and watching for live wires and pipes and dodging insulation with fire blocks and eating attic insulation. I also recommend learning a bit about aluminum wiring and knob and tube, because this course did not cover it. Those are danger if you havent seen them before. I hope this gives some insight as to what being a apprentice actually takes. It is not as easy as this course makes it seem. Yes you are just connecting wires and running lines but it is a dirty job. And a lot of people are CHEAP. All the big jobs are owned by union. So for your $9000 you get (Drum ROLLLL): a $300 klein tool set which they claim is $750, Some safety certificates such as CPR, limited knowledge on how to actually wire stuff, and a DIPLOMA instead of a certificate. WOW that will get me a job for sure. LOOK SIR I have a $9000 DIPLOMA!!!!!! but you still have to show me how to do 95% of the stuff. All jokes aside I liked this course and everyone in it but it is not worth $9000. please dont finance this course if you are actually considering it. Also many people in my class did not show up a lot and had failing grades, but to my surprise when I asked them after if they passed, they all did. You are basically buying that diploma.

Mahasvin Pandya

I have came across many institutes but I found STC is much more reliable in matter of what is important in Trade Market - Ontario. George (an Electrical instuctor) is well experienced and knowledgable instructor. I have got a lots of hands on experience with actual practical work with understanding of electrical concepts / tools and devices & canadian electrical codes.

g Atin

great school

Mathew Veri

Wish the course was longer ! STC landed me a job before i even graduated ! It's hard to get your foot in the door sometimes, but going with the STC gives you the edge over someone who just got outta highschool. Best decision i've ever made !

Dre Lynch

Great Learning Experience. Quality place to get fast track efficient, job translatable skill sets for your given trade. I took the electrical pre apprenticeship and landed job offers before I even finished my course.

zac treen

I enrolled in the plumbing program at the start of April and can’t believe how much I have learned over a three month period. The course was very informative and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to pursue the plumbing trade. Joe the instructor at the Mississauga campus was amazing with the hands on as well as the book work.

Tai Pham

All on hand practice. Phil is very good willing to explain all your questions and help you to understand the code on the easy way. Plumbing course

David Pardy

Worth the investment. Gets you job ready. In 3 months. Instructors know the trades. Can compete with other colleges. Highly recommend considering this college for post secondary education.

a b

This school is a waste of time and waste of money, it is all a scam to take all your money and teach you next to nothing. Dont not enroll into this program skip it and go straight to the union or start a apprenticeship. Teachers are not masters more like average. The hands on work that you do get to do is so basic like a high school shop class. Would give zero stars if I could.

Rashid Nacro

I was enrolled in the part time program and it was worth every dollar. It was a great experience with an even better teacher. There is enough theory and hands on work to really give you an understanding of these trades are really like. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a trade school to enroll in.

Stipe Pavic

Phil is an awesome teacher! Very polite and patient. This course was amazing and recommend anyone with zero knowledge of plumbing to come take it.

Eldon Dennis

Great school I like it there good place too better your self

Jennifer Wyatt

Great school!! Lots of hands on experience.

Ryan Hysenaj

Having a great time and learning everything in the plumbing course at the Mississauga campus. Upon completion of this program myself and my classmates will be more than ready to succeed in the trades. Joe Rossi the plumbing teacher is a 12/10 And an all around beauty. #pipeitup #JoeRossiorgohome #solder #nogalvanicactionhere

Nicholas Wehrle

Great school with great people, instructors are very knowledgeable and have no problems answering any and all question. Definitely recommend this school to people who are interested in trades

Matt Lymberopoulos

I am currently enrolled in the electrical program at STC. My learning expierience here is amazing. You learn a lot and it gets you ready for the workforce right away. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into the trade industry.

Romulus Alpha

Great course. Moves fast but the labs and the theory are on point

Tyler Mcmillin

Just completed the Electrical Pre-apprenticeship, it was a very valuable experience and i’m very glad I came. The tools that are given to you are very high quality and the Electrical instructor in Barrie was full of knowledge. He always had an answer to your question and was a very kind guy. The actual work experience you get here with the lab work is amazing as well.

Jonathan Adamo

Great experience. Learned a lot in such a short period of time. Great staff and instructors

Anthony Paparo

Very good school learned alot this past three months very good teachers and facilities

Macen Rockwell

This is just my own thoughts about attending stc. They do have experienced electricians that know how to teach ; they help you so much on the code book and knowing how to wire panels switches etc, BUT you give you cheap tools they dont even give you a drill ; the hard hat they give is so basic and all the tools probably not worth over $300. This school says they help you find a job but all they do is take your resume and if any contractor asks they hand you resume over. Out of my class of 12 only 1 got a job and thats only because his brother is already an electrician. The top person in my class that got a 95 overall average didnt even get a job. Its VERY HARD to get a job as an electrical apprentice for a first year. Everyone wants people who are already registered. This diploma they give you looks good but DOES NOT guarantee you a job. Trying to get into the union? You need math and physics high school credits and even then the union does an intake every year and only a few amount get in. You do not want to be $9000 in a hole. ALSO IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOUR MARK IS ; the passing grade is a 60% youre buying the diploma cause the teacher told me the owner isn't in the business of failing people. I would honestly just start as a labourer and work your way up in the construction business if you wanna be an electrician. Its hard to find a job out there and you will need a car. Can't have this type of job without one. At the end of the course they ask all students to give a good review just so we could get a school shirt or a hat. Why not both? We only have the option of one but we payed $9000 for this course? Unbelievable. You cant believe all the good reviews you see , but I guess youll have to find out yourself if you actually attend this school. Great teachers , fun classmates but at the end of the day , no job.

Eryk M

UPDATE For anyone looking to attend this school: If you have decided to sign-up, please try to do so at an open house as this is the only way you will receive a tool set. I signed-up with the Dean a few days before an open house (which I found out after the fact) and despite our conversation, I was not informed of this fact. It wasn't until I spoke to him shortly after finding out this fact that I asked if I could still receive one. He said he would look into it and get back to me. It wasn't until near the end of my classes where I asked him again (as he wasn't always in the building when I was there) and it seemed like he forgot about it as I had to remind him of our previous talk. As such, due to not being informed that this option was available, and the fact that the Dean wasn't able to follow-up with me regarding this issue, I would recommend to anyone interested in signing-up to do so on an open house and to be wary - keep notes/continually follow-up with the school for any questions/concerns made. Also, make sure that if you do sign-up and begin classes that you check for any missing tools in your provided tool bag (screwdrivers, pliers, and such). I didn't receive my wire stripping knife and it took approximately 16 weeks for it to get sorted out. My understanding for this is because the Dean kept saying the school doesn't replace lost tools despite my teacher having a document, that I signed, stating that I was missing my knife at the time of receiving the tool bag. This held me back somewhat as I was not able to strip and cut as cleanly/effectively as my classmates. With regards to the classes: Excellent classes and George (electrical teacher) is phenomenal. The hands-on aspect certainly puts the students in a great place coming out of here, and George's anecdotes help in the learning of theory and installation tricks. I would definitely recommend this teacher and his class to anyone who wants to get into the electrical trade.

Rambo Black

One of the best decisions i have ever made in my life. Always wanted to get into the electrical field and this school gave me the opportunity to do so. The staff is experienced electricians who know their stuff. The in class work also helps a ton and you get to know how to wire everything from residential and commercial and gets you job ready in the field. If you really want to be an electrician and have the drive to do so I would highly recommend this school. I wish we could have got a few more tools but other than that its 10/10.

dan a

Went into this program toward the end of November 2017 at the Mississauga location with no knowledge what so ever about the plumbing trade. In the 12 weeks you get a really good hands on experience using alot of different tools and working with a lot of different products. The staff members are also very knowledgeable within they're respected field and a joy to be around every day. After the 12 weeks I definitely feel confident applying the skills I've learned and applying them into this trade. Strongly recommend this school for anyone looking for a change and trying to get into the trade of plumbing or electrical.

Ben Ponder

If you want to be an electrician, you would be hard pressed to find a better instructor and mentor than Joe Preziosa, teaching out of the Mississauga campus.

Ishdeep Dhanju

Just completed the electrical pre-apprentice course. Gained a great amount of knowledge and learned everything I need to know to get on a job site and start working right away. Instructors were great. Great school for anyone trying to get into the electrical or plumbing trade.

Charles Wilson

Great fast paced programs that will give you the tools for success for your future in the trades.

Junior Moreu

I had a really nice experience at Skilled trades college, amazing time , and i had the best professor ever Mr Stefano de bartolo, i really recommend this college to you all .....

Gerard Roy

I’m currently enrolled at the Skilled Trades College of Canada in Mississauga for the plumber pre apprentice program. My instructor Joe Rossi has been in the field of plumbing for many years and is a very knowledgeable of the trade, helping us with proper techniques and preparing us for our career ahead. The program include both theory and hands-on installations and processes. Providing a strategic edge over other candidates who are applying for the same opportunity.

Tori Paquette

I've always been the type to find my mind wondering in college lectures. I was also one to fall behind in a college class because I would always put my job first. If anyone knows me personally they would agree that I could realistically take on any type of career out there and be successful if I put my mind to it. I'm a hard worker and I always have passion for the job that I do. But my problem in college was putting my mind to it... Ive hopped around program to program with only partial interest for 4 years and I only have a 1yr health sciences certificate to show for. So after 4 years of struggling through college I gave it up and soon after that I realized I don't want to be a bartender for the rest of my life. Knowing how much of mine and my parents money I've wasted I chose very carefully this time. I called around and spoke to many different program coordinators and college directors... And then I spoke to Frank; the Dean of Skilled Trades College of Canada... He was able to light some sort of fire in me through the phone!! I didn't think twice about another college after that. I was invited in to tour the campus and soon after was enrolled in the plumbing program. For the first time in my life I am fully present and excelling in classes. I am very excited for the career path I am currently strutting down thanks to STC!! My mind is finally soaking up new terms and definitions! I'm finally able to proudly say I love college thanks to my teacher Joe. If you're a hands on person and have a passion for the trades this college is definitely for you!!

Leo Trani

I'm currently half way through the Plumbing course being offered at the Mississauga location and everything is going really good. This trade is brand new to me and I'm learning something new everyday that will teach me the necessary tools to make this a successful career. My teacher Joe is great at helping me learn this trade and all the students are very helpful when ever I have a question.

Russell Lambert

Like me I wanted to get into the Electrical Trades as soon as possible so I google around to see how I can get that done only to see Skilled Trades College popped up. I looked into this program more after consulting with a few of my buddies already in this industry by the way all of them said I should give it a go. The Instructor of the course is very knowledgeable and have 20 plus years experience. I am exciting to get my apprenticeship going!

Gregory N

This is a great place to start your career in the skilled trades. Staff is friendly, experienced and full of knowledge. The classes small (10-20 students) so instructors are always willing to help.

Marcus Campbell

I have a great experience at skilled trades college.. The staff was friendly and the school had a great facility.. I attended the plumbing course and would would recommend this school to anyone willing to pursue plumbing.

Alex Pinkerton

I have been attending the electrical pre-apprenticeship course at the Mississauga campus of STC for a couple of weeks and so far so good. The class (so far anyways...) is a good mixture of class room learning and time spent in the work shop refining on our practical skills. The instructor (Joe) is quite knowledgeable and has plenty of real world examples to help drive home the theories learned in class. I would recommend checking out this school if you are looking to get into the trades and refine your practical knowledge.

Matt Westfall

I took Pre-apprenticeship Electrical course. The program teaches skills that you will learn the first 2 years on the job!

Moh Fodil

I am in my Pre-Apprentice electrical program, so far it’s interesting and something I am looking forward to coming to learn each day. In my 4th week of the electrical Pre-Apprenticeship program, it’s absolutely amazing, learning the theory in the class is very informative and working in the shop to gain an experience that will last for a lifetime in skill training. The instructor Chris is extremely knowledgeable, am really impressed of Skilled Trades College of Canada at Mississauga.

Asmr Bar

Highly recommend this program! This course was great for teaching me the basics and preparing me for the field. I always felt respected and welcome despite being a female in a male dominated industry. 5/5!!

Keegan Mccleary

This course has really helped me with understanding the trades I highly recommend this course it is well worth it

aidan turner

I'm just about to finish the plumbing program and I've had a great time! I feel like i am walking away with a lot of practical knowledge to get me started on the job site.

I’m about to finish my pre-apprenticeship program with instructor Joe Rossi, for plumbing at the Mississauga location. The schooling has be absolutely awesome. I entered plumbing with zero knowledge of the trade. The course has exceeded my expectations, which were already high. You'll learn everything to get you prepared for your career. You get theory in the morning and practical work in the lab in the afternoon. With theory, youll learn basic knowledge, along with building codes and blueprints. In the labs you'll learn to work in different scenarios and a variety of tools and pipes. Overall in the 3 months I've attended the course has gotten me prepared ready for my future career.

Aurey Cox

I finished my course here in early September and started working in early October. I can't speak for the other instructors here but I would recommend the course and I would add to try to be in Georges class if taking the weekend course. He is a great teacher, super knowledgeable and able to communicate things in an easy to digest way that makes it easier to understand. Some of the theory can be a little boring but George made it interesting and even funny. I am even still able to contact George to ask questions about the job and how to navigate my career today since leaving the class, which has been invaluable (he even encouraged me to ask for slightly more money than I was originally offered, which I normally wouldn't have done, and it worked!) 10/10 would recommend, especially in Georges class!

rayan mike

R.M I did my program, I am not satisfied, because was more theory morning from 8:30am to 12:00 than practical, practical only after lunch it is only one hour and half, and every week 2 tests sometimes 3 tests in the week.

Michael Beam

I’m currently a part time student in the plumbing pre apprenticeship. It’s a really great experience with a very knowledgeable and understanding instructor.

Thomas Brasca

Im currently enrolled in the electrician pre-apprentice problem and just started a little over two weeks ago. From the first day we got to experience hands on training and thats what I love about this place. They have a perfect combination of class time to workshop time where you get to experience the scenarios at hand and even energize them. The staff is amazing and friendly as well and I look forward to completing the course.

Jesse Jon

if you go in and sign the contract in the registration package just know that it will cost you 400 dollars which is non refundable. If you are unsure about what to take don’t call, because Frank is a used car salesman and if you get lured in to this location DO NOT sign anything until you are 100% certain what you want to take. It cost me 400 bucks.

David Da-Silva

school was great but phil is a greater teacher.

Eliseo Lallinaj

Went on a field trip with my secondary school to skilled trades college and worked on electrical & plumbing with the instructors and from that day i knew I wanted to be apart of this college, and now i am currently in the electrical program and i enjoy it the information given in this course is very helpful for electrical & plumbing apprentice.

James Metcalfe

I am currently a student in the plumbing program, and I would recommend this college to anyone looking to start work in a skilled trade, a large portion of our learning is hands on, giving students a professional edge when searching for future apprenticeship

Salh Ibrahim

It excellent I got a lot of experience it's helpful program

One of the Best training school

Gary Roia

Taking the Electrical Course at Skilled Trades College is great !! The course is fun filled and my instructor Stefano makes it 10x better. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone and having him as an instructor will definitely be a plus he’s very helpful and always willing to listen to his students and assist them in any way possible to help them understand the course better and on top of that he’s funny! Time and money well spent , sad that it’s only 3 months long but I’m happy to have started my electrical journey with them !

Keith M

As a student enrolled in the electrician pre-apprenticeship course I can positively say that this program has exceeded my expectations. The hands on approach is an invaluable asset and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and can answer any questions thrown their way. I was able to secure an apprenticeship the following Monday after graduating. Frank, Joe, and Alfie are just awesome to work with. Thanks guys.

John Leon

I am only a few weeks into the pre apprentice plumbing course at the Mississauga location and I have learned so much already. I feel like this is best decision I have made in my whole. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to gain valuable knowledge and skills to better their own future and make a difference in the world around them.

Singh vs food

Excellent trade school as you gain hands on experience in the labs. The staff are very helpful and my teacher Chris was really supportive in the teaching. You lea everything from residential to commercial wireing and conextion includeing pipeing. Had an awesome class colleague and an amazing experience. Highly recommended especially Chris as teacher.

Dubicki A

Currently enrolled in the plumbing classes and I can say that I've learned alot and i would recommend anyone who doesn't know to much about the trades industry to check out this school. This school has an even balance of theory and in shop work time. Overall enjoying my time

Matt Aguirre

great collage to attend with a nice work environment of teachers and students and you gain enough work experience so your job ready

Nishantha Ranasinghe

Great trades school. Gained lots of knowledge and confidence to enter the industry. Highly recommended. Stefano and Chris are knowledgeable teachers, and goes above and beyond with answering questions and making sure students understand the material.

Emily Richardson

The STC is a fantastic college. I just finished the Pre- Apprentice in Elecrtical and the amount of information and hands on experince that I have gained in the last 3 months has been invaluable. The teachers at the STC are patient and incredibly knowledgeable, they have made my experince at the college an exciting one and have helped me transition into my career as an electrician.

michael figliomeni

I just completed the full time plumbing pre-apprenticeship program and overall it was a great experience. I went into this course completely new to plumbing and after 3 months I have the confidence in my knowledge and skills to pursue an apprenticeship without any doubt of my abilities. The class had a fun learning environment and our instructor Joe was very knowledgeable and offered many tips and tricks we wouldn't be able to learn through a book. I'd greatly recommend this course to anyone thinking of entering the plumbing trade.

stephen Perchanok

The course that I completed, which was electrical, was thorough and full of material and practical opportunities to learn about the trade and develop my skills. I have learned in 3 months more than I thought was possible, starting with no or very few electrical skills and ending with experience in a huge variety of scenarios that I can come across in the electrical field.

Fernando Marulanda

So upon coming into this course I had basic Plumbing experience so did not know what to expect from a pre-apprentice plumbing course but I'm glad I decided to take this on I learned a lot that I did not know before everything we learned in the classroom we then went into the lab, are instructed Joe was great he explained everything properly he was very knowledgeable.

Larkland Monroe

This is an absolutely amazing trade school. Really hands on. I learned a lot and recommend it to anyone how is trying to start a new chapter in there life. STEFANO is the man.

Daryl Dixon

I started the program about 2 weeks ago, and am very pleased with the way the course is running. Teacher is very knowledgeable and knows how to teach, Lots of hands on work, and a good schedule setup. Definitely worth looking into if you are thinking of becoming a plumber, electrician, or carpenter.

Boris Marinov

I feel that this course has provided me with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the trades, the teacher was well versed in the trade and I had no issues learning the information from him. Would recommend this course if starting an apprenticeship in the plumbing or electrical trades.

DLS Mercer

Graduated the electrical pre-apprenticeship program with instructor joe and had an amazing experience with the school with the help of glenn. Tons of hands on experience taught by a highly knowledgable teacher with decades of experience, who's very down to earth with what really goes on in the real world of the trades and shares his experiences with you to help guide you. The amount of hands on experience and knowledge I've learned in my 3 months has given me the knowledge of a 2nd / 3rd year apprenticeship level. This course has given me the leg up on the competition and has given me a foot in the door which is huge. Most of the people in my class have gotten interviews and /or landed a job with the help of the school. If you take your experience seriously and pay attention you will go places and it will show on your resume and the job site. Would highly recommend to anyone who's looking to enter the electrical trade

Sam Hajjar

A great place to learn the skills necessary for success.

Nuvin Appaya

Nearly at the end of the journey at STC. I must say that i learnt a lot and labs were very instructive. Phil was great and taught us well. I highly recommend the college to anyone who wants to have a career in the trade. Thanks.

Jonathan Maravilla

It's not worth it. These reviews seem too good to be true, right? What about what is really offered (or not offered) at the Skilled Trades College (STC). All reviews are from “happy students who’ve learned so much and gained experience to start a new career”. All the same clichés. There’s a lot you need to be aware of if you’re interested in this pre-apprenticeship course. I’m only posting this to inform you of just a few things because I recently hired someone whom we’ll call “John” who recently completed the electrical program at the STC and he and his father were disappointed considering the cost of this STC course. He wanted my perspective on it. I am a master electrician and a former Ontario college instructor at 2 different colleges who has taught apprentices and students in 1 and 2 year electrical programs. I also have my own company for 20+ years and have had many students from both private programs (like this one) and real college programs come to me for work. There is a big difference. The STC has NO affiliation with the Ontario College of Trades or the IBEW. They inform their students they will be credited the hours for time spent in the program - not true. They only teach the basics of residential wiring and basic types of conduit bends. He told me they said, “We teach the same thing here in 12 weeks that a real college teaches in 8 mos. (1 year) program”. Also not true. In a real Ontario college 1 year program you learn everything: residential, commercial, AC/DC motors and motor controls, solar and renewable energy, batteries, instrumentation, electronics, and more - all with labs and lots of theory. The STC 3-month course is NOT AT ALL the same. Also, at a real college you can go on to a 2nd year which also teaches industrial, 3-phase theory and equipment, PLC, fire alarms, and more, all with hands-on labs. The residential sector is only a small percent of the electrical trade. Places like the STC think that, for their hefty tuition fee, residential training is all that’s needed in the workforce. Their tuition is outrageous for basic residential training with no hours toward your apprenticeship whereas, for close to the same cost for tuition at an Ontario college, you get all the training and classes which DO count directly toward your apprenticeship. So, is 3 months the only deciding factor? I do approximately 80% commercial work. Most non–residential employers are more concerned with proper training and information given. John knew almost nothing in commercial work or in motor controls, which my company, and many others, does a lot. In my professional opinion, a real Ontario college program would benefit you or simply try to get hired and learn on the job. The Ontario college option is great because it actually counts toward your apprenticeship and you learn so much more in all sectors of the industry. Another issue is the material they use to teach at the STC. They use an old version of the Code book. Sometimes 2 versions older than the current one - the owner gets it at a cheap price since they’re outdated. John was told “It still gives you practice on how to read a code book”. Wrong information is learned. Also they photocopy only a few chapters of the residential textbook and put them in a binder. How is that justified with the tuition fee? Apparently they're told there's help finding a job at the end...why? To lure you in. Of course there's no job placement. There's other issues I can still go on about. The things taught at the STC can be taught on the job in a couple of weeks. It’s just not worth it for basic residential training. I hired John because he is a neighbour’s son, not because of the STC. Ontario colleges actually invest in students so invest in your career properly. Take a real Ontario college course or simply try hard to get hired and learn on the job. These quick-fix colleges are simply not worth it (to the students anyway). There are no short-cuts to real training. Before signing anything, ask lots of questions if you’re still considering this “college”. Thanks and good luck!

Fantastic school to go to. Gained lots of knowledge and learned lots of great tricks and tips. The teachers are great and are highly skilled and give loads of information when it comes to trades. I took the electrical pre apprenticeship program and have loved every day. Highly recommended.

It's amazing how much training and know-how STC packs into 12 weeks. John is a fantastic instructor who takes the time to work with you and to help you improve. There is much to be said about this privately run college and the difference in quality of education that you receive here verses publicly financed institutions. You will get more out of 12 weeks here than with four years towards a liberal arts diploma, plus the crippling debt that follows. Get a headstart on your training that will excel you above the rest by coming to Skilled Trades College.

Dylan Greer

Being a student at STC has opened up a wide array of career paths. The teaching here at STC is amazing. 3 weeks in and I have been emersed in my trade. I would highly recommend this school for anyone looking to get into trades.

Isaac White

The class sizes are perfect for individual hands on step by step progression by far better then any crowded university or college lecture. Very happy to be learning here. 5☆

I’m a current student of the school enrolled in the plumbing program it is an amazing away to get hands on experience and a great way to meet new people and really love the trade of plumbing. Our teacher joe Rossi is great and shows me new tricks everyday.

This course should be considered by anyone looking to get into the trades. I enrolled in the construction and maintenance electrical pre- apprenticeship program looking to change my career. I know with the skills I have acquired here at STC, I will be able to start my career confidently,Safely, and to the best of my ability! Thanks to my teacher Chris Dias, for everything thing you’ve taught me!

Nicholas bro

When I joined the program I did not know anything about electrical work. Now, after three months, I feel comfortable with the code, wiring, and the theory taught in the program. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to have a successful career.

Jeffrey Azada

I have no regrets taking the plumbing pre apprentice program. Learning how to navigate through the OBC plumbing code book especially part 7, understand it and apply in workshop was really fun. And yes! I admit I made mistakes but with the proper help and guidance from the great Instructor, (Namigs Alijevs) you can't really go wrong. At the end, it paid off and was all worth it. Thank you STC and thank you Namigs.

Great school ????????

I'm currently an electrical student at the school. I made the decision to come to this school, after looking at other programs offered at other schools and I have to say it was the best decision I made to come to this school over them. The staff here has been amazing. Joe has been my teacher for the last couple of months, and he has been one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable and is always willing to help and explain things that you don't understand. It is a very safe environment to learn in. Overall this is a great school to come to.

Osas “Oasis”

Great staff that helped a novice like my self become familiar with the different aspects of my future job & program

Just completed my fourth week of the Electrical Program and I am very pleased with how much material we are covering and the technical experience we are gaining from projects in the shop. I am eager to complete the program and take my new skills to the work force!

I'm just finishing up trade school and I have to say that I've enjoyed every second of it. Excellent school all around with great teachers to help us along the way. I would definitely recommend this school.

Paolo Macri

An amazing environment that fosters learning in theory and practical experience. Currently attending for plumbing and i have had nothing but enjoyment with my experience. My instructor Frank Pera is knowledgeable and really wants everyone in my class to succeed. If you want to get into the trades, this is a great stepping stone so you are career ready the first day on the job site.

Anthony L

In my 3rd week of the Plumbing Pre Apprenticeship Program, and it’s absolutely amazing. Working in the shop is so much fun and the theory in the classroom is very informative. Would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in the trades.

Dmytro Tkachenko

I studied Plumbing at Skilled Trades College of Canada - Mississauga. My instructor was Mr. Namigs Alijevs and while he was on vacation we were taught by another plumbing instructor Mr. Phil Cooper. I would like to say that it was my best educational experience in Canada and apart from STC I studied at three other colleges. Mr. Namigs Alijevs has a profound knowledge not only in plumbing but in other related construction trades. I cannot remember a single case when he could not answer a question of top of his head. Mr. Phil Cooper is a talented lecturer and his lectures about venting were great and easy to understand. The attitude was professional and friendly. I am sincerely thankful to Mr. Namigs Alijevs and Mr. Phil Cooper for the great time and interesting classes. I will definitely advise Skilled Trades College of Canada - Mississauga ti my friends.

Jonas Bumanglag

I’ve learned a lot of things within a short period of time. The classes are more hands on than in class which makes everything easier to learn. I recommend going here if you’re looking to start a pre apprenticeship course in plumbing or electrical.

Murray Humphrys

Great course! Excellent instructors! Teaches you everything you need to know in order to succeed in this field, but like everything, its all about what you put into it. If you are not serious, then go elsewhere. If you want to work and do things the right way, then this is the course for you.

Nelson Maciel

Completed the plumbing pre-apprenticeship program with instructor Phil Cooper. Best coarse and program. Phil is a great teacher and learned a lot from him. Worth every penny.

Adam Connor

Excellent teachers who care about their students. Small class sizes means more one on one time and a better learning environment. Highly recommend for anyone looking to break into the electrical or plumbing trades.

cristina guillermo

Great school. Great Instructors. Great classmates. Great CME trade course. The school provides knowledge and practical experience for a variety of people who are interested in the trades, whether you are willing to expand your knowledge or learn about the field for the first time. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and experienced in their field and the teaching methods are never boring. There is always something to do. I would highly recommend Skilled Trade College of Canada because I enjoyed the course and I learned quite a bit in 12 weeks.

I am currently enrolled in the pre-apprentice electrical program at the Mississauga campus and it is absolutely amazing. Skilled trades college is a great learning experience for everyone! I have only been in class for 3 weeks now and I have learned lots already and am very eager to learn more and more. Everyday is a new thing to learn and the staff does not stopping giving u the best support they possibly can when you’re having trouble understanding or just not getting it. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s interested in electrical or plumbing, can’t get better than this half day of in class then the other half in a lab hands on with all the things u learned or talked about.

Trung Nguyen

Really great school for electrical pre apprentice program. You learn the fundamental basic of electrical trade that employer/contractor want u to have before starting the job. Joe the instructor will go over any material with you that you are not sure on and will help understand the theory so that once you are in the lab you know what u need to do. I’ve made a great choice by signing up at this school as a second career.

Mack Burke

Great school, has an amazing program for the electrical, supplies a set of Klein tools and has a very reasonable price for admission, would receive to people who want to learn the basics of household wiring and theory of electricity

Manh Hung Tran

The school is amazing. Staffs and teachers are truly experienced and friendly. They delivered a lot of useful knowledge. I’m currently enrolling in Pre-apprenticeship Electrician class. I’m learning many new things about electrical. Joe is a great teacher , he always tries to explain as much as he can to help students understand the most of the lesson. I highly recommend this school to those who are seeking basic knowledge to start their Apprenticeship on Electrical or Plumbing.

Ian Scott

Just finished doing the electrical course. Gained a great deal of knowledge and practical skills from the course. The teachers were fantastic, going through the course material at a reasonable pace for everyone to understand. When I first started the course, I knew next to nothing about the electrical trade, now i can honestly say I'm pretty well versed and job ready for when I start my new career!

Tyler Sanderson

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at STC.. Phil Cooper was extremely knowledgeable, and patient. i would highly recommend this class and professor for future students.

Lukas Ciulla

Great friendly and knowledgeable teachers who are always willing to assist you. Safe hands on lab experiences that give you the knowledge to start off an apprenticeship and get into the trades.

matt rayiola

I graduated from STC Mississauga, I found this school rip off They have old courses only the electrical code is new, when you finnish the program there is no job placement. Humber and Centennial college same program for free.

Jaime Parra

I am currently half way through the plumbing course and I have nothing but good things to say about this school. The plumbing teacher Phil Cooper is outstanding. He has a lot of experience both in the trade and as a teacher which makes learning very easy. He is very patient to teach and ensures that every student in the class understands before moving to the following topic. Every day is half in class and half in the shop so you’re always applying the lessons to real life situations as you would on the job. Phil is great at being present in the shop to demonstrate how to properly do the projects as well as help when obstacles arise. All in all it has been a great experience for me at STC, the curriculum is really built to get you ready for a job in the trades world. You also get a full set of Milwaukee tools to keep! I highly recommend

Ryan Westover

As a current student of STC I find it informative and an easy approach to the trades field. By the breakdowns it shows me useful tools to getting into an apprenticeship. The teachers make it fun to learn n easy to understand and are also ready to answer questions. Id recommend this school if you're wanting to join in on the exciting career opportunities this school offers. The small classes bring a more one on oh moments when it really counts

Julian Darrigo

This is a good learning experience for everyone that takes the course. You can learn a lot from this, it is very hands on and a lot of learning to take in. Also Randy is the best teacher in the school !

Kris Bell

12 weeks. In-class theory and labs, everything in the same building at the Mississauga campus. You can learn while you work. Getting certified in WHMIS, first aid and working at heights plumbing certified all within 12 weeks. Best choice amongst all available colleges and great teacher with full plumbing background!

Brad Oliveira

Best school I've gone to by far. Nothing like traditional community colleges. The teachers and staff are really dedicated here to make sure you succeed and are super understanding with any problems that may affect your schedule/learning. The small class sizes and space in the workshop definitely made my learning experience for the electrical pre-apprenticeship program a great one.

Ryan Ethier

I'm currently taking Electrical Pre-Apprentice, they have great instructors with decades of experience in the trade. The labs are well equipped and the course really gives you everything you need to start work right away. Definitely worth every penny!!

Cody Meadows

I took the plumbing pre-apprenticeship. The course was excellent and I felt like I was ready to enter the workforce before the course ended. I would recommend STC to anyone with little to no knowledge of the trade. My instructor Joe was very knowledgeable and share their experiences to help teach.
